One for All- -contained- -power.
I edited the last chapter too, nothing big, just a few add-ons to the fight scene. First time writing so expect some of that.
Before Hawks started patrolling around Hosu.
10 days after her escape and just two months before the start of the entrance exams for UA.
Kaina Tsutsumi feels like an entirely new person, which she should because she technically is.
Ever since she was freed from Tartarus by the future Midoriya and was injected with a dose of his nanites, she had drastically changed mentally. Combining her consciousness with Midoriya's had warped her mind completely. Becoming someone new, she was now both and neither at the same time.
And through Midoriya's memories did her side understand just why she was chosen to have his nanites. Back in the future, she was approached by Midoriya to be recruited into his crusade against society. He had hacked into the HPSC's database for any heroes that were willing to fight against the lies and hypocrisy of the current Hero society and expose the shady dealings of the HPSC, and she was the head candidate.
She had briefly heard of him back when she was still in Tartarus in the future. On the rare instances that the prisoners could talk with each other, she had heard some stories from some new prisoners that were periodically being brought in about some new upstart named Izuku Midoriya, with all of their stories praising him and painting him as some sort of savior of the villains.
She actually escaped from Tartarus because of the riot he had started when he released every single prisoner inside for a distraction for the heroes to busy themselves with, while he and All For One continued their plans in the background.
While a little put off by his young age, she did agree to work with him and over time, even became closer with him, not quite friends, but above acquaintances. She grew to respect his drive, intelligence, and forethought planning in all of their various businesses.
Plus she just really liked seeing him constantly shit on the HPSC.
And Midoriya grew to like her for her skills, professionalism, and wittiness. He even asked her to train him with firearms. He was one of the few people that she knew who wouldn't screw her over, so she agreed. With the help of his nanite empowered brain and her various lessons, she turned Midoriya into one of the deadliest shooters alive, with accuracy so on point that he could put four bullets into four skulls in less time than it takes for a person to blink, and this was before he created his Quirk, he became so good at it that she was genuinely impressed at what she had created and told him that he could surpass her in just a few more months.
But she didn't live long enough to be there to see it.
Because years after the death of All Might, the League of Villains finally saw Midoriya as an expendable part of the League. Midoriya knew that it would only be a matter of time before they'd come after him. He was becoming too dangerous, and they never had any interest in expanding society or cared for his scientific breakthroughs, they only wanted to burn down the world, to rule the pile of ashes that are left.
Midoriya trusted her enough to warn her about all of it and even told her about his secret project to combat them, the Quirk that would beat them all and make One for All and All for One look like sparklers compared to what he was creating. To his surprise, she agreed to buy him time to complete his project and to protect the only other person he cared about, his mother.
But she failed.
She fought valiantly, but she never stood a chance against Shigaraki's power. He killed her and Midoriya's mother to flush him out and finally finish him off. Unfortunately for him, she had bought just enough time for Midoriya to finalize the Quirk, and in his furious rage that was so strong that his nanites couldn't erase it, he completely DECIMATED Shigaraki. Making sure that he suffered a slow and painful death. But in his rage, he failed to realize that with Shigaraki's death, he had also brought upon the end of the world.
So he went back, and now with his second chance, he plans on fixing the world his own way, the way that was originally intended.
While Midoriya had no copies of her memories of their partnership, she had his intelligence now and combined that with her knowledge of her own personality. She could figure out exactly what her thought process was in the future and why she was willing to do so much for him. Why she stuck around for so long and even died for him.
The truth was that she saw something special about him, a spark that could ignite into something the world had never seen before. His goals genuinely inspired her and convinced her that he would lead the world into the right age. Everything he's done, every life he'd taken, and every invention he built, was all for the betterment and progress of humanity. His will to change the future shines brighter than anyone else's and she knew that if she stuck by him, she would be helping him achieve his goal of improving society.
And all she ever wanted in life was to change society for the better, it was why she became a Hero in the first place.
So she knew that this was her second chance, her chance of making his dream into a reality, and she'll make sure to help him every step of the way.
One-shot at a time.
She's standing atop a building in Hosu City late at night with a new set of equipment, courtesy of Midoriya's brilliance. Her two-toned hair is put in a short ponytail, and she's wearing incredibly advanced light boots that use miniaturized reactors for jet flight. She's wearing a dark full bodysuit with a utility belt for holding ammo, the belt also has built-in gravity stabilizers to help her stay in the air with little difficulty. The belt also has two holsters on the sides that each hold a pistol. Each pistol was custom made to hold 36 of her bullets each. These were added to her arsenal for more close and medium-range capabilities.
Her bodysuit has a built-in sensor in its right elbow that senses every time she uses her Quirk, opening up and allowing the rifle to come out with no issue. It's wired with light bending technology, allowing her to shroud her body with invisibility. Its durability is no less impressive despite its plain appearance. The suit is made up of special synthesized metal fabric that is incredibly resistant to tearing and damage. This metal fiber is also incredibly lightweight and can reflect any impact thrown at it by absorbing its kinetic energy, then pushing it back. It's also heatproof, ice proof, electric proof, magnet proof, and waterproof. By using the Matter Rearranger, he gave the metal used in its creation an elastic quality with no change in its density so it doesn't impair her flexibility and weaved it into the suit that now protects her body.
This material is so effective at protection, that he has used it on his own suit with a more elastic leather feel to it. It's the perfect material for a light and powerful armor.
She's currently looking at her new wristwatch on her left arm while speaking to her new mental roommates.
'You know, if I had known that's how you'd feel about me in the future, I wouldn't have been so careless in getting you out of there.' The older Midoriya said.
