It had been a week since Braun and Ria had started training and to say there magic had improved was an understatement, both were now at a magic level of that similar to a High C-class, it had even taken Natsu by surprise at how fast their magic improved he had expected them to be no higher then middle D-class, both were now able to use multiple spells, Braun now knowing how to cast multiple different cards, while Ria's most powerful attack is to make a snow cannon, not nearly as powerful as a certain Ice-make wizard, but powerful in her own right.
It had also been a week since Leo had taught their class but yesterday their substitute teacher for spell casting had told them that he was coming back from a 'vacation'.
Natsu woke up at 6:45, getting a shower at the dorm, which he had been forced by Braun to get used to, much to Natsu's displeasure, he got dressed and decided to take a jog before school, a jog for him was more of a full sprint, but to each their own.
He had let Braun and Ria rest for today and decided not to torture them after school, although Braun and Ria kept pestering him about not training himself on his magic, he kept up the excuse that he had already trained himself today at first it was working, but they had become suspicious again, not in a 'are you secretly going to kill us' way, they were just…curious.
'I've been on in this world for 9 days now and I still have no idea what that stupid God wants me to look for, he could have at least told me what I need to find or what I was looking for, but nothing, nada.
As Natsu ran up the hill, dawn was breaking, as he reached the top of the hill that overlooked the valley the school was in, he saw everything light up from the sunlight, as the sun reached his body, he felt the early morning heat coat his body, almost giving him a small power boost ready for the day.
Natsu was sat in class, he had gone back to the dorm and showered again and walked together with Ria and Braun to class
"So Natsu what dya think Leo's gonna say to yah," Braun says sitting facing forwards leaning against the back of his chair
"Nothing I doubt he'll even acknowledge I exist," I say in a bored tone ' I mean he is a teacher an all, but Leo did hold grudges in the last world, ugh this is gonna be a pain'
Just then I'm broken out my thoughts when Leo walks through the door, yawning as he walks towards his desk and pulling out his chair, and sitting down.
"Get In here John," he says his arm leaning on the desk and his cheek leaning on the palm of his hand, the other hand beckoning someone from outside in
A Brutish looking guy comes in wearing a green blazer, 'whats a C-class student doing in here?'
Braun turns around giving me a quizzical look as if asking if I know why, I shrug and he turns around looking at the front again
As murmurs go around the class, Leo stands up and slams his hand on the desk getting everyone's attention
"Now I know you're all curious as to why I brought a C-class student in today well, since I've been away for a week, were going to be testing your magic again, but this time it'll be in mock battles, in preparations for the class battles" he says his face morphing into a sickly smile at the end
"Now I've brought this C-class to test you all out, so why don't we head outside" he says standing up and leaving everyone else following closely behind
Braun and Ria wait for me at the door as I walk past I say to both of them
"Like I didn't even exist, just like I said," I say walking out of the class
We were stood outside in what could only be called a dirt field with a white circle in the middle
"SO for today, I want 2 people to go up against the C-class, now he won't be trying to much, so don't worry" he says smiling in the same way as before
"So anyone wanna have a go at him?" he gestures his arms out wide asking everyone, but then I see him staring at me, not like a normal stare, he was goading me into fighting him 'Great he holds grudges', so he wanted me to step in…so I complied…sort off I pushed Ria and Braun forwards
"What the hell Natsu?" "N-Natsu wh-what was that f-for?" they both say
"Oh, look at that we have two challengers," he says through gritted teeth, you could tell he was pissed, which I smile at, to see him only get more pissed off at me smiling.
"Right step into the circle," he says again through gritted teeth, I could actually hear them grinding against each other, it wasn't the most pleasant of noises, I notice just before the C-class steps into the circle Leo stops him and whispers something in his ear
"Just take these two out straight away, I want pinky over there" he says
"Got it"
Both Ria and Braun were now inside the circle, which was about a 1/4 size of an arena, so it was quite a big fighting area
"Jeez we've only been training for about a week, there no way we win against this guy" Braun says a slight nerve to his voice
"Ye-yeah but we can bo-th try rig-right?" she says more nervous than usual
Braun think for a second, before pulling out his cards and smiling
"Hell yeah we can!" he shouts excitedly to which Ria smiles at
Meanwhile on the side-lines a very confused celestial spirit is sat watching the two
'Why aren't they shaking in fear? it's not like they're gonna do anything to even faze him' as he looks at the C-class who is currently cracking his knuckles
'I just hope he doesn't maim them too badly, oh well here we go' he stands up and gathers everyone's attention
"May the battle begin"
In the circle, Braun and Ria split up walking in opposite directions, until the C-class shouts up
"Sorry to cut this short but I've gotta fight someone else" he says in a cocky tone walking towards them activating his magic
"WAVE MAGIC: SONIC FLASH" as he finishes chanting a wave of sonic energy comes out of his hands as he slashes to the side looking to end the fight quickly, it flies to the two at speeds to these F-class would probably be Impossible to dodge.
To his and I think everyone's surprise both of them avoid the attack pretty easily.
