The Day before the Assault, in route to Tokyo, Japan…
After a brief period of reflection and relaxation, it was now time to leave the Camp Engano Resort in the Philippines. Julia Chang's group was on their way to meet with Lars Alexandersson and the rest of the Rebels who were stationed at Tokyo Harbor. During the plane ride, Julia rode on the passenger back seat of Condor's hovercraft. She wanted to be calm, but there was a hint of doubt still lingering in her heart. Condor could sense this from Julia and decided to talk to her.
Condor: "Something troubling you?"
Julia: "Huh?"
Condor: "You looked troubled. What is on your mind?"
Julia: "After doing all of this traveling around the world, destroying machines, and risking our lives while doing it. I just hope it can all end by Friday."
Condor: "Having doubts is normal, but do not let them cloud your judgement. Any rash decision you make in battle will cause serious problems not just for you and your friends, but for the rest of your allies as well."
Julia: "Well that's one way to look at this battle. But no one should have to die."
Condor: "And yet those in power still want to have their way of overseeing the world. Even if means eradicating all lifeforms."
Julia: "Yes. I have to agree with that."
Condor: "I believe we can succeed in stopping Kazumi's plan. It's simply a matter of remaining discipline while fighting against such a dangerous foe."
Julia: "Right."
Tokyo Harbor, Lars Alexandersson's Rebel Force Camp, Tokyo, Japan…
Around the afternoon hours, Julia Chang's group made it to the harbor where Lars's Rebel Forces were preparing for the assault. Lars greeted the team with open arms. Rodeo Montana, with reinforcement troops from the US Navy, arrived sometime later. Together they all had dinner and later toured the temporary facility before turning in for that night. Julia called her mother one last time before sleeping. She and Michelle both prayed to the spirts for the success of tomorrow's mission.
The day of the assault…
Julia woke up from her slumber right on schedule. She changed into her hiking wardrobe while carrying a gun holster over her shoulder. Julia left the tent and headed for the mess hall to use the restroom and get some refreshments. Then she regrouped with her team as they all gathered outside near the docks to hear Lars give his pep talk to the troops. The troops were ready and willing to make a difference as Lars spoke to them with much confidence. After the inspiring speech, Julia went over to Lars after he spoke with Hwoarang in private.
Julia: "Commander Lars?"
Lars: "Oh there you are Julia. Are your guys ready?"
Julia: "As we will ever be sir."
Lars: "I will have your team help us fend of G Corporation's JACK units. You guys are going to pincer attack them once they start trapping our frontline men. This will happen at this intersection about a third of a kilometer near the Central Zaibatsu tower. Think you guys can do it?"
Julia: "Yes. With your permission I would like to request acquiring some RPGs and hand toss explosives that we can use to gain the upper hand."
Lars: "Of course. Just head over to the depot tent around the mess hall and there will some explosive devices that your team can utilize. When you guys are ready to leave, notify me and I will contact one of our captains to let them know that you guys are coming as reinforcements."
Julia: "Yes, I understand."
Lars: "We're counting on your success. Good luck."
Julia: "Much appreciated Lars."
Sometime later…
Lars prepared 2 armored trucks for Julia and her team to use after they gathered any extra ammunition that they needed to prepare for battle. Rodeo Montana would support the US Navy reinforcements by flying as a fighter pilot to aid in the air assault against the Zaibatsu. So, he did not partake in the ground assault with Julia. Forest Law and Tiger Jackson were together in one truck, while Julia and the Condor were riding the other truck.
The fighting between the Zaibatsu, Rebels, and G Corp started to intensify. The Rebels were more concerned with G Corp interfering with their advancements toward the Zaibatsu's HQ. Most of the Zaibatsu's forces retreated out of the HQ premises as requested by their new leader, Kazumi. However, they quickly found themselves caught up in various guerrilla skirmishes set up by both G Corp and the Rebels. Lars and his generals tactfully anticipated this which is why they dealt with the G Corp forces more closely since their numbers were greater than the Zaibatsu. Julia's team carefully parked their trucks around the corner of the battle zone just ahead of the Central Tower's front view. It was now or never.
