I'm bored so I write

Hope you enjoy

It only took a few minutes, but Midoriya was back on his younger feet and was already walking home. He wouldn't want anyone to be suspicious of him literally minutes after his plan came into motion.

'This is the first and only time that I'd ever meld consciousness with another me, I only ever did this with empty-minded Nomu's and brainwashed husks of people. My younger consciousness instantly experienced all those years of being a villain, joining the League, killing heroes, killing All Might, going across oceans, being betrayed, and eventually running away underground from the literal end of the world, hence turning him into me near instantly, while I had to experience my childhood through my own memories all over again. It's a little jarring to have two sets of identical memories of my childhood, but I can live with it.'

While walking home though, he had time to think, ironically being what his younger mind had been doing before getting taken. He thought back to his plans along with the timeline of his past, he didn't usually do that because he had a lot of regrets and painful memories to dig through. Not when killing Bakugo though, no he'll treasure that memory forever, because sadly, for his plan for the future to work, the Bakugo in this timeline must live.

Fuck, he's still a little pissed off about that, doubly so that his nanites don't remove any hormones in this teenage body, since he didn't really bother with that. Double fuck. Well, it doesn't matter, he can still piss Bakugo off by being a dick.

But back to the matter at hand, he knows what comes next, he's lived it, he studied his old memories extensively and put into detail everything that he might need to know so he could manipulate it all into what he wants. Names, locations, plans, reactions of the public, even the personalities of every single person of interest. He was not going to take chances, everything had to go exactly as he had planned.

His eyes look up from the ground and take in his surroundings, when he went back in time, he didn't really have the time to go sightseeing, he instantly had to go for his younger body and prevent All Might from even knowing of his existence until needed. But now, on his way home, he could just take it all in, clean air, which he hadn't breathed in for decades, clear blue skies, a sight he hadn't seen in years even before he went underground, a few people just walking around, either going to work or going home, an impossibility back in the future, since everyone there was either dead, hiding, or were just wannabe heroes or villains trying to find some semblance of order in that desolate hellscape.

But now? Now it's just a peaceful afternoon for almost everyone, he'd cry tears of joy if this body was capable of it, but the nanites in his brain instantly kill any emotion that becomes too strong in order to keep his mind clear.

(Good thing too, because every time he remembers his legendary crocodile tears, which he inherited from his mother, he wanted to bash his head against the nearest wall.)

His steps briefly falter at the thought of his mother.

"Mom…"

Yes, he studied his own mother too, yet even with the nanites in his brain, he always feels… something inside him churn whenever he thinks about the mother he had lost. There were no biological changes to his body every time this happened, so the only explanation for this phenomenon is a spiritual reaction. Now there is no science backing this claim, and even with his incalculable intellect, he could not find any way to test it either, but if there is no definitive answer to be found, then the most unlikely culprit is probably the answer.

After all, he's met ghosts before, 8 of them in fact, who's to say that souls don't exist?

But that's enough theoretical questions about the possible paranormal nature of humanity, he's got more important matters to think about, namely about all the things that cannot be calculated, no matter how much he tries. Despite everything he had planned, society just has too many variables to take into effect for him to come up with a single plan to fix it all. He can calculate the percentage of people agreeing with this Hero Society's Ideology, but he cannot predict which individuals will do so.

Every person's mind has the potential to change ideas and beliefs on the fly, either through emotional or psychological triggers. For him to have a certain reaction that he needs from the populace, he must construct a narrative that would cause every individual who hears or sees it, no matter how different, to come to the same conclusion. Either happily or miserably, their ideas all must be aligned the way I want them to. But what would be the best way to do that?

Oh sure, he can think of hundreds of ways to manipulate them, but Midoriya didn't become so dangerous the first go around by going with half-assed plans. He could use multiple plans in unison to maximize their effectiveness, but that would require other people working for him, but how could he even get connections without even having a single shred of reputation yet?

As he ponders about his plans as he walks, one of those things that could not be calculated just happens to come by him on his way home. As he goes through the more quiet parts of Musutafu on his way home, he hears someone walk out of the alley he had just passed by and heard someone call out in a not so intimidating voice.

'Wait a minute, is that guy trying to rob me? I heard a gun's click behind me so I'm assuming he is.'

"Hey."

Ignoring the greeting from the uneducated troglodyte, he continues to walk home and go through hundreds of scenarios in his mind in just a few seconds.

"Hey!"

Getting a bit annoyed by the constant pathetic attempts at intimidation, Midoriya glances at the stranger behind him in less than a thousandth of a second and takes in everything he knows about him.

'Male, Average height, average build, around mid-twenties in age, wearing a metal helmet on his head, Quirk: Finger guns. Ah, I recognize him, he was one of the nobodies Shigaraki recruited for the USJ attack, he had no impact there, and had no impact in history, so I only know everything about him in passing. So he does his early robberies around Musutafu, I didn't run into him last time because I was already home by then back in my past.'

As the small ant continues spewing random nothings at him about wanting his wallet, an idea strikes Midoriya.

'Well I do have an idea on how to make him useful, might as well go through with it now that this opportunity fell onto my lap.'

Midoriya then smiles at the robber and cuts the man off mid monologue with a question.

"Do you have any friends or family that would miss you if you disappeared?"

The robber pauses as he finally realizes that his "victim" isn't acting the way he's supposed to.

"Wha-"

But again, Midoriya cuts him off.

