The Hivemind Universe Expeditionary Force passed through the portal and emerged on the other side. There they saw that they were on an island with the coastline behind them and the flora and fauna in front of them. The air felt fresh and flew in a gentle breeze, they heard the sounds of nature which only added to the allure of the environment.
"Wow this place is beautiful!" said Andromeda Hivemind.
"I agree," said Capricorn Hivemind.
"It is an interesting place alright." said Eridanus Hivemind.
"I am sensing a lot of magic in this place," said Hydra Hivemind.
"This world might be a magical dimension." stated Centaurus Hivemind.
"Magic or not this place still doesn't compare to our realm." said Aquarius Hivemind.
"Jeez will you stop being a Negative Nancy and just enjoy the view?" Eridanus Hivemind said to Aquarius Hivemind who narrowed his eyes at the former.
"Enough, we have a mission to complete." Draco Hivemind said firmly, looking at the Aquarius Hivemind and Eridanus Hivemind before his eyes scanned the rest of the HUEF to gauge their reactions.
"Draco Hivemind is right, we got things to do." Centaurus Hivemind said to which Draco Hivemind simply humphed.
The HUEF then began to walk towards the forest meanwhile on another part of the island a pale dark haired teen detected the new arrivals on Tenrou Island. He wasn't threatened by the arrival of this new group but rather was curious. This new group felt strange to him because he never felt such individuals in his long immortal life before. Who were they? Why have they come here? Did they know of him? If they do, will they relieve him of his curse? These questions ran through his head as contemplated this development.
In another part of the island a familiar magic guild was holding their S-Class Mage promotion trials. Only a single of Fairy Tail was to be promoted to S-Class should they pass their trials. There were eight Fairy Tail members in total who were participating in the trials. They were Natsu Dragneel, the Fire Dragon Slayer Mage and adopted son of the Fire Dragon King Igneel who disappeared seven years ago. Lucy Heartfilia Celestial Spirit Mage and member of Team Natsu. She was the daughter of the wealthy Heartfilia Family. Gray Fullbuster Ice-Make Mage and Natsu's rival. Gray was the sole survivor of an attack by the demon known as Deliora who destroyed his village and killed his parents. He was also a student of the late Ice-Make Mage Ur who had sacrificed her life to seal Deliora in the Iced Shell spell in order to save Gray.
Juvia Lockser self-proclaimed lover of Gray and Water Mage, she was a former member of the disbanded Phantom Lord Guild. Cana Alberona who is Fairy Tail's resident drunk and Card Mage. She is also the daughter of Fairy Tail's Ace Gildarts Clive but the latter did not know that he was Cana's dad. Elfman Strauss brother of Mirajane and Lisanna Strauss who is a Take Over Mage and self-proclaimed man's man. Levy McGarden Solid Script Mage and member of Team Shadow Gear. Freed Justine Dark Ecriture Mage and a member of the Thunder God Tribe formerly led by Laxus Dreyar who was banished from the guild for his actions in the Battle for Fairy Tail.
Mest Gryder who was going under the alias of Doranbolt who had infiltrated Fairy Tail to spy on the guild on the orders of the Magic Council but unknown to himself he was a member of Fairy Tail who wiped his own memory and joined the Magic Council however this information was known only to Makarov Dreyar guild master of Fairy Tail. They all hoped to gain promotion to S-Class but in order to do so they must partner with a guild member who wasn't S-Class and battle each other on the paths or one of the S-Class members of the guild who were guarding the paths around the island. All participants have already been brought to Tenrou Island a couple of days earlier. So far Natsu was defeated by Gildarts but was allowed to pass by the Ace of Fairy Tail, Erza defeated Juvia and Lisanna who stumbled unto her path, Elfman and Evergreen won against Mirajane Strauss, Freed and Bickslow threw their fight against Lucy and Cana due to them owing Lucy and Cana a favour. Gray and Loke easily got the better of Mest and Wendy but neither remembers anything about Mest.
Now those who passed the first trial were gathered and then dispatched to search for the grave of the Founder of Fairy Tail: Mavis Vermillion, there was a six hour limit for the search. It is on this search where the HUEF will collide with Fairy Tail. The HUEF continued on their path into the forest taking in the sights of the forest. While they were travelling down the path the Centaurus Hivemind had requested that Cassiopeia Hivemind, Hydra Hivemind, Corvus Hivemind and Gemini Hivemind create a sensory field around their group so that they won't get caught off-guard by any dangers present on the island.
Hydra Hivemind was deep in thought he detected a powerful and strange magical signature on this island as soon as they had exited the portal. He didn't tell any of the other HUEF members of the magical signature he detected, opting to investigate it once they were close enough to the position of said magical signature. Meanwhile the Corvus Hivemind was focused on maintaining the sensory field while remaining alert for any sudden encounters. He did not discount the fact that they might be people on this island despite its seemingly isolated appearance. He trusted the others to be at combat readiness should they encounter hostiles. Suddenly he detected a foreign presence and seconds later the information passed through the sensory field alerting the rest of the HUEF.
Cassiopeia Hivemind summoned a barrier around the HUEF as they waited for the strangers to appear. Emerging from the opposite direction were two individuals. The people in question were Elfman and Evergreen who were on the search for the Founder's grave.
"Who are you people?" Elfman demanded.
"We're the Hivemind Universe Expeditionary Force." Centaurus Hivemind said.
"You expect us to fall for that!" Elfman retorted.
"Hold on, we aren't looking for a fight." Cygnus Hivemind said, trying to assure the duo.
"Well if you want to fight then bring it on!" Eridanus Hivemind roared and charged at Elfman.
"Wait Eridanus Hivemind!" Hydra Hivemind yelled.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" from out of nowhere a flaming fist struck Eridanus Hivemind sending the Hivemind flying back.
"If you guys want to fight Fairy Tail you have to go through me first!" exclaimed Natsu Dragneel as he took a battle stance.
"Alright punk you may have gotten a lucky hit on me but I'm far from finished!" Eridanus Hivemind exclaimed as he released his aura.
Capricorn Hivemind could only facepalm as he watched the battle unfold.
"We're totally not making a good first impression with the locals." He dejectedly remarked.