"Well, it's not like you knew what I was thinking at the time. Besides you wouldn't have let me die anyway, even if I was caught."
'Yeah, but I just feel kinda bad for not noticing that you thought so highly of me.'
'I guess we really should've seen that coming, she did die for us didn't she?' The younger Midoriya jumped in.
"That I did."
The older Midoriya is now back in their base looking at the monitor that's broadcasting through the hidden camera on her suit to make sure that no possible surprises go unnoticed, and the younger one is currently lying in his bed, having spent another day fake studying for the entrance exams in UA. All three of them know that he'll pass easily, but the people around him don't, so he has to pretend to be a lot less intelligent than he is.
'Yeah, I guess I just wanted to have fun while getting you on board as quickly as possible. You were the closest thing I had as a friend in the future.'
"Well I may not be the same one from the future, I'm still me, and we already know everything about each other, so I guess you can count me as a friend now. At least you have someone else to talk to other than yourself."
'That's a bit of a depressing way to put it. You make it sound like I was a friendless loser that only had myself to talk to.' The older Midoriya jokes.
'I mean… weren't we?' The younger one questioned.
Kaina shrugged her shoulders, "That's what it looked like to me."
'Oh…, well I'm just glad that we don't have to hear another voice of myself again.'
Her watch suddenly beeps as the timer she put on it counts down to zero.
"Times up guys, showtime."
Her green eyes return to their natural purple as she cuts off their mental connection. She looked out onto the city and towards the direction of her latest target. She bends her right arm inward then activates her Quirk. But what came out wasn't the same as her old rifle. Instead of bones and tissues protruding out, what came out instead was metal. The nanites in her body rebuilt her Quirk's shape from the ground up, the nanites practically remaking the bones in her entire arm's insides.
As the nanites take shape with her Quirk, the new and improved Rifle is revealed. Now it boasts a more streamlined and sleek appearance, completely metallic with only her flesh remaining unchanged. The barrel now equipped with a futuristic silencer, the silencer creates a small vacuum around the front of the gun, preventing any sound emanating from it when she fires, making the rifle's shots to be 100% silent. The inner mechanism and chamber also received upgrades, now allowing her Quirk to hold more bullets inside of it and fire more powerful shots while preventing her gun from jamming up and reducing recoil.
A tendril of flesh rises from her rifle and forms a scope on her right eye, the scope also having been improved by giving it thermal, night vision, and x-ray settings.
Lady Nagant had become a much more dangerous assassin, all thanks to Midoriya's upgrades.
As she looks through the scope using its x-ray setting, she sees the hero she's currently targeting inside a warehouse. A corrupt hero that's currently taking bribes from the local criminals to throw off the police from their scent.
A hero that would've been the Hero Killer's victim a few weeks from now. Killing the hero would definitely get his attention. Not only that, but using one of her special bullets that come from her hair will also get the attention of the public about the murder. Both from the good and the bad members of society.
The news covered her escape from Tartarus along with the 30 guards she had killed, the HPSC adamant in making sure that she was painted as a crazed gunwoman. Everyone was talking about it, "Ex Pro-Hero escapes from Tartarus!, Lady Nagant at large!". Pro Heroes were being constantly sent out with the sole purpose of tracking her down.
It was clear that the HPSC wanted her recaptured or dead as soon as possible.
And being connected to a hero's death will force the HPSC into taking drastic action. Not to mention pique the interests of plenty of villains who knew her MO, especially All for One's.
As she takes aim at his head with a wall penetrating bullet in her chamber, the Midoriya side in her head wants to spout out a one-liner first.
"Hope you become a better hero in your next life, motherfucker."
Then she fired, there was no loud bang nor was there a strong recoil. Her special bullet went straight through the steel wall of the warehouse towards her target's head. No sound came from her as she killed the man, his entire future disappeared in a puff of red mist as the bullet cleaved through his skull and brain.
The men he was meeting with stared dumbfounded at his body for a second, before reacting accordingly. By running the hell away.

Lady Nagant's escape from Tartarus has been the top news in Japan for days.
She had been the first person in history to ever escape Tartarus alive. The worst part is, no one knows how she did it. The camera in her cell had somehow been replaying a previous date's recording, the cameras outside her cell caught no videos of her escaping, and all the footage of her killing the guards at the center elevators had been erased. No alarms went off despite the signs of a battle taking place and no signs of where she escaped from.
Lady Nagant seemingly moved through the prison like a ghost and vanished into the night.
The HPSC Committee put together that she did not escape alone, she must've had help. But from who? And why? Whoever helped her covered their tracks completely, so they didn't even have a suspicion about who it could be. They were stuck.
They sent out a public report about her escape, so as to increase their chances of capturing her sooner, but no such luck. She seemingly went into hiding immediately after escaping.
With no idea about who her help could be, nor anything about what she's planning, they could only grasp at straws and continue searching for her.
Then the body of a hero was found in Hosu City. The police were quick to close down the block and investigate the body and cause of death. The moment that the bullet was found, it was made incredibly clear exactly who was responsible.
Lady Nagant, and she is now killing heroes.
The HPSC had no idea why, but they knew they could not let this go on. The Hero Killer was bad enough as is, but having a previous hero who knows classified information going around and using her skills to assassinate other heroes? Unacceptable.
Away from the prying eyes of the people, they sent their top agent, Hawks, to look for her and silence her, permanently.
Unbeknownst to them, this was exactly as Midoriya had predicted.
(And recorded from their cameras since he just really wanted to see their faces when they found out about the escape and kill, they did not disappoint.)
