Welcome back dudes, dudettes and all those in between. As some writers may know, inspiration comes and goes, but life, life goes on. As it does I too have continued writing, or what passes for it anyway. Whether you like it or not, we are going to continue where we left off. I am trying to keep a decent pace going, but as stated before it is my first story and so inconsistencies might happen. Now without further ado, here we dive in again…

Izuku and his mom had spend the rest of the day in the hospital, not because he was still feeling like hell froze over and Izuku was the sole inhabitant. Rather it was because it was a way of quirk development not seen in humans yet. Of course there had been quirk awakenings over the years, but usually they were due to great stress or an absolute need from the body. The way that Izuku had unlocked, gained, or acquired his new element was so far unknown to them. In the past there had been cases of quirk that absorbed elements and could send them back out again, but absorbing and after that generating them was new.

After running more tests than Izuku and Inko had expected, from the physical ones, to mental ones and even some that combined both they were in the car on their way home. Neither of the two spoke much as their thoughts were occupied by what had been tested that day. Izuku could produce fire from just about any body part, all looking the same, but some seemed more intense. Or at least at that moment. His body temperature had gone up and he seemed to have a bit of a temper on him, where he first had been rather meek. It seemed that his body stored some of the flames that he wasn't using in one of the outlines in his body. The doctor had said that even more lines had solidified, but they were still unable to say what kind they were. Whether it was bone or muscle, whether it was cartilage or some foreign material. All they could tell was that Izuku's quirk was unique, in the way it showed itself and could be seen.

When they finally arrived back home it had been pretty much the entire day, with Natsu haven given up on waiting for them to provide pen and paper. He had been digging through the house himself. Which of course meant a lot of things had been moved from their original spots and that there was paper all over the table. Some crumpled into a ball, some half burned and some only half finished. The one thing that stood out was that Natsu had fallen asleep with his cheek resting on what must have been the latest draft. A draft of what the two Midoriya's had no idea. Inko felt guilty having rushed off with Izuku to the hospital, Izuku still had no idea what had happened from the moment he had gone to bed up to the point where he woke up in the scanning room.

With Izuku gently shaking Natsu awake Inko was laying out the takeout food they had picked up on their way home. The scents coming from the food waking up Natsu far easier than Izuku's incessant shaking. ''GAAAH Where have you been all day?!'' Not even a good morning, good afternoon, or whatever time it was, just the where have you been. Not an 'is Izuku okay?' It may have been common for people to be this out of it where Natsu came from, but it wasn't that way in Japan. Inko pulled Natsu up to sit correctly by the ear and at the same time gave him an earful. ''We've been in the hospital Natsu, Izuku was very sick and apparently can use fire now like he was born with it flowing through his veins instead of blood. I was worried about himand about you, the moment I realized I left you here alone I felt ashamed. What I did not expect was to come back to a almost rearranged house.'' Which was of course the truth, she had been worried, but she had hoped that he had spend the entire day watching TV or surfing the internet. Instead he seemed to have been looking for something. She judged from the half written letters and crumpled paper it was a letter, or a way for him to remember things about himself.

''I knew he would be fine…. eventually, I honestly did not expect him to feel this good yet, although I could have been more careful with my words last night….'' Which earned him a twist to the ear that Inko was still holding, basically demanding answers after dinner, but for now they'd need to eat. The meal was consumed still mostly in silence, except for the questions for passing food here and there. When they had finished Inko sat Natsu down and told him to explain himself a bit more, or rather all he knew. This could only end one way, which was that Natsu explained all he knew about himself, his magic and Izuku's quirk, which was rather like his magic. The things that weren't like his magic were Izuku's recovery time from getting a new element, the lack of magic circles and the likely event of getting more than one, maybe two elements. With Inko settling down and Izuku still reeling from all the information that had been dumped on him. That was before Natsu pulled out the letter that had been send to him while they were in the hospital, boy were they surprised by that. After reading of the letter that Natsu had received that day they two Midoriya's excused themselves and fainted in their respective rooms.

Night passed and Natsu had been unable to sleep at the same two the two green haired people had gone to bed and continued to write his own letter to the afterlife, it wasn't all that long. It basically told them that he misses them and that he would do his best to live a good life. Followed by asking them for tips and hints, which he assumed were unlikely to come. At the very least unlikely to come at that time. When the pink haired boy had finished his letter it disappeared from his grasp, without needing an envelope or anything like that. It wasn't even midnight yet and Natsu wanted that fight with Izuku as quickly as he could, meaning training. Training for him and for Izuku. The following day would be a Friday and Izuku was still called in sick at least till Monday. Which suited Natsu quite well if he was being honest with himself. As such he started to make a training schedule for Izuku and himself. He had kept his powers, but he had gotten a body that was similar to how he had been at fourteen something year old. As such the training that they could do was a lot more than if he would have been send back beyond the age he was now.

