Coco: Hey, guys, I'm back like I said I would be, and I hope you're having a wonderful holiday wherever you are. I did get a little behind on some of my work. So, everything but Bright Like a Diamond was finished and I am so sorry about that. I unfortunately got sick and it slowed me down. But I am better, and I promise you that I am still working on that story to all of whom are you reading it.

So, the other two rewrites will be posted tonight. I have them all typed up and ready to go along with the chapters I promised and I hope you're ready for them. Now without further ado, let's get started, shall we?

"Loke!" Rizzo called as she ran through the streets of Magnolia. "Loke, answer me!"

She didn't receive an answer, which had her hands clenching into fists. All she could hear were the others calling for him as she was.

"Loke, when I find you, I'm going to kick your ass!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. "You jerk!"

He lied to her. He told her everything was fine. But something had been bothering him. He didn't rely on them…his family. And she didn't understand why. But when she finds him, she's going to beat him until he realizes he isn't alone.

"Loke, where are you?!" Rizzo shouted.

She then turned when hearing footsteps coming her way. For a moment she thought it was Loke, but when seeing it was Gray, the hope she had been feeling dropped.

"You're having no luck either, huh?" Gray asked looking just as frustrated as her.

"He might not even be in Magnolia anymore." Rizzo said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "If that's the case, finding him will be even harder."

Gray's frown deepened because Rizzo had a point. He then sighed as he reached out and placed a hand on Rizzo's shoulder. A kind gesture that had Rizzo looking at Gray in surprise.

"We'll find him," Gray assured her. "I know it might sound weird, but I think Lucy knows something we don't. When I told her about Loke, she took off like she knew where to go."

"Lulu knows something?" Rizzo asked.

Well, whatever it was, Rizzo hoped it was enough to bring Loke back to them. Rizzo doesn't want to lose any more family. She isn't sure if she can handle that kind of pain again.

"There you are," Lucy said as she found Loke at Karen's grave.

Loke turned around a bit surprised to find Lucy since no one from Fairy Tail should know of this place.

"Lucy," Loke murmured.

"The whole guild is looking for you," Lucy told him.

Loke didn't reply as he looked down. He knew they would be. They were too loyal for their own good. Always looking out for one another. He had been lucky to be part of such a guild for the time he had had left.

"That's Karen's grave, isn't it?" Lucy asked him.

He looked up at her with wide eyes as she was giving him a kind, gentle look.

"She was a great Celestial Wizard, and she had a contract with you, right?" Lucy asked. "The spirit Loke. Wait, that's not really your name. Your name is Leo. Leo the Lion."

Loke probably should have been more surprised that she found out, but he wasn't. Though he supposed it didn't really matter that his secret was out now.

"Well, I won't deny it," Loke said. "But how did you find out?"

"Don't forget, I'm a Celestial Wizard too," Lucy reminded him. "And I have contracts with a lot of spirits. It wasn't too hard to dig up the truth. But still, you should have come to talk to me about this. Normally, whenever the owner of a gate key dies, the contract between wizard and spirit is terminated. The spirit is then forced back into their world until the key falls into new hands and a contract is made. Your contract with Karen should have ended on the day she died. I don't understand why you're still here. I've never heard of that before. That's just not the way it's supposed to work, right?"

Loke didn't answer at first as Lucy tried to understand why he was still here in the human world and not the celestial world.

"I know your kind can't survive in the human world for long," Lucy said. "Just like how humans can't survive in your world. It will slowly sap away your life 'til finally there's nothing left."

"That's right," Loke said with a nod. "And it's been three years now."

Lucy gasped and nearly fell over in shock at his confession since it didn't seem possible.

"Three years?" Lucy asked. "I didn't even think one was possible."

"Yeah, pretty amazing, huh?" Loke replied. "But I don't have the strength to keep it up."

And he didn't want his friends at Fairy Tail to go through his death, which is why he left. He wanted to spare them that kind of pain. But also, he didn't want them knowing of his sin. The reason behind his soon to be death.

