4. Chapter 4 Part 1

Duel Four: The Song Of Love Or The Smell Of It (Part 1)

(Early Morning)

"So you told them."

"You say that like it is a bad thing." said Makoto as he looked upon his deck with little interest in Byakuya's statement, "You know I should probably get rid of "Kidmodo Dragon" in terms of my deck."

SLAM

"THAT IS NOT THE POINT HERE SETO! Do you really know what is at stake here! You are already noticed by the goddamn king of games, you need to take this more seriously!" shouted Byakuya after slamming his hand down on Makoto's dorm room table.

"JESUS DUDE! Look I am taking this seriously, but then you can't really hold back what happened to me back then."

"Which is why I asked you to put contacts on before leaving the house every day, you and I know what would happen if anyone noticed what your other half is able to do."

"Speaking of which they are currently trying to sleep so I would recommend quieting down a bit." said Makoto before turning to Byakuya fully, "Look Byakuya I know you are just looking out for me, which is not something you do often, but letting them know will be completely fine! Have I ever steered you wrong, little guy?"

"I am older than you."

"By a year."

"Look I get that you can handle yourself, you always have, but after your second duel with Yugi you have always been different, I am just trying to make sure you are not… you know."

"A raving lunatic that would try to instill the feeling of death within his own brother, or try to instill that same feeling into an old man just to get to my rival?"

"Both."

"Got you. Still though if it was not for Yugi, I would still be that way, that and the personality you see before you would not really exist in the form you are currently seeing."

"I am mad that he didn't wipe away your "Seto" half entirely." Said Byakuya

"Better if they exist than not in my case, I like their company most of the time."

"Most of the time? How very charming of you to say" said A vaguely female voice within Makoto's head.

"Nevermind not most of the time." Said Makoto Jokingly witch swiftly caused him to start laughing almost manically in nature for a second before his gaze hardened and his eyes went to there "Natural" blue hue, "Please Byakuya, Me and Makoto will be just fine without you heckling us at every moment."

"Oh boy, you are not going to be taking over permanently today are you?" asked Byakuya

"I would like to, but Makoto is feeling a bit more chipper than usual so i will not, just if he happens to need some rest."

"Good." said Byakuya before opening the door to Makoto's room before attempting to exit before turning back into the room for a second, "And yes, remove that stupid Lizard from your deck of dragons and warriors already, it is getting pathetic."

"Got it." said Makoto's body before there Eyes Lightened up a bit and turned green as he exited the dorm after grabbing His favorite Hoodie and sliding it over his bare chest. And walking toward his first class of the day… or that would be the case but he instead opened the door and walked right into the dainty figure of Celestia Ludenburg, sending both of them to the ground.

"Are you ok?" Asked Makoto as he jumped up onto his feet and tried to help Celeste up which she gratefully accepted.

"Thank you Makoto dear," said Celeste, "I am perfectly fine, I appreciate your concern no matter how unwarranted."

"Well I doubt that it is unwarranted, I was just worried about you." said Makoto before realizing something very important, "Wait a second what's wrong? You are running late for classes when you are normally the first one there. What's up with that?"

"As intuitive as ever! Well Makoto nothing is wrong with me and I do still plan to make it to class early, but really there is something i wanted to discuss with you and you alone but i have never gotten the chance because you are doing things after classes end for the day. That is why I am "late" as you call it, because I wished to talk and thought now was a good time."

"I see… you could have just asked during lunch though?" said Makoto before Celeste gave him what seemed to be a death stare, "But sure let's talk now! Hahahaha… Please stop looking at me like that."

"Fine, although it is fun to make somebody like you squirm, always so easy yet every reaction is so different. It could either be a blushing mess or just a slight blush, you could even make a game out of it if you wanted too. But they are not what I like to make blush the most... I like the strong and silent type, when they break they have the best reactions, from slight blushes to there face becoming redder than that of a tomato. Your reaction was on par to that of a strong and silent type, in fact when it comes to certain things on certain days you seem to be more silent than Sakura or more strong willed that Byakuya… why is that." asked Celeste

"I am just like that sometimes." said Makoto, "I always have been."

"But for what reason, you seem normal… to normal as a matter of fact, and that is almost paradoxical to anyone that has more than enough brain cells to do research on your family." said Celeste, "Manfred Naegi, son of Derdree and Donathan Aron both geniuses in there own right working as weapons manufacturing and Ryoko Naegi, an orphan child with her last name given to her by her husband and a master doctor and someone that worked with Kaiba Corp. long before Seto Kaiba came into his reign of the company. It is somehow amazing how somebody as normal seeming as you came from both of them… almost impossible in fact, isn't that right My Dear Seto Kaiba?"

