UA High School, the place where dreams of becoming a hero come true. But they don't realize the nightmare that's heading their way, luckily for them, a man from the future is here to fix (wreck) shit.
"Have you packed your notebooks Izuku?"
"Yeah, mom."
"Your handkerchief?"
"Yep."
"And ASIA will call me and the authorities if anything happens right?"
"ASIA?"
"Yes grandmother, if anything unfortunate were to happen to father, I will immediately send out a message to you and the authorities of father's location." ASIA's familiar robotic voice sounded out from his phone, but now it had a bit more emotion with it.
To Inko's knowledge, ASIA had been upgraded to be able to follow pre-programmed commands and to be able to think and feel for herself to an extent. She can do much more than that but his mother didn't need to know that.
"What about-"
"Mom," Izuku chuckled as he puts his hands on her shoulders to calm her down, giving her a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine, it's just the support course, it's not like I'll be in any danger."
It was the month of April in Japan, the air was warm and it was the perfect time of year for tourists to come by. But most importantly, it was the first day of classes for the new 1st year students at UA High School.
This was the day that Izuku Midoriya starts his journey on becoming the greatest scientist in the world.
Or at least, that's how it would seem to everyone else.
He was already standing at the front of their door wearing the standard UA male uniform with his bag behind him, the uniform consists of a light gray blazer with dark turquoise trimmings over a white dress shirt and dress pants, along with a red tie. Despite the uniform coming with shoes, Izuku decided to swap them out with his signature red high tops with white soles and black laces.
Intellectually, he knows that the shoes he wears are ugly as hell.
Personally, he just doesn't give a damn.
He will fight whoever may tell him to get rid of them.
He was ready to leave, but in her classic motherly way, his mom had to quadruple-check everything to make sure that he wasn't forgetting anything. It was already impossible for him to forget anything, even before he had the nanites, but it was her job to worry anyway.
She looks at his confident smile, she sees no fear or anxiety in his expression. She takes a deep breath to calm herself down.
"I… I know Izuku, but you know that I can't help but worry about you."
His smile became softer at her admittance. "I know mom, but seriously, you have nothing to worry about. I'll be making inventions for heroes, I won't actually be in the field so I won't be in any danger."
Inko looked at him in the eyes, looking for any doubts about his path behind them. Even after all these months of showing her that he liked inventing, she still had a few reservations about whether or not he was doing this because he wanted to. On some quiet days, she would check on him, to see if he was still longing for his old dream, but she only sees him working on machines or talking with ASIA in their house now, occasionally still helping her with some chores.
But so far, she sees her only son genuinely enjoying his new hobbies and path. She sighs in acceptance and says "Alright."
"Izuku I… I just wanted to tell you that, I'm proud of you. You're going to do great things son."
Izuku's eyes briefly widen at her honest words.
'Positive feedback. Still not used to it.'
He blushed and scratched the back of his head, a slightly embarrassed chuckle escaping from him. "Hehe, aw-shucks mom. You don't have to tell me that." He then grins in a jokingly arrogant way. "Because I know I'll do great things."
She giggles at his bravado. The sound of her happiness lifts his spirits and mood.
"Well, when you become famous and when you stand up at the podium with a speech about your success, just be sure to mention who raised such a smart boy."
"You don't have to worry about that mom." He opens the front door and begins to walk out. "I gotta go, don't want to be late for my first day after all!"
"Alright, just be careful on your way!"
"I will!"
And so, he was on his way to the train station to get to UA.
On the way, he can't help but think about how much he missed having a family again. The sounds of her cooking dishes in the kitchen as he worked in his room, her voice either muttering to herself just like he used to or asking him about his inventions, then finally, her constant maternal instincts that constantly pop up every time he does something unexpected.
He's missed it, all of it, even with his muted emotions.
He's abandoned her before, watching from afar with cameras and drones. He didn't even get to see her in person when he tasked Lady Nagant with defending her back in the future, he focused on work, just like he always did.
And when she died…
When her body was reduced to ashes with nothing left to bury her with…
He shook his head to get rid of the thought.
