Hi guys!
I hope you are all doing well!
First, I want to thank HoJ Roxas, for the lovely review. Your review is really helpful! Especially since I have some reservations myself about her basketball skills. In no way do I want to compare her skills with the skills the Miracles exhibit and make her a Mary Stue persona. She certainly is not. I will rethink in which direction I want to take my story in this aspect. But I'm glad you're liking the interaction and growth and if you don't mind me asking, which ship do you prefer?
Thank you for your kind words and I hope you have a good week and stay safe.
Next, I want to thank Ashley.louth, for the lovely review. I feel so honoured that you chose my story to review! Really means a lot to me, especially hearing that you have been a long-time reader! Your idea is a great one! I hadn't even thought about writing it in their perspective but now I am intrigued. I think this might be something I could release as a bonus, but I first have to write this, which might take some time considering that my life is very stressful right now. I will keep you in the loop about my decision.
Next, I want to thank AlexisHard for the lovely review. I laughed when I read your review. We apparently had the exact same idea in mind! I had to incorporate Hanamiya into the storyline. This was an opportunity I wasn't going to miss. I agree with your view on Haizaki. I think he would be someone who could be changed if someone bothered. Unlike Hanamiya. Greetings and hugs back to you!
And last but not least, I want to thank armydancer01, for the lovely review. My thoughts exactly! Hanamiya can certainly cause these emotions!
Thank you, guys, for everything! You motivate me to keep going and I am really thankful you take the time to read my work and even comment on it!
Enjoy Chapter 31! And maybe a certain someone will make an appearance you all have been patiently waiting for.
Chapter 31: Recovery
Immediately after the award ceremony I was escorted by Midorimas father to the hospital.
He checked me into a room and conducted further examinations. The door was firmly shut and after a while I heard voices outside my room.
"It appears your friends have arrived." Midorimas father said softly to me, which caused me to chuckle, which resulted in immediate pain.
"Your nose isn't broken." He said. "Which is good. You have a black eye and extensive bruising around your abdominal area. You also have a slight concussion and as I had suspected two cracked rips. I will give you some pain medication to make it slightly easier for you and you will need to stay overnight for observation."
I nodded.
"Thank you, Midorima-sensei." I said.
He nodded.
"I'm glad nothing else happened." He said slowly. "This boy should be expelled for what he has done."
I nodded.
"They were amazing, weren't they?" I said smiling fondly thinking back of their amazing achievement.
"Hai." He said. "They were. I think we better let them in so they can celebrate with you."
"Thank you, Midorima-sensei."
He left and my friends entered.
They immediately gathered around my bed and I smiled fondly at each and every one of them.
"What did my father say?" Midorima asked immediately.
"No broken nose, but a concussion and two cracked rips." I said slowly and their reaction was immediate.
They looked murderous again.
"Emi-chan." Momoi said looking at me.
"What is it, Sa-chan?" I asked.
"I called your parents." She said.
My eyes widened in surprise.
"They are on their way here." She said.
"They are?" I asked.
Momoi nodded.
"Midorima-sensei told me you need someone who takes care of you for a couple of days and I knew your parents would want to know what had happened."
"It didn't even occur to me to call them." I said feeling a bit guilty.
"You had a lot on your plate." She said smiling softly at me.
I nodded.
"You guys should go celebrate." I said.
They all shook their heads.
"And leave you here on your own?" Midorima asked sounding scandalized.
"Not a chance." Aomine said. "We're not leaving you."
I smiled softly at them and soon Murasakibara took out his bag of snacks and to everyone's surprise he was even willing to share them.
We had a blast celebrating our victory.
Nobody came and interrupted our fun. I had the suspicion that Midorimas father had told them not to. It was slowly getting late and soon it was time for them to go.
"Thank you for dropping by." I said when they all stood up.
"Of course, Emi-chin." Murasakibara said while handing me another chocolate bar.
"We're coming back first thing tomorrow morning." Akashi said and I smiled at them.
I nodded at them, feeling how my eyelids were getting heavier and heavier. They all waved me goodbye with the exception of Aomine who had not moved from his seat.
"Daiki?" I asked slowly.
"Yes?" He asked leaning back in his armchair and making himself more comfortable.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Staying here of course." He said.
I looked at him and warmth was spreading inside of me.
"Daiki." I said softly. "You don't have to."
