Miss Queen B: Hello you Lovely Readers, I hope the month of November went well for you all and I really hope the Christmas Season isn't too stressful either. Yikes. Anyway Notes:
Note One: Thank you so much for the reviews for Part VII and for my latest short story "Mist." I truly, truly appreciate all the feedback, songs and recommendations for both stories and even happier to see new Readers diving into my Series for the first time. All I can say is Welcome, you're in for a real treat. :)
Note Two: After watching a Godzilla movie that wasn't part of the Monsterverse called "Godzilla vs Megagurirus", I was inspired to put Megaguirus in this chapter. In case there's any confusion and since this is written in Gojira's POV, he refer her and her kind as Dragonfly kaijus since according to the Godzilla Wiki site, she some sort of ancient Dragonfly insect. Hopefully it would make more since once you read that part of the chapter.
Note Three: As a reminder from Part I, when Gojira mention he had to kill females and their hatchings since they were sired by Ghidorah there is a scene in here Readers might feel a little uneasy about so fair warning.
Note Four: So about this chapter: Gojira takes Azure over to Boston to visit Ghidorah's gravesite. Gojira recalls the day Anguirus died and was left alone with vengeful thoughts. Years later, Gojira discovers the Fallen Star has Followers who might be the key Goji needs to track down the Fallen Star for a rematch.

(Boston)
Just like his Kingdom home, it's been nearly five years since he's been here. The place where he finally defeated the False King once and for all and even now, it still gives him an eerie vibe. It hardly looks like a City anymore with it covered in tall grass, vines, plants and flowers. All that radiation he exploded here made these plants grow like crazy. A tiny bit of guilt hit him from the site. He lost count how many times his Queen would beg him to go with her to check them out. How lovely the flowers were growing and how great softness of the grass felt. The smell and colors and the warm feeling of knowing something beautiful came out of something that started out so terrible. Only to watch her frown when he flat out told her no. Not only can he not stand flowers (The fragrances were hard on his very strong sense of smell), but he didn't want to go back to the place he considered the False King's gravesite. At the time, he didn't think much of it till that day when he confronted the stupid Parasite about her and the Bird's fight here.
(I just spotted him flying over the city where you killed the False King. Apparently, that weak-minded Fool was looking for your Queen's favorite flowers as a gift offer…)
It didn't take him long to put two and two together. The Bird's been here with his Queen. How else would he know one of her favorite flowers? There were two, one that was known by a lot of her close companions and even humans back then. Those pink ones that grew on trees...what did Mosura say they were called...Cherry Blossoms...and the one only he knew about. The Azure-blue kind humans called Morning Glory. His theory was correct when he saw that messed up pile in the Bird's beak when he came to see Azure for the first time. He snorted, hating himself for not seeing all the clues sooner, since part of him didn't think she would fall for the Bird's charm. The thought of that made him want to go back to the Muto to scream at her to finish the deal they made. He gave her the Bird's location so she could kill him, but no, the bitch got too distracted being on her back for his Companion. He fist his claws, trying very hard not to crush the spike bone he was holding before relaxing them. He took a moment to breathe before taking a few large steps into the city. Feeling the grass on his feet and the gentle breezes through the trees and vines. Any trace of his fight or any Kaiju being here were long gone. He even took the time to look around for the giant hole in the ground where he was dropped and didn't see anything. All of it was covered in vegetation.
He looked up at the sky, it was cloudy and cold yet for some reason it didn't affect the plants. The gray clouds made him ansty. Fuck, how he hated days like this since it would remind him of the countless battle between him and the False King. Storms were their way to give them field advantage. The rain would be too heavy to see clearly and they knew how to control the lightning and wind.
(You fought the Demon here?) Azure asked, walking around the plant-covered city. Taking his time sniffing the many scents of flowers and watching the tiny insects fly around lazily. His mind popping like bubbles thanks to his son's curious thoughts.
He couldn't help, but noticed how small Azure looked. The untamed, radiation-filled grass was nearly half his size, covering Azure's body from the waist down. It worried him a little about his son's size. If Azure was born before the "Big Sleep,'' they would have considered him a "Runt" and thus, not worthy to nurture and left for dead. Yet, he was born healthy, something Methuselah told him about since the Mountain Kaiju was born a Runt as well. Sure he was small, but he was healthy which is why Meth's mother fought so hard to keep him alive against all odds and look at him now. His wild guess is that with Mosura being small, the egg couldn't expand as much as it should have before she laid it. Hopefully his size will catch up to him later on in years, the last thing he wants is Azure losing to a much bigger Kaijus. Lost in thought with his eyes glued on his young son, Azure didn't even notice his staring. He was too busy touching the vines and flowers with his snout or claws while getting yellowish pollen all over his face. Everything was so intriguing to the boy since he spent all his young life on their island home. He thought about this place, the final battle and the False King and suddenly felt a very slight pang of concern. The False King and him fought back and forth for centuries. They knew him just as much as he knew them. They knew where to strike him in order for it to hurt, which is why they would go after the Queen numerous times in order to find a way to kill her permanently. He wasn't exactly innocent either. He killed a lot of their Followers and Eggs to prevent them from having Heirs, not caring about their threat that they would do the same. At the time he never wanted Heirs, nor did Mosura, but now... He let out a small growl, a way to shut him up. As far as they know the False King was gone, (They thought they were alive somewhere since they were able sense them a while back, but it's been years now and nothing), so there was no way they could harm the young Prince...
(Si-ie?)
Yes, both your mother and I fought them here. He said, calmly while lying down on the ground. Willing to endure the awful stench of flowers and greenery. He placed Ang's horn bone next to him before curling his tail around him.
(Mama was here?) Azure asked, looking over at him with his pollen smeared face. He sneezed before shaking his head to get the stuff out of his blue eyes.
He nodded, I'm sure your mother told you about this place and what happened here, Right?
(She said you defeated the demon. She didn't say she was there)
He frowns from remembering that day. He told her not to get involved. Hell, they were a few miles away from this place arguing over it. He just wanted her to stay out of the fight. He waited so long for her to come out of her hibernation and didn't want to risk her dying in battle again. At first, she stayed away, peeved from his stubbornness, because she didn't want him to forget or lose focus on their first priority, but he forgot how strong her senses were. It didn't take her long to realize he was in trouble thus was forced to intervene.
She was there. Your mother is fearless when it comes to life and death situations. Even if the Demon was nearly ten times bigger than her, she would never back down. She even saved my injured rear when I thought I was about to lose.
Azure giggled while pulling on a vine that was tangled up on a building. (I can't see you lose, Si-ie)
Granted yes, I didn't lose in the end, but there were times I nearly did. The fight here was one of those times.
Azure sneezed again before crawling on all fours in the tall grass. Making it look like he was swimming in the ocean. His bare back could only be seen as well as his wagging tail. He popped his head out and gave him a worried face. (Mama said the Demon hurt you really bad)
They did. He confessed. (In more ways than one) He thought to himself.
(Like how?) Azure asked in return.
Dammit, he sneered to himself. He really, really, needed to put up a wall with the little one. Oh you know, battle wounds and all. They bit my neck, body slammed me to the floor, I lost count how many times I was struck by lightning and worse, because I wasn't strong enough, they took your mother's life right in front of me.
(But you're really strong) Azure said, while examining some strange mushroom he found.
Not enough and it didn't help when the Demon had an ally with him….He said, not sure if he should mention who that particular Ally was...The Alley was ordered to keep your mother away while the Demon tried to kill me...He made it clear he didn't want the "Funny Bird" to be mentioned around the young Prince. The boy was already way too curious about the Fire Demon so why add more to that problem….But your mother was smart, you've seen her Stinger, it might not look much, but it can do a lot of damage. I know my Smartass mouth got me stung a few times when we first started out. She had to wait till there's was an opening and stabbed that Stupid Fool in the shoulder before pushing him off one of these large buildings. He said, looking around to see if he could find said building, but at this point it was hard to tell which one.
Azure chuckled before sitting down in front of him. (Mama's too nice) He said, finding it very hard to believe Mosura would harm another living Being.
She is, but when it comes to protecting those she loves, that's a whole different story. He said grimly. All those times she would get hurt protecting him and Scylla and now the Bird was enough to stress him out to the core. And a lot of kaijus wondered why he has a short fuse. It's easy for her to do that since she has the ability to come back from the dead.
(Mama told me. That sometimes she dies, but comes back) Azure said with a slight bit of fear and curiosity in his connection.
That sums it up pretty much, which is why she gave up her life during that fight in order for us to win.
Azure blinked, making his eyes glow. (Why?)
He huffed and got up from his spot. Making the whole place shake and Azure nearly falling over. His tail knocked over a building like it was nothing, sending dust and leaves all over the place. Without saying anything, he walked deeper into the city, scanning each spot more thoroughly than before till he spotted a large circular spot full of grass right in the middle of their surroundings. He can hear Azure catching up till he is right next to his left leg. You see this spot? He asked, pointing to the grass.
Azure nodded. (It's grass, the stuff Mama eats.)
It's also the False King's gravesite. This is where I defeated him. He said, grimly. He could tell it was the spot by the way the buildings and pile of debris shaped the outer part like a circle. Everything in the middle melted beyond recognition and now is covered in plants. Where me and your mother defeated him I should say. He added.
Azure swallowed and nuzzled closely to his leg. (Were you scared)
No….He said, slightly offended, though part of it was true, but will never say it out loud. One thing he would never admit to anymore since fear was a sign of weakness….More angry. The Demon...The False King, lifted me up into the air. His wings were strong enough to do that and dropped me. It felt like forever before I hit the ground, causing my back to break and making it hard for me to move. They landed down next to me, mocking me for being such a weak thing. Your mother….against my warning to leave, dragged herself over to me. Despite her own wounds and exhaustion, she tried to protect me and it ended up costing her life.