'No, that won't happen again. This time I won't let anything happen to her. Back then I was weak, too focused on what I wanted. My Quirk was still incomplete before I could save her, but now it's different. Nothing is going to happen to her, not while I'm alive.'
And he made sure of that.
Unknown to Inko, their house is constantly being monitored 24/7, cloaked droids patrol around their home, ready to eviscerate any possible intruder that even thinks about harming his mom. They're are powered by miniaturized fusion reactors so they can work for far longer than the mass-produced ones, and their weapons are much more lethal.
Plasma blades and lasers, Quirk scanners for identifying enemy abilities, made from near-indestructible materials, much greater strength and speed than the average droid, and greatest of all is their ability to regenerate from all manner of damage. A different variant of nanites inside of them rebuild and fix any part of their bodies that may get damaged, unlikely it may be.
Their programming was clear and concise.
Kill any intruders.
SOMETIME LATER
UA Highschool.
The school of his old dreams.
And it was…
"Huh, has it always been this lame?" He quietly says to himself.
… Boring, at least by his standards.
He's seen it before when he took his Entrance Exam, but now that he's going to spend a lot of time here, he takes a moment to just take it all in.
The front gate that scans his ID and face to make sure that he is a student that's enrolled, the large H-shaped buildings that house the students, and the security system that locks everything down in case of an emergency or intruders.
It's all so… mundane.
Perhaps it's his time from the future where he had seen and invented much more advanced security systems, or maybe it's because his high intelligence can easily think of thousands of ways to infiltrate or damage the school, but right now he was severely underwhelmed by it all.
Which is in contrast to everyone else's reactions.
He looks around and sees mouths agape in surprise like they can't believe they're actually stepping inside UA. The disbelief on their faces nearly causes him to scoff.
'There's nothing impressive about all this. I could build a school twice the size of this, and a hundred times more advanced, while drunk and half-conscious.'
But his friend disagreed.
A pink-haired human missile that goes by the name of Mei Hatsume rockets towards him and latches on to his back. He slightly leaned forwards from the force and a small grunt escapes from his lips.
"Midoriya! This place looks so cool! Imagine all the babies we can make in their design studio! Or all the things we can learn from an expert Support Item creator! Or all the ways we can improve your baby, ASIA! Or-"
'She's never going to change, is she? Well, that's fine, I actually prefer her this way.' Midoriya thinks to himself.
He looks at her from behind him. She's wearing the female version of the UA uniform, a gray dress jacket with green stripes, two pockets, and gold buttons, a white dress shirt, a red tie, a black pleated skirt, knee-high socks, and the standard student brown shoes.
He couldn't help but think, 'Huh, she looks good in that uniform.'
He says her name once, "Hatsume."
And just like that, she quiets down and gives him her full attention. He smiles at the reaction, in their time together while working on ASIA's body at Takoba Municipal Beach Park, he's started to work on her perception of him.
It was very easy to get her to like him. She wasn't used to being close with anyone other than her parents, so all had to do was act friendly with her. Add in the fact that she greatly admires his ingenuity, it was inevitable that she would eventually become attracted to him.
They haven't gone on any dates yet, Midoriya still gets a kick out of watching her get confused about her feelings and not know what they mean, it was the first time she's ever felt like this before.
He continues, "Before you get too excited, we actually have to be inside the school to do those things, sooo…"
"Right!" She yells as she lets go of him, her loud voice attracting the attention of multiple students that just want to get to their new classrooms. She dramatically points towards the front entrance. "Let's go Midoriya! This is going to be the greatest start to a new school year ever!"
+/+
*Snore*
This.
Is.
The worst start to a new school year ever.
Midoriya absentmindedly glances at the source of the snores.
Hatsume had her head leaned all the way back on her chair, sleeping from the sheer amount of boredom that currently permeates the room. He doesn't blame her, he might just get some shut-eye himself if this keeps up.
And judging by the groans and whispers around them, everyone else in the auditorium also feels the same way. There was a large part of the auditorium that was just empty chairs, the students in one entire class seemed to be missing, and based on the fact that it was the seats in front of the 1-B Hero Course, most had figured out that it was Class 1-A that was unaccounted for. While there were some initial whispers and rumors that floated around about their whereabouts when everyone took a seat, it was all forgotten in the face of Nezu's tedious speech.
