Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter three of "Another Twist, Another Turn." This chapter leads into part two of "Green with Evil" and contains elements from it. Tommy's plan to murder Rita will occur in the next few chapters. After that, he will carry out his plan to kidnap Kim and seduce her. I cannot wait to do the first smutty scene involving this pairing in this fic. Stay tuned for chapter four.

Chapter 3: Small Victory

Clouds covered half the late afternoon sky above the desert. Strong wind blew sand all over the place. A roadrunner stood underneath a bush near the Command Center. The branches moved forward. One hit the roadrunner in the back. It squawked annoyingly and moved away from the bush. It sought refuge under a trio of rocks. The rocks were arranged with one on top of two standing upward.

Jason walked around the main room as he looked at the wrecked consoles. Zack and Kim were examining other parts of it. Billy was still working on Alpha's circuitry. He was using an anti-virus tool that had two diagonal ends sticking out of the top of it and emitted sparks. He focused his attention on the middle part of the robot's back while wearing safety goggles. Trini stood near him. She was ready to give him whatever he needed. Jason stopped near the Viewing Globe. He huffed angrily, his hands curling into fists.

"Shit," Jason whispered. He gritted his teeth rather tightly before flaring his nostrils. "I wish I could get my hands on that Green Ranger dude."

Zack and Kim came on either side of the Red Ranger. They had very grim expressions on their faces.

"We can't get a fix on Zordon," Kim said in much seriousness.

"Without Zordon, there is no clue on the identity of the green guy who attacked us," Zack added and threw his hands upward. "I can't believe this happened. You'd think no one would be able to break in here."

"I know," Jason agreed. "I wish it was a nightmare and that we are about to wake up any second."

"Unfortunately, it is not a nightmare. Everything is very real. I have a feeling it will get worse," Kim murmured while laying her hands on the console.

"I don't want to think about that right now," Zack commented with a soft snort.

"None of us do, Zack," Jason commented and cleared his throat. He rubbed the back of his neck with both hands. "Who knows how long it will take for us to get answers?"

"Let's pray it won't be long," Zack whispered in uncertainty.

The trio looked around the room as they clicked their tongues. They returned their attention to Billy, Trini, and Alpha. Kim sighed heavily before shaking her head in disbelief. Zack placed his hands on his sides. He swallowed hard and bit his lip.

"Look at this place. The person who invaded it knew exactly what to do," Kim muttered with much tenseness. She eyed Jason, who picked up a wire and hit it against his hand. "They totally trashed it."

"I can't argue with that," Zack admitted.

"It is as if a tornado went through this place," Jason commented with an irritated scoff. "California isn't known for getting many tornadoes."

"Thank God," Zack whispered in relief.

"Unfortunately, earthquakes are the real threat here. Rita causes them when she attacks occasionally," Jason said matter-of-factly.

"Fracking can cause earthquakes too," Zack added and crossed his arms. "At least most can't be felt."

"The intruder also gave Alpha a virus," Kim added as she motioned toward Alpha.

Billy moved the tool to the robot's upper back. He looked around the latter along with Trini. He narrowed his eyes at the circuits. He moved the tool away. She looked quite worried, as did the others.

"Oh, poor Alpha," Trini muttered in much sadness.

"Are you making any progress, Billy?" Jason wondered while moving his hand over the wire.

Billy took off his goggles. He looked at his leader with uncertainty. "I am doing the best I can. Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with this circuitry. It looks really complicated."

Billy moved the tool back toward Alpha and gazed at Trini. She felt her body shake quite a bit. She clasped her hands together while running her tongue all over the inside of her mouth.

"Try the subatomic manipulator," Billy said and put his goggles back on. He shifted his attention to the robot and focused on the middle of his back again.

"We need to be careful not to hurt him, Billy," Trini replied and did what he told her.

"Just trust me, Trini. He can't feel a thing," Billy assured while moving the tool to Alpha's lower back.

"I just want him to be okay," Trini commented.

"All of us do. I have to say I never thought I would repair a robot. My toughest project was putting my mother's vacuum back together after I accidentally broke it. It took me four hours to do that," Billy pointed out and emitted a soft groan.

Trini exhaled sharply. "At least she forgave you for breaking it and congratulating you for fixing it."

"Yes, but she grounded me for a day for messing around with it," Billy mumbled disappointingly. "It didn't bother me. I was willing to serve my punishment."

"Many people aren't," Trini said with a shake of her head. "Bulk and Skull come to mind."

"No kidding. Those two always complain about getting detention," Billy said, rolling his eyes. "We always tell them to not do the crime if they can't do the time."

Trini scoffed irritatingly. "Of course, they never listen. I do not think they ever will."

Billy nodded in agreement. He was glad Bulk and Skull did not know he and his friends were Power Rangers. He knew they would tell everyone they knew, especially Mr. Kaplan in which they would think it would get them in trouble. However, he believed the principal wouldn't do that as he was aware of how great students they were and would excuse them whenever they needed to take off to fight monsters.

"Damn it. This is hard work," Billy grumbled in much annoyance. "Even if we get Alpha working again, we have no idea what shape his memory will be in."

"I hope it isn't bad," Trini commented.

Billy snorted. "Who does?"

Suddenly, Alpha jerked his head upward and started to move somewhat. Billy took off his goggles, an excited smile forming on his face. Trini furrowed her brow, her breathing growing louder.

"Hey, he's starting up!" Billy yelled in much joy.

"Come on, Alpha," Trini whispered in a hopeful voice. She clasped her hands together. "Come on."

Alpha turned in a half-circle as he gibbered quietly. He moved his body and arms from side to side. The Rangers waited anxiously for any words to come from him. Their hearts beat so fast that it seemed they would leap out and land on the floor any second.

"Circuitry is now operational, operational!" Alpha said and looked at Billy. "Dude." He shifted his attention to Trini. "Dudette."

Trini laughed in delight and gave him a big hug. "Alpha, you're back!"

"Yes, I am! Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi!" Alpha yelled in much happiness and hugged his friend more tightly.

"Good job, Billy," Kim said.

"All right, Alpha," Zack added while pumping a fist.

Jason formed a frown on his face. "Alpha will be okay. At the same time, we have to find a way to get Zordon back and figure out the mystery of the Green Ranger."

Jason put the wire down before walking away. He mumbled inaudible words. Zack went to Kim's side and hugged her. They pressed their lips together before running their tongues all over the inside of their mouths. Zack let out a soft sigh.

"It's nice to have a victory after suffering a huge defeat at the hands of the Green Ranger," Kim whispered gently.

"It's small, but I don't care," Zack responded in much determination. "At the same time, I would not be surprised if Rita is gloating over her new warrior defeating us."

"It's the first victory she has had since she escaped her dumpster," Kim said, shaking her head in disbelief. Her breathing turned into shudders. "I do not think she will get overconfident just yet."

"Once she does, we will be able to take her down like we always do," Zack said with a fierce growl. "Of course, we should not get overconfident ourselves. She could easily take advantage of it."

Kim nodded in agreement. The entire team hoped the Command Center could quickly be repaired, so they could begin locating Zordon and find out what he knew about the Green Ranger.