(Oh) Azure said before walking ahead of him till he was right in the middle of the grass circle. He turned back to face him with a small smile on his face and flickering glowing blue eyes. A quick image of the False King falling on their back with burnt wings flew across his mind and it actually made Azure flinch. A small spike of fear came from his heir before a sense of composer. (Was that the Demon?) He asked.
He paused, neither him or Mosura ever told Azure what the False King looked like. Just stories, but he didn't want to put a face with the Thing that terrorized the world millions of years ago. Why should he? It's been years now and although they had their suspicious that the False King was still alive, chances are they were most likely dead for good. Yes...and let's be glad you don't have to see them or face them in real life. Not a nice site to look at, am I right?
Azure nodded. (So he took away your friend and Mama)
He looked away, trying to swallow up all bottled up feelings from the mention of Ang. Normally death wouldn't grip him so much, but after Ang died, his life took an ugly turn. I'm surprised the thought of your mother dying doesn't frighten you?
(I'm scared, but Mama told me not to be. She comes back. No matter what) His Heir said, smiling with such confidence.
Well, let's just hope you don't see her go though that. He said, calmly. Of course, it's easy for Azure to say that, he has yet to witness it first hand. Unlike him who had to witness it many times in his life.
(Can I do that?) Azure whispered while staring at the grass.
He raised a brow, Do what?
Azure smiled, (Come back like Mama?)
His eyes bulged from the question. Azure made it sound like it was the most common thing in the world. He swallowed, not sure how to answer that since he really didn't know. Azure inherited a lot of Mosura's traits, could resurrection be one of them? I'm….not sure...and I don't want to take that risk to find out either. He said in a calm voice.
Azure shrugs, (So what happened next in the fight?) He asked, showing off Hatchlings' short attention span.
I'm sure your mother told you she had Healing powers, when she died she gave me her last bit of energy to heal me...Though it was the only way for her to help him. She knew the False King wouldn't let her heal him and they were going to kill them either way so she decided to sacrifice her life in order to give him the rest of her energy source. Not only did it healed him, her energy plus the bomb he absorbed beforehand made him release that radiation blast. Luck was also on his side since something distracted the False King long enough for him to get up while his scales cracked open from all the radiation spewing out of him….Then your Sire got angry. When the False King had their back turn, I stormed over to them, my body burning with boiling heat and fire. I fought that demon for many, many years and never thought I would see fear in their eyes as they screeched at me to stay back.
Azure couldn't help, but chuckle from him reenacting his final fight with the False King. To him, he felt silly since he wasn't the dramatic type. Why should he be? He gets enough of that shit from his Queen and their Followers. Kaiju knows it's going to get worse now that Quetz is back in the picture and pretty much The Stupid Squid's Double. Man, The Chatterbox and Mosura made it look easy to entertain Azure or any little Hatchling. Though he wasn't pretending, he was reliving it and if there was a way to show Azure that Fiery Blast, he would.
But I wouldn't stand down and after charging up, I released a huge blast of power, scorching their wings into nothing. He said, seeing his son's eyes widened in pure shock. The look on their faces when they screamed in pain before falling on their ugly butt. They tried to fight back, shooting me with their energy beams, but it didn't affect me one bit. I released another huge blast of power, taking out the Left and Right Head and causing the Middle One to beg and then your Sire walked right up to him, lifted his foot up...He said, lifting his leg up while remembering the fear in the Middle's eyes, before caving in the Asshole's chest...And crushed their chest till there was nothing, but a bright, burning light. He ended while slamming his foot down on the ground. The whole place shook, making Azure fall on his butt and the buildings around them to rumble. The last thing he remembered after that bright explosion was waking up in a pile of debris with the Middle's severe head staring at him. Not taking any chances for the False King to regenerate, he destroyed it with his beam and took a moment of silence to collect himself afterwards.
(Wow) Azure said, popping his head out of the grass again.
He snorted, feeling drained all of a sudden from all the bittersweet memories. Yes, wow. If we hurry, I can show you the Ice Place where they were buried long ago.
Azure cooed. (Can we stay longer? I like this place)
Why? I thought you hated plants? He asked. He didn't like being here long since the fragrances would make him sick.
(Not to eat, I like to look) Azure said with a smile. (We were underwater for a long time. The air feels nice)
He rolled his eyes and might as well use this to rest up and relax a bit. Alright, we'll stay for a while. Use this as a way to explore and learn to adapt without your mother hovering over you. He said.
Azure squeaked, feeling that sense of victory in his wavelength and ran off to look around some more.
0000000000
Hours passed and Azure still wasn't ready to go. The Prince was having way too much fun in this abandoned city. It was a huge place so there were so many things and spots to explore. Meanwhile, he was lying on top of the False King's "grave" while staring at the Horn Bone of his late friend. He thought about burying it here, right on top of where the False King had died as some sort of poetic justice, but wasn't sure if he wanted Ang to share this spot with that demon. If anything, he'll just stick to his old plan and bury it on his island home since he was sure no one would disturb him there like before. His thoughts were interrupted when he felt Azure tackling the side of his face with his little body while growling playfully.
(Sneak attack) Azure growled.
He didn't waste time pushing Azure to the ground on his back, getting a small squeak from the Prince, before going after his stomach with his teeth. Playfully nipping at the smooth scales while feeling the Prince's claws hitting his large snout in order to scratch his flesh. He made a mental note to get the Prince's nails sharpened when they get back home since Mosura was a lot better with the grooming part than he was. You can't sneak up on me, Brat. He said, before grabbing Azure by the tail with his teeth and lifting him up in the air. Azure screeched and kicked him as hard as he could in the jaw causing him to let the Prince go. Azure fell to the floor, nearly hitting Ang's horn bone, before quickly sitting up.
(Ow…) Azure said, looking back at his tail and could see a few red shallow dots forming.
You're fine. I'm always careful with my bites. He said, though making sure there wasn't any blood just to be on the safe side. Having fun?
Azure nodded only to frown. (You keep looking at your friend.) He said, pointing at the Horn bone next to him.
I was just thinking. It's been a long time since his Passing, but to me, it still feels fresh. He said, sighing. Someone like him is very hard to forget. After he died, everything changed for me and I realized I was all by myself again.
(You still had Mama and the other friend) Azure said, trying to stay positive.
He blinked and felt like his throat wanted to close up from his innocent words. Sure….He said, only to hear Azure's stomach growl.
Azure placed his claws on his belly and began to whine. (Hungry.)
There's plenty of food here. He teased.
The Prince shook his head quickly and pouted. (Squid? I'm tired of whale)
If you want a squid, we need to go down to the dark depths of the ocean again and it will take a longer time to get one than a whale.
Azure sighed from the thought of going back underwater. (Too tired and hungry to swim) He said before sitting down.
In order for us to get a squid, we need to go back underwater. He said, feeling like they were in a loop. Life is tough that way, sometimes you need to drag yourself through the tiredness and pain to get what you want.
Azure groaned and looked like he was too nervous to say what was on his mind.
What is it? He asked. The Brat should know by now he doesn't like to play guessing games.
Azure cleared his throat and looked at the ground. (Can...Can I...stay?). Already preparing himself for a loud "No" or something worse.
Stay? He asked.
Azure nodded. (I won't leave. I'll stay right here) He said, not wanting to look at him. Perhaps scared he might yell from a risky request.
You know your mother would kill me if I left you alone even for a minute. He said, though Azure staying wouldn't be a bad idea. It would sure cut his hunting time down in half and give him some little breathing room to get a hold of himself. Looking for Ang's bones was forcing him to bottle up some emotions he didn't want Azure to see. He looked around the abandoned city, the humans made it clear they weren't coming back and he knew none of the other kaijus knew they were here…
(Please) Azure said, looking at him with his glowing eyes.
He snorted while getting up from the floor. Leaving a large imprint in the grass and began to shake his body to get the blood flowing. Alright, you can stay while I go get something for us to eat. He said, cueing his Son to beam in happiness. Consider this another test to see how well you can do without me or your mother around, but you will stay in the city and if there's any danger you will hide and contact me. Got It! He demanded.
Azure nodded. (I'm brave) He said, crouching down to look scary.
He tssk. You're a Prince, stand tall, that's how you show others who's the Alpha.
(Oh, Ok.) Azure said.
Alright, I'll be back soon. Get some rest in the meantime. He said, before turning around to head back into the ocean. Damn, if Mosura was around no doubt would be having a panic attack and wish on his lucky star Azure wouldn't contact her while he was away. He swallowed. Feeling nervous leaving him behind, but they were in a safe place and it will only be for a short while.
(Bye Si-ie) He heard Azure say.
When he was half way in the water, he looked back to see Azure roaming around in the grass to find a nice soft spot to rest, before submerging himself underwater. Now that he was alone, he took off at full speed to the nearest Seamount he could find. It didn't take him long to find one close by and didn't hesitate to ram his face and body against it. The impact made the Seamount shake while sending a force wave across his surroundings. The sea creatures around him scattered quickly to get away from him or to hide. He lifted his head away from the rock wall to rest his forehead on it and growled.