"I know." He said meeting my eyes. "But I want to. It was my fault he came after you and instead of remaining by your side I went and attacked him after seeing you lie unconsciously on the ground."
I saw how guilty he was feeling and how much he blamed himself. And it broke my heart.
"I'm not angry at you, Daiki. Nor do I think it was your fault."
Aomine looked hopefully up at me.
"Can you forgive me?" He asked.
"There is nothing to forgive." I said sternly albeit smiling softly at him.
"When I saw you lying on the ground, not moving, I thought I had lost you." He confessed quietly. "I wanted to hurt him so badly for what he had done to you."
"Can you come a bit closer?" I asked.
He gave me a puzzled expression but moved his chair closer to my bed and when his face was closer to mine, I kissed him.
He immediately kissed me back so passionately and with a sense of urgency that I realised how afraid he had been for me.
When our lips parted, we looked at one another for a long time.
Neither of us was saying anything but we both knew what the other was thinking and feeling.
We were distracted when we heard a knock on my door.
Standing in the doorway where Aomines parents. Smiling softly at the both of us.
"Mind if we come in?" Yua, Aomines mother asked.
I shook my head.
"Not at all."
They walked towards us and Aomines father sat down next to him while Yua first planted a small kiss on my forehead before sitting down on the other side.
"How are you feeling, dear?" She asked softly.
"Alright." I said. "It's not hurting that badly anymore."
"Good." She said. "It was horrible watching this boy collide with you."
Aomines fists clenched and his parents immediately noticed.
"You know, son." Aomines father spoke up. "As a police officer I condemn acts of violence but this boy certainly deserved a good beating."
Aomine looked surprised at his father before he said.
"Yeah. I wished I had had the opportunity."
But after seeing the look on my face he added with a soft smile while moving a strand of hair out my face.
"But we gave him another kind of beating."
"A better one." I said approvingly and his mother nodded.
"Much better." She agreed.
"What are you two doing here?" Aomine then asked.
"Well." His mother said. "First of all, we wanted to check in to see if Emiyo was alright. Second we wanted to congratulate our son on winning Nationals and thirdly." She said while looking between the two of us.
"We wanted to bring you your stuff because we knew that you would refuse to leave her side."
His father handed him a bag, which Aomine promptly opened to find a change of clothes and his tooth brush and other necessities in it.
Aomine was still wearing his jersey, but at least they had all showered before coming to visit me. So, he didn't need to take one here.
Me on the other side needed one desperately. My face had been cleaned by Midorimas father and bandages were wrapped around my stomach but I felt dirty and part of my hair were still covered in blood.
"Thanks." Aomine muttered and his parents nodded.
"Oh, and another thing." Yua said slowly before a wide grin appeared on her face.
"I'm so happy you two are finally together." She said and we both blushed immediately.
"I knew from the moment I met you that my son has fallen head over heels for you."
"Mum." Aomine groaned and I chuckled.
"What?" She asked incredulously. "It's true, Daiki."
I laughed but I stopped when I felt my rips protest painfully.
"Were your parents informed?" Aomines father asked.
I nodded.
"Hai. Sa-chan called them. They are on their way."
"Good." He said. "Otherwise, we would have invited you to stay at our house for a couple of days."
"That's very kind of you." I said smiling softly.
They both returned my smile before exchanging a look and then standing up.
"We better go and let you get some rest." Yua said. "Daiki take care of her and make sure she gets enough sleep."
Aomine nodded.
"We will be back tomorrow." Aomines father said.
"Sleep well." They both said before leaving the room.
"You heard them, Em." Aomine said softly while stroking my hair softly.
"You should really get some sleep."
And before I could protest any longer, I felt my eyelids once again getting heavier and heavier before I couldn't keep them open any longer.
The last thing I remembered before dozing off was Aomine kissing me softly.
xXx
I woke up the next morning to my aching rips.
When I opened my eyes, I smiled seeing Aomine soundly asleep with his head perched on my bed. I began stroking his hair and he slowly began to wake up.
His eyelids fluttered open and he immediately sat upright when he saw me awake.
"How are you feeling, Em?" He asked hoarsely.
"My rips are hurting. I think I need to take some pain killers again."
He nodded looking like he was about to stand up to go get someone.
"Stay here, Daiki." I said softly. "I don't need the medication immediately."
