"let's begin"
After the events of the mock battles, the class had two periods of Magic theory which dragged on extremely slowly, much to Natsu's dismay, for the last two lessons of the day F-class had spell casting.
"Hey Natsu, you wanna get lunch with me and Ria?" asked Braun gesturing his thumb towards the door where the said girl was.
"Nah I gotta go talk to someone about the whole teacher thing, just to make sure we don't get put with some dimwit of a teacher again" I say standing up walking towards the door, smiling at Ria as I leave

The staff office was a building separate from the main building, so it was a decent stroll as I walk across the campus gardens a long pathway with trees lining the down the whole path, with a few intersections' splitting of leading to small ponds and seating areas, hundreds of students currently occupied this area as it was lunch.
As I continue walking down the path, I eventually find myself at the staff building, as I enter, I'm met with a large reception area, not many people were in due to it being lunch, but I could smell Irene the women I was here to see, I walk up to the desk where a woman is sat filing some papers, I cough into my hand to get her attention
"*ahem*" she looks at me with a bored look on her face, she continues to stare at me looking me up and down, that is until she looks back down and continues filling more papers.
"Go away F-class," she says not even bothering looking at me, she points towards a sign on the left of me, I turn my head to look at it
'Staff will not help F-class in any way, shape or form'
'I forgot about Makarovs little speech at the end of the ceremony, this will be a pain' I think rolling my eyes to which the receptionist see's
"I'm sure that Miss Belserion would happily make some time for little o'l me" I say putting my elbow on the desk and smiling at her, oh you can just see the disgust in her eyes when I say that she stands up slamming her hands on the desk
"Who are you to speak to me like that, or even dare request the presence of Miss Belserion!" she says her voice rising towards the end of the sentence, she sits back down with a 'Hmph' and proceeds to stare me down
"Well go on shoo and I won't call security, I'm sure they'll be happy enough to break a few of your bones" she says smirking, one hand on her phone
"Why don't you call Miss Belserion for me, if she doesn't come down then I will happily let your security break every one of my bones while I scream for your pleasure, hmm how does that sound" I say leaning against the desk, smirking in her face, she looks at the door, then at me, then down at the phone pausing on it for a few seconds, then back to me.
"Okay deal" she beams "oh you F-classes don't know your place" she says under her breath, she picks up the phone and presses one of the quick dial numbers, because of my enhanced hearing I can hear every ring before they stop, and someone picks up
"Hello?" a sweet voice answers…that isn't Irene's voice…That's Layla's voice
"Yeah Hi is Irene there?" she asks her eyes locked on me, and my very puzzled face
"Yep…Irene, reception" after Layla says those words, I hear a new voice coming onto the phone
"Hello, what's the meaning of the call?" she says calmly.
"Yeah, some F-class student here thinks you'd like to see him," she says her face in a shit-eating grin
"…" nothing comes out of the phone for a few seconds until she speaks up again "Do-does he have pink hair?" she asks her earlier calmness all but gone.
"Y-yeah why?" the receptionist says slightly wide-eyed
I hear a ding sound signifying the end of the call, as the receptionist puts down the phone looking at it strangely, before grinning at looking back up at me
"Didn't know who you were at all, and she even asked me to personally call security" she says not realising I heard everything… she is about to press the security button on the phone until a loud bang is heard from the upstairs door
"Shit-shit-shit" I can hear Irene chant from the top of the stairs
The receptionist looks at me and then at the door to the stairs to see it fly open, and a very confused redhead to come out from them
"Shit it really is him," she says under her breath,
"What first time I'm hearing F-class has two salmon haired students" I say standing up straight from my leaned position and walking towards her
"Wh-whats going on Lady Irene?" the receptionist asks standing up from her seat again
"Not-nothing don't write down that he visited me understood!" she says her eyes not leaving me
"Oh if you want her to forget I was here," i say walking towards the receptionist "then that's no problem" I put my hand in front of her face and clicked my finger, her hands fall to beside her waist limp and her eyes go dull
"What did you do?!" Irene shouts at me.
"I just used a short-term memory loss spell, it only works on weak people though, if so, I would have used it on you a long time ago" I say walking past her and upstairs
"I wanna talk about some stuff come on, we'll talk in your office" I say entering the door on the top floor, where Irene's office was