Ang...He whispered, letting all the feelings he bottled up come out. Feeling that sense of anger knowing there was nothing left of his companion, but a tiny horn bone Azure managed to find. It felt like he couldn't breath, causing his gills to flare up from the stress. Maybe it was a mistake to take Azure to his companion's grave, but at the time, he didn't expect all the hurt to come back with it. His fault, really, since he had a hard time dealing with it back then, how would it be different now? He punched the wall and took a deep breath through his gills to calm himself. Things were never the same….I was never the same...He whispered.
He closed his eyes, remembering that fight with the False King that cost Ang his life. Even when they were losing, Ang still kept a positive outlook on it. He was so sure with the two of them, they were going to win. Then it happened, he remembered being too weak and exhausted to reach Ang in time when the Right Head reached down and grabbed Ang by the neck. The Right then lifted him up from the ground while Ang struggles to free himself. The Right ended up tossing Ang away from them, tearing a large chunk of flesh and skin out in the process. Ang fell hard to the ground, a large puddle of blood began to form around him and didn't move. He tried to go to him, but was swatted back by the False King's massive wing. The last thing he saw was Ang struggling to get up before getting blinded by a flash of light in the sky. At the time he didn't know it was Mosura, but it did the trick. The False King couldn't see and that gave her enough time to fly down and rescue them. He remembered taking a few steps back, hearing Mosura asking Ang if he was alright only for Ang to tell her to take him away because it was too late for him.
(No, take him. I'll buy you time, but it's too late for me….) Ang's final words to him.
After that, everything felt like it was melting all around him. He just recalled sitting on the ground while feeling Mosura crawl all over his back and sides, trying to seal up the deep cuts and bites with her silk. He still couldn't see, so he didn't protest about her patching him up. He was surprised to see her especially after their last encounter when he left her after she confessed her true feelings to him. It was hard for him to think with his head feeling so lightheaded. He lost a lot of blood and felt like everything inside was broken or bruised. It wasn't till Rodan showed up when reality hit him….hard…
Normally, if the Bird saw him bloody and beat-up he would say a smartass remark or a fat joke, but instead…
00000000
(Flashback)
Where's Ang? The Bird asked, looking back at the storm clouds that were miles away. There was no smug or pissed off look on the Bird's face. He actually looked frightened as if he could sense the tragedy and coldness around them. Mosura pulled something sharp out of a flesh wound causing him to hiss.
Stay still, you have a couple of teeth in here. He heard her say while her large wing gently glided across his face. Her voice sounded low and unusually bitter for some reason.
Where's Ang? Rodan said again, slightly raising his voice.
It felt like he couldn't speak. The anger and guilt were slowly building up inside him; it felt like his mouth and throat were burning. That demon from the sky was a lot stronger than the last time they fought...stronger, faster, meaner….more evil. They were losing badly, he can still hear Ang yelling at him to use his Beam, encouraging him not to give up, but for some reason his beam didn't want to work. He tried so hard-
Dammit, Fatass, where's Ang! Rodan shouted, finally facing him with black smoke spewing out of his fiery wings.
He made a face and that was enough to make Rodan's eyes grow wide in fear.
Oh Kaiju, don't tell me you and Ang went up against that Thing!? He told me he wouldn't get involved. Where is he? Is he still over there!? Rodan shouted, getting closer to him and even causing Mosura to hide behind his back.
He put his head down, eyeing the burn marks on his legs and arms and sighed. He didn't make it, Rodan. He said quietly, even being nice by calling the Bird by his real name.
All went quiet with Rodan staring at him and Mosura trying to hide her tears and sniffles. What do you mean he didn't make it? Rodan asked.
His head shot up from the bird's stupid question. He didn't make it, Rodan. He told Mosura to help me escape while he distracted them.
Ang could still be over there then! He is probably wondering where the hell his companions are!
Mosura interrupted him, Rodan, I'm sorry, but-
He's dead, Rodan! That Demon made it clear, no one was getting out alive! He shouted, trying to get up, but fell back down miserably. Hearing some of Mosura's silk tear.
You don't know that! You left like a coward! How in the world would you know if he's dead!
Coward!? Where the fuck were you?!
Ang had me flying around looking for your stupid Ass because he was worried about you! Always putting you first than anyone, including him and this is how you repay him! He could still be out there and-
HE'S DEAD! There was no way around it. He had a fatal-
Rodan swatted him in the face with his sharp claws, those horrible flames nearly hitting his wounded eye. Ok, he'll give the bird that one because of the shitty situation. He didn't even bother wiping the blood away as it started to drip down his cheek. Mosura was horrified and flew between them.
Rodan, that was uncalled for!
Rodan growled. Shut up! He shouted at Mosura and him before taking a step back. Clearly trying so hard not to cry or show the helplessness over Ang. You left him there. You two saved each other, but left our friend to die! Have you completely lost your mind?!
He chose to stay! He had a fatal wound to his neck! He shouted, trying to move again.
Rodan didn't know what to think as Msoura flew over to him and tried to comfort the Bird, but Rodan pushed her away. Don't touch me! He squawks before flying up into the air. Great, Rodan chose the worst time to act like a dramatic female. It should've been you, not him! Rodan screamed at him before flying away. He stayed quiet after hearing that because part of it was true. If he could trade places with Ang he would and most likely would've died along with him if it wasn't for Mosura.
Speaking of Mosura….
His eyes darted over to her who went back to examining his wounds and health with this hurt look in her eyes. No doubt still hurt from their last encounter. Once she was done, she just looked at him with this expressionless face, again not saying anything to him, before turning around to fly away. She was leaving and he didn't know what to do or say to her. Instead he let out a small sigh and in a weak voice spoke. You're leaving too?
Normally, when he's in a bad state like this, she would stay, tend to him, say something to make it all better and right now, he could really use it. Instead she stopped in midair, but still didn't look at him. You made it clear you don't want me around. She said, in a very low tone. She was done. Done with him.
Speechless, he just sat there, watching her leave till she was nothing more, but a tiny dot in the sky. The low thunder from the Demon's storm drummed in the background while the sick feeling of him being alone began to sink in. A minute later, he blacked out.
000000000
When he woke up, it was raining once again and he was in horrible pain. For a moment, a small moment, he thought it was all a dream. A sickening dream, but a dream no less that he picked himself up to look around for his companion.
Ang? He said, before hissing from pain shooting up his arm. He looked down at his right arm to see the web of silk covering a large gash on it. Seeing the pure white silk blotched with blood brought him out from his trance. Ang?...
He didn't want to do it, but was compelled no less to go back to see if there was anything left from that brutal battle. Slowly walking in the rain with his tail heavily dragging behind, his mind was racing, telling him not to go, he knew in his head and heart Ang was gone, so does he really need to see it to verify? His legs weren't listening, they just kept walking, taking him back to the place where he and Ang fought, already smelling the stench of blood in the rain and noticing the craters and black burn marks from the Demon's lightning on the ground.
(Don't do it…) His mind begged. (Turn around)
I can't….
(You're not going to like what you see…)
Maybe the bird was right...perhaps he's still-
(He's not. You saw the wound...Ang knew he wasn't going to make it)
I need to know! He shouted though it was muffled by the rain.
He stopped when he spotted the body, lying in a pool of blood and rainwater meters away with the Demon long gone at this point. From the looks of all the wounds and burnt flesh, they torture Ang before tearing off his companion's head. The Middle One told him at the beginning of the fight they were going to tear off his head since he did it to them first. Sure enough just a tail-length away rested the severed head, facing down in a small puddle of pinkish water. Those once happy sun-colored eyes were rolled back and most of his horns on his head were chipped or cracked. He just stared at the body, not caring that the raindrops were hitting his eyes and rolling down like tears.
You…..He took a step back, feeling his chest tightening and his throat restricting from the anger and grief….Idiot...He finished, not sure if he was saying that to Ang or himself. How...how...how could this happen? He was gone, Anguirus was really gone and it was all his fault! Ang gave up his herd and family to be there for him, looked out for him, kept his sorry ass from starving and getting killed from numerus Predators and what did he do in return? He would yell at him, snap at him, fight with him and stress him out when it came to fighting with the damn Bird. They were together for many, many years and went through so much to survive and live to see another day even though his negative attitude told him otherwise and all it was taken away by some Thing from the sky!?
Why did you let me live!? He shouted, taking more steps back.
The anger was making him lose grip on his common sense. His mind telling him over and over again it wouldn't have matter, the wound was fatal, Ang knew that-
It doesn't matter! He screamed, stomping his feet. Feeling his plates glowing and burning the tender skin on his back and the inside of his chest. Dammit! How could you do this to me! How could you let me live knowing I'll have to live WITHOUT YOU!
He gripped his head with his sharp claws, digging the points deep into his flesh till they were scraping his skull. The fight began to replay in his mind causing him to shake his head violently to block the images, but they wouldn't. All he could see was the Demon laughing and grinning with their blood stained teeth. The three pairs of reddish eyes looking back at him. Ang lying there beaten and dying right in front of him. His eyes started to glow, feeling the burning sensation of his Curse building up in his throat…
He threw his head back and screamed. Shooting that powerful beam his Sire once showed him right up into the stormy sky. The gray clouds parted quickly from the force while making the ground beneath him rumble. He shut his mouth and began to heave. His tongue and throat felt raw from his blue beam. Not caring of the pain, he screamed again, roaring loud and hard, sending another uncontrollable beam across the land, not giving a damn if he hit some unlucky kaiju or a group. The beam went on and on, hitting mountains and large trees with exploding results. He was pissed. He tried to use this power on the Demon, but he couldn't make it work on his time and now he didn't know how to stop it. He shut his mouth again, only to have the blunt force of it shoot out of his snout, making his nostrils bleed heavily. He quickly turned around to avoid hitting Ang's body with it and released it once again. Aiming close to the ground this time and letting it create large, deep trails in the dirt. The wounds all over his body begin to reopen with his inner flesh glowing bright blue just like his eyes and plates, melting away Mosura's sticky silk. He finally fell to his knees, fisted his paws hard to the point his nails pierced his palms and slammed them down to the ground. Mud splattered all over his chest and face, but he didn't even notice as he sat there to slow down his breathing. The light in his plates and eyes began to dull, a clear sign he was empty and needed to recharge if he wanted to do that again. He was done. The entire inside of his mouth was raw and burned and it was hard to swallow due to the tenderness in his throat. His snout was still bleeding, he could see the large droplets falling and soaking into the dirt.
