Big Brother
August 27 1987
"Wake up big brother!! Wake up, wake up"!!
Yakko, who was a little annoyed from being woken up from his sleep, sat up in his bed. His eyes were only starting to open. He was only starting to completely wake up.
"I'm up, I'm up", he groaned," why do you have to wake me up every single morning"?
His brother shrugged his shoulders.
"I dunno", Wakko replied," brother now awake"!!
"I sure am, thanks to you".
He didn't mind being awoken by his younger brother that much. True, it could be annoying, but he had to wake up at some point, so Wakko sort of acted as his alarm. He gave out a loud sigh, as he knew it was time to start another day.
It had been a little stressful for him since Dot was born. He used to handle things just fine when all he only had was his brother to look after. But now that he had
two younger siblings to care for, it seemed that he couldn't sit down for a second. Both of his parents were barely any help since they both worked pretty much every day.
Hopefully, he'd get lucky and this would be one of those days where his aunt would come over to give him a hand.
I could only hope, he thought.
Suddenly, Wakko started getting extremely excited over something as he started jumping up and down on the bed.
"Come on big brother", Wakko said excitedly," let's go see sissy"!!
He looked over at his joyful brother.
"Settle down a little there Wak, we'll see Sissy, I promise".
His brother then plopped down onto the bed, he giggled out of control. Yakko chuckled, he wished he had as much enthusiasm over things as Wakko did.
He put his hand on Wakko's head, trying to make him calm down a little.
"Shh, you still gotta be quiet, sib", Yakko told him," we're awake, but the neighbors are probably still fast asleep. We don't want to try and wake them up, now don't we"?
"No, neighbors mean".
He chuckled," yeah, the neighbors are mean aren't they? So we gotta be quiet so they leave us alone, can you do that".
Wakko nodded, a small grin had formed on his face.
"Me be quiet", his brother said," so neighbors not meanies"!!
"Exactly", he agreed," now come on there bucko, sissy is waiting for us".
At that moment, Yakko slid off the bed onto the floor, his brother soon followed. They both exited their room at the same time, both rushing towards the living room. He approached the crib, he could see that his sister was still sound asleep inside.
When he approached the crib, he pulled the stool out from under the crib. He then stepped onto it, Wakko did the same. They both glared inside of the crib. Dot had her thumb in her mouth, fast asleep. She looked so cute when she slept.
He did nothing but stare at his baby sister for the next few minutes. Wakko also looked intrigued, his eyes were wide open, facing their sister.
Yakko had forgotten how much he loved babies, they were really the cutest thing ever. Dot looked even cuter than when Wakko was her age. He could get used to seeing her cute, chubby little face for a while.
Why do they have to grow up? Why can't they stay like this forever?
After a little while passed, it appeared as his sister was starting to wake up. Both he and Wakko watched in fascination as she did so. Of course, watching someone wake up didn't sound like anything too extraordinary, but something made this different. There's something special about watching a baby wake up from their sleep.
The little baby yawned weakly, she was stretching her little arms as she started to wake up. Her big, wide eyes finally opened, they twinkled from the bright shine of the sun coming in from the window. She stared up at him, it looked like she was fascinated by seeing her brothers. She is still adjusting to the real world after all.
"Good morning sister of mine", Yakko said to Dot," ready to start the day"?
His sister didn't reply as expected, he couldn't tell what she was actually thinking at the moment. But it seemed like a yes, so he would just roll with it.
"Sissy", Wakko said," sissy awake"!!
Yakko carefully lifted Dot out of her crib. He had to be careful, she was only a month old after all. He snuggled the baby in his arms, his brother looked up intensely at him.
"Me hold", he demanded. He lifted his arms up trying to reach for his sister," me hold sissy"!!
"No", Yakko said sternly," you're gonna drop her".
"No, me no drop sissy. Let me hold please"!!!
"No, I can't….I don't know if I can trust you".
Wakko's face turned into a pout, he crossed his arms.
"No fair, mommy let me hold sissy"!!
"I know, I was there….I sat right next to you".
"But you not let me hold now"!!!
His brother stomped his foot on the floor, Yakko knew that if he didn't do something now, then a tantrum would come soon, very soon. And he didn't want to start his day off like that.
Thinking quickly, he came up with a solution.
"How about I let you hold Dot after breakfast", he told him," does that sound like a deal".
"No, me hold now"!!!
This is going to be a long day!!!