Like all schools, the start of UA's new school year consists of an orientation. They were all inside the auditorium, the same room where the students first went to at the start of their entrance exams. Though, unlike last time, the room isn't filled with trepidation or eagerness for the tests, right now it's only filled with boredom.
'Nezu must really like to hear himself talk.'
The orientation started well enough, with Nezu showing a map of the UA grounds and explaining the schedules. Then he just kept talking.
And talking.
And talking.
'Decades of combat between the two of us back in the future, yet this is the most damage he's ever done to me. He should've just prepared a speech when UA was being attacked, all the villains would've just killed themselves after 1 minute.'
He lightly taps his foot on the floor in impatience. His right eyebrow slightly twitching.
'Father,' He hears ASIA's voice ring out in his head, connecting to the nanite signals in his brain. 'I detect a large amount of boredom in this instance, would you like me to play some music to alleviate it?'
He mentally shook his head. 'No need ASIA, just focus on helping the other two.'
'Very well.'
She disconnects and he's back to hearing Nezu pandering on and on.
Then suddenly,
"die!"
*boom*
Nezu didn't bother stopping his speech, though he and everyone else heard it.
A very loud and obnoxious voice rang out in the distance which was immediately followed by an explosion. While the students muttered about what it could be, Hatsume suddenly woke up from the distant sound.
'Huh, she heard that? She must be used to listening for explosions, even in her sleep. She's the only other person in the world that I'm sure had been in close proximity to an explosion more times than anyone else, other than Bakugo.'
"W-wha?" She asked half-consciously. She rubbed her eyes and cutely yawned. She then looked at him with half-lidded eyes. "Did I leave one of my babies outside or something?" She asked him tiredly.
'Cute.'
Midoriya chuckled and shook his head. "No, that wasn't one of your babies' explosions, that was a manbaby's explosion. But since you're awake, the speech is about to end so you should probably stay awake now."
She nodded her head and tried to keep her eyes forward. He sees her eyes slowly start to fall again in the effort.
He sighed tiredly and just leaned back in boredom. He couldn't help but think of his two partners in crime.
'I wish I could've just gone with my other self and Kaina, at least they're having fun.'
+/+
"Cannonball!"
*SPLASH*
Kaina shot out of the slide and dove straight into the deep pool below. A splash that reached up to 20 feet into the air was the result of her incredible speed. The water rose up so high that the Older Izuku that was watching her from a boat was about to get rained on.
Izuku 1 is wearing an unbuttoned green dress shirt that has the word 'Hawaiian shirt' written in white on the back, and green swimming trunks.
He looks up at the water about to hit him and sighed to himself. He raised his right hand and pointed his index finger towards the falling water. His finger sparked its iconic red lightning and the electricity shot out, but instead of hitting the water, the lightning manifested into a forcefield that spread and encompassed the entire ship.
The water harmlessly bounced away from the forcefield, leaving the ship completely dry, and with a flick of his finger, Izuku dispersed the red shield.
If one were to hear about both of their antics, one might assume that they were enjoying a trip or a vacation, but in reality, they were still working, they just decided to have a bit of fun with it.
A few seconds later, Kaina resurfaced from the pool. She lays on her back and just floated on the water, she's wearing a two-piece swimsuit that has the same color scheme as her hair. She sighed in contentment and opened her eyes to look up into the sky.
Right into the roof that covers this entire facility.
"You know, it's no wonder that you and some villains easily broke in here last time, the security in this place is abysmal." She loudly voiced her opinion to the future Midoriya. "Anyone with a basic working brain could probably break in here."
He shrugs. "Eh, what did you expect? No one had ever had a reason to break in here before. The U.S.J. was just used for training, there's literally nothing and no one of value here."
The Unforeseen Simulation Joint, also known as the U.S.J., is a training facility used by UA for teachers to train hero students on rescue operations. The dome-shaped is building composed of eight main sections, with six of them emulating a particular disaster scenario.
The Entrance and the Central Plaza were just the pathways into the U.S.J., with the Central Plaza being connected to the six disaster areas.
The Ruins Zone, which emulates a destroyed urban environment, with buildings found in precarious conditions.