"Hold on, there has to be some kind of way I can save you." Lucy said. "Why can't I just open a gate for you? Tell me, why you can't go back to the spirit world."

"You don't need to save me," Loke said.

"What do you mean?" Lucy demanded. "If you don't get some help soon, you're as good as dead!"

"Look, there's no way I can go back." Loke insisted.

Lucy frowned because she didn't understand why he was being so stubborn about this. He couldn't want to die, and she would do whatever she can to help. So, she doesn't understand why he won't let her help.

"But why?" She asked.

"I broke a fundamental law that applies to both wizard and spirit." Loke replied. "And as a result, I was banished from the Celestial World for eternity."

"Loke…just what did you do?" Lucy asked.

Loke turned to look at the blonde who looked at him imploringly; wanting to know what he's been hiding all this time.

"I can't deny my crime," Loke said. "So, I have but no choice to face the punishment. I'm a traitor to my own kind. I was contracted to Karen, but she died because I killed her."

Lucy gasped not wanting to believe it. She hasn't known Loke long, but she knew he wasn't some kind of killer.

"I can't believe it." Lucy said. "You had a contract…and you killed her?"

Loke nodded his head as he put his hands inside his pockets and looked down at the ground.

"And spirits who kill their wizards are forever banished from the Celestial World," Loke explained. "So, I'm just going to disappear. Right here in front of her grave."

"Loke," Lucy said softly.

Loke sighed as he turned to face Karen's grave. The time he spent with her still fresh on his mind.

"It was about three years ago." Loke told Lucy.

He told his story to Lucy. About how Karen abused not only him but her other spirts as well. Especially Aries. Lucy's eyes widened not believing that a Celestial Wizard would do such cruel things to their spirits. Spirits were a Celestial Wizard's friends…their companions.

"I couldn't do much to stop her since Aries and I were still contracted to her." Loke continued.

So, he explained how he told Lucy how he told Karen to release them and how he decided to remain in the Celestial World under his own power until Karen saw reason. He knew she wouldn't be able to summon a spirit with him in the human world. Thus, she wouldn't find work, and be forced to agree to his terms.

"She lasted a few days before coming to find me," Loke told Lucy. "But I turned her away because she refused to release us. Then a month passed, and she returned again. She begged me to return…promised things would be different, but when I refused her again, she beat me and yelled at me to die. Threatened to treat Aries even force."

Lucy felt her eyes filling with tears at this point as she couldn't imagine the kind of pain Loke and even Aries went through.

"Finally, it had been three months, and I planned to return to Karen…thinking she might have learned her lesson," Loke said. "But by then…things took a turn I hadn't expected."

He revealed Master Bob had come to speak with him and give the news of Karen's death. Despite her cruelty, Loke had been devastated by Karen's death. Even shedding tears for the woman.

"It's my fault" Loke said. "When someone dies, they're gone forever. I wish I could bring her back, but that's just not possible. The only way I could make things right, if I were to die too."

Lucy shook her head because that was wrong. Loke hadn't meant Karen harm. He only had good intentions. Loke then grunted in pain. He fell towards the ground, which caused Lucy to gasp.

"Oh no," Lucy said as she hurriedly crouched down in front of Loke. "Loke!"

"I guess this is it," Loke said as his body started in fade in and out. "It's my time."

"What do you mean your time?" Lucy demanded.

"For me to disappear forever," Loke said.

"You can't just give up!" Lucy said.

Loke gave a tired smile to the blonde. Her kindness meant more than she knew, and he'd always remember it.

"Ever since that day, I've been banned from the Celestial World." Loke said.

"No, your hands," Lucy fretted when seeing they were beginning to disappear.

Loke didn't seem to be concerned as he only gave a tired smile despite the fact he was painfully fading away.

"When I killed Karen, I broke a fundamental Celestial Law," Loke continued. "Now I have to pay the price. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her and what I did. I tried to stay distracted, so it won't constantly be on my mind, but it's like she's haunting me. I've been waiting for this. For my magic energy to finally run out, and now it's about to happen right in front of Karen's grave. And then I'll be free…free from the guilt that's burdened me. Before I go, I want to thank you. You've restored my faith in Celestial Wizards."