If you Makoto/Seto could see there face there was something that was Consistent, it looked as if it was made of steel, Like it was Hardened despite being shaken by the news about somebody knowing… almost like he was expecting this to come. Makoto placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled softly before finally speaking, "I am sorry for not coming back all that time ago, Celestia."

"I knew you changed, but saying "sorry" was never something you used to say… I can't say that I don't mind it though." said Celestia, "You were never this kind before, it is very preciliure."

"Blame a long dead Pharaoh that just so happened to possess a puzzle for that, and the kid he attached himself to."

Celestia laughed slightly before saying, "That sounds like something out of a trashy manga or something."

"I guess it does, Doesn't it?" said Makoto with a slight laugh, "Though whatever happened is not really my story to tell, what is though is why I left you… I guess I did not feel like I deserved you after everything I did, So I left. I needed to have a break after everything and then more things happened that I could even understand. So I hope you forgive me."

"Oh Makoto, i doubt i could be mad at you," Said Celestia in a seductive tone as she drifted her hand over Makoto/Seto's body, "Distance makes the Heart grow fonder you know."

"What are you two doing?"

Makoto was now in total shock as he looked upon the other early rising female of the class in total shock, almost pushing Celeste as she jumped five feet in the air in total fear, meanwhile the insistent tone of laughter was echoing in his ears from his other self, "Sayaka! What are you doing here!"

"I just got here… Celeste, what were you doing with Makoto?" Asked Sayaka although it really did not feel like asking at all

"I was just reminiscing with him about the good old days, that's all!" said Celeste before Grabbing Makoto's hand and attempting to run… and failing brutally with Makoto himself doing his best rock impression and not moving from the spot he was planted in.

"I did not look like a simple reminiscing… in fact it looked like you were touching my man." said Sayaka before soon realizing what she said and blushed at the thought, "Please ignore that!"

"I doubt that I can, WHAT did you say, Makoto is not YOUR man in fact he is not even MY man. He is single currently and if I want to claim him as my own you are going to have to go through me AND him in order to do it!" Said Celeste in righteous fury

"Wait! Don't I have a say in this!"

"OH YHA, Time and place woman I will be there!" said Sayaka who scoffed at the notion of a challenge from the gothic lolita

"SAYAKA NO!"

"Time: Tomorrow after school! Place: The School field! Game of choice: DUEL MONSTERS!"

Makoto let out a breath that he was holding before realizing the last thing she said in full before finally gasping, "Sayaka don't take the deal!"

"DEAL!"

"God damn it." said Makoto as he started to comicaly kick in his own door

"You do realize who you are up against right? The ultimate gambler is challenging you to a game of skill and chance, do you really have a chance of winning?" asked Celestia

"Well I will have you know me and my band mates played all the time while on tour! I was unbeatable then and I will beat you now!"

"Sayaka, I know that you are a little excited about this, but are you sure that you are able to take not only Celestia but Myself as well in a duel?" asked Makoto, "It would be free for all rules of course but because of that would mean that both of us could potentially be ganging up on you!"

"I will be fine Makoto, Sure I may be at a disadvantage but that also goes for you and Celestia, so get ready for me when I come and defeat her."

"But you need to beat both of us." Sighed Makoto

"Leave her to her machinations, we need to head to class and get to work before Taka yells at us again." said Celestia, she started walking away before turning her head back toward both of them with a confident smirk on her face, "And besides you know full well that there is no way that she can defeat me, there would be no chance in hell that she could." She turned her head back, brought her hand to her mouth and laughed with a resounding, "OHOHOHOHOHOHO!"

"Are you sure about this Sayaka? This duel will likely be harder than any you have seen before." said Makoto

"I will be fine Makoto! If I am not sure about my deck I can just go to the card shop tonight after practice!"

"Alright… good luck Sayaka." said Makoto before walking off and grabbing his phone from his pocket and as if he vanished from thin air left the hall to the dorms as if he was never there.

"Well that was Ominous… but I am not going to let that stop me! This should be easy! I just need to get a few lucky draws and I should be golden!"

(A 14 hours later)

(Outside Fuyuki card shop)

"I am so screwed!"

Sayaka looked upon a bench of cards in the recent booster boxes that she bought, and to say that they were useless to her was an understatement. Every single one of the cards she drew were either vanilla monsters that she had no reason to use in the slightest, NONE of the cards fit what she was going for for the new deck she was building, and even after trying so hard and getting four of each box just to be certain got nothing of what she needed.