He growled, refusing to shed tears. I'll make them pay…He whispered. His voice hoarse from the pain. One way or another, I'll make them pay…..

Years passed and the world wasn't getting any better with the Fallen Star around. From the looks of it, they were here to stay and slowly turning the world into their liking. He hardly saw Flocks, Packs or Herds anymore, just a few kaijus roaming around broken in more ways than one. It was the same story from the survivors. Their home would get invaded by the Fallen Star and were forced to watch helplessly as they killed their Alpha, Betas and all the younglings. The rest would have a choice to either kneel to them or die alongside their leader. Those who didn't were killed instantly and the remaining ones were spared for the meantime. Though the Fallen Star warned them not to betray them since they will keep them closely watched. It seems like with each kaiju he would come across, the worse the rumors and stories would get. He talked to a lone Sloth kaiju once, the only survivor of his herd due to the Fallen Star mistaking the Sloth for dead. Though the pitiful mammal was so broken, he thought death would have been a better fate. Not only did the Fallen Star shattered his tusks and killed his entire herd, but they took his daughter away. He overheard the Right head telling the female how pretty she looked when fearing for her life and wanted to keep her. That was months ago and he never saw her again.
He didn't want to hear anymore, but forced himself to listen in order to gather any information about the Fallen Star. After the Fallen Star killed Ang, they disappeared once again and he didn't know where to start when it came to finding them. His Senses were good when it came to tracking down kaijus, but they were different. It seems like they knew how to mask their scent and erase themselves from the world in order to recover. So he was left with asking any kaiju for clues. It was very depressing, but he didn't have much choice. A bittersweet irony if you'd asked him since Ang tried so hard to get him to be more social and look at him now.
He finally caught a break when he was resting by the shoreline one gloomy evening night. He was tired, both physically and mentally, but was trying so hard not to sleep. His dreams were bad, even worse now since he was alone. He was so used to waking up from a nightmare to find Ang sleeping next to him or staying up all night to keep watch. The nights Ang were up, he would ask him about his night terrors. What was it that was keeping a male so powerful and fearless from having a good night sleep. Before it would be the same dream he had when he was a Hatchling. Watching his Parents go after the giant parasite and never coming back. Now it was just him watching Ang die over and over again with Rodan shouting at him that should've been him not Ang. That should've been his head torn off, not their companion that's held everything together.
And then there was that other dream that wouldn't leave him alone.
He slowly closed his eyes, drifting away by the sounds of the gentle waves, only to see Mosura appearing in his mind. Her back facing him with her wings dulls from despair. She wouldn't look at him, no matter how many times he tried to change it.
(You made it clear you don't want me around)
Her voice echoed all around him as she flew off never to be seen again.
(You made it clear you don't want me around)
(...Want me around….)
He snapped his eyes open and rubbed them with his claw and decided to skip another day of sleep so he could avoid seeing the Moth again. He didn't know why he was still thinking about her. Or why it was bothering him that she never came back after leaving the way she did. He didn't care about the Bird leaving, there was really no point for them to stay together since they never got along in the first place, as far as he knows, the Bird was either bothering another kaiju or dead, but Mosura? He sighed and couldn't help, but looked up at the sky to see maybe, just maybe, he would spot rainbow color wings. Only to be disappointed once again. If he wanted to be honest, he was stunned she didn't come back to see him. He was mean to her before and pushed her away countless times and she would always come back. He lost count how many times he would complain to Ang and the bird how he wished she would just leave him alone even with Ang telling him to give her a chance because he could tell the fondness and love the Moth had for him. He didn't listen nor wanting to believe a female could love him for him. It shouldn't matter anyway, she was gone so he got what he wanted….
So why did he feel so empty inside?
His tired eyes spiked open when he was some movement in the water close by. A few seconds later, a male squid kaiju appeared and from the looks of it, the male just came from a fight by the way he was wobbling his way out of the water and there were noticeable cracks and chipped injuries all over his legs and body. A few of his tentacles were torn off and his large shell was caved in. The male glanced at him which he repaid with a warning growl. He wasn't in the mood for confrontation.
The Male just huffed tiredly, Don't mind me, I'm just here to die. He said, like it was no big deal.
He blinked, slightly amused by the Male's blunt tone. He could be cruel, he wanted to be cruel, but didn't have it in him to say anything. Despite the male being wounded, he kept his guard up no less.
The Male collapsed and just laid there. He coughed, Not much of a talker, are you?
That struck a nerve since Ang said the same thing when they started traveling together. He mentally groaned to himself, if Ang was here, he would talk to the male and try to make things all better while he stayed in the background observing. Then Ang would nag him about not socializing and making the air around them tense. With that in mind, he took a deep breath and tried to look like he cared. Bad brawl? He asked, figuring the male being young might have been in a fight for either space or a female.
The Squid shook his head. My Brother-Pack was ambushed. I was the only survivor as far as I know.
He felt a sharp sting in his chest. The Demon?
The Male's half opened eyes looked at him. The Demon? He asked, tiredly.
He picked himself up and rushed over to the dying Squid. Hovering over him, he growled, The Golden One with the three heads! The one that came from the sky. Were they the ones who ambushed your pack?!
The Squid took a deep breath….The Fallen Star, you mean….He took another deep breath, struggling to stay awake. He could actually hear the gurgle sounds in the Squid's breathing. And no….it wasn't them….it was one of...their….Betas.
He titled his head to the right, confused by his words. Betas….
Yes. They're getting Followers….Willing ones...Females, I tell you….they love those strong Alphas...I had to watch my Fellow Brother kill one of our females….for doing the Unthinkable...she was carrying that Monster's eggs in her…
His eyes widened, but still kept a firm face. There are kaijus out there joining the Fallen Star's alliance….and willing to carry their young?! Who are they?
There's many.
I just need one. If I find their Beta, I'll find them.
You'll end up like me….The Male said, using his very weak tentacle to point at his many wounds.
You said it was their Betas that did this to you. He sneered, thinking the blood loss was making the male say anything just to get pity from him.
Who do...you think...send them. When the Fallen Star found out that my Fellow Brother killed their young, he sent his Beta and her colony after us.
Colony? He asked. The only kaijus that come from Colonies were the bug types with the Parasites being the largest and most troublesome. Did the Parasites join forces with the Fallen Star?
The male shook his head. No…the Dragonfly Queen...I don't know what made her do it, but she joined them not too long ago. Her Colony is huge, nearly as big as Prime's...He started to cough, spraying blood.
The Dragonfly Kaiju's….Oh, he heard of them when he nearly entered their nesting area long ago. He would've been attacked, if it wasn't for Ang pushing him back. Telling him they use kaijus' energy as a food source and with him glowing and pulsing, they would've see him as a delicious meal. A meal worthy of sacrificing many of their kind for their lovely Queen to feed and produce eggs. Energy like the one stored in him would give the Queen a batch of very powerful grunts. That was probably the reason the Fallen Star wanted them as an Ally, many to spare and used for their own gain and in return, the Fallen Star was probably letting the Dragonfly Queen harvest some of their energy for eggs. With that in mind, he turned around to walk away.
Hey…don't...be...stupid...The Male said in a weak voice.
If I find the bug, I will find them. He said again, not even looking back at the dying kaiju.
You're going to...get yourself...killed….
I know what I'm doing. I fought them before, a few years back. He said, getting irritated by all the Male's questions.
You're making….a...big...mistak-
He turned his head back and growled at the male, not giving a damn to show pity. He killed my friend! Beat him to death before tearing off his head like nothing! I will make them pay for what they did! He snorted before turning back to walk away. There was no way he was going to miss this opportunity.

It took a few days, the Nest Location was in a more secluded area like all bug colonies, but he finally got there. He was tired since he didn't stop to rest or eat, but ignored it when he spotted his destination. Their nest was on a giant cliffside with hundreds of holes drilled into the rock to form some sort of hive. The top part of the cliff didn't have much life, just rocks with a few patches of grass. At the bottom was just dry wasteland with leftover bones of kaijus scattered everywhere. A small gust of dirt flew by him as he stared down at a skull that was half-way buried in the sand. Most particularly at the small hole embedded on top of the skull's head and sighed bitterly at it. The Dragonfly Queen was responsible for that kaiju's death. The Dragonfly Kaijus has stingers like Mosura, but unlike her, they love to use them. Their venom had different side effects though. Unlike Mosura, who can paralyze kaijus for a brief period, the Dragonfly kaijus' venom will give their victims illusions and not the good kind either. He recalled Ang helping Rodan get over the side effects after getting stung. The idiot was trying to take one down for food and ended up getting stabbed in the leg and started to see things that weren't there. Ang literally had to hold Rodan down all night to keep the bird from harming himself or them since "knocking him out" was not a good idea. That was their way the colony works, the Grunts would keep their victim distracted long enough for the Queen to stab and absorb their life away.