He then winced as he fell farther back. He could tell it wouldn't be long now.

"Wait!" Lucy begged. "I can save you. You can't give up yet."

"Please, tell everyone in Fairy Tail I said goodbye…and Rizzo…please tell her I'm sorry for lying to her and that I'm happy to have been part of Fairy Tail with her and everyone else." Loke said.

He didn't want to leave this world with his family thinking he didn't appreciate all the time they had together. Every moment with them whether sad or happy or chaotic are moments he cherishes.

"That's not fair!" Lucy's voice cracked with emotion as she hit the ground. "I won't let you die! All you have to do is go back to the Celestial World and your lifeforce will be restored, right? There's got to be a way I can send you back!"

Loke looked at the blonde in surprise as he didn't understand why saving him was so important to her. They barely knew each other.

"I'm afraid that impossible," Loke said. "I broke the law, and I'm being punished."

"Even so," Lucy insisted. "This isn't right. You didn't kill Karen! It was just an accident!"

She then reached out to grab Loke by the shoulders as she already made up her mind. She was going to save him. No matter what it took.

"It wasn't your fault!" Lucy cried. "Open Gate of the Lion! Take Leo back to the Celestial World, please! Open!"

When nothing happened, she let out another sob as she rested her forehead against Loke's chest.

"Calm down," Loke said as he put his arms around her. "It won't work. It's okay."

"It's not okay!" Lucy argued as she grabbed his arms to shake him. "I can't just sit here while my friend disappears right before my eyes."

She then gave a shout as she pushed out as much magic power as she could muster. She and Loke both were surrounded by a golden light as her magic power surged.

"Open: Gate of the Lion!" Lucy ordered while feeling some kind of resistance pushing back against her command.

"Stop it!" Loke said. "You're going to use up all your magic energy like this!"

"Whatever it takes!" Lucy shouted back. "I'm going to save you, Loke! I'll open your gate. I won't give up! I promise I'm going to get you to the Celestial World!"

Loke tried to protest once more, but Lucy wouldn't listen as she tried against to open his gate.

"Open: Gate of the Lion! Open!" She yelled.

She pushed even more of her magic power out, but she felt nothing budging. However, she wasn't going to give up until she saved her guildmate.

"It's not going to open for you," Loke said. "As far as they're concerned, I'm responsible for Karen's death. They're not going to let me go back!"

Lucy just yelled in effort as she managed to push out even more magic power. She'd keep going until something gave.

"Cut it out, Lucy!" Loke begged. "You're starting to assimilate with me! If you don't stop, you're going to disappear too!"

"I won't stop until the gate's open!" Lucy said stubbornly. "I won't let you die! What's the point in having magic power if you can't use it to save the people you care about?!"

Loke didn't understand this girl at all. Many would have given up by now, but Lucy kept pushing. It made him fear for the girl's life, and the thought she'd die trying to help him, made him feel sick.

"Don't do this," Loke said. "Please, don't make me live with the guilt of killing you too!"

"You didn't kill her!" Lucy told him once more. "Whoever decided you were responsible needs to know that they were wrong!"

The two then gasped when a sudden surge of power that wasn't Lucy's forced the two apart. Loke caught the blonde before she could hit the ground as the world around them seemed to freeze. Lucy looked around in surprise as she wondered what could be going on. The two them looked to the sky as the stars spun in circles in its midnight blue depths. The water then rose and spun as it was sucked up towards the sky.

"Whoa, what's going on here?" Lucy asked frightened.

"Impossible," Loke said as a large imposing figure appeared before them. "It's him…the Celestial Spirit King. What in the heck is he doing here? And he brought the Primordials."

Lucy gasped as she looked at the large, mustached figure who was dressed in armor and wearing a cape. Though he wasn't the only one there as eleven lights appeared around him.

"He's the king?" Lucy whispered. "Like the ruler of the Spirit World? And those lights are the Primordial Spirits? But there's only eleven..."

A light then appeared behind the two, which had them turning their heads. Laelaps appeared in a white, silvery light with spear in hand as she looked down at Loke and Lucy.