"You sure?" He asked not sounding convinced. I nodded and he took my hand in his.
"Or do you just want to spent some alone time with me?" Aomine asked with a teasing grin on his lips.
I rolled my eyes at him in amusement, before I said.
"Both."
He laughed and I matched his grin.
Suddenly we heard urgent footsteps in the hallway and we both turned simultaneously to the doorway where I saw moments later my entire family entering.
"Emiyo." My mother exclaimed looking relieved I was sitting upright in bed.
She came running towards us and took my face in her hands examining all my extensive bruising.
I smiled softly at her and when she made sure I was alright, she hugged me tightly.
When she let me go, I turned to look at Aomine who had gotten up from his seat and was looking between myself and my family not really knowing what to do or how to act.
My brother didn't make his situation easier, because when he entered my room, he eyed him suspiciously.
My father was giving my brother an amused look before kissing my forehead and then turning to Aomine as well.
"Mum, dad." I said softly. "This is Daiki. My boyfriend."
Aomine turned his attention from my brother to my parents and he bowed.
"Pleasure to finally meet you." He said. "Even though I wished the circumstances were different."
My parents chuckled.
My mother walked on the other side of the bed and hugged Aomine, who looked taken aback.
"Thank you for looking after my daughter." She said.
Aomine nodded while he shook the hand of my father.
"Emiyo has told us so much about you." He said nicely.
"She has?" He asked raising an eyebrow at me in amusement.
I chuckled.
"Oh yes, she has." Tenjin finally spoke for the first time.
"Tenjin." I said in a tone that suggested he better behave himself.
He turned to look at me before he said
"Emiyo, you looked better."
I snorted.
"Tenjin you could be a bit nicer to your sister." My mother said reproachfully.
"Especially when you were in a right state when you heard what happened to her."
I laughed and Tenjin rolled his eyes at me.
"So." He said turning back to Aomine. "You are one of these basketball players she hangs out with."
"Hai." He said.
"I see." Tenjin said. "Well, do you know where I can find that guy who did this to her?"
Aomines face immediately darkened and I took his hand in mine in order to keep him calm.
"Tenjin what are you planning to do?" I asked looking at my brother, who was looking murderous.
"Give him a piece of my mind." He said while cracking his knuckles.
"I'm coming with you." Aomine said darkly. "I have some unfinished business with him as well."
My brother exchanged a look with Aomine before he nodded glumly.
"Oh guys." I said looking between my brother and my boyfriend. "No one is going to confront Hanamiya."
"Please." I added tiredly.
Aomine looked at me and when he saw the pleading look on my face, his features softened slightly.
"Alright." He said slowly and after further pleading looks on my part my brother eventually agreed.
"Thank you." I said relieved.
"Emiyo." My father said and I looked questioningly at him.
"How long do you need to stay here?"
And right on cue Midorimas father entered the room.
"Ah." He said spotting my visitors. "You must be Emiyos family."
He stretched out his hands and my mother and father shook it.
"Hai." My father said. "We are. And you must be Midorima-sensei. Satsuki has mentioned you on the phone. You're her doctor and also the father of one of her friends."
"Hai. I am Shintaros father." He said.
"Thank you for taking care of our daughter." My mother said bowing slightly and my father next to her nodded.
"We are relieved to know that Emiyo is not alone if something happens to her."
"It was the least I could do. You have raised a remarkable young lady and speaking of her support system, I am sure my son and his friends will be back soon."
My mother smiled, while looking at me proudly.
"Thank you, doctor." My father said. "How long will she need stay here?"
Midorimas father stepped closer to my bed and began his examinations.
Aomine and my brother were ordered out of the room and I hoped that they were going to get along.
Especially seeing as my brother was being unnecessarily stubborn in accepting my boyfriend.
But that didn't come to a surprise to me.
I was just curious to see how he would react upon meeting the rest of my group.
The examination ended and both Aomine and my brother walked back in. They seemed to have talked and my brother didn't look so suspicious of Aomine anymore. Which I took as a good sign.
"You are free to take her home today. But she will need to remain in bed for at least a week."
"A week?" I asked in utter disbelief.
Midorimas father nodded seriously.
"Two cracked rips and a concussion are not to be taken lightly. In order for it to heal properly you need to do as little physical activity as possible."
"But what about school? I can't miss all the assignments." I asked.