"What am I going to do now! I was hoping to get some of those new Synchro and Tuner monsters too… What am I going to do with any of this?" asked Sayaka although she knew nobody would answer

"Sayaka?"

"Huh" Sayaka turned back toward the voice to see a woman and a man duo the woman with long blond hair and much older looking than the male who had a brown mullet sitting atop his head carrying three sets of bags over and under his shoulder, both of them had the newest duel disk on there arm. Sayaka's Eyes Widened at the sight of them, "Mai-Sensei! Jonochi-Sensei!"

"What did I tell you about Honorifics ah!" said Jonochi with a smirk before it turned into a sad frown, "You're falling far enough to get that bunch of cards ey."

"Yha I guess so."

"What are you doing here this time of night darling?" asked Mai, "I thought you were going to Confess to Makoto today."

"Well… I was going to. But somebody else was going to as well and we came to an agreement to where we had to duel each other for him." said Sayaka

"Well… that is just stupid!" said Jonochi, "I might not be an Expert in terms of love but I would have told him right out the gate!"

"He is not entirely wrong, I kissed the boy once and here we are dating after he asked while I was visiting. I guess it worked out in the end though, I mean I did become your manager because of him, Sayaka!" said Mai

"Yha… oh what am i gonna do! I have been meaning to ask him for ages now, but I just never can." said Sayaka, "And now I gotta do this stupid duel against both Makoto AND Celestia tomorrow… how am I going to win this."

Both Jonochi and Mai looked at each other and smirked before Jonochi looked toward the bag under Mai's arm. She grabbed something out of the bag and tapped it against Sayaka's head. Sayaka looked up to see a black box, it looked like it was just a present, with it's pure black wrapping shining with the light coming from the store's windows, "This is for me?"

"Yup," said Mai, "I believe you earned it… after all I was going to give this to you today after practice."

Sayaka grabbed the box as a smell assaulted her nostrils. It was strangely pleasant, like the smell of flowers on a spring morning, but it also smelled a bit like a cheap perfume, it was strange but also strangely effective. She took the box to her lap and ripped open the wrapping with ease before removing the lid, Her eyes opened in shock before grabbing what was in the box. It was an old 1.0 duel disk but it seemed to be modified with all of the modern accessories, like an old extra deck port which held up to 30 cards but now it only held three. Sayaka took them out of the slot and gaped in shock before turning to Mai and Jonochi both of them had kind smiles on there faces, "You said you wanted to get one for yourself one day, and while yes it is a little old i think everything else makes up for it." said Mai

"B-But this is-"

"Stop," said Jonochi, "you know what she means. Passing the torch and all that crap, she obviously sees something in you to give you THAT deck, YOU earned it. Consider it as a present for allowing my girlfriend to be your manager and as your arsonal to get your man… ok Sayaka."

"Jonochi, Honey I was gonna say that!" said Mai with a pout before both he and Jonochi were enveloped in a great big hug by Sayaka with the duel disk long forgotten in the box it came in.

"Thank you."

(The Next Day)

(Hope's Peak Academy Field)

Three lone figures stood still on the field itself, each of them steeled for what was about to come. Makoto was adjusting to his old duel disk being on his arm again with actual cards in his hands. Sayaka was looking over her deck one final time before the big duel. And Celestia just stood still with a smile on her face.

"I guess we should get started," Said Makoto before setting his deck within the duel disk, "I want to get this over with."

"Oh? Are you worried that your defeat is going to be delayed?" asked Celeste

"I think he is more concerned about what is going to happen to you when you lose Celestia," Said Sayaka, "I plan to win this with a clean sweep!"

"I think we should get started then." said Makoto, in that instant his eyes turned blue before flashing back to Green as they all shouted, "DUEL!"

"Allow me to start this off, I DRAW!" said Celestia, ``I set four cards and play the field spell "Aroma Garden" and the continuous spell "Aroma Gardening"."

At that moment a gothic garden formed almost as if it was like magic with long and beautiful floral displays set up and magnificent hedge displays set up with one gazebo where celeste is standing, she pulled out a chair from the available table and sat down as she said, "With that, I end my turn."

"Then I will draw!" said Makoto, "I summon "Blue-Eyes White Mage" in attack mode!"

