Hello Everyone!

SO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT! Real life happened and got in the way of things, not to mention that my laptop had to be laid to rest! It become possessed and started to delete my files and cope/paste things. It had gotten out of control and needed to be stopped immediately! I lost the majority of my stories, but thank goodness I had saved everything to a flash-drive, which has been my saving grace through this whole ordeal! It was time for that old laptop to go. I Had to save up to buy a brand new one (that was what took the longest) which I finally got and I love it to pieces! I am still messing around with it to get the hang of it all, but I was able to move my stories over from the flash-drive (still going to save on it as well for back up) and began to write again. Be looking for more new chapters and new stories from me in the near future! I got a lot to catch up on and want to share with you lovely readers!

WARNING:This is a AvaxLuxu(Xigbar/Braig whichever you would prefer) pairing. There are so few stories about them (be of a romantic, platonic, or family setting) that I wanted to give it a shot. If this is not a pairing that you would like to read, there are many other wonderful stories out there that you can enjoy.

DISCLAIMER:I do not own the series Kingdom Hearts. If I did there would be more great games/movies/shows/books about it! And they would be happening in a timely fashion, not making us wait several years to find out what happens next!

Ava knew that this was foolish and really not so cliche. She could hear the elders that she knew very well over the years, scolding at her in her mind; how they were saying it was supposed to be the men who would give flowers to the girls, not the other way around. It was just not done! Not proper at all!

She loved to follow the rules, but Ava would argue sometimes it was best to follow your heart instead of your head.

Her hands were shaking as she held the bouquet that she herself had grown, clipped, and arranged herself to clear perfection. She wasn't Radiant Garden's number one florist in all the kingdom for nothing. Ava's plants were beautiful and well taken care of. It was that reason alone that the Royal family had hired her to be their caretaker for their lovely gardens.

Ava would come three times a week to look over the flowers and plants that grew in the Royal Gardens.

In her time there, she had befriended many of the Castle's staff. Master Ansem and his young apprentice Ienzo. They both had a terrible sweet tooth for Sea Salt ice cream and sadly got Ava addicted to it. Little sweet Kairi who she got to show off the flowers too and let her pick some for her grandmother and for her friends Sora and Riku. The young guitarist who drove everyone absolutely crazy, but could play such beautiful music. She had lost count of how many times he had been thrown out the castle gates while Isa would shake his head and Lea would be laughing himself silly to the ground.

She was on friendly terms with the Royal guards as well. Dilan and Aeleus were very silent and took their duty seriously, but all three could share insightful and deep meaningful conversations. Ava even got along with the one who was always playing cards all the time, or as the rest of the guards like to call him "The Gambler of Fate".

Then there was another Royal Guard that took Ava's breath away.

Luxu Braig (Sometimes known as Xigbar by the other guards, though she wasn't sure why. There was a story there.).

And the flowers were for him.

I can do this. I can do this. She kept repeating over and over again in her mind. Ava was being careful not to be seen by anyone, (or a certain person in particular) so they would not question her what she was up to. She didn't have a good excuse or explanation for her actions for being in this section of the castle, nor would she be able to justify it in any way, shape, or form.

Also it was none of their business per say.

Ava headed further down the corridor to the Guard's Quarters. She was almost there and she had no problems so far! She was hoping it would stay that way. She was getting closer now to her destination. A sigh of relief escaped her once she saw the door leading to the offices of the officers. She still did not know how Luxu became a high ranking soldier with all the stunts he pulled or his outlandish over the top antics (apparently it followed along with the story of how he was named Xigbar. Maybe someday she would find out the truth.).

She went over to the door, putting her free hand on the knob, and carefully turning it to the side. She slowly opened the door, the hinges slightly squeaking as she gently pushed far enough to peak her head into the room. Ava's gazed around inside and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw no one around. With more confidence she made her way in, closing the door right behind her.

All sorts of different paintings hung on the walls, varying from landscapes to previous soldiers of the Royal Guard from years before. The World's flag hung high and proud closest to the entry way. Bright red and yellow carpets were placed neatly on the stone floors, where Ava spotted bits of mud in the corners of them. The poor housekeepers must have a field day trying to keep these quarters clean! There were multiple desks placed in different parts of the rooms.

Now she was getting somewhere!

In the corner of one particular area, near the window she had found Luxu's desk. Ava was sure of it. The way the papers were scattered and stacked just like the objects that were strewn around, was definitely something that he would do. And the golden wooden plaque that had his name on it was also a big clue. The young florist looked out the window and realized the cocky guard had a perfect view of the majority of the gardens. The gardens that she worked in.

Goodness it was starting to feel a bit warm in here!

Ava looked at the man's desk, then back at the flowers wrapped in a lovely lace ribbon: clovers, daisies, gardenias, camellias, roses and dandelions all mixed together in perfect harmony. Attached with the ribbon was a card that she scrawled on with her lovely penmanship. A part of her wanted to flee and forget about the whole affair and matters of the heart so she would not have to feel rejection from Luxu. Yet her heart urged her to go on with it, as if saying:

You will never know unless you try.

She knew what she had to do.

And there was no turning back.

Ava gently placed the bouquet on the desk, gently touching the petals of the roses one last time; her heart beating loudly with each passing second that she stayed in that room and not being caught. With a sigh, she finally turned and headed back to the door. She opened carefully once more, looking from side to side. Once there was no one in the hallway, she made her escape.

She quickly walked away, heading towards the exit of the castle, and making her way back to the gardens to finish up some pruning of the hedges. She knew Ephemer would be done soon pulling weeds in the northern area and would be heading there to help her out. And she also knew the soldiers would be done with patrolling and the officers would be making their way back to their offices to write their daily reports for their Majesties. Ava had been able to pull everything off and no one had caught her in the act.

All she could do now was wait.

The bouquet was beautifully displayed on the desk for all to see with the card that read:

For thee I give hidden messages

From the deepest of thy heart

Pink Camellias for my longing for you

Red Camellias for you're the flame in my heart

White Clovers so you can may forever think of me

Daisies and Gardenias for hopes and secret loves

All the world's wishing flowers of

Dandelions for faithfulness and happiness

And Red Roses for all the "I love yous"

Would you ever love me too?

Ava did it! What is going to happen next now that she in her own way confessed to the man that she loves him? We are just going to have to find out in the upcoming chapters! XD
