It had been four days. Four absolutely boring days for Viox as she walked around her temporary quarters. She looked out the window for the tenth time that day as she huffed loudly for her sister to hear. Violet looked up from her papers, as she was in on the case of finding Fruitia. Her blue eyes looked at Viox, "Are you done with your fit yet?" she asked as Viox crossed her arms, "Well maybe if i was let out without a crowd of Knights with me every second. I would be." Viox sighed, "We just need to make sure you don't get hurt Viox." as she looked at her twin, "You know it's not safe for you out there right now." she said as Viox rolled her eyes, "I have a Vision. I can protect myself a lot better than needing eight Knights." Viox tried reasoning with her sister, who sighed, "That's not the point Viox, we don't know what she has planned and you're not trained to fight. You hardly know a few steps that I taught you when I was practicing for my Knightship." Violet said, looking back down at the papers. Viox smirked, "Then teach me how to fight!" she said, turning away from the window fully. "You can just teach me enough to at least get me away from the attacker." she said as Violet looked up once more, "Viox, I can't just teach you to fight, I'd be too gentle to train you." Violet took a moment, "But i have someone who could help." She said standing up and motioning to Viox for her to follow. Viox grinned happily as she followed her sibling out of the room.

"Kaeya! Just the man I wanted to see!" Violet called as the eyepatched man looked up from talking to a blond haired Knight, Viox flushed as Kaeya looked at her for a moment before turning his gaze to Violet, "Knight Violet." he greeted her as Violet smirked, "Knight Kaeya. Knight Bennett, it's been a while.'' She greeted the shorter blond Knight next to Kaeya. He wore a dirty white tank top and some blue colored shorts, a red bandana tied to his right wrist and a larger orange one tied on the same side and on his upper arm. Large goggles on top of his shaggy blond hair. A Vision was attached to his right hip. His hands were covered by thick tan and navy blue gloves. There was a bandaid here and there, but over all he looked like a truly happy Knight. Viox waved a little at the two, "Hey! You're Viox! I've heard quite a bit about you! Is it true you fought off a whole group of Abyss Mages?" Bennett asked as Viox chuckled, "That's quite the rumor." she said as Bennett gasped, "You didn't deny it, so it must be somewhat true!" He said gleefully as Kaeya tapped his shoulder, "Make sure you get the things I've requested Bennett, I need those things as soon as possible." he said to the younger adventurer, as Bennett nodded, "I'm on the case Kaeya! Leave it to me!" he said as he waved goodbye to everyone, "Nice meeting you Viox!" he called out as Viox nodded and waved back at him. As Bennett walked away, Kaeya turned his attention to the twins, "What did you need, Violet? I was about to go have a meeting with Jean, it seems she picked up a piece of our missing puzzle." he said as Violet waved that off, "I'll meet up with Jean, i have a favor to ask." she said as Viox stayed quiet, confused about what her sister was doing. "Ask away." Kaeya said, opening the floor to Violet. "I need you to train Viox." she said as Kaeya's eye widened at the surprise, "Train Viox?" he asked, looking at the pink haired twin in question, "Why?" he asked looking at Violet, who had already started walking away, "I'll let Viox tell you! I'll come back later to grab her! Have fun!" she called out as Viox glared at her sister's fleeing form.

"Viox." Kaeya called as Viox looked at the man who had stolen her heart. He looked at her, "Explain why you want to train." he asked as he crossed his arms. Viox sighed, "I want to get better at fighting so I can at least defend myself against an attack in case something were to happen." she said, "I have a Vision, I can at least try." she looked at Kaeya, who seemed tired. "Viox, that's why you were given a set of Knights to protect you." he said as he went to reach for her hand, but moved it away quickly. He looked at the woman before him as he sighed a little, "How about I take you out into the square for a little while tonight? Will you then try and settle while we try to catch Fruitia?" he asked her as Viox nodded, "Just the two of us?" she asked as Kaeya nodded, "Just the two of us, okay? Besides, we need to talk anyway." he said as Viox smiled a little, "Alright." she said, as Kaeya began to walk away. "Come along, I'll take you back to your quarters." he said as Viox followed him.

As the two walked it was quiet. Viox looked over at Kaeya, who seemed to be enjoying the silence unlike Viox. She wanted to talk but she kept her mouth closed. "Viox?" Kaeya asked as Viox looked over at him, "Yes?" she asked as he pointed to her door, "We're here. Meet me at my office at about 8pm, Violet can give you directions to it." he said as he started to walk away. Viox bit her lip as she snagged his hand before he took a step, "Kaeya, are you okay?" she asked him as he looked about at her, "I am fine." he said as he gently removed her hand from his. "Trust me, I am fine, I'll be waiting for you." he said softly as he looked over at her, Viox sighed as she entered her room, closing the door behind her.

As the time came to meet up with Kaeya, Viox stood outside his office door. Knights walked around her in the busy hallway, although night had fallen around Mondstadt, the Knights were busy guarding and protecting the city. Viox sighed as she opened the door, only to close it behind her gently, as her eyes took in the scene before her. She smiled a little.