As I got to Irene's office she turns and speaks to me
"Now I do have a few guests in my office at the moment, so I hope you don't mind" she says opening walking towards the door
"I already know Layla's here," I say too which she looks at me for a few seconds wide eyes before I point to my ears
"I heard her answer the phone," I say rolling my eyes, to which she nods 'although I don't like seeing her, since she reminds me so much off her but whatever… wait a few?'
"Wait what did you mean by a fe-?" I'm interrupted when she opens the door to her office, a massive room with a chandelier hovering magickly above the room, the floor a gorgeous marble with a decently sized wooden desk, with a large chair facing the door of the office and a large floor to ceiling glass window looking over the campus behind it and covering at least 70% of the back wall, it was stunning, to say the least…but I had seen better, and two chairs facing away from the door, one was occupied by Layla Heartfilla and the other a smaller blonde by the name of Lucy Heartfilla…wait…huh…that's…"H-"

A random field in the middle of the country Seven
"UHHHHH, WHAT WAS SHE DOING THERE, WHY IS SHE THERE" I panic pacing about the feil-'wait why am I in a field', I think for a few seconds before releasing on complete instinct I teleported to a random country
"Ugh what a pain," I say disappearing

Irene's office Layla's POV
"Irene where is your guest, that you bolted out the room for at speed I didn't think possible for you, as your so, well, old?" I ask Irene tilting my head to the side
A low growl from Irene accompanied by a giggle from the girl next to me, cause's me myself to giggle
"I don't know what you're on about mother, you're getting up their as well" the girl next to me admits
"Lucy!" I say looking at Lucy with a slight glare, only for her to continue giggling
"Huh I swear he was stood right next to me," Irene says looking around
"Oh, it's a he? ooo do tell" I say intrigued causing Lucy to slap me on the wrist
"I jest, I jest" I say holding my hands up
Just then a loud thump from outside is heard Irene pokes her head outside and speaks
"There you are where the hell did you go," Irene says putting her hands on her waist
"Ugh be quiet will you" the person who I assume is the man she was talking about, 'Irene doesn't let anyone talk to her like that' I think my eyes widen slightly as I look to Lucy who has a similar expression
"Okay come in then," she says walking towards the desk and sitting down, yet the boy doesn't come in
"Are you gonna come in or what?" she asks again slightly annoyed, this time the boy does come in a mop of spiky pink hair come in, my eyes widen realising who it is, 'now it makes sense'
"It's you" I stand up from my seat and point at the F-class boy
"Yeah, so what?" he asks, 'I forgot about the attitude' I'm about to retort before Irene speak up
"Take a seat Natsu," she says summoning a chair
"I'm alright I won't be here long I'll stand," he says walking towards the window and staring out of it
I look to my left at Lucy to see her…staring, not a normal stare, I don't really know how to put it, but it wasn't normal, she notices me staring and looks down at her feet awkwardly 'What the fuck was that about'

