Chapter 7
The Witches Next Plan
Back at the cottage, Victoria and Mary were planning their next act of curly on the townspeople, whilst Elvina looked out of the window, sadly wishing she could leave the coven and live a normal life, far away from Victoria.
Suddenly, the three heard a high pitch laugh. Elvina looked up to the sky and saw Daphne flying towards their cottage. Elvina went to the door and opened it just as the Blake flew into the house with Fred tied up with a cloth around his mouth.
"Welcome back, Daphne." Elvina said in a friendly tone, but Daphne just walked passed her without saying a word. The redhead walked into the room where the other two were. She used her magic to carry Fred, who was struggling to get free.
"Hello ladies." Daphne said.
"Daphne, you returned." Victoria said, looking up to see their newest witch.
"And you brought a hostage." Mary said just as Elvina walked into the room.
"Ladies, let me introduce you to my boyfriend, Fred Jones." Daphne said introducing the tied up man to the rest of the coven.
"It's nice to meet you." Elvina said with a warm smile, much to Fred's confession whilst Daphne rolled her eyes. Victoria and Mary glared at the kind hearted witch looked away in shame.
"Well, I must say his is a handsome young man." Victoria said.
"I can see why you snacked him for yourself." Mary said as she scratched his chin must to his displeasure.
"Hands off Freddy mine." Daphne said slapping Mary's hand away from her boyfriend. "If I see you touch him again then I'll turn you into a frog and make you into frog stew." Fred was shocked by how violent and horrible Daphne was acting.
"Alright that's enough." Victoria said sternly. "Daphne why Fred here."
"I thought it time for someone else to be the one who needs to be rescued." Daphne said with a wicked grin.
"You mean that your "friends" might come to rescue him?" Victoria asked.
"Most likely." Daphne said.
"You idiot! We can't have mortals find are home!" Victoria shouted.
"Well how was I supposed to know that if you did bother to tell me?" Daphne said in a sarcastic tone. Victoria glared at the newest witch
Elvina tried to keep the two from arguing. "Ok let's not get into a fight..."
"Quiet!" Victoria and Daphne yelled at Elvina causing her to back down in fear.
"Will discuss this later Daphne, Now put this man near the beds." Victoria ordered.
"Yes, Victoria." Daphne said. She didn't like being told what to do by the head witch but she did like the idea of having Fred in the bed after she was done with her nights work. She took Fred to the beds in the far left side of the room. She put him down and turned around to go back to the others.
"Wait here Freddy." Daphne said before she walked away.
The redhead joined the other witches in the conversation in planning their next move. Elvina offered her a worm muffin, which Daphne declined although more because she wasn't going to start eating disgusting food just because she was a witch now.
"I'll take that." Mary said snatching the muffin from the nice witch and eat the revolting food. Whilst this happened, Daphne casted a spell so that Fred couldn't hear the plan.
"So what's the plan?" Daphne asked.
"Well after that threat you gave Mary, I finally have a plan. We're going turn the townspeople into frogs and then each week we take a few and turn them into a frog feast." Victoria said with a evil smile, showing her rotten teeth.
"Ooh it sounds perfect." Mary said with in cruelly glee voice.
"I don't think we should." Elvina said. As she did she undid Daphne's spell on Fred.
"Of course you won't." Victoria said in an annoyed voice.
"Why don't we let Daphne decide." Mary said.
Daphne thought for a moment. It did seem extreme to curse the whole town and making into a feast was over kill, however Victoria knew how to shift the deck in her favor.
"Well, what do you think we should do to them, Danger-Prone Daphne?" the head witch asked.
Daphne's left eye twitched in annoy, she still had to prove she wasn't the old Daphne Blake who got into trouble, she had to prove that she was a true witch, no matter the cost.
"Let make them frogs." Daphne said coldly.
Fred eyes widened at the sound of this coming from his normally nice and sweet girlfriend.
"Excellent." Victoria said with a cruel chuckle.
"Ooh can't wait to have frog for dinner!" Mary said much to Fred's horror.
"Can't we just tease them instead?" Elvina asked.
"We're turning them into frogs and that's final you pathetic excuses for a witch." Daphne said to Elvina in cruel stern voice and pocked her on the face, causing Elvina to cry.
Fred tried to yell "That's enough Daphne!" but the cloth prevented him from doing so.
Daphne turned to Victoria and Mary, ignoring Fred.
"So wants the first thing we have to do?" the redhead asked.
"Me and Mary are going to get the ingredients to make the potion. You and Elvina and get everything ready for us." Victoria said.
"Got it." Daphne said.
"Good." Victoria said as she and Mary got onto their broomsticks.
"Will be back shortly." Mary said.
The two flew into the air and cackled. Daphne turned to cauldron to get it ready. Elvina tried to talk her to change her mind.
"Daphne do you really want this I mean do you really want to be a witch?" Elvina asked.
"It's better then being Danger-Prone Daphne." Daphne said in a bitter tone. Then spoke again before Elvina could speak. "And don't try and convinces me to go back to normal."
Elvina, seeing that she couldn't decided to talk to her as a friend. She cast a spell on Fred so he could hear what she was going to say to Daphne.
"You boyfriend seems nice." she said.
"He is. and great fun to" Daphne said.
"In what way?" Elvina asked not sure what Daphne meant by this.
"It's private." Daphne said narrowing her eyes.
Elvina looked away for a second before she spoke again.
"Do you think he likes what you doing as a witch." she asked.
"What do you mean?" Daphne asked.
"Do you think he'll still want to be your boyfriend after everything you've done?" Elvina asked.
"Of course he does." Daphne said.
"Are you sure?" Elvina asked.
Daphne let out a frustrated groan as she picked up a few logs for the fire.
"If you won't talk to me then I'll be at the town." Elvina said. She left the cottage and flew off to the town leaving Daphne to finishing getting everything ready.