To Natsu this seemed like a good plan, to everyone not solely focused on exercise this seemed excessive and dumb. The dumb part because it ignored basic human needs like food and sleep. As he wrote this down he dropped down onto the couch and fell asleep once more for that day. Who had known being chewed out and coming to a new world would be that exhausting for the pink haired dragon slayer.

The following morning Inko had found the schedule laying on the table and shook her head as she saw this written on the paper. Only for her to actually look up an actual work out schedule on her phone and write the needed components on the sheet in addition. One might think that this is odd, but this being the woman who would do anything for her son as long as he was well cared for took this very seriously. The mother knew she would never be able to stop Izuku and she didn't exactly have the authority over Natsu to tell him no, so she would do what she could. Until she could truly wrap her head around the fact that the pink haired boy had literally come from the dead to help her son with his quirk she'd try to keep being as normal as possible. Even if that meant that she would have two boys going for school and work outs every single day of the week, except for the weekends. The Saturday she was willing to let slide and give them the wok out time, but the Sunday was meant as a rest day. She would not take no for an answer.

Getting breakfast started she could hear the two boys stirring from their respective resting places, Izuku from his All Might themed room and Natsu from the living room couch. As she was cooking Inko thought back to a letter she had received a few days prior. Once again it was from the family of her husband, or should she say late husband. The late husband in question had in fact died, due to an accident at work. The accident causing her to receive a rather large sum of money as reparations for losing her husband, even though she had not seen him in years. That and his life insurance was also a thing that would come in, in the following days. All this information had been given to her by her late husband's family.

That was of course the condition she had put before them, never to contact her, unless it was to inform her of her husband's demise. They had followed that instruction to the letter, but they once again asked if they could see Izuku. The reason was still because of his quirk, however this time they told her that there was at least another dragon quirk in the family. Which had been news to her, news that made her think that Hisashi hadn't been entirely forthcoming about his family, or himself. The man had said that he had fire breath as a quirk, the odds that it had been dragon fire were now significantly higher than they were before. She hadn't told Izuku yet about the careful contact she had started to build with his late father's family, nor had she told him his father was actually dead and not just dead to her. Inko had no idea how she was going to tell him, even though she knew she should. The family had hinted that the contact could be beneficial for the future, which she doubted. They also hinted that the person with the dragon quirk might be doing hero work. If Inko remembered what Izuku, her own personal hero fanatic told her that weren't a whole lot of heroes. In fact she knew only of one dragon themed hero, which was Ryukyu, who happened to be ranked the nr 9 at that moment.

All while Inko had been mulling that over and preparing breakfast at the same time Natsu had found the updated workout schedule and wondered who had been writing on his perfectly good schedule. ''Izuku did you write this? Who needs sleep, or food that isn't char grilled meat?'' As to which the swift responses came from Izuku ''N-no I did nothing of the sort.'' Followed by Inko ''That would have been me Natsu, about who needs sleep and vegetables, essentially everyone, even you. Neither of you is going to spar till you drop. I am not a healer in any way, shape or form. '' She would try to stamp out that kind of behavior now that she knew what her son might be getting into. She wasn't happy that he wanted to be a hero more than anything. She wanted to keep her son as far away from harm as humanly possible, but she also wanted him to be happy with what he had chosen to do. To which Izuku got even more wide eyed, his mom approving something like the schedule he saw before him was news, big news. ''Mom, since when are you okay with this?'' Hearing the somewhat accusing tone in her son's voice Inko couldn't help but cry.

She hadn't been supportive of her son's dream of becoming a hero, she had tried to get him to do a lot of different things. She knew that she hadn't been a great mom in that regard. Tears silently creating a river as she put the food on the table, making sure that nothing got in the food. ''It's not that I can stop you anymore from being a hero, I knew I couldn't from the moment I heard about the sludge villain, all I can do is try to help that you come back to me healthy and happy.'' Izuku seeing the tears that were coming from his mom went over to give her a hug. He hadn't wanted to hurt her and the fire now flowing through his body had given him that little push to speak his mind. Which wasn't a bad thing, it was to him at that moment as he had hurt his mom. ''Now quick, before it gets cold and after your morning workout we need to talk Izuku…. It's about your dad and his family.''

The green haired boy was curious what she wanted to talk about as all she had ever said that the man was far away and dead to her, in more ways than one. His mom had never told him about his dad's side of the family before though, which was what had him even more curious than his actual dad. Which was likely due to the fact that he could only barely recall his dad's face, but didn't even have a memory of his dad's voice. Natsu had seen the look Inko had given Izuku and had drawn his own conclusions from that. Not that they were pleasant, nor did he know if he was correct or not. Tearing into the breakfast feast that had been laid out before the two boys they ate in a hurry and went outside. Izuku wondering if Natsu had any workout clothes, or if he didn't need them? The answer became apparent as they ran toward the beach. Natsu being perfectly fine as they arrived at Dagobah beach. With him being used to running and Izuku looking more of a puddle than a teenager at that moment in time.