Behind Makoto was a blinding light and as it dissipated a "woman" in a pure white cloak posed and leaped over Makoto before he spoke again, "I activate its Effect! When "Blue-Eyes White Mage" is summoned I am able to special summon a "Blue-Eyes" monster in attack mode from my hand or deck, From my hand I summon "Blue-Eyes White Mercenary"!" Behind the mage was another bright light that dissipated To reveal another woman this time she could be seen more clearly as a muscular woman with pure white hair and blue eyes wearing nothing but white leather and silver armor with a giant sword in her hands and two large dragon wings on her back. "By using the effect of my monster in hand I am able to Special summon "Blue-Eyes White Rouge" from my hand!" and at that declaration a tall woman appeared behind Makoto wearing tight leathers that hugged her body and a white cloak that covered her face leaving a shroud of darkness around her face, "And after setting two cards I end my turn"

"And that Leaves me, I DRAW!" said Sayaka, "I summon Harpie Channeler!"

As soon as that was said A portal opened up behind Sayaka with a being being seen within the bright light of the portal before it burst from it in flurry of black feathers before they landed on the ground as a talloned foot was thrust onto the ground with a woman with a serious looking face and pure orange hair and pure black winged arms.

"WHAT THE!" Shouted Makoto, "Harpies!"

"So you have some rare cards… that won't help you win in the end."

"But you forget Celeste I am not done with my turn yet! I activate its effect and discard one "Harpie" monster from my hand and summon one "Harpie" Monster from my deck, I summon "Harpie Orical"!"

And once again a portal with a Harpie inside but this time it was only a few feet from the ground, A smaller version of the earth came out of the portal with a clawed hand attached to it before the portal was thrust downward to reveille a regal yet voluptuous bird woman in tight clothes witch matched her bright blue eyes and hair.

"I activate "Harpie Orical's" Secondary Effect! When she is Special summoned I can search out one Spell card that relates to "Harpies" And I search out "Elegant Egotist", which I activate as soon as it is in the hand! I summon another "Harpie" Monster from my deck and I summon "Harpie Lady"!"

A Mirror suddenly appeared behind "Harpie Channeler" but instead of another version of herself it was a taller and more voluptuous woman with pink hair in nothing but a leather bodysuit, the glass shattered and the monster took to the skies with a flirtatious smirk.

"Since i have two "Harpie" monsters on the field is can Synchro Summon a "Harpy" Monster from my extra deck without a tuner monster, I SYNCHRO SUMMON A MONSTER! Seductress of beauty and honor come from the portal above and show the world your fierce power! CYBER SLASH HARPIE LADY!"

Both "Harpie Lady" and "Harpie Channeler" both burst into a pillar of light before converging together into a blinding white portal, with a lone voluptuous looking bird woman walking through the portal until finally a talloned foot stepped out before rest thrust out of the being in pure gold armor and black leather that was form fit to her body as her pink hair fell down past her hips as she finally stepped onto the ground with bareilly even a thud as she gracefully landed beside Sayaka before getting onto her knees and hugging Sayaka and Giving off a small motherly smile to the woman in her arms. "I wish to continue, thank you for the hug though." said Sayaka, "It seems that this new AI program I installed was a little too realistic, not that I mind, I activate Harpies Hunting Ground from my hand and end my turn."

"An interesting first turn, it seems that you two are smart enough not to attack me in this state." said Celestia, "But you are going to have to attack me at some point. You know that in order for me to lose you need to attack me, so once again I shall draw. I drew the card "Aromage Jasmine" and I summon it to the field"

As soon as the card was slapped onto her duel disk there was rustling in the nearby bushes to Celestes Gazebo before a child with pure white hair ran out of the bushes with a pot of herbs in hand before she ran up into the gazebo and placed the pot onto the table before turning and facing the other monsters on the field. Celeste drew a card from her Deck and spoke, "After activating the effect of "Aroma Garden", which allows me to gain 500 life points when I have an "Aroma" Monster on the field, I can activate the effect of Jasmine from my field which allows me to draw one card from my deck. I activate the second Effect of Jasmine which allows me to summon an "Aroma" monster from my hand when my Life Points are Higher than My Opponent, I summon "Aromage Rosemary"."

The sound of footsteps echoed around the gazebo as a woman in all blue with light blue hair walked around the Gazebo next until it was next to Jasmine where it just gave a kind smile.

"I end my turn… you are next Makoto."

"I guess I draw. I activate the effect of Rouge from my field and bring one monster that was used to summon it at the cost of destroying Rouge to do so." said Makoto as he drew a card from the graveyard slot of his duel disk before placing rouge in the slot, "I summon "Blue-Eyes White Knight" from the graveyard and I normal Summon "Blue-Eyes White Cavalier"."