The Landslide Zone, which simulates sloped terrain with assorted debris.
The Mountain Zone is an area with a rocky, mountainous area filled with cliffs.
The Conflagration Zone, which is just a town in a perpetual fire.
The Downpour Zone is where the environment is constantly hit by heavy rainfall and strong winds.
And finally the Flood Zone, the area that is supposed to simulate strong floods, but in all honestly it just looks like a water park, there's even a slide to complete the whole look.
And since it just looked like so much fun to be in, It would practically be a sin to not have fun here.
So they packed up some swimsuits and told ASIA to turn them invisible to the sensors and audio, and they got to work.
"Aww, no one of value?" She pouted, poked her cheeks together, and tilted her head. "I'm here so what about now? Am I not worth anything? I thought you loved me?"
"We tolerate you," Izuku 1 replied while rolling his eyes, though he did have a smile on his face. He walks back to the deck and reaches into the bag he carried for today's mission. He pulls out a disc-shaped device colored black, it was the size of his torso and the back of it had special controlled magnets. The front part had multiple panels that are shaped in hexagons and a small touchpad attached to the side.
He brings the device over to the edge and shows it to her. "Since you're in the water, you have the honor of putting this underneath the ship." He then throws it like a frisbee towards her.
She catches it and yells. "What!? You're literally on the ship! Why don't you do it?"
"Because…"
She waits for a few seconds for the rest of his sentence, when he didn't say anything else she shouts. "Because what!?"
He gives her a shit-eating grin and says, "Just because." He points down towards the bottom of the ship. "Chop chop, get to it."
She angrily glares at him, but her glare was more adorable than it was threatening so he just meets it with a raised eyebrow.
Finally, she starts to swim towards the ship with the device in hand, grumbling under her breath the whole way.
Her grumbling stopped when she dove underwater and went directly below the ship. She clamps the device on the bottom and the touchpad lights up. She then sets up the device for the intended purpose.
Activation Settings: Incapacitation Mode
Range: 20 meters
Password: ********
Cloak: Yes
And with one last press of a button, the touchpad blinked out and the device camouflaged onto the ship, completely unseen to anyone that might look in its direction.
She nods to herself and heads up back to the side of the ship, and with a strong stroke upwards, she rockets out of the surface and lands onto the ship.
"You know, you're a real asshole." She tells him with a stern glare on her face.
"I'm well aware of that fact," The aged Izuku said with a smug grin. "Got anything new to tell me?"
'Dickhead.' She calls him in her head privately.
He chuckles at her glare before turning around and leaning against the ship ledge, he looks down into the deep water. Seemingly thinking about something. Kaina walks up beside him and leans against the ledge as well. They stay in silence for a while, just looking out into the open waters.
"Hey, Izuku?"
"Hm?"
She stays quiet for a short time before asking a question.
"Do you feel regret for it? Killing those kids here back then."
He pauses at her question and doesn't answer for a few moments. He merely looks down onto the deep pool.
He remembers what he did here with perfect clarity.
THE U.S.J. TRAGEDY
"WE'RE GONNA DIE HERE!"
Shouts of fear and panic echoed out onto the deck of the ship. The screams were coming from a very short teenage boy with a large, round head, and rather puffy cheeks. He has a small stubby nose and black colored eyes and notably thin eyebrows. His most profound feature however was the top of his head, he has very short dark purple hair with four large ball-shaped clumps resembling a mohawk. He was wearing a hero costume consisting only of a purple shirt and mask with a yellow cape, boots, and gloves. His pants are white with light purple trim, and they stick out quite a lot around his waist.
"Mineta, calm down, we can't find a way to escape if you keep panicking, ribbit."
Mineta looked at the female voice that spoke, the voice had a bit of a croak in it, along with the verbal tick of saying 'ribbit'. The words were spoken by a short girl of a relatively slender build and notably large hands. Her appearance is rather frog-like; she has a very wide mouth and oval-shaped eyes with large, black irises, their lower eyelashes visibly pronounced. Her hair is a dark sea-green color and it reaches all the way to her waist with the ends tied together at the bottom. She has two shoulder-length clumps framing her face and shorter bangs between her eyes.