He stood there, far enough away from the nest, but still able to see them coming in and out of their Honeycomb-like caves and flying around in the sky. Part of him wanted to turn around and leave, but the image of Ang's headless body appeared across his mind and forced him to move forward. As he got closer he could see the dragonflies in the air looking down at him, some even circling, the first step Flyers and Bugs would do before attacking while the others began to peek out from their caves. He could hear the hum of their wings getting closer which mean they were getting closer as well.
He swallowed, and looked up to see a few of the Grunts hovering above him, their long tails already pointing at him with their stingers. He lifts his leg up to bring it down as hard as he can to create a large earthquake. The ground shook violently, causing their nest to vibrate and the swarm to fly out of all their little caves. Not the brightest way to get their attention, but it worked when the Dragonfly Queen came out from the cave on the very top of the cliffside. He cringed from the sight of the dragonfly, ugly thing compared to what he was used to seeing. She didn't have the pure white fluff, soft blue eyes or the endless rainbow colors wings, instead she had purple and green bumpy skin and thorns, red eyes and jagged, nearly see-through wings. She grins, showing off all her sharp teeth with drool dangling from her mouth, before flying over to him with her Grunts separating to give her room.
My, My, this is a surprise visit. It's been a while since we had a nice, large meal. She said, smiling while her Grunts giggled all around them.
With a firm face, he took a step towards her and could already pick up the foul scent of the Fallen Star on her. Sorry to spoil your meal time, but this visit regards a more personal matter. He said.
The Dragonfly Queen tilted her head before flying around him like a predator eyeing her prey. A stupid way to strike fear in him. Oh really, I don't recall pissing off a lizard kaiju then again most of my visitors end up like a pile of bones once my offsprings get a hold of them. So many mouths to feed and not enough food. She whispered while flying very close to his face. Did my offsprings tear apart a Love One of yours or did we dine on more tender flesh of a Hatchling?
He swatted her away only to get a small chuckle out of her, her Grunts getting closer to him in retaliation. He had to make sure to keep calm, unlike Mosura, they wouldn't hesitate to use those stingers on him. No, it's about something more disgusting than that.
Oh really, well then, Lizard. You have my attention. The Dragonfly Queen smirked while floating in front of his face.
I'm here because I know you're close to the Fallen Star.
The smile on the Dragonfly Queen faded while her eyes started to glow. I see and are you here to kill me because of it. Did that Purple Bitch my Master keeps as their Whore send you here to get rid of the competition for their affection? Boy, was she mad when My Master selected me as their other female Beta.
I don't give a kaiju's ass about your problems with those other stupid females. No doubt once the Fallen Star is done with you and them, they will kill you.
I'm very valuable to their plan for world domination and in return, they will help me create a powerful colony that even that Parasite Prime will have to kneel before me. She said, with a grin before flying away from him and giving him a small breeze of heat and her foul stench.
Not going to happen and I'm going to make sure of that so you will tell me their location so I can cave in all three of their heads.
You're not allowed to talk to me like that. You're not some Alpha, Lizard and I don't think my Master will appreciate it either. She said, swaying her tail back and forth so he could see her stinger.
He growled, making his plates glow bright and getting the Dragonfly kaijus' attention. He may be calm, but he was losing his patience with the bug.
What is this? Dragonfly Queen asked, flying around to get a better look of his back plates. You're a rare specimen just like my Master. Not as powerful, but close enough for me to have an energy boost.
Tell me where they are? He asked in a more demanding tone.
And why should I? Why would I betray the one I love? She asked, giving him a look of pity. I mean if it's the other way around would you snitch on the One you love?
His demeaner darken from the question. Filthy bug, she was toying with him. Well, too bad your little psycho babble isn't going to work on me. I have no attachments. He said with a smug look.
The Dragonfly Queen chuckled while sharpening her claws. Oh honey, you wouldn't dare enter my Nesting ground to talk to me if there wasn't someone you're trying to avenge. My Master killed thousands over the years, you won't be the first or last trying to seek revenge on them. So tell me, who was it? A loved one, a delicious hatchling or a companion of some sort?
Careful, you are stepping over a line you will regret crossing. Now cut the Bullshit and tell Me where I can find them.
She stared at him with a wicked smile before making clicking sounds to her Grunts. They proceeded to part, giving him a clear path to leave. The Dragonfly Queen giggled. If you're that eager to kill yourself, head north and when you see storm clouds as black as the night, they will be there. She said, before flying away from him.
He was no fool. Just like that? After all that talk you would give up his location that easily?
My Master loves a good fight. Besides, there's so many Betas out there protecting them. You'll be dead before you can reach them and all I have to do is send my Grunts to spread the word. She said before waving him off.
I'll make sure no one gets in my way, bug. He said, slowly taking a few steps away from the Dragonfly and her minions, his eyes scanning every single Grunt to make sure none of them makes a move.
Bug, huh? So rude. Is that how you talk to all kaijus? And here I thought you had a kinky infatuation for the insect types. I know for a fact that silly, little Moth has a soft spot for you.
He stopped, feeling his chest tighten from the word Moth spewing out of the Dragonfly's mouth, but didn't bother to look back.
Your body language is very entertaining. Is the Moth the reason you're here invading my nest?
His plates started to pulse bright and hot. He closed his eyes and once again the image of Mosura flying away played in his mind. She saved his life only to leave him.
I haven't seen the Moth around. Bad fight or something? Such a rare and pretty Thing-
He growled and continued to walk away only to hear the hum of their wings getting closer and closer.
Wow, that really shut you up. Was there more to the two of you than a companionship?
This has nothing to do with her. My companion was killed by that Demon-
The way you're acting tells me otherwise. Perhaps I should tell my Master to go after the moth. I know my Master's brothers love to tear Pretty Things like that apart for fun-
He snapped, twisting his body around to blast the Dragonfly Queen with his powerful beam. The bug didn't see it coming, getting a direct hit in the chest and sending her flying towards the cliffside. She hit the cliffside hard, creating large spider-web cracks all around her. The whole front of her body was cooked and the impact crushed her wings, making it impossible for her to fly.
She let out a low, painful cough before falling to the ground. He didn't waste time charging towards her, hearing her Grunts screeching and flying towards him at full speed. The rage in him numbs the pain of the other dragonflies tackling him and stabbing him with their stingers, trying their hardest to slow him down from reaching their Queen. Once he was close to her, he reached down and grabbed her by the neck hard, feeling his claws piercing her flesh. He slammed her against the cliffside, high enough so they could face each other eye to eye. One of her Grunts landed on top of his head, stabbing him in the shoulder, but still he didn't feel anything. Just rage, frustration and vengeance.
I'm in no mood for your games. You better not be toying with me with their location! He roared.
The Dragonfly Queen grins and suddenly feels something stabbing him in the chest. Just below his worn-out heart. He looked down to see the Queen's stinger deep in his flesh with blood dripping down. Her long tail started to glow bright blue like his radiation and realize she was sucking out his energy.
I might, but you'll never know. My heart belongs to my Master, My One and Only! She smiles.
He roared, gripping her tail with his other claws and tearing it off with all his strength. The Dragonfly Queen screeched in pain and begin to thrash around. He quickly pulled the stinger out of his chest and threw the detach tail at one of her Grunts. Despite losing a lot of blood, the Dragonfly Queen begins to attack, cutting his arm up with her sharp claws and teeth. Her horrible screeching continued, calling out for her Grunts to attack and kill the lizard who harmed their Queen. His head started to cloud up from the humming sound of their see-through wings and the Queen shouting orders to kill him. Kill him! Do it for your Queen and our loyalty to our Master!
He roared, trying to block out all the noise around him before throwing the bug to the ground and stomping on it with all his strength, crushing her head into nothing, but yellowish goo.
Now he was in big trouble, but he didn't have time to kick himself for letting his temper get the better of him when his knees buckled from the weight of all the Grunts attacking him at the same time. His tail lifted up and began to swing wildly in the air. Hitting some of the bugs and sending them flying to the ground or the cliffside. He roared again while throwing himself against the cliff, smashing some of the Grunts as easily as brittle bones. During all this, he could feel the rest of the swarm everywhere on him, stabbing him all over the place with their stingers. It's a good thing their venom wasn't fatal, but he could bleed out from the dozens of stab wounds they are inflicting on him.
Get off me! He shouted, swatting one away from biting his face. He grabbed another one with his teeth and threw it. The Bug hit three of his counterparts, sending them flying back, only to have four more flying towards him. His vision blurred and for a second he thought everything changed a different color, but he quickly shook his head to focus better. He needed space, it felt like everything was spinning and burning. He heard a loud screech and turned his head to see one of the Grunts hissing in pain after trying to bite his glowing plate. He then realized the radiation in his body was building up to the point he could see the heatwave coming off of his bright, glowing plates. He began to hack, trying to force his beam to come out again on his command, but got nothing. Dammit, he can feel the build up, the way it was flowing through his veins and the burning feeling in his back, but why won't it work. Did he use too much of it on the Dragonfly Queen?
He was hit in the face hard by one of the bugs, sending him crashing to the floor. Giving the Swarm a large opening to pile on top of him, feeling the nips and picks of their teeth instead of their stingers. He tried to crush as many as he could, but they were everywhere and he was starting to feel strange. His surroundings were blurring up and changing color again and it felt like he was floating for a second. Despite this, he grabbed hold of one of the Dragonflies before it could bite his face and was about to tear off it's head when he spotted something in the corner of his eyes.
What….
At a far distance he was a dark figure staring back at him with bright eyes. The shape of the figure's head and back covered in points was a dead giveaway.