"Em, don't worry about school now. Focus on getting better." Aomine said.
"I'm sure Shintaro will bring you your homework." Midorimas father said.
Aomine looked horrified at the prospect of me still completing my homework while lying in bed. I rolled my eyes at him and our audience laughed.
"I will come by later again and help you get discharged. Are you in possession of a car?" Midorimas father asked.
My father nodded his head. "We rented one at the airport."
"Good." He said before nodding and leaving the room. For some unknown reason my brother looked amused.
"What's up with you?" I asked.
"You have to your homework while I can relax." He said pointing at me and then he began to laugh.
"Who says you are going to relax, young man?" My father said sternly. "You will be completing your homework alongside her."
"What?" My brother face dropped. I burst into laughter upon seeing the crestfallen look on his face. I immediately winced holding my rips and Aomine cast me a worried look.
"Here, let me help you." He said while slowly lifting me from bed and laying a pillow under the spot where it was hurting the most. I gave him a soft smile and my parents exchanged a look. They both wore the exact same smile, while my brother was eyeing Aomine like he was checking if he could be trusted.
Soon we heard an assembly of footsteps and Aomine and I exchanged a look. My friends were coming. Moments later they barged into my room talking loudly, but they all immediately stopped and stood frozen on the spot when they spotted my family.
"Is that you, Tenjin?" Momoi exclaimed loudly. When Tenjin nodded, she squealed and ran up to him. She hugged him tightly and my brother seemed totally overwhelmed.
"I can't believe how tall you are now!" She said looking at my brother, who was sharing the same eyes as me and the same hair colour.
"Well." He said gliding his hand through his hairs. "I can't let Emiyo be the taller sibling forever."
I chuckled. Momoi hugged my parents who were both beaming at her.
"Satsuki." My mother said. "It's so good to see you again. We almost couldn't believe it when Emiyo told us she has found you."
"I know, right?" She said beaming. "I'm so glad she's back. I couldn't handle those boys without her."
She pointed at said boys, who were still standing frozen in the doorway. Naturally it was Akashi who was the first to recover. He stepped into the room and immediately walked over to my parents.
"I'm Akashi Seijuro. Nice meeting you Masako-sama and Masako-sama." He said while bowing to both my parents and giving them his most charming smile.
"Oh no need to be so formal." My mother said and hugging him tightly. "You are all friends of Emiyos and we can't thank you enough for taking care of her."
Akashi seemed momentarily taken aback by the hug but soon enough he hugged her back.
"Well, that's what friends are for."
He winked at me and I gave him a small smile. Midorima was the next who shook the hands of my parents all while bowing politely.
"Midorima Shintaro." He said and my mother hugged him as well.
"We had the pleasure of meeting your father." My mother said. Midorima nodded not really knowing what to say. Then Murasakibara stepped in front of my parents and my mothers' eyes widened upon seeing how tall he was. He leaned down in order for her to better hug him and she began to laugh.
"You must be Atsushi." She said and he nodded.
"Murasakibara Atsushi." He said while bowing politely and shaking the hand of my father.
"It's so good seeing all of you here." My mother said excitedly. "Emiyo has amazing friends."
"Mum." I said sounding highly amused.
"Yes, dear?"
"In front of you."
"What?" My mother asked while turning her attention to her front, where suddenly someone was standing.
"Hello." Kuroko said blankly. "I'm Kuroko Tetsuya. Nice meeting you." He said while bowing politely.
My mother looked at the boy in front of her in utter disbelieve and even my father looked taken aback by the sudden appearance of another boy in the room.
"We didn't understand what Emiyo meant when she told us about you. But now after experiencing it first-hand we get it." My mother said smiling at the boy in front of her before giving him a hug as well.
I was beaming happily seeing all my friends gathered around my bed alongside my family. I searched for my brother who was speechlessly eyeing all the boys in my room. I nudged Aomines side and Aomines eyes followed my line of sight. He began to laugh and Tenjin immediately turned to face him, knowing exactly well that he has been the cause of this amusement.
"Oi." He said annoyed. "You stop laughing. I still haven't given you my blessing to date my sister."
"But Tenjin." Momoi said looking at him with her big bubble-gum pink eyes. "They are made for one another."
Tenjin snorted.
"I don't care. As long as he hasn't proven himself to me, I won't give them my blessing."
Aomine looked taken aback by my brothers' antics but I was not going to have any of it.