She was also wearing a hero costume which consists of a bright green turtleneck bodysuit, tan-colored gloves with large buckles on each wrist guard, and two matching belts, one above her breasts, and one around her waist with little green dots embedded into it. Two black lines run down her suit, each framed with yellow, and she wears tight black boots with markings in the shape of a "V" on her thighs, green webbed flippers on her feet in the shape of frog toes. She has a headband with a color matching that of her gloves, and goggles with dark green-tinted lenses attached on either side, but she has forgone them for the exercise that was supposed to take place today.
"CALM DOWN!?" Mineta shrieked. "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN WHEN WE'RE TRAPPED BY VILLAINS ASUI!?"
"I told you to call me Tsu," She calmly states. "And you need to take a deep breath, the villains still haven't attacked us for some reason, so we still have time to think of a plan."
She may have been acting with a level head, but in reality, she's also pretty scared. No one in their class expected to run into villains literally days after they just started to learn about becoming heroes. It all happened so fast, Professor Aizawa telling them to run as he fought the villains, the villain with a misty portal Quirk separated her entire class, and finally, being dropped into one of the disaster zones with Mineta and being surrounded by villains.
She's scared, any teen in these circumstances would be, but right now she knew that she had to think rationally if they wanted to survive.
"Our top priority should be getting out of here, let's tell each other what our Quirks are so we know what we can do. I'll go first, my Quirk is-"
"Frog." She was cut off by a young voice behind her. She quickly tries to turn around.
*ZAP*
But before she could face the source of the voice, she felt a strong shock hit her in the back. She couldn't even scream from the pain, because the blast did something to her body. She falls onto her side and doesn't get up despite being completely conscious.
"ASUI!" Mineta screamed in panic before he too was shot in the chest. She sees the blast that hit her in the back, it was quick, very quick. It looked like a small electric projectile that when it hit its target, immediately shocks Mineta's whole body, before he went completely limp as she did.
She hears footsteps come up from behind her, and the fear that she'd been suppressing magnified exponentially. She wanted to get up, grab Mineta, dive into the water, and swim as fast as she could. But she can't, she can't do anything right now, because her body won't respond to her. She could move her eyes and she could still breathe, but everything else on her body isn't responding to her commands.
"Your Quirk basically lets you do everything a frog can," The same voice said as he steps over her limp body, her eyes trail up to his head as he turns around and crouches to look at her. He was young, he had messy green hair and freckles on his cheeks. His eyes were green and they held a sort of sick satisfaction at her state. He was wearing a beaten-up black uniform, and he was holding a strange gun-looking device, the same device that she and Mineta were shot with.
"You can climb on walls, jump really high, extend your tongue in a fairly long distance, and I bet you can even eject your stomach's contents out."
Her eyes would've gone wider and wider if she could control them as the young villain lists all of her Quirk's abilities.
'How does he know?' She thinks.
"How does he know?" He voiced out. "That's probably what you're thinking right?" He didn't need to see her nod to know that he was right, the look in her eyes was enough.
He sat down across from her and spoke conversationally as if she was his friend. "Well, I'm a bit of a Quirk nerd, so when I heard that we were going to see a bunch of hero students in action before we kill All Might, I became ecstatic!" He spoke excitedly, his eyes going into some sort of crazed state.
"So I hacked into UA's database and checked what all your Quirks were, and I gotta say, they were all so cool! I even saw Kacchan's name there, oh but you probably don't know who that is."
He shrugged and looked to the side. "So I knew all your Quirks… But you're lucky that I didn't tell Shigaraki about them, that's probably why a girl like you with a Quirk like that ended up here, where your Quirk is actually at its strongest."
He looks back at her and notices the surprise in her eyes. "Oh, you're wondering as to why? Well," He put his hands on his knees and stood back up. "I was actually curious about who I was working for. When I heard that a bunch of villains was joining forces to kill All Might, I laughed so fucking hard." He chuckles as he remembered the moment he found out.
"But, I'm a nosy guy, so I looked around, and found out that someone was planning to use a bioengineered weapon against the Symbol of Peace. Like how fucking cool is that!? I mean, if they could make one, it was pretty obvious they could make more."