"…Laelaps…" The two murmured in unison.

Laelaps didn't reply as she looked up at the Celestial Spirit King, which brought Lucy and Loke's attention back to him as well.

"Hello, my old friend," the Spirit King addressed Loke. "As you well know, both wizards and spirits must obey Celestial Law, and taking the life of a keyholder is forbidden under any circumstance. Though not by your hand, you are still responsible for your keyholder's death, Leo the Lion. Therefore, you have been banished from Celestial World for eternity."

Loke looked down at the ground because he already knew that and accepted his fate, which is why he didn't understand by the Spirit King was here now.

"Hold on!" Lucy butted in. "That doesn't seem fair at all."

"Lucy, stop," Loke pleaded.

He didn't want her getting into trouble. The Celestial Spirit King was a powerful being, and while he might not harm Lucy, he could make it where the girl had to give up her spirits. And Loke knew how much they meant to her.

"Old friend, human girl, I have made my judgement and it stands." The Spirit King told them both. "Leo has broken Celestial Law."

Loke just sat there in surprise as he couldn't believe the Celestial Spirit King came all the way here just because Lucy didn't agree with his verdict. She was just one human. What she thinks or says shouldn't matter to someone as old and as powerful as him.

"Loke, has been suffering in the human world for three long years," Lucy told the king. "He didn't kill Karen, but he did stand up to her because someone had to protect Aries."

"My master does have a point, Great King," Laelaps spoke up. "The Celestial Law dictates we must never kill our keyholder. But there isn't a law that protects us from suffering abuse at the hands of our keyholders in return. So, what other choice could Leo have made to try and protect Aries? The cub was merely looking out for one of our own and he has only suffered because of it."

Loke looked back in surprise at Laelaps, but the dog spirit kept her eyes on the Spirit King. Many murmurs of agreement came from the eleven lights of the Primordial Spirits. Many of them voicing in agreement with Lucy and Laelaps, which wasn't what Loke was expecting.

"I must say, I find it heartbreaking to see my old friend in such a fragile condition." The Spirit King said.

"What is wrong with you?!" Lucy demanded. "An old friend is still a friend, right?! Well, there's one in front of you right now as for a second chance, so open your eyes, Stache-Face!"

Shocked murmurs came from the gathered lights at what she dared to call the Celestial Spirit King though a few laughs could be heard as well. Behind her, Laelaps and Loke sweat-dropped.

"Stache-Face?" the Spirit King repeated.

"Uh, Lucy," Loke tried to caution.

"Karen died because she took on a job she couldn't handle!" Lucy continued as she ignored the lion spirit. "He had nothing to do with it. You have to change your verdict because he's innocent, please, sir."

She then started using her magic appear again, which appeared in the form of bright, yellow light.

"Just drop it already!" Loke demanded. "It doesn't matter if the verdict has changed. I'm not looking for forgiveness. I want to disappear and finally be freed from this guilt!"

He then grunted in pain when Laelaps hit him in the back of his head with the blunt side of her spear. Before he could ask why she did that, Lucy let out a scary amount of magic energy.

"I won't let you!" She shouted as her power surged forward. "You disappearing isn't going to bring Karen back to life. All it's going to do is create more sadness! You did nothing wrong because it can't be a crime to protect the people you care about!"

Loke watched with wide eyes as all of Lucy spirits appeared around her; every last one of them. He looked to Laelaps wondering if she might be doing this, but when the dog spirit shook her head, he was amazed. Amazed Lucy managed to summon so many spirits at once.

"What about all of your friends?" Lucy asked him. "You're just going to leave them? If you were to die, you'd leave me and Aries and everyone else here behind! Think about us and how miserable we'd be without you!"

Lucy's power then began to drain as her knees became weak and her vision blurred. All her spirits, but Laelaps, were forced back to the Celestial World as she fell towards the ground; unable to keep them open any longer. She was caught by Laelaps who gently lowered her down and kept Lucy in her lap.

"Lucy!" Loke called in concern.

