Well, this was going to suck! She thought about it. She really did! It was an extremely difficult decision, and, according to her Dad, Uncle, and Yang, sometimes, the decisions you don't like are the ones you need to do. As a little kid, she always hated that phrase since it didn't mesh well with her romantic view of the world, but now she realized how right they were. Ok, sure, this wasn't a decision that would have a serious negative outcome, but seriously, it hurt her to do this so much! Surely it would make her a bad friend! No matter how she looked at it, there was no doubt in mind that she would be hurting Blake. How? By convincing Yang to not give Blake her famous pep talk that convinced her to open up a bit and come to the dance! She would have loved to just have defeated Torchwick and get Blake to relax, but, as expected, just like her fight with Tyrian, it wasn't easy. Besides, Chromos HAD told her to avoid conflict! So now, here she was, trying to convince Yang to not be a good friend and leave Blake alone.

"I just think she needs time to herself!" Ruby said.

"Ruby, I get why you think that, but come on! She is destroying herself!" was Yang's response.

"Um, Weiss help me out please!" Ruby said rather sheepishly.

"Oh, NOW you want my help, even though you have been skipping classes and ignoring your homework despite the fact that I had offered my assistance several times!" Weiss snapped back angrily while working on decorating the room where the dance would be held. She was right, though. In an attempt to change the timeline, Ruby had been skipping classes, ignoring her responsibilities, and purposefully getting the answers wrong on her assignments. It had been the best she could have thought of in order change how events played out. In retrospect though, it was really, really dumb!

"But, yes Ruby, I suppose you are right. I do think it would be best if we leave Blake alone. You can't just force stuff like this onto someone! She is dealing is with a lot right now, and it should be up to her if she wished to participate in something that she views as unnecessary!" Weiss added, clearly worried about her teammates', no, her friends' well being.

"Oh come on Weiss, you can't be serious! She needs our help!" Yang pleaded!

"I second that!" said Sun, who, along with his partner, had just walked into the room. "You too, right Neptune?"

"Umm, yeah, totally." Was Neptune's response. He was too busy checking Weiss out.

"Actually, never mind! Go help her out Yang!" Weiss said, quickly changing her mind so that it matched the opinion of her crush.

"Alright! Consider it done!" Yang said eagerly before beginning to walk out of the room before accidently bumping into the incoming Jaune.

"Sorry!" They both said.

"Hey um, Ruby, could you could you come out to the hallway for a second? I have something I want to propose." Jaune said.

"Oh my, Jaune! I know you have my blessing, but come on, at least take her out to dinner first!" Yang said before leaving the room. The two leaders blushed as Sun, Neptune, and even Weiss laughed.

Ruby had bigger problem than romance, though. As she followed Jaune to the hallway, all could she could think was: "great! Now how am I going to change the timeline?" Unfortunately for her, Jaune was about to give her an answer.

"So, umm, what's your proposition?" Ruby asked.

"Ok umm, hear me out! I uh, well, I want to walk into Cinder's dorm room and kill her and her allies!"

This was going to be a long night…