Ang…
All of a sudden, everything started to melt, like the sun became so hot, it was literally melting the world into a watery goo. The dark figure began to disappear, reshaping into goo as well.
No, Ang! He shouted, trying to pick himself up only to be forced to the ground by the weight of the Dragonflies. Ang!
He was scratched hard in the face, spilling blood in his eyes, but he could still see the figure. Come back!
His eyes begin to glow with tiny blue flames flaring out. The nasty bugs were keeping him away from Ang.
Ang!
It wasn't till one of the Dragonflies bit him in the gills when he had enough. ANG! He turned around and blasted his beam at the swarm, turning a large portion of them into ash while the rest flew away from him to avoid death. He then aims his beam at their home, causing the whole cliffside to explode and the swarm to scatter. He didn't bother to stay to see the result, instead, he took off, waddling his way towards the dark figure from far away.
Ang…He shouted only to realize how heavy and low his voice sounded. In fact his mouth felt fuzzy. The sounds all around him grew silent with only the sound of his blood dripping off of him could be heard. He looked down, seeing tiny puddles of blood forming everywhere around him. It finally dawned on him how badly wounded he was. He was cut all over with multiple stab wounds from the bugs' stingers with the big one right in the middle of his chest. Shit…He said as everything around him started to slow down and blur. The rocks and bones around him began to multiply while the land and sky swayed back and forth like waves.
He closed his eyes and shook his head again, hoping it would turn everything back to normal, but when he opened them again his surroundings began to spin and change color. In the middle of all this weird vision, the dark figure appeared again.
Ang…He called out, his voice deep and echoing all around him. He lifted his claw up in an attempt to reach the dark figure only to faceplant the dirt with a hard thud.

~I hit you and you hit me back
We fall to the floor, the rest of the day stands still
Fine line between this and that
When things go wrong I pretend that the past isn't real
Now I'm trapped in this memory
And I'm left in the wake of the mistake, slow to react.
So even though you're close to me
You're still so distant and I can't bring you back.
It's true, the way I feel
Was promised by your face
The sound of your voice
Painted on my memories
Even if you're not with me
I'm with you.~
~With You by Linkin Park
When he came to, he was surrounded by pure darkness that he couldn't tell if he was dreaming or not. It was just pure darkness, no moon or a single bright star. For a moment, he was glad for the darkness, the perfect shade of Midnight Black in his opinion since at least now the world wasn't blurry or spinning anymore….then the pain came. First from all his bones popping then his wounds reappearing all over his body again. The sound of his scales cracking open and blood being spilled made him quickly jump on his feet. His heart skipped a beat when he heard the humming sound of those Dragonfly kaijus' wings echoing all around him.
Impossible….He thought, his eyes darting in every direction to find those damn bugs. He killed most of them and saw the rest retreating. Did they come back to finish the job?
The humming sound grew louder forcing him to bend down so he could cover his hearing with his claws. The sound was getting worse to the point he was digging his claws into his face and felt like he was losing it. They would've attacked by now, the humming was so loud they had to be right next to him, but they weren't. He didn't see the flutters of their wings or smell their horrible stench, but the sound was just getting louder and louder.
It's not real. He whispered to himself.
It was the venom. One of the side effects was illusions and will wear off eventually. When Rodan got stung, his only lasted for a night, but that was by one stung. He had the whole swarm attack him, how long will it take for that level of venom to wear off.
Stupid Bugs….He sneered. If you want to fight, show yourselves! It's not my fault it ended badly! Blame that Bitch of a Queen of yours!
Soon dozens of red eyes began to appear in the dark all around him. The same color of the Dragonfly kaijus and were getting closer to him by the second. He took a step back without taking his sight off the eyes as more and more appeared. He could feel his heart beating hard against his ribcage. Not real….not real…not real….He repeated to himself as he continued to walk backwards. That's the only thing he can do to keep himself from going completely mad.
Not real….not real…not….His tail bumped into something and he slowly turned around to see what it was.
His eyes widened when he saw Anguirus standing there with a disapproving look on his face. Hey Goji.
He stared at his late companion before facing away from him and muttered. Not…real…you're not real.
Goji…
You're dead….I buried you…He shouted, shutting his eyes tight. What a cruel joke. After a few minutes, when he thought it was alright to see, he opened his eyes to find Ang right in front of him with that same disapproving look.
He turns away from the illusion again and grinds his teeth.
Goji…
You're…you're just an illusion…nothing, but a side effect from the venom…He said, feeling drained all of a sudden. Curse those damn Bugs!
Goji…why were you there in the first place? He heard Ang ask, causing everything to stop from the mere sound of his voice.
His head shot up before looking back down at his claws and arms. Covered in red dot-like wounds, he fisted his claws. Was that a trick question?
There was no reason for you to go over to that colony, Goji. Why would you put your life in danger like that?
He quickly turned around to face Ang and was glad to see him like his old self and not as a corpse. Really? After years of being dead, you're going to lecture me? He asked.
This is not a lecture-
Yes it is. I know that face, Ang. The same face you would give me before chewing me out for something I did.
Ang cringed. Must you pout like that?
I'm not pouting! You're not real. It's the venom talking not you!
Are you going to answer my questions?
No, because you should know why! I'm trying to track down the one who killed you! You should be happy about this.
Ang stared at him with sad eyes before letting out a soft sigh. Goji,..you know that's not going to bring me back…
He rolled his eyes and looked away. He was never good at confronting others face to face. I'm not stupid, but they need to pay for what they did to you.
Getting yourself killed is not the way to do it, Goji. Ang said, calmly.
I can take them this time. I know I can! They beat us like we were nothing and they went as far as using you as my punishment! They said it themselves, I tore off one of their heads so they were going to return the favor!
He looked down to see Ang right in front of him again. It was a bad fight. We were both caught off guard and you said it yourself that I had a fatal wound. There was nothing more that could be done and you know it.
He turned around and shut his eyes. Dammit Ang, why won't you let me do this! I know you're THAT benevolent, but come on, for once can you be angry! Why can't you be angry about this! You Died! He shouted and began to grind his teeth again, feeling tiny teeth particles on his tongue. His eyes started to blur, telling himself it was the side effect from the venom and not from him tearing up from anger. Not once in his life has he ever cried and he wasn't going to start now.
He head Ang sighed. And there's no way for me to come back, Goji, so please, don't track the Fallen Star down in blind fury. I'm just trying to protect you.
Stop protecting me! He screamed, turning around to face his companion in rage and like always, Ang showed no signs of fear. Makes sense to him, Ang just knows how to handle him whenever he throws a tantrum. Even going through some weird delusional episode, Ang was still a pain in the ass. You're always protecting me now matter what and frankly, it can be fucking annoying sometimes! Why are you still doing it, I was the one who let you get killed! I was the one who asked you to tag along to fight them and now you're gone! I don't get why you're not upset with me! That stupid Bird was right, it should've been me.
Fatal wound, Goji,...Ang said with a sad face. You heard me tell Mosura to save you instead. That was my decision.
It was a stupid one! He shouted, causing Ang to frown deeper. Selfish even. Did you stop and think how it was going to affect me. The stupid bird and everyone you came across with!? How am I supposed to go on without you!? How am I supposed to do ANYTHING without you!? They took you away and I'm still here and you expect me to be alright living with that guilt alone!
I died, but as for you being alone. That was all your doing, Gojira and you know it.
He blinked and started to chuckle. Oh, now I get it. This is just the venom talking. You told me, yourself, about the side effects. How it likes to mess with your mind and force you to see things you don't want to. I'm not falling for it, not me, not today or ever! I told you before I didn't need anyone as long as I had you!
Yes, but deep down you were afraid of losing me because that's just how it works with Gojira. He always pushes anyone who gets close to him away. You've been doing it your whole life, but despite all that, you can't stand being alone. It's a vicious cycle and I don't know why you put yourself through that.
He growled and tried to walk away, but it felt like no matter how fast he was going, Ang was right now. Were they just floating around in this darkness? Go away, Ang. I don't need to hear this.
You know it's true. You always said the world doesn't treat you right. That everyone saw you as a freak or a monster and yet, the very few times someone was there for you, you pushed them away. You Foster family?
They weren't happy with me around. They just did it out of obligation.
Wrong. Jaya loved you like her own heir and you didn't know how to process that so you pushed her away. You said it yourself, you felt bad that you made her cry after leaving her.
Most likely she got over it, there was no point dwelling on it.
It took me years to bring down that wall of yours, Goji and even then you continue to push my buttons. You knew how badly it would hurt me to be tested over and over again to prove loyalty.
You chose that path, Ang. When we first met, I told you to leave, but you stayed. I let you in and looked what happened. And why are you treating me like a hatchling when I'm trying to avenge your honor and death!
Rodan…
Skip it!
Ang sighed….Mosura.
His eyes widened from the name and could feel his beating heart echoing all around them.
You can't keep hiding from it, Goji and you can't keep using my death as a distraction. You didn't think she would leave you, am I right?
Ang….Shut up….He said as a warning.
She loved you Gojira.
She left. She finally got the picture that I didn't want her around. I don't need her. I don't need anyone.
Everyone needs someone, Goji. The only reason you ran from her was because you knew she was telling the truth. You head may think it was a trick, but deep down in your heart you knew it was true and you were feeling something for her too.
His plates started to glow from the rage in him. Stop talking! I will not discuss her anymore. She's gone, just like you!
Stop turning away from me. Ang asked as calmly as possible.
He turned away from Ang, only to see him appear in front of him again. Cursing, he turned around only to jump to see Ang again. How in the hell is he doing that? This is not funny Ang! He shouted, trying to avoid his companion's eyes.