Kaeya was slumped over his papers as he held a quill in one hand but also used the back of that same hand to hold his tired head up. Viox smiled more, this was the first time she had ever seen the man sleeping, even if it was uncomfortable. She walked over to the other side of his desk where he sat, moving some of his blue hair from his tired face. He looked peaceful, but she wouldn't allow him to sleep like this. She studied his tan face for a moment, dark sleep bags were under his eye as he looked a little more pale than normal as well. She frowned, had he been working himself to this point? Why? Viox looked over to what was on his desk. Papers scattered everywhere, but a map was among them, she plucked it from its spot, looking it over. "That's not for your eyes, Viox." Kaeya's tired voice echoed up as Viox jumped, startled at the man, who was looking at her with a lazy look. "I'm sorry, did I wake you?" She asked as Kaeya shrugged, "I was dozing till you entered the room. I assumed you were going to call for me, but I was wrong." he said as he carefully stood up, Viox set the map down, "Are you alright?" she asked as Kaeya let out a small yawn, "I'll be fine after some good rest." he said gently, "Now i wanted to talk about earlier. You want to be trained?" he asked as Viox nodded, "Just enough to get me out of a tough spot in case anything were to happen." she said, Kaeya looked at her, blinking lazily, "I don't think there will be a problem there." he said as he leaned against his desk. "Yet you allow me to be locked up in a room all day, and heaven forbid I walk outside of the Knights guild. Being trailed by 8 Knights is a blast, you should try it sometime when all you want to do is go book shopping." she spat at him, not holding back the venom in her voice. Kaeya sighed softly, "Viox, we need to be careful about this, you know that." he said as he looked down at the floorboards, Viox glared, "Then why did I even come back to Mondstadt Kaeya?" she asked him ,"I'm so sick of being locked up all day, or even when I'm out and about, I'm followed by a crowd of Knights!" she snapped as Kaeya looked at her, "I know it's a lot, but we have to do this." he tried reasoning with the other. Viox rolled her eyes, "Kaeya i can't handle this for any longer. I don't want to be trapped in one spot till Fruitia decides to appear once more." she said as she crossed her arms. Kaeya pinched the bridge of his nose, "I know, trust me I know!" he snapped at her, "You're not the only one that's stressed out about all of this. I've been trying to find that rat but it's like a game of cat and mouse at this point. Viox, I'm trying here." He said as he looked at her. Viox bit her lip and looked away, "I can't handle being here anymore Kaeya, i want to be comfortable, besides staying here only after just returning two weeks ago, doesn't that seem weird?" she asked as Kaeya made a noise, "I agree, but i don't want you to get hurt again." He said looking at the pink haired woman, "You're not safe with anyone but the Knights, I don't think there is another person I trust to make sure you're safe and stay safe." He crossed his arms. Viox sighed, hugged her body with her arms, "What about Diluc? His Winery is outside of Mondstadt and it's out in the countryside. Maybe that can be safe? It takes me out of the city where it is more dangerous." She explained as Kaeya sighed out his nose, "I don't know Viox." he said, Viox sighed a little, "Diluc is holding a ball of sorts celebrating his newest Wine. What if we use that to drag out Fruitia?" Viox asked. Kaeya glared at her, "We are not using you as Live Bait! Are you mad?!" He snapped at her, as Viox glared back, "Well you got any better ideas?!" she snapped back at him, "This might be your only chance to snag her and you're worried about me?! Are you listening to yourself right now? You're going to sit here and throw away the perfect opportunity to catch her because you don't want to use me as Live Bait?!" Kaeya stood fully up, "Because I don't want to lose you again! That's why!" he hissed out as Viox took a step back, "But you won't! We'll have Knights there, we always have!" she said in a shout. Kaeya looked at her, "you don't know that, you don't know what she could pull Viox. I refuse for you to put yourself in such an easy position." he said. Viox glared, "Then I'll ask Jean. She would understand that this is the best option we have. I'm sick of staying here. I'm sick of staying away from home! I'm sick that I can't have a normal relationship with the man I love!" she shouted as she paused covering her mouth. Kaeya's milky blue eye widened with surprise as Viox backed away from him, "I need to leave!" she said as she quickly rushed from his office as Kaeya called for her. Viox could hear his shouts as she darted from the hall that led to his office. Rushing down the steps and passed Violet, who also shouted her name as Viox ran. Heading outside, into the rainy streets of the city.

She had admitted her love for Kaeya right in front of him. She stifled a cry as her eyes watered, running as she ran towards the city gates, shouts of her name being called, the voice that stood out the most was Kaeya's as she ran right into someone, falling to the rain soaked stone ground. "Miss Viox?" the person said as Viox looked up. It was Diluc, holding an umbrella in his hand as Viox heard more shouts. Diluc looked towards the sounds and then back at Viox. "You're running from the Knights?" he asked as Viox nodded, "Can I stay at the Winery?" she asked quickly. Diluc looked between the noises of Viox's name being called and her. "Alright, but only because I owe you one." he said calmly, handing her the umbrella. "Take my horse, you have the key already, go fast, I'll catch up later." he said as Viox smiled, "Thank you." she said as he quickly helped the shorter onto the horse as she galloped out of the city gates. The shouts got duller and quiet as she pushed the horse to go faster. Viox felt the first tear fall. Even though the rain was cold against her legs and chest, her face was warmed by the salty tears that ran down her face. She didn't want him to know her feelings fully for him yet. She wanted to tell him when she was ready, but instead she ruined it by blurting it out in a fit or hurt and rage. She sniffled lightly as she saw the Winery come into view. Thankful to see it, she didn't bother stopping the horse's gallop till she was there.