He started to get a headache, it seemed like it was going to be one of those days. He sighed, he knew what he had to do.
He bent down a little, so Dot was in his brother's reach.
"Fine, you can hold her for a minute, but be careful".
Wakko looked delighted as he gave Dot over to him. He watched as his brother snuggled his sister in his arms. He couldn't help but smile, they looked so cute together. If only mom and dad were home to see this, they would be proud.
"Hi sissy", Wakko said to his sister," me love sissy so much"!
He gave her a kiss on the cheek, Dot blanky stared at him. It seemed as his sister started to get squirmy in Wakko's arms. It looked like Wakko was giving her a little too much love. It was as he expected, Yakko knew that his brother wasn't the most careful person.
After a while, Yakko was over all the snuggling. He took his sister out of Wakko's arms. His brother's pout returned.
"You take away!!", he whined," Me not done with sissy"!!
"Shh quiet, your being too loud".
"No, me very quiet"!!
"Alright, then prove it then", Yakko said to his brother," cause if you don't, then you're going straight to your room after breakfast".
"Noooooo, me stay here!!", Wakko was starting to get into tantrum territory. "Me stay with big brother"!!
"Then stop crying and move on from it already! Why does this have to be so hard"!?
He felt like he was going to go into a tantrum of his own. Why was his brother so difficult to deal with sometimes? He knows that he's only little, but could he at least tone down on all these tantrums? It feels like he's been having a lot more of them recently.
His mom had told him that tantrums are a normal thing, and not to worry about them too much. She went on to say that he wasn't any better, saying that he used to have a lot of tantrums too when he was Wakko's age.
He didn't agree with what she said at all. Tantrums are so annoying to deal with, and can easily ruin his day. And when did he ever have a tantrum?
Focusing back on the situation, he tried to be as calm as he possibly could.
"Please, calm down sib", he said softly, " there's no reason for you to be crying right now. I let you hold sissy for a while, but now it's time for me to have a turn".
His brother looked up at him, he was still frowning.
"But, but...you tell me can hold sissy".
"And I kept my promise, I let you hold sissy for a minute, didn't I".
Wakko nodded sadly.
"Exactly, I let you hold Dot, but now it's over, and it's time to move on. How about we have breakfast now"?
"Ok big brother", Wakko said sweetly," me hungry, me want breakfast".
He had done good once again. It's surprising how easy it is to end his brother's tantrum. Yakko knew that his brother loved him a lot, so that might be the reason. Regardless, he was glad that everything was under control again.
"How about we do something special Wak, I think we still have leftovers from the sandwiches Mom brought us last night".
His brother got excited," me want sandwich, me want sandwich"!!
Wakko went on chanting for a while, he knew that his brother was happy to have something different for breakfast. Yakko put his hand on his brother's head to calm him down.
"Alright sib, if you say so. Let's go have sandwiches".
Yakko gulped down on his sandwich, he enjoyed it very much. It was a turkey sandwich, it had lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and cheese on it. He hadn't realized how hungry he truly was until he started eating it, he enjoyed his sandwich very much.
It seemed like Wakko also enjoyed his sandwich. It was the same one he was eating, his brother was chowing down on it like it was no tomorrow. To be fair though, he was doing the same.
He looked over at Dot sitting in her highchair. She had a bored look on her face, she was blankly staring at her brothers as they quickly gobbled down the sandwiches.
It was at that moment when he realized something horrible.
Oh no, I forgot to give my sister her morning bottle!! How did I forget!?
Embarrassed to have forgotten to do such a basic task, he set his sandwich down on the table and quickly ran into the kitchen. He pulled open the fridge, grabbing the bottle of milk that was in there. He ran back to the table, rushing towards his sister.
He handed the bottle to Dot, she looked to be interested in the object that had been put in front of her.
"Here you go", Yakko said to her," your big brother has brought you your bottle".
His sister stared at the bottle, Yakko shook the bottle a little to try and get her attention. After a few seconds, Dot finally leaned her head over to him and started sucking on the tip of the bottle. He felt proud in that moment, proud to be so responsible for his siblings.
Still can't believe I almost forgot though, he thought to himself, thank goodness I remembered when I did. I can't even imagine how mad mom would've been.
As he was feeding his sister, Yakko noticed that Wakko was intensely staring at him. It looked like he wanted to ask for something. He looked over at his brother.
"What's up sib", Yakko said," you want something"?