"And since when do I need your blessing?" I asked looking at him challengingly. My brother met my gaze full on but he remained silent, which was probably a wise choice on his part because I was getting ready to argue with him.
"Tenjin." My father said sternly. "Your sister needs rest and you're not helping if you argue with her."
"Mhm." Tenjin grunted and then continued to eye my friends with utter suspicion.
"Don't mind my brother." I said good naturally to my friends.
"He's only protecting you." Akashi said in a tone that suggested he understood he knew where my brother was coming from.
"And he doesn't know any of us." Midorima said looking smug someone else was not happy with my relationship. "It's natural he doesn't trust us."
Murasakibara was munching on his snacks while looking at my brother in interest.
"Does Ten-chin also bake as good as Emi-chin?" He asked in his usual tone.
I snorted and Tenjin looked taken aback by his question and by the name Murasakibara was calling him.
"Ten-chin?" He asked sounding like he wasn't sure he has heard him correctly. Murasakibara nodded while still looking and expecting an answer. My mother began to laugh.
"No Tenjin is not a good baker. Only Emiyo has inherited my baking skills. Did you like the baked goods she did for the Culture Festival?" She asked.
Murasakibaras eyes immediately lit up. He nodded his head enthusiastically and my mother began to chuckle even harder.
"Well then you're welcome to come by anytime you want. I can make you some more desserts I'm sure you haven't tried yet."
His eyes began to sparkle even more before he said enthusiastically
"Hai, oba-san."
I chuckled seeing the delight in Murasakibaras face.
"You know that means he will drop by every day?" Midorima asked slowly. My mother nodded.
"I thought so much." She said. "But I think I will see the lot of you anyway. So, I can treat you to some dessert while I'm here."
"I wouldn't deny this offer." My father said looking at my mother lovingly. "Her desserts are divine."
They all laughed while Akashi thanked them on behalf of the group for her kind invitation.
"Besides I think Emiyo will need some company during this week." She said smiling kindly at me and I nodded.
"It's going to be a long week."
"Do you have to stay home, Masako-san?" Kuroko asked and I nodded once again.
"Naturally." Midorima said sternly. "She needs rest in order for her injuries to heal properly."
I gave him an amused look and so was the rest of my family including Aomine.
"What?" He asked.
"Your father said the exact same thing." I said softly.
Midorima blushed slightly while looking a bit flustered.
"Well, it's true." He said defensively and I nodded.
"I know." I said. "It will be just boring without you guys."
"Oh, and I am not good enough company?" My brother immediately chipped in. I rolled my eyes at him but deciding not to comment.
"I will bring you your homework." Midorima said immediately and I squeezing his arm thankfully.
"I will come bake desserts for Emi-chin with oba-san." Murasakibara said still looking blissful.
"And we will drop by as well seeing as we have no practice until a new term begins." Akashi said.
"Yeey." Momoi said looking excited. "This means we can all learn for the end of year exams together."
Aomine looked like his worst nightmare just has come true.
"You can't be serious Satsuki." Aomine said looking pleadingly at her.
"That's a good idea." Kuroko said and Akashi nodded in agreement.
"Does that mean I have to study if I want to come visit Em?" Aomine asked slowly, whishing that wouldn't be the case.
"At least now we will get you to study." Akashi said addressing Aomine. I took his hand in mine but he still looked like he was punished for something. It was for his own good but there was no point in telling that to Aomine. He would never agree with anyone on that matter.
The week I spent at home went by faster than I had expected.
Mostly because I was constantly surrounded by people.
In the morning my family would keep me company and, in the afternoon, after school the others dropped by. Aomine then helped me making my way from my bed to the couch, while making sure I was perfectly comfortable.
The rest of them would gather around our small table in the living room and we would go over different subjects. I thoroughly enjoyed studying with everybody.
Especially since I found it highly amusing how much Aomine was suffering from being forced to sit still and learn the different subjects we were taught in school.
"How did you pass the entry exam for Teiko?" Midorima asked one afternoon after having had enough of Aomines loud complaints.
"Satsuki." He said immediately. "I read her notes."
I chuckled looking at Momoi who looked like she was remembering a particularly hard time in her life.
"You have no idea how much convincing it took me to bring him to even open a book."