He then grabs her by the hair and starts to drag her across the deck. The pain in her scalp caused one of her eyes to flinch but she still couldn't move.
He continues, "So I wanted to join such a group, I figured I could make it far in the villain world if I joined them, but I needed to do some research. I didn't tell him about your Quirks because I wanted to see just how smart he was, I wanted to see how he would handle enemies whose abilities he was unaware of."
He reaches Mineta's paralyzed body, there were tears in his eyes and full-blown panic was overwhelming him.
"And you know what? That guy fucking sucks! He treats everything like it was a game! Bosses, mobs, NPCs, like what the fuck right? So it wasn't so hard to figure out that this guy was completely off his rocker, and definitely NOT leader material. But he had resources so…"
He grabs the front of Mineta's costume and lifts him up. "I put it all together," His voice now sounded self-assured like he figured out a riddle that was baffling everyone else. "He wasn't the real leader, he's just the student, a child villain that needed guidance, and whoever his teacher is must have a lot of power. A power that I needed."
He drags both of their bodies to the edge of the boat and looks at all the villains below them. They cheer as they see him. "So, while I may not like Shigaraki all that much, I'll stick close with him, because I have a feeling that I'm gonna like his teacher a whole hell of a lot more."
He grabs them both by the necks and holds them off the edge, tears are now excessively pouring out of their faces, fear and panic have completely engulfed them as they realized what was about to happen. Their eyes beg him for mercy.
But he ignores them.
"Now, why am I telling you all this? That's probably what you're wondering right?" He smiles viciously at them. "Well, it's simple, because you won't be alive to tell anyone about it."
Then he lets them go.
There were no screams.
There was only the splash before the sharks came.
BACK TO PRESENT
"Hey."
Izuku feels a nudge at his side as he was distracted by his memories.
He looks at his side and sees Kaina looking at him with a worried expression. He lightly shook his head, as if to shake off the memory of his crime here.
He smiles at her slightly. "Sorry about that, I got a little lost down memory lane."
Her worried eyes don't change. She was just as smart as he was now, and she knew that he's probably thinking deeply about that moment. She knows what happened of course, but she's only got a copy of those memories, not the real thing. Her psyche may be a combination of his and hers, but in order to stabilize her sanity, the emotional parts of his memories had to be muted. So she knows what happened and what he may have thought about it afterward, but not the emotions that may have come with it, both the muted and non-muted ones.
She feels the atmosphere around them become a little uncomfortable. So she decides to lighten it up a little.
"Pssh." She sneers with a cocky smile. "Lost? How the hell could you get lost," She waves her hair dramatically to the side and strikes a sexy pose, both of her hands were behind her head with her fingers interlocked with her hair, and her hip slightly cocked to the side. "When you have this smoking hot beacon right next to you?"
He stares at her blankly for a full 10 seconds.
"Pfft."
Before cracking up and laughing quietly to himself.
He turns off the nanites just so he could enjoy the small laughter for its full duration, and to her credit, she wasn't really wrong. Her two-piece swimsuit wasn't exactly the most conservative piece of swimwear, her incredibly built and well-endowed body was practically on show, with only a few parts being covered up. She was hot, and to deny it was to deny reality.
But he wasn't about to let her have the bragging rights of him admitting that.
He laughs for a good solid minute before finally calming down.
"Hehe, oh man, that was a good one. Thanks, I needed that." He smiled genuinely.
She gives him a thumbs up in response.
He looks back out into the water with a more relaxed smile on his face.
"To answer your question, by the way, I've had a long time to think about everything I did with the League. This is where it basically started you know? I killed them both for two reasons, one was to gain Shigaraki's trust, I was honest in wanting to know who his teacher was. The second reason though," He chuckles to himself as he remembered his justification for it.
"I was just young and dumb, I was angry at All Might, angry at the world. I knew that killing them would hurt people, would hurt him, so I did it. Do I feel regret for it? Yes, but maybe not for moral reasons, if killing them were to advance our plans now then I'd do it again in a heartbeat. But I know better now, their deaths would be too much damage to hero society too quickly, completely unfixable damage to all heroes, and it lets the villains gain too much power. All of Class 1-A needs to live because they'll be useful to us and that's it."