"What we do today"?
"Whatever you want Wak, want to play with your blocks"?
"Me want to go to park"!
"The park?", he replied, a little surprised at Wakko's request," Mom isn't home sib, I don't want something to happen to us".
"Why"?
"I just told you why, I don't want anything bad to happen".
"But we go to park", Wakko stated," we go all day"!!
"Yes, we do go to the park", Yakko told him," but still, I don't want anything to happen to us while we are there".
Wakko frowned, he knew that he would have to deal with another tantrum soon. His brother did make a good point though, they do usually go to the park without their parents. But there usually at home when they do so, he has to ask for permission before he leaves on his own, that's the rule. Both of his parents were working today, and if they all went to the park without telling anybody, he was sure that he would get into big trouble.
But then he remembered something, his mom worked at the sandwich shop right across the street from their apartment. Maybe if they leave the apartment to go to the park, and then afterwards go to the sandwich shop, then maybe he won't get into as much trouble that way.
Yakko, you're a genius!!
"Say Wak, I change my mind. We can go to the park today".
His brother's face changed instantly, he grinned, delighted to hear such great news.
"Really", he asked.
He nodded," absolutely. Now why don't you finish eating so we can get ready to go".
Wakko picked up his sandwich and continued to chow down on it. Yakko had just finished feeding Dot her morning bottle. He lifted her up out of the highchair and proceeded to burp her. She gave out a small burp, it was not as loud as when Wakko did it. He chuckled just thinking about his brother's belching, it was gross but hilarious at the same time.
He walked around a little, carrying his sister in her arms. She might fall back asleep soon, he only realized then that it might be a little bit of a pain to take his infant sister to the park with him. His mom had told him numerous times that babies need as much sleep as possible. Though, if he didn't take her with him, there would be dire consequences.
He shrugged his shoulders, she was only a baby. She'll pretty much sleep for the entire time. He won't be able to play with his brother since he'll have to spend all of his time with Dot. While that disappointed him a little, his sister was adorable, so he'll get to spend all of his time cuddling her.
He smiled a little, mabey this day will be good after all.
Yakko stood by the front door. He was still cradling Dot in his arms. He was waiting for Wakko to be done using the bathroom so they can go.
"Hurry up Wakko", he hollard," I'm waiting for you"!!
The door of the bathroom finally opened, and the furry little boy came rushing out. He ran to him, giving him a big hug once he got to him.
He ruffled his head, Wakko was full of energy today. Must have been the sandwich he ate.
"You ready to go"?
"Yes, yes, me ready", Wakko replied cheerfully.
"Ok then sib, we better get going then".
Yakko grabbed onto Wakko's hand, still balancing Dot in his arm. He took a deep breath, he was a little worried about what could happen to him.
Calm down Yakko, he tried to motivate himself, Mom will be fine with it, it will all go according to plan, I promise.
After reassuring himself, he grabbed the knob of the front door, slowly turning it open. The door was now completely open, revealing a long, dim lit hallway. He locked the door on the inside, a small trick that his mom taught him a few days ago.
Making sure he did it right, he took another deep breath. He felt better about the situation, he was doing something nice for his brother. He hesitated for a second, then finally exited the apartment, closing the door behind him.
They started walking down the long, narrow hallway. Doors to other apartments surrounded the walls. The color of the walls was a faint, dirty gray color. A lightbulb was flickering on the ceiling, the hallway was anything but appealing.
They approached a set of 3 elevators. Yakko pressed the beg button on the middle elevator, hopefully they didn't have to wait for too long.
He heard buzzing noises coming from behind the metal doors of the elevator. Some time passed and the doors to the elevator finally opened. Yakko and his siblings walked into the elevator. The doors closed behind them, he saw his brother grin, knowing what they were going to be doing today.
Yakko looked over at his cheerful sibling.
"Want to push the button?", he asked.
Wakko smiled, he nodded.
"Good, do you know what floor we're going to"?
"The first one", Wakko replied.
"That's right, do you know what button you have to press"?
The little boy put a hand under his chin, thinking hard about the question that was asked to him.
Not wanting to take too much time on this, Yakko decided to help his brother out. He pointed out the large "one" button for him.
"It's right here", Yakko told him," go on, push it".
Wakko pressed the button, the elevator started making buzzing sounds again. The elevator suddenly jostled, before starting to head down. It startled Yakko a little, along with his brother. Both of them had startled looks on their faces.
