AN: So sorry it's been so long for an update. Classes have started back up and I'm trying to find time to write the rest of this story. And for those of you who have been paying attention to the titles, you know it's almost to the end. Now, the ending I have in mind is a little different from the show so be prepared. And thank you so much for all the love. Please read and review. I love hearing what you guys think!

I went up to mom's room first. When I got there, she was still sleeping so I sat in the chair next to her bed and just watched her sleep. I watched her chest rise and fall with her breathing. She looked so small in that bed with all of the wires and monitors. She looked so frail. She didn't have any other major damage once they fixed her ribs and spleen. I mean, she had bumps, bruises, and cuts, but no other broken bones.

I sat and held her hand, waiting on her to wake up. My phone started ringing, it was Rosen. He was calling to tell me that bail was posted and Opie was going to pick them up, he was the only one who didn't get arrested. He told dad about the car accident and they were all headed straight here. I hung up the phone and sat back in my seat.

"Who was that?"

"Mom! You're awake. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Have you heard anything about the guys?"

"Yeah. I posted bail this morning, so they're on their way here."

"Good. How did you get that kind of money?"

"Don't worry about it. I got it covered."

"Who do we owe?"

"No one. I cashed in a favor. Like I said, don't worry about it."

"Gemma!" Dad yelled as he rushed into the room.

He came over and pulled her to him in a hug. She winced a little and he pulled back. I always admired how they listened to each other and honestly how they knew each other better than they knew themselves. He just sat next to her and held her face in his hands.

"Oh baby." He said.

"It's not as bad as it looks."

"What is with you two and car accidents?" He laughed.

"Mom? Did you see anything?" Jax asked from the doorway.

"There was a car coming. The headlights were on bright or something, I couldn't see much. I did see that it was a van."

"A van?" I asked. "Like a work van or a minivan?"

"A minivan. It was green I think."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I'm sure. Why does it matter?"

"I gotta go. I love you."

"Freeze! Where are you going?"

"I'm going to fix this okay. It's my fault."

"Amelia, wait." Clay said.

"Not now."

"Please?" He put his hands on the sides of my face and I flinched away, but he kept them there. "I am so sorry."

"This isn't something that sorry can fix."

"Then what? What do I have to do to make this right?"

"Just… just trust me. Trust that I know what I'm doing."

"I can do that."

"Amelia!" Tara said, busting into the room. "Tig's awake."

"Oh my god. Can I see him?"

"Yeah. Come on."

"Stay with her." I said to my dad and Jax, pointing at Gemma.

I kissed mom on the forehead and ran out of the room, following Tara to Tig's room.

"He's still a little out of it, so be prepared for some grogginess."

"But he's okay right?"

"Yes. He should make a full recovery."

"Thank you." I said, hugging her tight. "Thank you."

She smiled at me and pointed to the door. I walked in and went over to hold his hand.

"Hey baby. How do you feel?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Well, I was here with mom and then-"

"Is Gemma okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah, she's fine. Someone ran her off the road last night. She should be released in a couple of hours. I'm more worried about you." I leaned down to kiss him, but he turned his head away. "Tig?"

"You should go."

"But- but you just woke up. I want to see you."

"I don't want to see you. We're over, remember."

"Tig that was before you got blown up."

"That doesn't change anything, Amelia. You are a child and you do childish things. I don't want to see you. Leave. Now!"

"Okay. Fine. I'll go. Just know I love you." I got to the door and stopped. "Ya know, when I heard that explosion and saw that it was you on the ground… My heart physically hurt. I thought I had lost you and that… that's the most scared I've ever been in my entire life."

When he didn't say anything I just left the room. I went straight out to my car, even breezing past Tara when she tried to stop me. I just had to get to my car before I started crying. Once I was there, I couldn't hold it in anymore. He was right. We were over and it was all my fault. All of this was my fault.

I was startled out of my thinking by a knocking at my window. When I looked up I saw a girl. I recognized her, but I couldn't tell where from. My purse was in my lap, so I reached in and grabbed my gun before rolling down my window.

"Hey Amelia. Don't shoot, it's just me. Dawn." I must have looked confused because then she clarified. "Tig's daughter."