Goji, I'm only trying to help.
Suddenly another Ang appeared right next to the original one. Can't you see I'm trying to protect you!
He took a step back and turned around to see another Ang standing there. Stop…
Don't push me away. Don't get yourself killed over me!
Stop…stop…He whispered to himself.
You're not well. You're not sleeping or eating.
The humming of the Dragonfly kaijus' wings came back. Mixing together with Ang's voice to create a horrible, insane sound. He began to panic when more and more visions of Ang appeared, all of them talking to him, trying to make him listen for once in his life, trying to get him to see what his Pride won't.
She loved you, Goji.
Don't go after the Fallen Star.
It wasn't your fault. I died.
Find Mosura. I don't want you to be alone.
Stop pushing kaijus away when they want to help you.
It wasn't your fault.
You need her and she needs you.
He was trapped and the voices were just getting louder and louder just like the fucking Hum. He fell to his knees and clutched his head tight with his claws. Trying once again to drown out the sounds and Ang's voice. Shut up….shut up…Shut UP!! He shouted, making everything around him shake. His whole body started to hurt. As if something was pinching him hard on his sides and arms. Blood began to appear on his body and he didn't know why.
Goji, I love you like a brother. Please listen to me-
DAMMIT ANG, WHY WON'T YOU LET ME DO THIS ONE THING FOR YOU!
He snapped his eyes open to find himself on the ground with little predators backing away from him. Their tiny snouts were covered in blood and he realized they were picking at his open wounds for fresh meat. They thought they stumbled on a caress while he was trying to sleep off the venom. With one quick swipe of his tail, he scared the little creatures away before sitting up. His head and body hurt with him feeling like his head took much of the blunt force. For a second, he didn't know where he was until he spotted the bones and a few dead Dragonfly kaijus on the ground. Oh right, he was trying to get information from the Dragonfly Queen about the Fallen Star and ended up getting stung and nearly beaten to death. He sat there and didn't know what to do. What he saw last night…was it real? Or was it just the venom messing with his mind. He thought about Ang and the stuff he heard last night would sound like something Ang would say. Ang wouldn't want him to put his life in danger over his death. Deep down, even he knew it wouldn't bring Ang back, but his pride, grief and anger blinded him from common sense. He thought about calling it quits and perhaps just hide out somewhere and rest till he remembers something the Dragonfly Queen said.
There were more Betas out there. Willing to protect and bear heirs for the Fallen Star and she said that she would send her Grunts out to spread the word about him and his agenda. He picked himself up from the floor and stood there. One Demon was bad enough, but to have Followers and heirs out there was unacceptable.
00000000000
Never in his life he thought he would be in this situation where he would have to kill hatchlings, eggs and their mothers. Sure, there were a few times he and Ang would come across female Mutos heavily pregnant with eggs and eliminate them, but Mutos have always been the bottom of the chain when it comes to kaijus' reputation and status. In fact many believe the parasites were nothing, not even kaijus in their eyes, but this was different. Part of him was hoping the Betas were just taken and brainwashed to follow the Fallen Star, but no, the females he would come across were deeply, hopelessly in love with the Golden Bastard from the sky. The second Beta was no different than the Dragonfly Queen, wicket and insane and calling the Fallen Star her Master. Behind her was her lone nest with five little glowing eggs in it. Words were exchanged, he was nice enough to tell her he would let her be if she would just hand over the eggs, but she wasn't having it. In the end, he had to kill both her and the eggs and left the bodies out in the open to rot and for the Fallen Star to find.
Odd thing though, just like the Dragonfly Queen, the female asked if the Purple One sent him. Apparently the Purple One is not too friendly with the other females in the Fallen Star life.
For the next couple of months, one by one, he would track the female Betas down and one by one, they would die at his feet, their last words declaring love and devotion to their Master. In his defense and to make him not feel so terrible about these sinister deeds, they were killed as quickly as possible. One snap of their necks was a pretty painless way to die in his opinion. The Fallen Star did have a taste in females, while they were from different species, most of them were flyers. Either flying insects, Bird-serpents or the females that were the same species as Rodan. He came across a few that were water serpents, more low class versions of the Sea-dragons he would see swimming around and like always, the mention of the Purple One was cursed out before he killed them. He had no clue who or what the Purple One (Purple Bitch to some of the females) was since as much as they hated her, she was their Master's favorite Plaything and they were smart enough not to challenge her or put her in harms way. He really didn't care, if he ever come across the Purple One, she will die just like the rest.
Then it finally happened on a dark and cloudy day.
When he comforted the Fallen Star once again.
He found a lonely nest nearby a large cliff and realized the eggs in it were sired by the Fallen Star. Believing the nest was abandoned, he was about to kick the nest and eggs off the cliff and let the ocean below him take care of it when he was attacked from behind by a bright yellow Bird-serpent. After fighting her off, which left him with scratches all over his face, he violently tossed her away from him and her nest and watched her tumble across the floor. Her large left wing snapped and she screeched before coming to a stop with her lying on her side. Her once beautiful, bright yellow feathers were now dirty with dirt and blood with a few patches missing due to him grabbing her and hitting her. Her crest was broken and he managed to hit her hard enough that she chipped her beak. He was not proud of himself, but it felt like he had no choice. He was not going to let those eggs see the light of day and by the way they were moving, he got here just in time. He turned away from the female and slowly walked over to her nest. Lightning clashed in the background followed by thunder as he lifted his foot up and held it above the eggs.
No….The female hissed while trying to pick herself up from the ground. My Master, my One and Only…those are his Heirs!
He rolled his eyes. Sorry lady, but I'm not going to let that Demon's spawn spread. He said, before smashing the eggs with his powerful stomps. There was a pang of guilt since they were only hatchlings, but he had to keep that in the back of his mind for the time being. Block it out in order to sleep even for a few hours at night.
The female screamed in pure rage and agony. MONSTER! She screamed before leaping from the floor and tackling him from behind. He nearly fell off the cliff if it wasn't for his feet clamping himself down to the ground. The female didn't waste time using her claws to scratch his face and neck. He threw his head back, hitting her right in the chest to get her to loosen her grip on his gills only to have her tail wrap itself around his neck. He gagged hard and tried to pull her tail away while the female began to squawk loudly into the sky.
He recognized that type of cry. She was calling out for help and by the way the clouds were getting darker and angrier by the second he knew exactly who she was reaching out for. The female hissed, I'm going to claw your eyes out! She shouted, bringing her claws down to his face again.
He roared before doing a sharp turn to the right to knock her off of his back. The female fell off, hitting him in the thigh and forcing her to let go of his neck. Not wanting to waste time, he leaned down and grabbed the female by the neck and began to choke her. She struggled, using her claws and talons to scratch his arm while crying as loud as she could. The insane look in her eyes disturbed him greatly. What in the world did the Fallen Star do to this female for her to act this way.
Her eyes grew wide and a small smile appeared on her face when she saw something behind him. He didn't have time to turn around and look when a huge bolt of lightning stuck him on his right thigh. There was a huge flash of light, blinding him for a second and the next thing he knew he was on the ground far away from the cliff and the female. He groans and tries to pick himself up only to hiss in pain due to his thigh having a huge burn gash on it. He could actually smell the burnt flesh on his body. Great, the gash went from the top of his thigh all the way down to his knee which will make it hard for him to stand let alone walk. The wind started to pick up and the lightning and thunder in the background were getting louder. He suddenly heard and felt little sparks of static coming from where the nest was so his eyes slowly trail over to the spot and nearly lost his ability to breath. Standing right in front of the nest and smashed eggs was the Fallen Star with the female trying her best to crawl over to them.
My Love…My One and Only…you came. The female said with tears in her eyes and blood dripping out of her mouth.
Instead of a happy or loving greeting, The Fallen Star stomped on the female's good wing causing her to scream in agonizing pain. Why are our Heirs dead? The Middle One asked so calmly it was almost deadly.
We allowed you to have eggs and this is how you repay us!? The Right growled.
The Left one reached down and picked her up by the neck as she shriveled in fear. It-it-it-it wasn't my fault, My Master! He killed them (Pointing a claw over to him.) I-I-I-I tried to stop him-
And you failed miserably! The Middle One said, turning around till they were facing the cliff.
She panicked, No! Wait! Forgive me! Let me try again and prove to you my love and devotion! I will be a good mate! I promise!
The Right tapped his chin with his wing as if reconsidering her fate only to chuckle. Nah, We're tired of you anyway and already found your replacement.
NO, PLEASE! I love you! It wasn't my fault! Give me another-
The Left threw her off the cliff without any hesitation before she could finish her sentence and smirked when they heard her scream for help. With both wings broken, there was no way for her to save her life or slow down her fall.
The Left One laughed, I hope there are sharp rocks at the bottom.
There was a loud splash and it was the Right that laughed this time. That gotta hurt.
The Middle One finally turned his attention over to him and for a moment he felt small compared to the Fallen Star. Their long necks alone gave them nearly a hundred feet of height difference and it seems like their time on this world so far has brought nothing, but pure energy, life and strength. While they were glowing in all their glory, he was a mess and that was the nicest way he could put it too. The last few years were not kind to him. He wasn't sleeping or eating well and it felt like he was about to crack under pressure due to his weak mental state. He swallowed, not wanting the Fallen Star to see him in pain or in a weak state of mind and health. He could barely stand on his injured and just bending it was making the burnt flesh cut open to bleed. The female did a good number on his face and neck and with him tired and weak already, he barely had it in him to make his plates glow.