"Did I do good"?
"You did good", he reassured Wakko," you found the button. Thank you for helping me, we'll get to the main floor and start heading towards the park. How excited are you"?
"Me really excited", His brother yelled," me go on slide, swing on the swing"!!
"Glad to hear that you're excited, sib. I need to tell you something important, ok"?
"What", his brother asked. He tilted his head a little, he looked confused about what his brother wanted to tell him.
Before Yakko could reply, the doors to the elevator opened. They had arrived at the main lobby of the apartment complex. He grabbed onto Wakko's hand as he exited the elevator.
"What is it big brother?", Wakko asked again," what you tell me"?
"I just want to tell you that, I won't be playing with you on the playground. I have to look after Dot and I don't want..".
"Good morning boys", a voice called, " going somewhere"?
Yakko froze in his tracks, he turned his head. He saw Jenny, the clerk of the apartment, sitting at the front desk as usual. She had a big smile on her face, she was waving at him and Wakko.
Oh dear, not now!!
Jenny made a motion with her hand for Hi to come over. He groaned, he didn't want to talk to Jenny right now. His brother was so ancy to get to the park, and he was in the middle of telling him something important. Hopefully, their conversation would be very quick.
He walked over to where the clerk was sitting. She still wore that bright, intimidating smile on her face. She didn't move her eyes off of them for a second, she didn't even blink.
"Well hi there Yakko", Jenny said," how are you doing this fine morning"?
"Good Jenny", he replied," I'm taking Wakko to the park, it seems he needs to get his energy out".
"Big brother take me to park", Wakko added," me want to slide"!!
Jenny chuckled," Oh Yakko, your brother is such a sweetie pie".
Not even a minute into the conversation, and Yakko was already very annoyed with talking to the clerk. It was that tone of voice she used, she had that sweet, southern accent that made her sound like she came right out of the wild west or something. It drove him crazy, every time she spoke he wanted to pull his ears off his head.
Jenny went on," I should've known, you boys are always going to the park together. It's so sweet, bet you're holding hands skipping the whole way there".
Please, stop talking!! You're driving me nuts!!
"Yeah, you know Wakko. He always wants me to take him somewhere".
"Yeah, you know siblings, always keeping you on your toes".
He looked down at his sister, still fast asleep in his arms, thank goodness she was. He had enough with his conversation with the clerk. He quickly came up with an excuse.
"I think we better get going now, Wakko is eager to get to the park. He really wants to go on the slide".
"Yes yes, me want to slide"!!
"It looks like it", the clerk said," well I won't stop you any further. Have fun"!!
Thank you!!!
Pleased that the conversation was finally over, it was time to return to what they were doing before. He and his brother headed towards the main doors of the apartment complex.
He pushed through the door with his elbow, still balancing a sleeping Dot. Luckily, he was able to get the door open on his first try.
It was a spectacularly beautiful day outside. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky. He could see birds placed on the windowsill, chirping their hearts out in the early afternoon sun. A gentle breeze brushed across his fur, which picked up with the wind current and was blowing all over the place. It felt like a good day, he felt the world give him a big hug. With all the stressful moments in his life, it's easy to forget the great stuff.
Maybe today will be good after all, Yakko thought to himself, I can feel it, I can feel this fantastic day inside of me.
As he walked across the large parking lot trying to work his way to the sidewalk, he couldn't help but smile. He felt so good that he wanted to sing, he wouldn't actually though, as not to humiliate himself. Besides, he didn't know that many songs. And the songs he had heard, he doesn't know any of the words to.
He looked over at Wakko, who appeared to be just as cheerful. His eyes were closed, his hand sticking out, feeling the breeze as it brushed across his face.
Yakko chuckled," you happy"?
"Me happy", his brother replied in a bubbly tone," me very happy".
"Beautiful day, isn't it Wak"?
Wakko nodded," it beautiful day".
He chuckled again, his brother was simply the best. He was happy for the little guy, happy that he was having as great of a time as he was having.
Yakko then suddenly remembered what he and his brother were talking about before Jenny interrupted him.
Oh yeah, gotta tell him about what will happen at the park.
"Hey sib, do you remember what I was saying a little while ago. Back at the apartment, I told you I would be looking after our sister the whole time"?
His brother made a puzzled look on his face.
"No, what brother say"?
"Nothing much, I'm just gonna be sitting on the bench the whole time, spending time with sissy".
