"Ready to talk?"

For a moment, Peter hoped, prayed and even wished this was some kind of nightmare where he would wake up any second and find himself laying flat on his bed. But that was not the case. This was real. So real that Peter thought it was going to haunt him for years to come. That is if he survived to talk about it. Brian had been absolutely adamant that he was going to prove him criminal. His body ached from the beatings and the position he was forced to be in. The handcuffs were tightly clasped on his wrists which were painfully pulling his shoulders. With a grimace, the boy tried to shift in a comfortable position but found none

Brian gently blew air and took a sip from the mug as he walked towards Peter "Didn't I teach you to answer me whenever I ask you a question?"

Peter shuddered, immediately nodding. The huge man was intimidating and overpowering all his inner and outer strength "I swear Mr McLouth, I don't sell drugs.. I have never even seen the boy before. We just met two days back in the alley"

"What were you doing in the alley?" Brian asked, satisfaction flashing over his face, feeling like a winner that he finally got the boy to speak. He half sat on the table, one leg hanging out as he hovered over Pete with dark eyes

"I was returning home after school when I heard voices com..." Peter coughed. He felt pressure in his chest and lungs tighten with every breath he took. His throat was completely dry which didn't allow him to settle down and he kept coughing. The teen looked at Brian with hopeful eyes "Wa.. Water.."

A frustrated sigh was the response given by Brian who got up and opened the door partially "I need a glass of water!"

A minute later there was a knock and Peter licked his dry lips, looking longingly at the cold glass of water, fingers twitching to get his hands on the liquid. He was very thirsty and wanted to drink more than one glass. His body perked up a little when Brian brought the glass close to him but held it in mid air "You want to drink this?"

Peter nodded vigorously, coughing through his dry mouth "Please"

Brian placed the glass near Peter's lips. Just when Peter was about to take a sip, he pulled back the last second "I still need answers"

Peter glared at the man who seemed unfazed as he waited for him to speak. This went on for another minute before his shoulders hunched, admitting his defeat only because he wanted to drink water "I heard voices coming from the alley. I decided to check and saw this boy.. maybe my age... he was picking something from behind the dumpster. At first I didn't notice anything but then a small white packet fell from his bag. I called him out and handed his packet. After that he ran away without saying a word. I swear I didn't know it was drugs... I thought it might be his food. It was wrapped in white and sliver foil paper"

Brian's stare was uncomfortable. It was as if there was no life behind those eyes. Every flick of his eyes, betrayed his intentions and none of them were noble. Before Peter could react, Brian grabbed his fingers and dipped them into his hot coffee "Are you tired of being alive? I was being generous to you by giving you ten minutes and all you did was come up with a lame story!" he snarled looking extremely angry and dangerous

Peter screamed. A gut wrenching and heart breaking scream tore from his mouth that shook the four walls. Invisible flame burned his delicate skin. His legs thrashed underneath the table as pain exploded in his fingers, surging through his entire arm. He screamed until he was hoarse, body shaking in chilled air "STOP! PL.. PLEASE STOP!" his breathing ragged and forced

Brian let go of Peter's hand and caught his jaw "I swear if you..."

The door opened and Brian reluctantly pulled his hand off. Peter saw with blurry eyes as another suited man enter the room. He moved closer to cradle his hand to his chest, tears of pain dropping on his skin which already appeared red with blisters. He took shallow gasps and saw the new officer whisper something in Brian's ears. The teen silently cried out in relief when Brian huffed out an angry breath and stormed out of the room

FEW HOURS LATER

Tony stretched his sore muscles, moving his head from side to side to remove the kinks. He had gotten couple of hours of sleep last night and it was enough for him to get on with his day. He blindly reached out for his phone to read Peter's good morning message. It had been a routine for him since last two months and frankly speaking, he got fond of it too. The kid usually sends him two messages and a picture of him with a peace sign, smiling broadly which always brightened his day.

"Huh... this is weird" commented Tony when he didn't find any messages from Peter. Maybe the kid was still sleeping. He decided to take a shower and then check his phone again. Another twenty minutes later, the man felt worry creep through his heart. This was so not like Peter. The boy never once failed to message him so what happened today "Nah... I'm thinking too much. He's just probably busy in school"

Tony's eyes widened a little when he remembered Peter mentioning about an important chemistry test. What if the boy studied whole night and is still sleeping. He had to know where was the kid, just to make sure he wouldn't miss his test "FRIDAY call Peter"

FRIDAY : "Calling Peter Parker" Al replied after a minute "I'm sorry Boss, Mr Parker is not responding"

"Try again"

FRIDAY : I can't reach him

"Is he still sleeping or what?" Tony questioned, confusion clouding his face. He hoped the boy was okay and wasn't coming down with something, like maybe flu or cold

FRIDAY : Scanning for Peter Parker

Tony waited with baited breath

FRIDAY : Mr Parker is not in his house

"What?" Tony tried not to panic as his mind searched for another option "See if he's reached school. Maybe he's in class and switched off his cell"

FRIDAY : My scans show Mr Parker's phone is still in his house and he's not at school too

Tony didn't even know when his heart had started beating faster "How is that possible? Why would he leave without his phone? Track him down now!"

FRIDAY : I'm sorry Boss but Mr Parker doesn't have anything on him for me to track

"Not even his watch?"

"Negative Boss"

Tony stood rigid for few seconds. Where was Peter? Did something happen to him? What if someone knew about his identity and kidnapped him? Was he in trouble? A wave of fear cursed through his body and it ached his heart in an unexplainable way. Just when he was going to enter in full blown panic, a thought crossed his mind "FRIDAY check the cameras outside Peter's house. The one installed at George's Grocery which is right in front of his house. Tell me what time he got out"

FRIDAY : Sure Boss. I'll play the footage for you now.

A screen popped infront of Tony and his body froze at the scene. A huge offending arm held Peter by his elbow who was was being dragged from his house. He could see the shiny layers of tears on the boy's face and his blood boiled. Anger exploded like a bomb in his chest when he saw Peter's head being slammed on the car by the man who didn't even seem to be guilty of his actions. That was a police cruiser. Why did they arrest Peter? On what basis?

Thousands of questions bombarded Tony's mind to which he had no answers "FRIDAY who the hell are they?"

FRIDAY : NYPD

Tony was even more baffled "Why did NYPD arrest Peter?"

FRIDAY : I've no idea Boss. From the scans I can say they took Peter to the main station and he hasn't come out yet

"But..." Tony felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and he pulled the device out only to frown at the screen "Hello? Who's this?"

"Mr...Star.. Mr Stark?" came Peter's gurgled voice and Tony's heart skipped a beat "Peter?"

"Mr Stark... Please C..Come for me"