"Ah, never mind, I doubt anyone would miss you. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Izuku Midoriya, now I may only look 14 years old but I'm much older than you think, so I can already tell that you are not very good at this whole "robbing" thing. I mean, I get it, I don't look very intimidating, in fact, I look practically harmless to the ordinary crooks around here, but this honestly just makes you look weak. Oh, but don't worry! You can still come out of this scenario with a win, just not the way you think." Midoriya said conversationally, as he starts to walk towards the criminal.

Realizing that the kid was starting to walk towards him he points his fingers at him and attempts to take control of the situation.

"H-hey! Stop right there, kid!"

But he didn't stop, he continued to walk towards him at a leisurely pace.

"I must admit, I didn't think I'd run into you here, but this could be an opportunity for the both of us."

"I'm warning you!"

"Now you're not really a special guy, even with all my intelligence, I still can't think of a more important role for you to carry in the grand scheme of things. But you could still make a difference if you knew th-"

*BANG*

The man, having enough of the kid's speech, fires off a warning shot near his feet, but instead of hitting the ground like he thought it would, quick as a flash the kid suddenly reached down, caught the bullet mid-flight, and stood back up with the bullet between his index and middle fingers.

Without even stopping for a moment Midoriya continues walking towards the shell-shocked crook.

"As I was saying, if you knew the stakes of this game I'm playing, you would have been honored to be a part of it."

And before the thief could react Midoriya's hand shot out at lightning speeds, and threw the bullet back at the robber, right into his knee with shattering force.

Midoriya then ran at him so fast he seemingly teleported and covered his mouth before his scream could echo around and alert anyone nearby.

Then Midoriya changed, red electricity started emanating from his body, his eyes started glowing red, and his once gentle smile turned into a mocking sneer. There was no more kindness in his eyes or tone, there was only malice and sick satisfaction.

"You should be honored that you'd be remembered, as without me your pathetic existence in the timeline would have remained insignificant."

The thief could only scream in terror and pain at the hand covering his face as Midoriya's voice changed as well. What used to be the voice of a young teen transformed into a deep, booming, unrecognizable voice that struck the thief with paralyzing fear.

"Now be a good little insect, and do what I say."

No one heard the screams of the thief that day, no one except for the body of a young boy, with the mind of a sadistic genius.

Inko Midoriya only ever wanted the best for her son.

She was currently preparing dinner for her, and for her son while pondering about his recent behavior.

Ever since he was diagnosed Quirkless, she tried everything she could to keep him happy. Cooking his favorite meal, letting him watch his favorite All Might video, and letting him buy a ton of All Might merchandise. Every time she felt tired from eating the same thing again and again, or waking up late at night to hear the same "I AM HERE!" she's been hearing for years now, she just remembers the happy smile on her boy's face and tells herself, it was all worth it.

But lately, it's been getting harder and harder for her to get a smile from her son's face. She knows the reason, of course, Izuku's in his last year at junior high, which means he's going to have to pick a new school to go to after graduation, and there's only one school that Izuku wants to go to. UA High School, the number one hero academy in all of Japan. It's always been his dream to become a hero, and going where his idol went would make him happier than she ever could. But she knows he can't be a hero, and deep down she also doesn't want him to.

Don't get her wrong, she loves Izuku more than anything else, but she also knows that Quirkless people have it rough in their society. Especially when trying to be a hero. Becoming a hero while being Quirkless would be suicide, and she knows it. But every time she thinks of what his reaction could be, if she ever tells him that, she knew that he would never recover from it. So she keeps quiet and lets her son dream, not knowing this would have resulted in some dire consequences. Luckily for her, that future would never come to pass, now that her son knows exactly what he wants to be in his future.

She hears the lock of their apartment door get unlocked, and she briefly stops setting up the table to greet her son. She sees him, with his back turned towards her, locking the door behind him.

"Hello Izuku, how was school today?"

She had asked this question hundreds of times by now, but his reaction today was very different from the norm. He stopped moving after locking the door, seemingly stared at it for a few seconds, and took a deep breath before turning to look at her. When she sees his face, she blinks in shock at his expression.

"Eh, it was fine, nothing new." He said while smiling at her.

Smiling.

Not one of those fake smiles she had seen on his face countless times by now after telling her it was fine, no, this smile was genuine. Before she could think more of it, he walks towards her and suddenly hugs her. She instinctively hugs him back and puts her surprise at the back of her mind. She doesn't know what caused this reaction, but she'd be damned if she wasn't glad that her son seemed to come home in a good mood for once.

"Nothing new? You seem to be in a good mood Izuku, are you sure nothing happened?"

"Hehe, Nah, I'm just excited about getting to work on something."

"Oh, a school project?"

"More like a… self-made project."

What happened to her son today? She had never seen him so confident and happy like this, it's like he's a completely different person. She probably should be more worried about his change in behavior, but as she stares at Izuku's genuine smile, she thinks to herself that maybe it's worth it to not ask much.

"Well, whatever it is I'm sure that you'll do a fantastic job at it."

"Thanks Mom! So, what's for dinner?"

"I made your favorite tonight, Katsudon."

So that night, for the first time in a while, Inko felt the load in her heart lighten as she talks with this new positive Izuku, and hopes that he'd be here to stay.

Author's notes:

I like mysteries in stories, so don't expect all answers to be revealed immediately.

Don't expect every chapter to come out this fast too, I just had nothing to do today.