Condor: "Should I go out first and assess the situation?"
Julia: "Uhh…yeah! I just know the gunfire so loud!"
Condor: "This is it Julia! The moment to make a difference has arrived! Stay calm! I'll be right back!" (Gets out of the driver's seat.) "Shhhhaaaa!"
Condor used his inner ki to leap several feet in the air and started running up the highrise building sideways as me made it on top of the roof. From there, Condor could view the gunfire between G Corporation and the Rebel Forces. From G Corporation's position, they had their back completely turned from his point of view, but a series of JACKs were coming from down the street after being air dropped by G Corp aircraft carriers. They were a large group. Maybe 15 to 20 units making their way over as backup. Condor jumped down from the building and landed safely back on the street level to speak with Julia's group.
Condor: "G Corp is in the position we need for the pincer attack, but there are several JACK units coming from the next street parallel to this one. If we are to make this work. We need to help the Rebels right now."
Julia (Gulps): "Alright! Guys are you ready?"
Forest (Showing his hand bombs while looking like Ryu with a red sash over his head.) "I'm all ready!"
Tiger (In a combat suit, but in his dance slippers for foot comfort. Holding an RPG over his shoulder.) "Yea, let's get it!"
Julia (Holding her grenades.): "Okay! Here we go!"
Condor (Igniting his kunais with Dynamite.): "I'll lead the charge!"
With swift haste, Condor ran ahead of Julia's group and threw his kunais over the three tanks of G Corp's 11th Division squad. As soon as they made contact on the metal, the kunais exploded from the dynamite. This attack completely rattled the G Corp soldiers underneath. Julia Chang then threw her grenades to destroy whatever was left of the tanks, while Forest and Tiger blasted the opposing soldiers with the RPG and powder bombs they had to keep them from shooting back. The entire zone of the G Corp's division was covered in fire and debris. None of them were going to make it out. Julia then got confirmation from the captain of the 5th division of the Tekken Rebel Force, Misawa Horio.
Captain Misawa: "This is Captain Misawa from the Rebel Forces. Are you the reinforcements Lars told us about?"
Julia (Mic'ed on.) "Yes this is Julia Chang. I work for Violet Systems. We came here as requested by Lars to try and get inside the Central Tower."
Captain Misawa: "How many people do you have? My scout says there are JACKs coming from up the street on our right side."
Julia: "It's only 4 of us."
Captain Misawa: "What?! Only 4!? And you managed to trap the 11th division of G Corp?!"
Julia: "Somehow we did with our explosives."
Captain Misawa: "Well keep them ready because the JACKs are getting closer so hurry up!"
Julia: "On our way!"
Julia and her team ran across the sidewalk to avoid the damage they caused against the G Corp division. The screams of the soldiers burning to their deaths really disturbed Julia to the core. She dared not to look over to her left and view the dreadful scene. When they made it to the next intersection, they could see the 20 pair of JACK units marching towards the Rebels who were in position along the west side of the intersection. Oddly, enough none of the JACKs tried to fire at the Rebels.
Condor: "I don't like this. They aren't using their ammunition!"
Tiger: "Let's blast them sky high!" (Fires another RPG shot at the first JACK upfront.)
Condor: "Wait a minute!"
Boom…
Tiger Jackson eagerly shot another RPG projectile at the JACK walking closest to the group as the JACK immediately exploded right in front of them! The impact destroyed the first line of JACKs, but the force pushed back Julia's team several feet into the walls of the Rebel Force's defense. Once the smoke cleared, the remaining 16 JACKs were still marching forward.
Julia: "Everybody alright?!" (Coughs.)
Forest: "I'm ok!" (Coughs.)
Condor: "Dammit man! Don't destroy those things with the RPG so close!"
Tiger: "Aight man! Like how was I gonna know that?!"
Condor: "We need to keep distance away from them so that we won't get caught in the explosions again!"
Captain Misawa (Heard Condor's plea.) "Fall back everybody! Fall back!"
