After the episode that he had with Yenwu, Lin Ye wasn't in the best of moods now.

When he got back to his seat with Yenwu accompanying him, Yenwu guided his daughter to the front row, where they were supposed to be.

However, Lin Ye could see how reluctant she was. Looked like she wanted to sit with him. Muyue still went to the front. What a good girl.

Mostima was gone too.

She must have to do something more important to leave this early.

He sat through the event, barely understanding a thing. Not because he was dumb, he was just too tired to care about anything. However, he had to force himself to stay as focused as he could.

Why, you may ask?

He had a cute junior that was relying on him, that's why.

She would sometimes ask him about some presentations that were given. He answered her question as best he could do.

This made Lin Ye viewed Eyja in a better light than before. She was so determined to learn something even with her disability.

His respect for her grew when she did her presentation.

She presented it like a pro. She didn't show any sign of stage fright.

Lin Ye was also glad that nobody asked him anything throughout the event. He was excited to get back home and sleep throughout the rest of the day when he was told it was over.

His battery was a bit low after this whole event.

However, before he could run away from the venue with his cute junior, he was caught by the princess of Lungmen, Muyue. She used a foolproof plan to trap him.

Hugging him for dear life.

Like how she met Lin Ye, she begged him to come to her home to save her dog, Haha.

Don't get him wrong, he would love to go with her to help. However, not too long ago, he just rejected her father's offer to join him. It would be a bit awkward for him to go to his house after all of that.

In addition, he knew that he needed to go there to help Haha, but there was no way he could do so. Even if he went there, there was no way he could do anything to save Haha.

He couldn't reverse the age of an old dog by only his touch.

If it wasn't because of her father telling her that she needed to go home, she would still be latched onto his side for the rest of the day. So as her last resort, she used her secret weapon.

Those forsaken sad puppy eyes.

Lin Ye agreed to go to her home at a later time to help Haha.

When he told her that, Muyue gave him one last strong hug and went to her father's side.

"See you later, Gege!" Muyue waved at him, "Please come to my home!"

Lin Ye sighed but nonetheless smiled, waving her back.

"I didn't know that Senpai knew how to treat animals" Eyja ,who was standing next to Lin Ye said in an admiring tone, "Senpai's really amazing!"

If someone else praised him like this, Lin Ye would probably take it they were mocking him.

However, Eyja was not like that.

Lin Ye knew that this sweet girl would never mock him. So he smiled at the young genius.

No, this amazing scholar.

After the seminar just now, Lin Ye admired Eyja more and more with every passing time.

In his humble opinion, compared to the other scholars that were present here, Eyja was just shoulder above the rest. The prize was in her bag.

No question asked.

"So, who do you think will get the funding from Lungmen?" He asked Eyja.

He believed they didn't state the winner of the event yet so he was curious in her opinion.

"I don't know yet," Eyja shook her head, "And they would not announce it on the spot. Lungmen higher-ups still need to discuss with each other first. After all, the number of people that want it is not a small number. The money alone can change their research. They also need the approval from Mr. Wei Yenwu."

"Is that so," Lin Ye nodded, "He must be a busy man."

"He sure is," The small lamb nodded to him. Then she looked up at Lin Ye, "Senpai, what did you talk with Mr. Wei Yenwu before?"

"Why do you ask?" Lin Ye smiled at her, "Are you curious?"

"Yes, I didn't expect Senpai to be so amazing," Her eyes were practically stars with how bright they were. "Senpai even has a good relationship with him."

Lin Ye wanted to say that he and Yenwu weren't that close. The only connection that he had with that man was having a good relationship with his daughter, Muyue and her dog, Haha. There was really nothing else other than that.

As for Yenwu and his talk before, Lin Ye really didn't want to talk about it.

"... Nothing really," Lin Ye smiled, "He just wanted to tell me something important. That was all."

"... If you say so, Senpai."

As they were nearing the exit, Lin Ye saw a familiar person there. Ceylon and she were standing beside someone else.

Next to Ceylon stood a Feline woman with long silver hair and a crossbow attached to her side.