Well now, look who we have here? The Middle One said, causing the other two heads to stare at him as well. Tell me, my brothers, does this Lizard look familiar?
The other two narrowed their eyes before the Right One smiled. I remember, he was that glowing one we fought a few years ago with his little companion.
And here we thought he died of blood loss….oh wait, that was his friend. He was the one who ran off with his tail between his legs. The Left chuckled.
That Friend was named Anguirus and you're going to regret the day you took him away from me and this world. He said, pointing a claw at the Middle Head.
Oh I see, you're here to avenge his death? What a weak and foolish thing to do, Lizard. If I'd known how much that Spiked Shell thing meant to you, I would have made his death nice and slow.
He growled, trying so hard to flash his plates, but was having a hard time to make them even flicker.
Don't be so mad, in fact you should be happy. He was struggling to get away from us, choking on his own blood so we showed him mercy by tearing off his head. A quick and painless death if you'd ask me. The Right Head smirked.
Yeah, and the best part was that we ended up getting "Lucky" afterwards. I love the fact your females on this planet are so willing and easy. I never thought a female would be so lustful seeing us covered in your friend's blood. The Left Head laughed.
He snapped and charged towards them. You UNGRATEFUL BASTARD! He roared in blind rage.
He was nearly struck again by lightning causing him to stop dead in his tracks and giving the Fallen Star time to fly up into the air. The wind from the massive wings made him take a step back. His knees nearly buckled thanks to the large gash on his leg, but he stood tall and proud. The wind began to increase and started to feel little drops of rain falling on his raw open-wounds.
Get down here and fight, you Cowards! He shouted while trying to charge up to shoot them with his beam. The plates on his tail began to flicker, struggling to glow, but he didn't have the energy in him to do it. All he could feel was the rage forcing him not to give up.
And give you field advantage, Fat Lizard. I don't think so. The Middle one said, calmly.
How about you meet us up here in the sky instead. The Right said.
He didn't know what they meant about that, but the next thing he knew, they flew down towards him with their strong legs and tails coming at him first with their large wings spread wide open. They tackled him with such force it made the entire cliff to rumble. He roared only to have it cut off thanks to the Right looping around his neck and latching on to his gills with his teeth. He tried to pull away, but their tails coiled around his body for a tight hug, restraining him from using his arms. The Left bit him in the shoulder to prevent him from struggling in their tight grip and with one big thrust from their wings, he soon found himself being pulled up into the sky. The Middle stared down at him with wicket, insane red eyes.
Let go! He shouted only to be headbutted in the face by the Middle One. His forehead crack opened, forming a tail of blood down his cheek.
What's wrong, afraid of heights? The Middle One smirked before his face grew dark. I figure I give you a good view of the nest you destroy before ending your life once and for all.
He tried to bite, but that only made them squeeze him tighter as they began to disappear in the dark gray clouds.
Maybe next time you'll think twice before killing my females and heirs. Not that I care, I just don't like my stuff being touched, but I'm sure once I get rid of you, I'll have new females flocking over to thank us for getting rid of a horrible Monster like you!
With that, they let him go, letting the weight of his body plunge towards the ground at full speed. Uncertainty flooded his mind because he's never been dropped out of the sky before so he didn't know if he could survive the fall or not. He kept his eyes on the Fallen Star who were just floating in place with smiles on all three of their heads. He exited the dark clouds and could see the cliff and the rough ocean getting closer by the second. For a moment he thought he was going to hit the water, believing the soft sand would cushion his fall, but instead, his back was aiming towards the edge of the cliff instead. His eyes widened.
Shit….
His back hit the edge of the cliff at full force, shattering not only his plates, but snapping his spine out of place. Sharp pain jolted down his legs before going completely numb while blue smoke from his broken plates began to fill the air. He rolled over, forcing himself to tumble down the cliffside with a rockslide following him and hitting the ocean water with a loud smack. As he began to sink underwater, he was hit multiple times by rocks and boulders from above. He hit the bottom with a soft thud and realized the water wasn't as deep as he was hoping for. He tried to move only to realize he couldn't get his legs or tail to work. In fact from his waist down was completely numb and immobile. He looked at his back plates. A large portion were shattered and leaking smoke and bright blue radiation into the water. There were broken pieces imbedded deeply in his scales. He began to crawl away, heading towards the deep end knowing very well the Fallen Star wouldn't be able to reach him only to roar out in pain when he felt the Fallen Star landing right on top of him, digging their feet into his tender back. Letting blood and blue radiation leak out even more. He gagged when their tails wrapped around his neck and began to drag him across the ocean floor. He spotted a field of pointed rocks nearby and realized what they were going to do. He tried to stop, digging his claws into the soft sand to slow them down, but without the use of his legs and tail he wasn't strong enough. He was rammed right into the rocks, forming a dirt cloud in the water and blinding his vision. They gripped his back and preceded to lift him out of the water again, but he held on to whatever he can grab to stop them.
He was pretty sure they were angry that he survived the fall and had a bad feeling they were going to drop him again so he held back for dear life. They jumped up only to slammed their feet down on his inured back again, hearing the rest of his back plates break and his bones cracking under the pressure. Feeling this was it, with him immobile, there's nothing else he can do, but accept the defeat. He closed his eyes and wondered if he would see Ang after death when he felt something squishy slithered pass him. They pulled his head out of the water with their tails still wrapped tightly around his neck when he noticed something appearing right next to him.
Next thing he knew, a large tentacle, full of bright colors and suction cups flew out of the water to grab hold of the Fallen Star's leg.
What….? The Middle shouted, dumbfounded.
Two more tentacles shot out, grabbing their other leg while the other one wrapped around the top part of their tails. Caught off guard, they were pulled harshly into the ocean while freeing him from their choke hold. He fell back into the water and just laid there in order for his gills to work and help him breathe. At the corner of his eye, he tried to make out what or who was attacking the Fallen Star. All he could see was a thick dirt cloud and something colorful. A giant wing flew in front of him, nearly hitting him in the process, only to have it pinned down by more tentacles.
Ichi, get us out of here!
Another wing flew by, forcing the dirt to clear away and giving him a better look on what was going on. His jaw slanted when he spotted the Fallen Star underwater with some sort of large jelly-like creature attached to their chest with eight tentacles wrapped around their legs, tails and fighting off all three heads at the same time. The look of panic was written all over the Fallen Star's faces. It made him realize they don't do well underwater like any Kaijus who have wings for arms.
Bite it! The Middle shouted, Tear it apart!
The Creature suddenly disappeared, using a form of camouflage by copying the golden colors of the Fallen Star's scales to confuse them. It work when they tried to bite and ended up biting themselves in the process. Frustrated, they tried to escape, but the tentacles kept them from unfolding their wings and keeping them from moving their legs. The creature hissed when the Middle One tried to bite it's face when he spotted it's eyes opening. It smacked the Middle One's head away before grabbing hold of his long neck with two of it's tentacles and snapping it like a twig. The Fallen Star began to convulse as the Middle One floated there dead to the world.
Brother! The Left shouted, trying to shake the Middle's Head to get a response.
Bitch! The Right shouted, his neck glowing bright yellow, charging his beam to strike the creature down. He ended up choking on it when the Left stopped him.
Don't! You'll hurt us as well!
Don't tell me what to do, San!
The Creature had a huge advantage against the Fallen Star thanks to it's eight limbs. It was hard for them to keep up where they all were and they couldn't hit it with their wings since it was latched on to their chest.
Get off! The Right shouted, turning around to slam the creature into some of the pointy rocks, scraping it against it in order for it to let them go, but it wouldn't let them go. Probably trying to keep them underwater in hopes to drown them.
The Left Head bit down on one of the tentacles hard enough that he drew blood and with one powerful yank, he tore it off the creature's body.
The creature hissed only to retaliate by swatting the Left Head in the face with its other tentacle, breaking the Bastard's jaw in the process.
Dammit Ichi, you can't be dead! We can't fly well without you! The Right shouted. Wake Up!
The Left Head whined from his jaw being broken and for being underwater for far too long.
Dammit! The Right shouted before clamping down on the tentacle that was wrapped around their right leg. The tentacle release their leg which he used to kick and tear the creature off of them. The Creature swam back, turning dark blue to match the ocean water to hide in case the Fallen Star attack, but instead, The Fallen Star flew out of the water with half open wings and damaged pride.
It was a struggle, but he managed to lift his head up to peek out of the water to see the Fallen Star flying away while trying so hard not to fall out of the sky due to their wings not working properly. The Middle Head's lifeless neck dangle horribly against their chest. He slowly drifted back underwater till his head was resting on the ocean floor while trying to figure out what the hell happened. Through his blurry, tired, vision he saw a pair of bright blue eyes staring at him while getting closer.
….Mosura…He whispered.
When the Creature was close enough, he realized it was an Octopus kaiju that was floating next to him. One of the rare kaijus of the ocean and are known for their colors and wisdom.
Still getting into trouble, are we, Dagon? The Octopus spoke in a sweet, feminine voice.
Dagon?
Why did she call him Dagon?...
MQB: I think the only thing I didn't like about this chapter was the small part I gave Na Kika, I wanted to give her a much bigger part, but I thought the chapter was long enough and adding more would have made it too clutter in my opinion. So I'm going to add it to Part IX instead which will give me so more room as add extra detail if needed. Either way, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter no less, I can't wait to read all the feedback.
Stay tune to Part II of "Mist" coming up soon since it will be connected to this story in the next chapter.
Until then, stay safe and wonderful Dear Readers. Peace.
Please Review.
