Professional wrestler Goro Ichigeki returned to Shido fessing room after a tough and arduous match. He thought that this time, he might actually lose his championship title to his opponent. But, he had managed to push through and attain victory for the 35th consecutive championship match. But now, Goro was getting tired of this constant winning. He wanted to face a truly interesting challenger. One who could keep him on his toes. He was interrupted by a box on his dresser, with a note attached. "Here's to your next big challenge." The note wasn't signed, but Goro was curious, opening the box to find some sort of black and gold gun, with a usb memory bearing some kind of armoured monster. He reached to pick this up, pressing the button on top.
Darrgon.
The dark energy of the Herculean Fighter entered the body of the human, suppressing the mind of the human within. But Darrgon didn't need him. He merely needed his brain space so that he could augment his own intelligence with the brainpower of a human. Or something along those lines. Hudram hadn't really explained how his plan was supposed to benefit them, but Darrgon had heard the words "combat Trigger" and that was all he needed to hear to be on board with a plan. And explaining how this device works in full was one thing Darrgon had picked up. "Alright. Let's go." He inserted the Hyper Key into the Sparklence's handle. Boot Up: Flame! "Wait for me, my new worthy opponent." Darrgon said as he opened the handle of his new item and pressed the trigger, initiating his transformation. "I'll be waiting."
Across the Solar System, on the planet of Mars, Reina Manaka was concluding another day's work. Beyond the work they had made for Chairman Shizuma in unearthing the giant of light and his weapon that she had been informed of soon after the birth of her son. She had never asked why it had mattered, but she assumed it had something to do with the unusual circumstances of Kengo's birth. Reina had never married, and she hadn't slept with another man for years at the time she had learned she was pregnant. She almost considered going back to Earth to try and find someone to help her raise the baby. But then Shizuma came to her, telling her that it was imperative that she stay on Mars to find something for him. Now that something had been found, and now Reina was continuing to search the surface of Mars for hints to an ancient civilisation that might not exist. Meanwhile, her son had inherited the power and body of the giant of light, joining Shizuma's GUTS-Select to protect the Earth, as part of some prophecy he was part of. And yet, Reina couldn't help but feel worried.
"Excuse me?" She looked up from her reverie to see a stunning brunette woman, wearing a black dress with prominent use of leather, silk sleeves and a blue jewelled pendant. She also had a headband and white marks under her eyes. "I was wondering if you could help me with a problem I'm having."
"Okay.", Reina said with confusion. "Are you new to the colony?"
The woman merely smiled at this. "Yes, you could say that. Though I don't intend to stay long."
"Oh really?", Reina asked. "If that's the case, then I'm not sure why you need -."
Reina was grabbed by the woman before she could finish her sentence. "Oh, I don't need you for any skills you may or may not possess.", the other woman snarled. "I'm merely in need of a human host. And I've decided that you'll fit the bill." As she said this, Carmeara resumed her original form.
"Me?", Reina asked. "But why?" This was merely her attempt to stay confident. She recognised this alien as the same one that had attacked the site months ago. "I'm not important."
"Oh that's not true.", Carmeara said in response. "You're the mother of that pest Kengo Manaka. He took away someone dear to me. And I intend to repay him in full, though not without some fun in the process." She forced the Hyper Key of herself that Hudram had created into the hands of the other woman. "And all I need to begin it is to have you press this." She manipulated her victim's fingers, forcing her to press the switch.
Carmeara! As the button was pressed, Carmeara's appearance dissolved, the resulting gas entering the body of Reina Manaka, who barely had time to scream, before her lips began an unsettling laugh. "Let's see how much passion Kengo Manaka can muster to defeat me, now that I have this body." She took out the Sparklence Hudram had provided her with, which she had modified to be primarily gold and to possess a spike on the back of the barrel. She inserted her own Hyper Key. Boot Up: Whip! She opened up the item, before holding it to the sky, lowering it to shoulder level with her other hand underneath, and then moving it across and towards her chest, all while saying the phrase she had chosen. "Tear down the past, the shadow of despair! Captivating Warrior, Carmeara!" And the Carmeara laughed. The seeds of her revenge had been planted.
Back on Earth, Ignis, or rather, the being that was borrowing his mind, went over to a man in a bar. "I thought I'd find you here.", he said as he touched his target on the shoulder. "Kouga Sanshiro. Recently fired from Bio-Lab for workplace negligence and attempted plagiarism of other scientists."
"What do you want?", Kouga asked.
Ignis noted that the professor didn't seem as down on his luck as the news had made him seem. So he decided instead to get straight to the point. "I've recently come into the hands of a little toy to play with." He placed down a partially broken device which Kouga, or rather, Hudram inhabiting his body, recognised as a broken Sparklence. "I lack the knowledge to repair this myself, and I know you've had it out for Akito Hijiri for a while."
"How intriguing.", Kouga nodded. "But if you're planning to actually use this, then you're going to need a Hyper Key to use it properly."
"You mean like this?" Ignis then placed a Hyper Key bearing the likeness of Horoboros, the wild fierce monster. "Let's just say that I pilfered some spare data while I took this."
"Ah, an interesting specimen.", Kouga commented as he took out his own Hyper Key, depicting Deathdrago, the destructive fierce dragon. Hudram had used the horn he had taken from the creature's original attack years ago, as a test to see if he could do so. "But not as interesting as this."
Ignis seemed slightly annoyed at his contact upstaging him. Luckily, he had a second Hyper Key to show off. That of Zaigorg, the inferno demon monster. "Then how does this take your fancy, my friend?"
"Not bad.", Kouga laughed, as he presented his second Hyper Key. One based on Gatanathor, the evil god. "But can you top this?" Ignis had a startled look on his face, as if to answer the question in the negative. "Don't worry, 'my friend'. I'll take your new toy and make it work." He took the broken Sparklence. "Now, about payment…"
Ignis presented a handful of golden eggshells. "I think this should suffice for you.", Ignis said as he got up and began to walk off. "I'll be expecting delivery of it in three days." As he left the bar, Trigger Dark thought about that scientist he had spoken to. While they had never met, something seemed all too familiar about him…