Natsu POV
'AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, FUCK SHE'S RIGHT THERE, I-I WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO ERRR OKAY I KNOW' I can deal with Layla, but not Lu- but not Luc- But not Lucy, so I… completely block out my emotions, 'Much better'
"So, what do you need Natsu?" Irene asks quizzically
"I want to become the teacher for F-class spell casting," I say my eyes locked on the horizon out the window.
"Wha-what, but Loki is teaching that lesson, he won't be too happy about being fired, he loves tormenting you little shits in F-class" Layla speaks up, the last bit under her breath
"I'm not a little shit" I say turning my head slightly still not looking back, Layla doesn't speak up after my comment
"Why don't you want Loki to teach your class?" Irene asks as I look over at her my eyes not leaving her
"He quit," I say simply while turning around, my mind completely blocking out the other blonde
"What do you mean?" Layla asks staring at the floor
"He qui-"
"Why did he quit?" She interrupts me, still staring at the floor
"…" I don't say anything for a second wondering which way I should take this
"He quit because of me" I finally state, as I wait for her to question me again, I hear a set of keys being shuffled about, it wasn't Layla, and it certainly wasn't Irene, shit she's going to try summoning him
"I wouldn't summon him if I were you" I speak the blank spot finally disappearing revealing the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on, even after a thousand years, no one would come close to her, she was perfect, I felt the emotional block that I had place weaken to that of a thin line anything else would break it, and I don't know what would do, the strain of keeping my emotions nearly too much.
"And why is that?" Lucy speaks up
"Why don't you ask one of your other spirits to explain his situation" I say the line stretching further and further
"Okay I will" she states confidently 'Mavis she's perfect' the thin line stretching further and further
"I open the Gate of the Giant Crab Cancer"
Cancer comes out of the gate looking pale as a ghost
"Eb-Ebi" he states tiredly
"Cancer what's going, why do you look like a ghost?" both Layla and Lucy run to his side
"Well, Leo, he-he's been injured, and it's bad, his arm, oh spirit king his arm Ebi" he says going paler and paler
"What happened?!" Layla shouts
"I broke his arm in half, I snapped it backwards so that if he ever put his hand around anyone's throat again, he'd remember what I did to him" I say facing the window
"It's you, oh spirit king its you, he's a demon he did it, send me back please" he says curling himself into a ball before sending himself back to the spirit realm
"Wha- cancer where," Layla says "he went back on his own" lucy states
Layla stood up and sat back down in her chair
"Irene you've been quiet this whole time, who actually is he" she says, I look over to lucy to see her staring at Leo's key before putting in her pocket and following her mother and the line stretched and stretched, I have to get out of here
"You'll find out at the class battles; I assume I'm all good on the teacher thing Irene?" I ask a slight panic to my voice, which I inwardly curse myself for.
"Yes, that seems to be okay, no one gives two shits about F-class, so you'll be fine" Irene confirms
"Okay ill be going then" I say walking towards the door only to have my blazer grabbed, and the line stretched and stretched
"Hey, your name is Natsu right?" the girl asked, it stretched and stretched
"Ye-yeah" I say stuttering again
The girl walks around me till she's stood right Infront of me
"Well my names Lucy Heartfilla, nice to meet you" she beamed holding out her hand and smiling…the line had snapped…
"He-hey why are you crying" the girl asked me, that's the last thing I remember hearing before fainting

"Hey Natsu, do you ever think that I can become a star" a beautiful blonde women said pointing up to the sky
"Luce in my mind your already up there, you're the whole sky never mind a star" I say lay down looking up
"…No I mean… do you think I could be a spirit like Loke and Aquarius?" she asks looking at her hands
"What why would you want that Luce? I mean probably not, why don't you go ask old stache face" I say chuckling, I sit up and stop chuckling, she was crying tears free-falling down her face
"Luce? What's up?" I say crawling over to her and wrapping her up in a hug
"Na-Natsu it-it's because then I can l-live with you for-forever, and then I don't have to leave you alone" she says the tears not stopping
"…Luce, you know you'll nev-"
"No Natsu, it's not fair, I want to be with you forever, I want you to be happy, I'm being selfish by dying, everyone is, you're going to be all alone for Mavis know how long, and everyone you-" she stops herself before looking at me and crying even heavier
"It's not fair" she says putting her head against my chest
I let her cry for a few seconds, me myself holding back tears, knowing everything she said is true
"Lucy, look at me" she does so, tears still coming in droves "when you go, I'll be able to look up at the sky, and I'll see you, your my everything Luce, life isn't fair sometimes, it never has been, wasn't to Mavis and it wasn't to Zeref, hell even Acnologia drew a short straw, but I know ill be happy, ill always be good, ill always strive to protect everyone and do you know why, beca-because every tim-time I lo-look up ill get t-to se-see yo-you" I start crying tears pouring from my eyes, we sit hugging for a mavis knows how long before she speaks up
"Hey Natsu?" she speaks wiping her tears away
"Yeah?" I say doing the same
"I love you"

My eyes burst open, I gasp for air, and look around 'Still in Irene's office' I look back up at the ceiling
"Love you too," I say quietly smiling slightly
"Your awake finally" a voice comes from across the room 'Irene'
"You fainted," she says, to which I roll my eyes
"I can tell," I say getting up off the floor and dusting myself off
"What time is it?" Mavis if I missed my first lesson as a teacher
"Lessons start in 5 minutes, you better be off I've got to go teach S-class too, and I doubt you want to miss your first lesson?" she says simply
"He-he Nah not really" I say walking towards the door, but before I could reach the door Irene closes it
"Why did you faint?" she inquired, 'Mavis this is gonna be a pain'
"None of your business," I say not turning around, putting my hand on the door ready to pull it open
"Why is it when it comes to the Heartfilla's you always act strange?" I stop opening the door standing still for a few seconds before looking over my shoulder giving her a glare, I could see her take back what she said
"Mind. Your. Own. Business" I say pulling the door of its hinges, and walking off
"No need to be a baby about it"

Next chapter some stuff gonna go down so that'll be fun to write.