"She'll be fine," Laelaps said as she smiled at the blonde. "I haven't known her long, but she is a splendid young wizard with a kind heart."

Laelaps stroked the girl's hair affectionately as she spoke as Lucy clung to Laelaps to try and sit up.

"All of my friends who came forward just now…" Lucy began weakly. "They feel the same way I do. If you're a celestial spirit too, you can sympathize what Loke and Aries went through."

She said this to the king as she managed to turn around in Laelaps' hold to look up at the tall figure.

"Great King, if you are still not moved by this girl's plea for Leo and everything, she has done to risk herself for him, I will call for a primordial intervention." Laelaps told the king.

Murmurs came from the lights once more. Lucy looked confused wondering what it meant. She glanced at Loke noticing how pale he turned and how he looked worriedly at Laelaps.

"We all remember the last time that happened, do we not?" Laelaps continued.

It was silent for a long moment before the Celestial Spirit King seemed to come to a conclusion.

"There is no need to take such a measure for I have already made my decision, my old friend," The Celestial Spirit King announced.

Laelaps smiled while glad to hear it, and she's sure those Fairy Tail wizards who have been worried for Loke will be happy as well.

'Well, this wasn't the reaction I was expecting,' Laelaps thought with a smile and a bead of sweat running down the side of her face as she watched Rizzo throttling Loke.

The pinkette was shouting at him for being stupid and running away without asking for help as Gray was trying to pull her off of the lion spirit. Happy and Natsu were just freaking out and trying to ask Loke questions, which he did try to answer despite the abuse he was receiving. All in all, it was chaotic as usual. Beside her, Lucy was sweat-dropping as well.

"Alpha, you have interesting friends," Laelaps said. "Though I suppose I was already beginning to understand that."

"Yeah, they're nuts," Lucy agreed.

The two then shared a laugh as Gray finally managed to get Rizzo off of Loke. The lion spirit smiled at the pinkette though he felt bad for worrying her.

"Gotta say, I'm surprised I never caught on to you." Gray said as he finally released Rizzo.

"How come you're not a cow or a horse or a crab?" Natsu asked. "You're just a dude."

"Virgo has a human form too," Loke pointed out. "It's not like we're all animals."

"You say that, but I've seen her turn into a gorilla!" Natsu argued.

Rizzo, who finally calmed down, frowned as she remembered when Virgo turned into a giant monster woman. It had been too much to take in considering the form she had just seconds prior.

"She's not really a gorilla," Loke said.

"Loke here is actually a lion spirit." Lucy said.

Natsu and Happy gasped in shock as they looked at Loke who smiled at the both of them in return.

"A lion is like a grown-up cat, right?!" Happy asked excitedly.

"Yep, you got it," Loke said.

"Leo, don't lie to the kitten/Don't you like to him!" Laelaps and Lucy said in unison.

Loke just turned and smiled at the two of them, which caused Laelaps to sigh. As she shook her head at him, Loke's smile widened. Getting to be this close to her again, made him happy, and thanks to Lucy, he'd be able to be with Laelaps and all the others again. He then turned to Happy as the blue cat landed on his shoulder.

"You're the coolest spirit ever," Happy said dreamily.

"Shouldn't you be resting up in the Celestial World right now?" Gray asked.

"Yeah, considering you were close to death and all, you might want to get your ass back there." Rizzo added.

It was a rare moment of the two agreeing with each other, which had Loke's smile turning up even more.

"I'm doing a lot better than I was." Loke said. "I just wanted to come and say hi. Well, that and I couldn't wait to see Lucy again."

As the blonde blushed, Laelaps looked away with a bothered expression. One that Loke noticed. Laelaps then sighed.

"Finish what business you have here, Leo." Laelaps told him. "You may feel better, but you shouldn't spend too much time in the Human World until your magic power is completely restored."

"Right," Loke said with a nod before digging inside his pockets. "Here, guys, a little gift for everything that Lucy's done for me."

The wizards blinked curiously as Loke held out some tickets. Tickets to a very special, exclusive resort.

"You're really giving us these?!" They all asked in surprise.