She looked at him in contemplation before humming to herself. "And their growth will be the perfect springboard for Izuku 2's rise to popularity among the hero community."
"Bingo."
She chuckles and goes back next to him, leaning on the ledge.
"And if Bakugo's new score in the entrance exam was any indication, then he's already on his way."
+/+
The first day of classes was over now, the front gate of UA was packed with students ready to go home. There were plenty of students that are already walking in pairs and groups. Some of them were classmates in their previous schools, some were the upper classes going home with their friends from the previous year, and a few of them were first years that were able to make friends already after just one day of knowing their new classmates.
But there was one student that's walking out completely alone voluntarily.
'Stupid ponytail bitch and half-and-half bastard. I'll beat them, I swear it! Because I'm going to be the Number 1 hero!'
Bakugo was pissed off, but that was nothing new. What was new though was the reason why he was so pissed off.
The first day of classes started off normal enough for him, though there was this one four-eyed elitist that tried to tell him off in the classroom, and when he tried to insult the bastard, a girl with pink cheeks went up to him and started to tell him off too!
But before he could blow the two fuckers up, the teacher crawls out of their yellow sleeping bag and interrupts and scolds them for fighting on the first day of class. He tells all 19 of them to go change in their P.E. uniforms and go outside.
A Quirk Apprehension Test, they were to be scored by 8 different fitness tests with the aid of their Quirks with last place being expelled.
Hell. Yes.
He didn't care about the expel part, if someone got expelled then they obviously didn't make the cut. He was more interested in the scoreboard. He thought he had it in the bag, his Quirk was the fucking best at everything! So 1st place should've been a fucking breeze!
But reality decided to kick him in the dick and he was stuck in 3rd place. Not even fucking 2nd!
That's the reason why he was pissed. Because, for the first time in his life, he felt like he'd lost. It wasn't a competition, but to him it was.
He's lost today, but it wasn't going to stay like that.
He'll become stronger, stronger than anyone else! Even stronger than All Might!
While he was huffing on his way home, he hears a familiar voice that he'd been avoiding (Not because he's scared!) for months now.
"Fancy seeing you here Bakugo."
He freezes on the spot and turns around at the oh-so-familiar voice.
Bakugo was around halfway to the station, and there, leaning on a wall was Deku.
His face instinctively goes into a snarl and he asks, "What the hell do you want Deku?"
Deku had the gall to look shocked at his antagonistic tone and says, "Oh, is there anything wrong with talking to an old acquaintance?"
Bakugo growled. "You didn't answer the fucking question, what the fuck do you want?"
Deku only smiled at his anger, further infuriating him. "I only wanted to say congrats, I knew you'd make it into UA, hell, you even got first place."
"That was a no-brainer Deku, I've always said I was going to be the number 1 hero!"
"Oh I know about all that, what surprised me was the score you got."
"What of it?" Bakugo asks with gritted teeth.
Deku holds up five fingers. "You got 5 rescue points."
Bakugo only glared at him, practically yelling for him to get to the point.
"Hehe, 5 rescue points huh? I'll be honest with you, I didn't expect you to even get even one of those when I heard about them. But color me surprised, 75 villain points and 5 rescue points." He then abruptly laughs uproariously, barely able to get his next words out. "5 rescue points!? What the heck did you do to get 5 rescue points!? Did you kick someone over that was about to be attacked!?"
Bakugo's Quirk pops off sparks from his fingers as Deku continued to laugh at him. Like he was mocking him.
Deku slowly stopped his laughing fit and looked at him again. "You know, I've always seen you selfish and vain. I still think that, and maybe the rescue points were just a fluke, but hey, I hope you can see from this that helping someone can have a reward you know? Maybe it might even help you win? Who knows?"
He shrugged before turning back around. "You might even become number 1 for doing it." and with that, he just walks away without another word.
Bakugo stared at his back confused as all hell.
'The fuck? Winning by saving someone?' He scoffs. 'What a load of bullshit.'
He resumes his walk to the station.
But Izuku's words still stick with him the entire way home.
And Done. It's a little long but I like what I got done.
We're finally in UA now, what do you think Midoriya will change in his time there?