"Hey Ria, did you see what I saw?" Braun speaks up looking at the C-class surprised
"Y-yeah," she says staring wide-eyed
"His magic was slow," he says looking at his fists and smiling "and you know what that means don't you Ria," he says looking at her
"W-we can win," she says returning the smile
"Okay ready like we did with Natsu" he shouts to which everyone looks at me in surprise, while Leo looks on confused, dazed and worried.
"Don't look at me look at the fight?" I say not even looking at them my eyes on the fight, everyone's head snaps back to Braun and Ria while a certain celestial is panicking
'Wh-whats going on that should have taken them out, how did they...' he thinks sweat dripping from his brow
Back in the circle, Ria runs to the middle of the arena,
"Just because you dodged my attack doesn't mean you can beat me trash"
"WAVE MAGIC: SONIC WAVE" an even bigger and faster wave of sonic energy comes out, Ria slides under the attack and put's her arms out
What I also had noticed with Ria was whenever she was in battle her personality shifts to more of a deadly assassin, it took me by surprise and kind of freaked me out the first time it had happened
"Snow Screen," she says in a cold tone, as she says it a massive wall of Snow comes from her hands covering the C-class's sight of the battle, making him vulnerable
'Remember where he was, remember where he was, remember where he was' Braun chants in his head
He grabs a Dark-type card from his deck and throws it into the snow screen
"DARK GRENADE" he shouts as a massive blast of dark energy blows away the snow screen as well as sending a small shockwave out of the circle
From where the middle of the snow screen was a very bruised, bleeding and dirty C-class student's stands heavily panting
I had heard him use a Wave spell to take some of the damage off the Dark grenade spell.
The whole of F-class was shocked into silence, you could probably of heard a pin drop before a deafening roar of shouts and cheers were heard, one was more confused than others though
"Wha- ho…how did they do that" Leo said to himself as he stands up.
"Who taught them how to do magic," he says in disbelief, I just chuckle to myself till I hear the C-class speak up
"Oh, do you think your hot shit eh? Ahahahaha, ahahahaa, ahahhaaaaa" he says getting crazier and crazier as he cackles to himself
"WAVE MAGIC: BOOST" he puts his hands behind his back and jets forwards kicking Braun in the stomach, and punching Ria in the face
Both are sent flying backwards before he jets forwards again punching them both in the gut sending them faceplanting towards the floor
"And that's what trash gets" he says standing up heavily panting
Leo stands up, breathing out a sigh of relief, ready to call the match
"And th-"he's cut off as he hears a sigh and 2 people getting up, both with just a few scratches on them
"That's gonna leave a mark" Braun says stretching his back.
"You alright Ria" he ask's helping her onto her feet
"Y-yeah," she says dusting herself off
"Let's finish this" they both say at the same time by accident, looking at each other and smiling
Braun runs forward pulling out an ice card from his deck, sliding forward and keeling down he throws the card
"ICE FLOOR" he says sending it skidding under the C-class who had been too baffled by them getting up to even move, he sees the card but too late as he begins to move, to only slip and fall on his back
Braun stays in the crouched position and from behind Ria runs at full pace and plants both her feet on his shoulders and uses him to propel herself into the air before putting her arms into a cannon position
Me knowing whats about to happen, I smile
"Bomb's away," I say smirking, people looking at me confused
Slowly a cannon made of snow forms in Ria's hands
"SNOW CANNON" she shouts a large ball of snow shoots out of the cannon towards the floor where the C-class occupied it.
"Shit"
*BOOM*
A massive dust cloud cover's the arena after the attack, murmurs spreading around the crowd, mostly about what had happened, about the two using magic, and who had won, too which I already knew and known from the start
The dust cloud settled after a few more seconds and a following erupting cheers erupted signifying the winners, who were admittedly bruised and scraped but perfectly okay otherwise.
Braun and Ria stood triumphant, tears brimming their eyes, they had won a fight for the first time in their life, for the first time in their life people, we're proud of them, they weren't trash anymore, to these people they were amazing, hero's even.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS" A certain lion screamed marching over to them, his magic power flaring to a high degree
"WHERE DID YOU LEARN MAGIC LIKE THAT" he shouts, getting a better look at him, he looked dishevelled, his hair where he had run his fingers through looked a mess.