The 60 or so Rebel troops of the 5th Division did what their captain said and started retreating backwards from their wall of defense. Julia and the others followed to. The JACKs were designed to self-detonate either through destruction of its interior parts or by forced detonation if overwhelmed by the enemy. Condor could deduce that much. He did not have enough kunais to destroy them, so he asked Tiger to give him the RPG once there was enough distance to fire the weapon again.
Condor: "Give it to me!"
Tiger: "Huh?"
Condor: "The RPG! Hand it over!"
Julia: "What are you doing?"
Condor: "I'm going to destroy them and get out of the way!"
Tiger: "Aight man, just be easy!"
Condor: "I'll be easy once these things are out of our way!"
So with the RPG in hand, Condor ran and jumped high in the air to fire the RPG at the remaining JACKs. The projectile grenade was launched in the middle of the JACK group as it exploded once it touched the asphalt. An even bigger explosion occurred, as many JACKs have been obliterated as a result. Condor landed back on the street while the dust was clearing up from the carnage that occurred from the blast. Most of the JACK androids were destroyed except for one, A Prototype Mecha JACK 7. This JACK had mecha armor along the chest which was partially damaged but still intact. With its mouth it fired a laser directly at Condor. Condor ducked the blast, but he was not quick enough.
Condor: Aaggggghhhh!"
The laser's plasma burned through the left shoulder of Condor as it blasted through the one of the tanks owned by the Rebel forces of the 5th division. Some people where hit in that crossfire as well. Julia ran to aid Condor who fell down in obvious pain.
Julia: "Condor! Are you okay?"
Condor: "Damn! My shoulder!"
Julia: "What is that thing?"
Captain Misawa: "Men! Get ready to aim and fire!"
Julia wisely carried Condor away from the line of fire that the 5th division was about to perform. There was a small medic unit that had a spare armored truck. Julia took Condor to the back of the armored truck away from the shooting. Forest and Tiger also got out of the firing range.
The Mecha JACK 7 continued to advance despite getting hammered by thousands of bullets. Was this thing going to be stopped? Misawa had no choice but make his men stop shooting before they would run out of ammunition.
Misawa: "Stop firing! That thing is trying to explode of us! Fall back!"
Julia overheard the order that Misawa gave. She had an idea to use the remainder of her grenades to at least slow down that Mecha JACK 7 from advancing. So Julia asked the medic to look after Condor. Forest tried to Julia back.
Forest: "Wait! Julia! What are you doing?"
Julia (Pulls two grenades.): "I'm slowing that thing down! Haaaahhhh!"
Julia tossed two grenades at the bottom of the street. They exploded underneath the feet of the Mecha Jack 7. The Mecha almost reached the very defenses of the Rebels before it found itself trapped due to the explosion. The results surprised not only the Rebels, but Julia Chang herself.
Julia: I…I…did it!"
Captain Misawa and the Rebels stopped their movement and noticed that the explosion they heard was caused by Julia's grenades. After viewing the outcome of the grenade blast, the tropps all cheered!
Forest: "I don't believe it!"
Tiger: "That thing didn't blow up?"
Forest: "No! It's trapped from the waist up! It's stuck on the street!" (Laughing.)
Captain Misawa: "Lady, that was a gusty move you pulled. Somehow you saved us."
Julia: "Well…I guess my last minute action worked to perfection."
Captain Misawa: "I'll say. Now we can advance on towards the Central Tower entrance."
Julia: "Before that. Can you have Condor treated back at the harbor. His shoulder looks really bad!"
Captain Misawa: "I will."
Near the Zaibatsu HQ Central Tower's Gated Entrance…
While Condor was taken back to the Rebel Group's Main Camp. Julia's team and the Rebels were caught in another skirmish with G Corp's troops, but they managed to force that squadron to retreat. They finally made inside the courtyard of the Central Tower because the front gate was already destroyed by someone else. Even the front doors of the building were shattered and broken down. Everyone needed to be careful here, since there were likely more enemies inside the premises.