"Brother no play"?
"I'm afraid not, but you still can. Just make sure you stay in my sight, alright"?
There was a short moment of silence, the puzzled look on Wakko still remained present.
"Ok brother", Wakko said in a sweet, quiet little voice," me listen to brother, brother know best"!!
"You bet I do, little bro"!!
After walking for about half an hour, they finally made it to the park. It was a small park, located in the middle of a neighborhood. There was a playground, with a slide and rock climbing wall, designed sort of like a castle.
Next to that was a swingset, located behind a basketball court. There was no one else at the park at the time, they were the first ones there. Strange, there's usually at least a couple of people here, though it is the middle of the week and most people are working.
At least there's no one there to bother him, so he could have peace and quiet.
Yakko opened the gate that led to the playground. After entering, he let go of his brother's hand. Wakko went flying away from him, heading towards the big red slide, his favorite part of the entire playground.
"Remember Wakko", he called out to his sibling," make sure you stay where I can see you".
Wakko replied with nothing, he was already climbing up the ladder attached to the slide.
Hopefully he heard me.
He sighed in satisfaction, he'd done good once again. He walked slowly towards a small, wooden bench located off of where the slide was. It was a good place to relax, and a good place to keep a close eye on his brother.
He sat down on the bench, still cradling Dot. He decided to set her down next to him, his arms were getting tired. He sighed, looking down at his sister.
"Hello Dottie", Yakko said to her," you awake"?
The baby's eyes slowly started to open, she made some kind of high pitched noise as she did so. She looked up at him, she had the same satisfied, curious look as she did this morning. She's only starting to adapt to the big world around her. To think that not so long ago, Wakko was the exact same age as her.
She really was a tiny little baby, his brother wasn't even this small.
Hmm, she's so small what if….no..don't even think about that!!
He suddenly got nervous about his infant sister accidentally falling off the bench. He'd fallen on grass before, and it's not as soft as you think.
Not wanting to be paranoid the whole time they were there, he decided to move Dot over to his lap, just to keep her safe. He gently lifted her up, and maneuvered the happy looking baby so her head was resting on his knee. The whole time, his sister was looking up at him in satisfaction, sticking her tiny hands in her mouth, making her cheeks really chubby.
She was really the cutest thing ever, and he thought Wakko was adorable. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her for even a second, she was sort of addicting to look at.
"Nah, you're so cute", he said to his sister, " you know, I've never seen a baby as cute as you are. You're such a little cutie, aren't you".
He tickled Dot's chin, she turned her head away from him. It was a little surprising to him, she'd never done anything like that before. Maybe it's the unusual environment or something. She'd never gone so far from the apartment before.
Or maybe she's just sensitive, you never know.
"Who's a little cutie", he went on," are you a little cutie, yes you are, yes you are"!!
He kept smothering his sister with love for a while. He noticed that her face was all scrunched up. He stopped for a second, hoping that he didn't do anything wrong. She then started crying, it started out as a small whimper, but quickly grew into her balling into tears.
Yakko didn't know what to do, he didn't mean to scare her, he just wanted to give his sister a little love.
Who cries over love anyway, he thought, only her, I guess.
He lifted up the crying child, hugging her in his arms. He patted her back, trying to do anything to make her stop crying.
"Shh, Dottie please stop crying. I didn't mean to scare you, please stop crying".
He kept repeating that phrase over and over again until eventually his sister piped down. Though she was still whimpering a little. Her face was still scrunched up, tears dripping out of her eyes, down onto her cheeks.
A curious Wakko came over from the slide to see what was going on. He hopped up on the bench next to him, leaning close to look at his sister.
"Why sissy cry", his brother asked.
Yakko sighed," I don't know sib, she just started crying all of a sudden and I don't know why. Babies are weird like that".
"But why"?
"I told you, I don't know. This isn't the time Wak, I'm a little frustrated right now".
Wakko leaned back on the bench, he looked down at the grass below him, swinging his feet back and forth. Luckily, it seemed that Dot had finally stopped crying, though some tears were still dripping from her face.
"You feeling better sissy"?
Dot said nothing, her eyes were slightly red from all the crying. Mabey taking her with them wasn't a good idea after all, they could've just stayed home and everything would be fine. He sighed, at least she wasn't crying anymore.
Yakko then turned to his brother who sat next to him.
"Listen sib", he said," I think our time here is about done. I say we start heading towards Mom".