I laughed and Aomine cast me an annoyed look, but he couldn't stay mad at me for long. During our study sessions we found out interesting things about one another. Aomine was really good at Japanese History, which took us all by surprise, expect Momoi.
"I have told you before that he is really good at it." She said addressing me and Midorima.
"Yeah." Midorima said. "I thought that was a joke."
We also found out that Murasakibara was an incredibly fast learner once he understood a certain topic and we were all taken aback when we saw his talent for physics.
He understood the most difficult exercises at once.
My talent lay in the field of chemistry whereas Midorimas was biology.
Momoi was teaching us about World History and Kuroko about Geography.
Akashi was simply good at everything. We all had something to contribute and it was great. My mother kept baking and bringing us sweets and more often than not after our study sessions Murasakibara could be found by her side eating more desserts and helping her bake her newest batch of cookies.
Soon the week passed and after a final examination from Midorimas father I was deemed fit enough to attend school again.
But I wasn't allowed to play basketball for the next couple of weeks, which did bother me a bit. I didn't like sitting on the bench, while the others were playing small matches between themselves, seeing as practice had not resumed yet.
The results of the end of year exams came and everybody passed, with Akashi being the highest-ranking student of the school of course.
I mean who else would it be?
My family had also gone back to France and I was once again living on my own. I couldn't believe that our first year had come to an end.
One year ago, I didn't know any of them. And now I could not imagine my life without them.
And here we were now.
All back together.
For our second year at Teiko.
One week of the new school year had already passed and we were found at our usual spot outside, under the trees.
I was sitting in between Aomine and Murasakibara when something caught our attention.
What looked like the entire female population had gathered in the backyard. They were all shrieking, giggling and waving what looked like pieces of papers.
I furrowed my brows in confusion and looked at my friends questioningly.
"Ah." Momoi said. "It's because of him." She said pointing at someone.
I turned my head back into the direction of the crowd of girls when I spotted him. He was tall and from what I could tell from a distance he was rather good looking.
He had yellowish blond medium long hair and if my eyes didn't betray me his eyes had a golden colour.
"Who is he?" I asked sounding interested.
"Kise Ryota." Momoi said immediately.
"And you know that how?" Aomine asked not sounding the least surprised his best friend knew this information.
"He is in my class." She said.
"Why is he attracting so much attention?" I asked still observing him.
"Because he is a famous model." Momoi said and at this all the boys snaped their head back to him once more.
"I can see why." I said shrugging my shoulder and then turning my attention back to my bento.
Suddenly I felt multiple pair of eyes on me.
"What?" I said when I looked up and saw that the entire group was watching me.
"You can see him as a model?" Aomine asked slowly.
I nodded.
"Well yes." I said not really understanding what the problem was. "I mean he is good looking. But I don't understand those girls who are flocking around him like he is a piece of meat."
"Good looking, huh?" Aomine asked and from the tone of his voice I could hear that he wasn't pleased.
I turned around to look at him and when I saw the expression on his face I smiled softly.
"He is good looking." I said again. "But so are you. In fact, so are all of you."
I could see some of them blush and I chuckled.
"You find us good looking?" Akashi asked who seemed the least bothered by my comment. In fact, he looked rather amused.
I nodded.
"Of course." I said convinced. "Have you all taken a good look at yourself? You are handsome."
Some of their blushes only deepened.
"Besides." I said turning to Aomine. "I can say when I find someone good looking. This doesn't have to mean anything."
Aomine raised an eyebrow at me and I leaned closer to him and whispered so only he could hear me.
"You're my boyfriend. I have only eyes for you."
I kissed his cheeks and he smiled smugly. He put his arm around my shoulder and I leaned into his touch.
"So, this guy." Midorima said looking thoughtful. "He is a model and in our year?"
Momoi nodded.
"He is one of the Zunon Boys and he only transferred this year to Teiko. I've heard he is really athletic."
"I have pity with him." I said. "He's new at Teiko and his first week is spent getting bombarded by girls. Not an easy start into the new school year if you ask me."
"Of course, you would be the one having pity with the model." Midorima said rolling his eyes at me.
"I'm certain he is used to it." Momoi pitched in.
"Yeah." I said. "But doesn't mean he must like it."
"Why do I have the impression you will be the one befriending him?" Akashi said amused.
"Because Masako-san is the type of person to befriend someone like him." Kuroko said.
"We will see." I said. "No one can know what will happen."