"Dawn. What're you doing here?"

"My dad's in the hospital."

"Right. Um, who told you?"

"Not you."

"Right. I'm sorry baby. Things have been crazy around here."

"They always are."

"He needs some rest so why don't you come back to the house with me and we'll talk. I can bring you up here later."

"Yeah, sure. The cab…" She said, turning and pointing at it.

"Of course." I handed her my card so she could pay the fee. "This is why mothers should drown baby girls." I mumbled to myself.

"What was that?" She asked, getting into the car and handing my card back.

"Oh, nothing." I smiled. "So, who was it that called about your dad?"

"Some woman named Tara. She said she was his doctor."

"Of course it was."

"Is she bad news or something?"

"No, nothing like that. She's Jax's girlfriend."

"Really? You must not be too happy about that." I just smiled, tightly. "I take it Gemma isn't too happy about it either."

"We're fine. Jax is an adult. He can see who he wants."

"Right, right. So, how are things with you and my dad?"

"Um, they're fine. Ya know, we've got a little bit of a rough patch going on right now, but I think we'll get through it."

"Cool, cool. I'm sorry, it's just a little weird for me since I'm older than you are."

"Yeah. It is a little strange I guess." I lit up a cigarette and sighed, resting my head on my fingertips. "Well, we're here."

"I thought we were going to my dad's house. Well, no one's been there in a few days and I wanna make sure it's cleaned up before I take you there. So, I thought you could have dinner here with us. The guys just got out of jail this morning and Gemma gets released from the hospital in a few hours so we should all be here. Plus I need a hand with the cooking."

"Wow. You weren't kidding. Things have been busy here."

"Yeah. Tell me about it."

We went inside and I called Jax to tell him to tell everyone about the dinner tonight.

"You think that's a good idea, given what happened last time I mean."

"It'll be fine. Just make sure everyone is here. 8 o'clock."

"Alright. You got it darlin'."

"Thanks Jax. I gotta go. Don't be late." I said and hung up.

"So, what're we making?"

"Well," I said, getting out the wine and a glass. "I'm not sure."

I looked in the fridge and saw that we still had spaghetti sauce and meat laid out. There was also lasagna noodles and bread in the pantry.

"How does lasagna and garlic bread sound?"

"Sounds great. What do you need from me?"

"Well, first things first. We need to make the lasagna. So, if you could get out a pan to cook the meat that would be great. I'm gonna run upstairs for a minute, but I'll be right back."

"Alright. I can do that."

"Cool."

I went upstairs and called Tara.

"Hello."

"Hey." I said, looking for my stash of joints. "So, when were you gonna tell me about calling Dawn Trager?"

"She's on his list. I thought it would be best to let her know."

"Yeah well, you thought wrong."

"Come on. Is she really that bad? She's his daughter."

"Yes, but she hates me because I'm younger than her. And honestly, the spawn of Satan isn't really what I want to deal with right now."

"Spawn of Satan? That's a little harsh, even for you."

"Trust me on this one Tara. That girl is the reason mothers should drown baby girls. Ya know, there are only three women I have ever been afraid of: Gemma, Chib's old lady, Fiona, and Dawn Trager."

"She can't be that bad."

"Just promise me that if she shows up at the hospital, you'll call me. And don't let her be alone with him. Make up some bullshit story if you have to, but don't let her out of your sight."

"Alright, fine. What's this about dinner tonight?"

"Yeah. I need you there."

"Amelia, I don't think another dinner so soon is such a good idea."

"Trust me. I'm telling them after. This shitshow has to end."

"You-you're telling them?"

"Yeah. You were right from the beginning. Keeping this a secret is only hurting people. I have to tell them. It's the only way we survive."

"That's a little dramatic, but I'm glad that you're doing it."

"Yeah, just be there. I may need you to help keep Jax calm. I'll have my hand full trying to calm Clay and Gemma."

"You got it. See ya then."

"Bye." I threw my phone onto the bed and started looking through my drawers with both hands. "Finally." I found my box of joints.

I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs, lighting one up on my way. Now the only thing left is to figure out why Dawn's really here and keep her away from Tig until then. Easy enough, right? Ugh, I groaned at the thought.