Once again a Pillar of blinding light was seen throughout the field before the light dissipated to reveal a woman in full armor with white dragon wings riding a horse with a lance in hand.

"I activate the effect of Cavalier which allows me to tribute it for its evolved form, "Blue-Eyes White Paladin ``!''

As that was said the Cavalier dropped its lance and grabbed it's shield before it tossed it in the air, the shield changed before shocked "Blue-Eyes White Cavalier" and a bright light erupted across the field before the shield fell back into the hand of another armored woman this time with her face clear of obstructions as her hair fell down her back before wrapping around she spear as she removed it from the ground.

"I activate "Blue-Eyes White Knights" Effect which allows it to be used as a polymerization for a "Blue-Eyes" fusion monster but it and the fusion Materials are returned to the field with it's destruction. I use it with "Blue-Eyes White Paladin" and Fusion Summon "Blue-Eyes White Great Knight"!"

Both of the Armored women both erupted in a pillar of white lightning before they converged into one and dissipated into a woman in heavy armor with an almost large axe in hand sitting atop a horse that was also in heavy armor.

"If Paladin I am able to summon "Blue-Eyes White Cavalier" back to the field as long it is not used to bring Paladin back from the grave this turn." said Makoto as he put the card back on the field before pulling out a card from his hand, "I activate the effect of "Polymerization"! Which allows me to fuse my monsters together in order to make a new monster! I summon using "Blue-Eyes White Mage" and "Blue-Eyes Whte Cavalier" in order to summon "Blue-Eyes White Mage Knight"!"

The Lightning flashed again and this time covered the field before the two beings that were enveloped in the light were only one, the light dissipated to reveal a woman in white ropes with a staff in hand flying not with her wings but with the power of magic.

"I activate her effect, which allows me to block out the effects of spell cards and trap cards until the end of my next turn!" said Makoto, "Sorry to do this to you Celestia, but I got to end this now, I activate the effect of "Blue-Eyes Great Knight"! At the cost of halfing my current ATK points for all my monsters all my monsters can Attack Directly! ATTACK MY MONSTERS!"

The monsters charged at Celeste with an almost speed or that was before she flipped over a card on her duel disk after "Blue-Eyes White Mercenary" dealt the first blow. "I activate the effect of "Aromage Vanilla" from my deck!"

"What the!"

"Aromage Vanilla Allows all the damage I would take by battle be turned into life points, sadly though this monster needs to be sent to the grave afterwards." said Celestia, "your current monsters have in total Have 4'050 attack points so I gain that much Life points which allows me to use the effect of both "Aromage Jasmine" and "Aromage Rosemary"!" She drew a card and changed the position of "Aromage Jasmine" without saying a word.

"Then I guess i end my turn." said Makoto

"I guess it is my turn." Said Sayaka, "I DRAW!" as she looked upon the card in her hand she flinched and looked upon her hand, it was mainly spells and one or two monsters… this was a problem. 'What the hell am I going to do! Makoto Basically just locked me out of ninety percent of my monsters! And there is no telling what will happen if Celestia uses another one of those deck trap cards she has! I got to play it safe.', "I set a Monster face down card and End my turn"

"I Draw for a turn then." Said Celestia, "Because I have More life points than both of you I am able to Normal Summon my monsters twice thanks to "Aromage Jasmine" Effect. I summon "Aromage Canaga" in Attack Mode."

One again from the bushes came a young male with pure blond hair wearing green robes and a staff in hand with the smell of a canaga candle wafting through the air with a fresh smell of upturned earth came with it, he turned his head toward the other monsters on the field and raised his hands toward them. Vines suddenly burst from the ground in spectacular fashion and they wrapped around every single monster on the field before binding them in until they formed a bridge of vines with Canaga flowers blooming from them and some of the monsters as well.

"What the hell?"

"Canaga's Effect."

"What!" asked Sayaka as she looked over to Makoto too see he was wincing at the site of his monsters being bound in such strange ways

"His effect is simple, when the user gain Life points he is able to bring spell cards on the opponent's side of the field back to their users hand, but when his user's life points are higher than her opponents, Canaga is able to decrees his opponents ATK and DEF points by 500… look at our monsters."

Sayaka looked down at her duel disk, her eyes widened in shock at what she saw.

"That is the thing, it is not a powerful monster, at least on it's own. Like how it is not the strongest smelling herb in Aromatherapy. It is thematic in a way, that the weakest monster in terms of raw effectiveness is the strongest of the bunch in there current state. But you must remember I still have things I can do with this game. So I ask you both, are you ready for the monster I drew last turn?