"Wh-what sir" Braun panicked the magic power was getting to him
"Si-sir I can't breathe" Ria spoke up, holding her throat…which had Leo's hand around it
A look of shock was all that could be seen on everyone's face, Braun had fallen to the floor on his knees
"WHERE DID YOU LEARN IT" he raised his fist activating his Regulas and went to punch Ria…
"What a pain"
A gust of wind pushed the spirit back, skidding to a stop his arm of over his face, he had only seen a flash of pink and before he was sent flying back, the said spirit looks to his hand to see the girl... gone and a very noticeable gash up his arm, blood pouring out of it
He gritted his teeth and put his other hand around the gash holding the blood in, he looked up to see the back of the student he oh so hated
Natsu put Ria down as she coughed out some spit
"You go help Braun up, I'll deal with him" I said patting her on the head smiling at her, though as I get up to go confront the spirit again, she grabs my arm
"You ca-cant he-he'll kil-kill y-you" she says through coughs and stutters
I again kneel and pat her head again smiling
"Don't worry I can take him" she lets go confused, so I stand up and begin to walk away
The whole class was looking back and forth to where I was just stood confused as to how I had gotten there so quick
"So Leo, you are taking this out on people weaker than you now, I didn't know Celestial spirits had fallen so far" I say prodding at him, smirking the entire time, I take my jacket off and throw it to a student in the crowd, I unbutton my wrist buttons on my shirt and roll my sleeves up
Leo hasn't spoken up he was looking at the gash on his arm his bangs covering his face, I decided to prod more
"Do you wanna know where they learnt magic?" I ask him, to that he looked up his eyes dripping with spite, he clenched his jaw and spoke
"Where" he breathed out trying and failing to control his anger
I smirk and light my hand on fire
"I taught them" The whole of F-class jaws dropped as they stare at me, smirking like a mad man at well… a mad man
He takes a few seconds thinking about it before smirking himself
"I despise you Natsu" he said activating his magic
"Feelings mutual Leo" I say not moving, just staring at him
"no actually…I HATE YOU" he says as he jumps towards me at blistering speeds
"REGULAS IMPACT" he put his full power into this, he wanted to kill this F-class student, he wanted him to die
"NATSU" Ria and Braun shouted, a few F-class students joining their cries, while the rest watched on in horror
*BOOM*
A massive dust cloud 5x the size of Rias one covered the arena again…that was until a massive gust of wind cleared it
And to everyone's surprise in the middle, there was Natsu his bangs covering his eyes and in his palm the spirits first, while his other arm was made into a swipe position, that hand had cleared the field
Leo watched on in horror at the boy who he had excreted so much bloodlust for that he was sure some teachers felt it
"Wh-what a-are y-you" he asked his arms shaking, he was about to pull away until he was stopped when Natsu slowly wrapped his hand around his fist holding it in as vice-like grip
Natsu looked up his bangs covering one of his eyes, he looked at Leo through his one eye, the eye that was Blood red, the eye that made Leo fall to his knees in submission.
The killer intent Leo had put out was like a raindrop in the sea compared to this
"Your worst nightmare" his voice bordering on something that made Leo almost pass out
*CRACK*
Leo went wide-eyed as pain coursed through his body, he didn't know where the pain was from, so when he looked up at his arm, he screamed at the top of his lungs as he saw his arm pointing backwards, the bone protruding from out his elbow, blood spurting out of his elbow.
"AHHHHHHHHHH" he screamed for a few seconds before standing up and running away
"FUCK THIS I QUIT" he said fading into the spirit realm.
A few F-class students were stood still faces pale white from seeing me bend back a man's arm, well for them it would have looked normal one second then the next it was backwards, a few looked around unsure of what to do, I few were cheering that in their words 'that bastard was gone'
I walk over to Braun whose head was sat in Ria's lap; I gave him a strange look because I knew he could very easily get up
"Told you I could take him" I say smirking at Ria
"J-just how strong are you Natsu" she says giving me the stare she always does when she asks me this question
"You'll find out one day" I say smiling still
She sighs before speaking "I'm never gonna get an answer to that am I" she smiles and looks down at Braun
"Natsu's I'm gonna get you for making us fight that C-class" Braun says pouting up at me, hmm…
"Hey Braun, I know full well you can get up, so why are you sat in Ria's lap hmmm?" he immediately blushes and stand's up in milliseconds, before bowing to Ria
"I'm very sorry I forgot; I was too busy watching Natsu be awesome" he shouts his face still beat red
"I-its ok-okay Braun" Ria admits looking at her hands, her face was also beet red
"So anyway enough with romantics, what should we do now we don't have a teacher for Spell casting" before either of them could protest the first part of what I had said, they both light up and turn to each other again seemingly talking with each other through eye contact, before turning to me and speaking
"Why don't you teach our class N-a-t-s-u" they both shout spelling out my name, so all of F-class could hear them
"Wh-what?" I ask, although I should have seen it coming 'Professor Natsu' I think to myself
"I mean look how powerful we are with only a week of training, with no training done in class" they again both shout, most of F-class now crowding around us some nodding their heads other are looking at the damage and then back to me
"Imagine we could do training while in lesson, we may actually get somewhere in the Class battle" they both say now jumping all about the place exaggerating their movements
To that comment all of F-class begin to cheer and shout my name
"Come on Natsu I wanna learn magic like them" "yeah I wanna do something with my life, I wanna fight back" a massive torrent of comments and requests all fly at me
"FINE" I shout now outside of the circle everyone looking back at forth between where I was and where I am,
"I'll teach you, and were not just gonna beat D-class, or C-class, no were going all the way, were going to win the class battle!" I shout, a massive shout of 'yeah's and hell yeah's' come flying at me.
"Okay then" I smirk looking at the class of 150 or so
"Let's begin"
Sorry there was no chapter for a couple of days, I watched plastic memories and was just in a state of nothingness for like 2 days so apologies, hope you enjoyed and leave a review to tell me what I could do better
