Separated dialogue: No one wants to read a block of dialogue where they can't tell who is talking. Description in stories: It's the writer's job to describe the story to the reader and help them figure out what's going on in such a way that they almost feel they are in the story. You shouldn't leave your reader feeling as though they need to envision everything. Humour: It makes everything better. Dislikes- Fanbrats: I don't care that I hurt a fictional character's feelings, I don't care that I may have hurt your feelings because I don't like a character you like. I don't care that you are too tired, busy, lazy, random, special (pick an adjective) to spell check, proof read, re-read (pick a verb) your story and you feel that since this isn't being graded/ is just fanfiction. And I really don't care to be PMd to be yelled at by a fanbrat or mentioned in a fanbrat AN rant. Constant changes in POV- I will refuse to read any story where the POV changes even once in a chapter. Seriously what is up with that idea? I hate it! Also describing third person point of view as no POV. Uh, it's not 3rd person is a point of view. Please do the fanfiction world a favour and learn the basic mechanics of writing. The current writers for season 5 of Winx Club. Who the hell decided to make Stella into a 22 year old bratzilla who makes dresses from salad? Who the hell decided to have the Winx care more about trash than about Aisha's problems? It's like Captain Planet is going to emerge the next time they converge their Sirenix powers... wait he already did! Read Akela Victoire's latest fanfic.