When Lin Ye looked over to them. The other party just raised her head.

Golds stared at blacks.

Then he felt something that he had felt before.

Murderous intent.

A normal person would run away by only the look that she was giving to him.

However, Lin Ye just stared back at her without flinching.

He did face a literally overgrown zombie takoyaki before. A woman glaring at him without reason? He really did not mind that.

"A bodyguard?" Lin Ye muttered to himself softly, "Should I get one? I do face some dangerous situations pretty often now. Maybe..."

Eyja heard what Lin Ye said

"Senpai, do you want to have a bodyguard?"

"That's not what I meant," Lin Ye chuckled, "But…"

Those who could afford bodyguards were mostly people with a certain status on them.

A bodyguard wearing sunglasses would usually be by their side at all times.

Their job wasn't that complicated to him.

Just go to the client side and stand. If something happens, protect their boss at all cost.

They even looked cool doing it too.

"Maybe one day."

Eyja tilted her head.

"I feel that your request was a bit strange, Senpai."

Lin Ye coughed.

"For now, I think I don't need a bodyguard," Lin Ye smiled at her, "I just need to get stronger."

"As expected of Senpai!"

This made Lin Ye feel a bit embarrassed.

"I am not that great." Lin Ye tried to lower the small girl's image of him.

However, with how bright her eyes were, he seemed to be failing miserably.

As they were chatting with each other, Ceylon also noticed Lin Ye.

She looked at Lin Ye, bit her lip. Then she walked towards Lin Ye as if she had made some difficult decision. When she was near enough to him, she held a file to him.

"Mr. Blood. I want to get your guidance," Ceylon told him, "This is my graduation thesis, about Originium. If possible, could you give me your feedback?"

Ceylon looked a little hesitant, but Lin Ye looked relieved.

He thought that Ceylon was about to bring that woman behind her, the bodyguard, and came here to get him in trouble.

Finally, a break.

There was definitely no way he could give her any good feedback. He was not an expert in Originium. But if it's a thesis, he could take it back and show it to Warfarin later.

"Of course," Lin Ye smiled and took the file from her.

Ceylon suddenly showed a look of surprise.

"... You agree?"

"Should I not?" Lin Ye chuckled, "Can I have your number? I will contact you directly after reading it. If it is fine with you, I mean."

Ceylon never thought it would be this easy. She thought that Lin Ye would definitely refuse her.

It seemed that Mr. Blood was different in real life.

Then Ceylon showed a small smile to him.

She was very happy to give Lin Ye her contact information.

"Thank you very much. If you want to come to Siesta City in the near future, be sure to call me."

Lin Ye naturally nodded to this

Then Ceylon left with her bodyguard after saying her goodbyes.

When they were gone Ejya tug on his sleeve to get his attention,

"Yes, Eyja?"

"The person who was standing next to Miss Ceylon just now, she was an infected."

"Really?" Lin Ye looked at Eyja in surprise, "How are you so sure of this? "

"I felt her body temperature," Eyja nodded, "The body temperature of an infected is different from that of an ordinary person. It is easy for me to tell the difference."

"Is that so?" Lin Ye looked at Ceylon's back and wondered, "Isn't Ceylon a missy in her city? Is it even suitable to hire an infected person to be her bodyguard?"

Although more than half of Rhodes Island's members were infected, it was still difficult for infected to find jobs in other places. He would guess that being hired as a body was one of the jobs.

Non-infected people rarely felt safe around Infected, especially those who were higher ups.

This was the reason why Lin Ye felt puzzled, but no one could answer his doubts.

But he didn't think much about it.

He was preparing to leave with Eyja.

He turned around and suddenly collided with an oncoming person.

"Ah, sorry," Lin Ye subconsciously apologized, but the other party did not hear him, and walked directly past him without stopping.

Someone is having a bad day.

Lin Ye looked back at the person and saw that they were wearing a black coat over their body. He raised his head and looked to the sky. It was getting a bit cloudy now.

Will it rain today?