That was when Natsu threw off the vest he had been wearing, standing there in sandals and his shorts, breathing in the fresh sea air he looked at what was left of Izuku. ''We have a looooong way to go.'' The pink haired dragon slaying demon couldn't help but grin most viciously as he beheld his out of shape prey. Okay maybe that was an exaggeration from Izuku's side to think that way, but nonetheless he had to admit that he was out of shape. About as out of shape as a puddle of paint that was dumped straight from the can. ''Come on lady, I have better runs in my shorts.'' Was the comment from Natsu, which sounded like a reference of something to Izuku, even if his oxygen deprived brain couldn't think of it. Apparently Natsu was not done with throwing in references, not by a long shot. His day bored at the Midoriya's while they were at the hospital had been well spend, or so he would say. "Let's get down to business to get in UAA. Did they send me a nerd, while I asked for braaawns? You're the saddest runt I've even met, but you can bet before we're though. Izuku I'll make a man out of youuuu.''

So as the days went by, so did the training montage. The beach got cleaner and Izuku got stronger, significantly stronger. One day as they were sparring, using the flames they both had control over Natsu got a bit fed up. He wanted the fight that had been promised to him by the representative, even though he knew Izuku wasn't ready yet. ''Come on, stop trying to hit me and hit me!'' So Natsu might have discovered the internet and as anyone knows, once it's on the internet, it's there forever. So the pink haired dragon slayer had gone on a meme and old movie binge. The Matrix, which had been considered sci-fi, or future at that point had been one of his favourites. Even though the effects were behind the time for them, the effects were top of the line for movies of the same age.

In the meantime Natsu had joined Izuku at school and of course had met the infamous Kacchan, or as Natsu addressed him after the first time Bakugo had tried to explode his face… Midday snack. This happened as Natsu had eaten the flames that had sprung into existence with the explosion. Of course there was still the shockwave that was created at the same time, but that was hardly anything for the pink haired boy by then. Which is where the other part of explosions comes in, there were two sort of explosions, lots of fire and not that much force and the lots of force, not so much fire. As they say the flashier the quirk the better, Katsuki had more often than not adopted the first option and so far hadn't figured out the second. Which happened to get Katsuki's underwear in a pretzel and be even more highly combustible.

In the meantime Natsu took every chance to poke fun at Katsuki, which of course included the sludge villain incident. The pink haired boy hadn't forgiven the explosive asshat for telling Izuku to take a swan dive off of a roof. Not that he would forgive him for that, not for a long time. Speaking of Izuku he had gotten curious in his training time if he would be able to unlock more elements like he had done with his fire. The thing that held him back from trying to absorb more at the moment was that he hadn't exactly had the most counseling for his quirk. Useful counseling that was. That and he had promised his mom that he would get a hang of his fire first. That day was rapidly approaching, along with the day of a clean beach. True there might be a bit less beach then there used to be as they had reduced some of the sand to glass as they had tried to melt some of the appliances rather than haul them away. Which had been rather hard to explain to his mom after he had gotten home running like the cops were on their heels.

Speaking of Inko, she had been joining the boys in their workout schedule for about half of what they did, if only to get a bit more in a shape that wasn't round. She still worried after Izuku and Natsu she wasn't nearly as worried as when they had started months back. Finally having accepted that Natsu was indeed send from the beyond, having read some more mail correspondence. She was thinking that Izuku was shaping up nicely now that he actually had a decent trainer, even if he seemed a bit young. Only for her run to be interrupted by 2 voices yelling at the top of their lungs ''ROAR OF THE FIRE DRAGON,EMERALD TORRENT!'' Inko veering onto the beach straight to the two quirk abusing boys, who seemed to be intent on roasting each other, or evaporating the ocean at the same time. The mother stopped at the two boys, sweating profusely because of the heat, grabbing their ears and twisted. ''What's the big idea you, you you… Let's get out of here before cops show up.'' Dragging them home she knew she should do something about them, but she loved them and knew they needed to train, if only to get into UA, for which the exam was drawing close.

That's where we're going to wrap it up for today, next time the entrance exam. I know I glanced over quite a bit of time, but it will likely feature in flashbacks or not matter in general. Speaking about the entrance exam and other implications. All Might has seen Izuku go at the slime villain, even after crushing his dreams and is going to offer Izuku OFA, I have an idea for if he accepts and for if he doesn't. That choice I'll leave up to you guys. Also I would like to get some ideas for the pairings (both Natsu and Izuku). A small heads up the classes will be randomized. The only certainty I can give is that Izuku and Natsu will be in the opposing class due to friendly rivalry. Have a nice weekend.

Snowfire out!