"Noooo, me no want to"!!
"Wakko, we have to go now. We can't be here all day".
"But me stay", his brother whined," Me want play more"!!
"I'm sorry, but we can't stay here any longer".
"But whyyyy"!!!
"Because we need to go to mom, she could give us more sandwiches. Doesn't that sound good to you"?
His saddened brother looked up at him.
"Really", he asked.
Yakko nodded," sure, why not".
He then all of a sudden smelt something awful. It was a very distinct smell, it smelled like it was close to them. Yakko covered his nose, he felt his face turn a little green. He knew exactly what that smell meant. He looked down at his sister.
Oh shoot, her diaper needs to be changed!! And at such a horrible time too.
He groaned, they really had to leave now. He didn't know how long he could take that smell.
They were walking past the apartment building that they lived in. The tall, red bricked 10 story building towered above the sky. It was impossible to miss it. Though they were not going to go here, at least for now. They were going to cross the street to go to the sandwich shop where his Mom worked.
He held onto his brother's hand, he was still holding his smelly sister in his right arm. He hoped that he didn't barf before they got there, he didn't know how much more of the smell he could possibly take.
They got up to the crosswalk, Yakko leaned against the metal pole beside him. He couldn't cross the street yet, he had to wait for when the light was red so it could be safe to cross.
He turned his head to Wakko, who surprisingly still had a smile on his face the whole entire time.
"Almost there", he told his brother," I'm sure we can cross the street soon".
"When we get sandwich"?
"I know, I know, you're hungry. But like I said, we're almost there. Mom will be surprised that we came to see her".
Pretty surprised indeed.
Wakko started to get very excited again, he bounced up and down squealing.
"Sandwich, Sandwich", he chanted," me want it, me want now".
"Wakko stop, you're making me dizzy!!", he commanded.
His brother stopped immediately, he looked down at the small patch of grass beside him. It was very apparent that he understood that he had angered his older brother.
Cars suddenly started to slow down, piling into a cluster of multiple cars in a row. The light was red, it was now completely safe for them to cross.
"Come on sib", Yakko said," we got to cross quick"!!
He tightened the grasp on Wakko's hand, and they both quickly ran across the street to the other side. Once they made it safely across the road, Yakko led his brother through the long parking lot to a strip of small stores.
There weren't many stores open in this plaza, most of them were completely vacant, for rent. This strip was located across from the local Kmart which his family often went to. He didn't come down into this area all the time, only when it was laundry day. The laundromat was located just a few shops down from where his mom worked. He and his siblings would hang out in the sandwich place while his Dad was busy dealing with the laundry.
They were walking up to the store, they were almost there. Yakko was relieved, he could give his sister off to his mom for a while while he and his brother could rest and eat a late lunch.
They finally got up to the doors of the place. A blue sign hung over the door labeled Amy's deli - sandwiches and ice cream. He sighed nervously, how would his mom react to seeing them. They weren't supposed to be here right now.
He hesitated for a moment, took a couple of deep breaths, before finally reaching for the handle and opening the door.
Don't be scared, don't be scared, he kept repeating to himself, she won't be mad, she'd just be surprised at seeing us.
Entering the shop, there was barely anyone there. There was a family of raccoons sitting at a booth, and a couple of other toon animals, but that was about it. Business seemed slow for the small deli today.
He walked up to a counter that separated the kitchen from the dining area. The countertop was covered in metal containers which contained various products and toppings for all sorts of sandwich combos.
He saw a woman who was standing behind the counter a smidge close to him. She resembled him a little, the black and white color pallet, the red nose. He realized quickly that this was his mom. She didn't seem to notice that they came in though. Strange, she usually acknowledged every customer that came inside.
"Hey mom", Yakko shouted at her," Mom, over here"!!
She immediately looked up, she looked to be incredibly shocked. She ran up to where he was standing.
"Yakko!? I a..what...what are you doing here"!?
"I..I took Wakko to the park mom. He really wanted to go. Thought I'd stop by….and..you know..say hi..to you".
He was stuttering, his legs were shaking like crazy. He was so scared, he knew he'd really messed up big time.
His mom still looked shocked at him, her jaw was hanging.
"It's fine", she said.
Yakko wiped his hand over his face, he was so relieved.
"Why don't you sit down over there, I'll make you and Wakko something".
"Ok mom, thank you so much"!!
His mom smiled," anytime".
