Ichigo's second battle in the Champion League has begun. His opponent was Shusuke Amagai, the one who specializes in fire-types. The battle started with it being Palpitoad against Magcargo with Palpitoad being the winner. However, Shusuke's second pokemon, Talonflame, evened the score with them down one pokemon each. Now, the rest of this battle continues.

(Ichigo's voice) Fierce as a Dragon

"Frillish, I choose you!" Ichigo said as he released his second pokemon.

"Frillish!"

"Ichigo is going with Frillish as his second pokemon, but can Frillish keep up with Talonflame?"

"Frillish? It's not a Jellicent?" Shusuke said.

"Frillish doesn't need to evolve to be a tough pokemon." Ichigo said.

"Wise words. Let's find out how tough your Frillish really is." Shusuke said. "Talonflame, let's start that test with Flame Charge!" Talonflame coated itself with fire and flew right at Frillish. The attack came in so fast that there was no time to react. Frillish got hit by the attack, but was able to endure.

"Talonflame is getting faster and faster. We better do something about that." Ichigo said. "Can't really hit what they can't see. Frillish, conceal yourself with Mist!" Frillish breathed out a cloud of mist and it covered the whole field with Frillish hiding in it.

"Where is it?" Shusuke said as he and Talonflame looked around for Frillish. "I think I know what they're trying to do."

"Now use Water Pulse!" Ichigo said. Frillish attacked from the mist.

"I knew it. Talonflame, Substitute!" Shusuke said. Talonflame made a copy of itself and flew in the way of the attack with it taking it.

"What just happened?" Orihime said.

"Substitute creates a decoy that takes the attacks." Rukia explained. "However, it does drain some energy. Let's just hope Ichigo can use it to his benefit."

"Talonflame avoided taking major damage, but Mist still covers the field with Frillish somewhere inside."

"I think it's time we turned up the heat. Now use Fire Blast!" Shusuke said. Talonflame unleashed a blast of fire that spread in five parts. It blasted into the ground and made the mist vanish with Frillish being revealed. "There it is! Now use Sky Attack!" Talonflame was coated in a gold energy and flew straight at Talonflame.

"I don't think so! Now use Hex!" Ichigo said. Frillish tapped into his ghost powers and was able to stop Talonflame before the attack landed. "Water Pulse!" Frillish was able to blast Talonflame. Talonflame took some real damage from that attack and was knocked out of the battle."

"Talonflame is unable to battle! Frillish is the winner!" The referee said.

"Ichigo wins again with Shusuke down to just two pokemon!"

"You were true to your word, Ichigo. Even though Frillish hasn't evolved, it proved to be a tough pokemon." Shusuke complimented.

"I know. Nice work, Frillish." Ichigo said with Frillish feeling proud of himself.

"But it will be a different story with my next pokemon." Shusuke said as he got his next pokemon ready. "Arcanine, burn!"

"Ar!"

"Shusuke's third pokemon is Arcanine. With it being another fire-type, will it beat Frillish or will Frillish win this?"

"Let's take Arcanine down fast! Frillish, Water Pulse!" Ichigo said. Frillish acted fast and tried attacking Arcanine with Water Pulse, but Arcanine jumped right over the attack and caused it to miss.

"We'll end this in one shot. Use Crunch, Arcanine!" Shusuke siad. Arcanine charged right at Frillish and took a large bite out of Frillish. Arcanine thrashed Frillish around like a chew toy until Arcanine tossed him aside and showed that Frillish was taken out.

"Frillish is unable to battle! Arcanine is the winner!" The referee said.

"As quickly as the battle began, it ended with Frillish taken out."

"That was a well timed attack." Rukia said as Frillish was brought back to his pokeball. "With Water Pulse missing, Frillish was wide open."

"Ichigo wasn't going to use Gyarados for this battle. Without water-types, this battle will be a little more difficult." Chad said.

"He'll find a way. He always does." Orihime said.

"Gliscore, you're up next!" Ichigo said.

"Gliscore!"

"Ichigo is taking to the sky himself as he uses Gliscore as his third pokemon."

"Stone Edge, let's go!" Ichigo said. Gliscore came straight down and smashed his claw against the ground. Rocks came straight out and went at Arcanine.

"Arcanine, Extreme Speed!" Shusuke said. Arcanine moved incredibly fast to avoid the attack and went at Gliscore. Arcanine tackled against Gliscore and sent Gliscore flying in the air.

"There goes Gliscore!"

"Gliscore, regain your balance!" Ichigo said. Gliscore tried fixing itself and was able to balance itself in the air. "Now use Knock Off!" Gliscore came down straight at Arcanine with Gliscore ready to attack.

"Fire Blast!" Shusuke said. Arcanine used the attack and was able to blast Gliscore out of the sky. Gliscore crashed into the ground and took some damage. "Now use Flame Wheel!" Arcanine coated itself in fire and formed a wheel to strike Gliscore.

"Gliscore, Screech as loud as you can!" Ichigo said. Gliscore unleashed a loud and painful-sounding screech. It stopped Arcanine in its tracks as it couldn't take the sound. "Now use Stone Edge!" Gliscore was able to use the attack and the rocks smashed against Arcanine. "Attack now with Knock Off!" Gliscore flew at Arcanine and smashed its claw against Arcanine.

"Bite down with Crunch! Don't let it flyaway!" Shusuke said. Arcanine was able to bite on Gliscore's tail.

"Use Knock Off again and again!" Ichigo said. Gliscore kept smashing its claw against Arcanine's head to try and get free. Gliscore kept it going until it was finally able to escape.

"Neither side appears to be backing down as they keep attacking each other!"

"Now use Fire Blast!" Shusuke said. Arcanine unleashed the attack and it exploded with Gliscore appearing to get caught in it. "Did that finish it?!"

"Gliscore, Stone Edge!" Ichigo said. Gliscore showed itself next to Arcanine with Shusuke surprised by that.

"It must have somehow slipped away!" Shusuke said. Gliscore used Stone Edge and the rocks smashed against Arcanine with Arcanine taken out of the battle as well.

"Arcanine is unable to battle! Gliscore is the winner!" The referee said.

"It's done now! Shusuke is down to his last pokemon! One more win and Ichigo will beat two of the Elite Four!"

"Well, Ichigo, you've done well to make it this far." Shusuke said as he was getting his last pokemon ready. "However, this last pokemon is my best, and you know who it is." Ichigo did. He readied himself for this. "Magmortar, burn!"

"Magmortar!"

"Shusuke's last pokemon is Magmortar. Will Magmortar be able to help Shusuke win this?"

"Magmortar... It was Shusuke's first pokemon and was gone for a long time to get stronger for Shusuke. No telling what's going to come out of there." Ichigo said. "Gliscore, get ready." Gliscore readied itself with Ichigo acting first. "Gliscore, Knock Off!" Gliscore flew straight at Magmortar and was ready to attack.

"Clear Smog!" Shusuke said. Magmortar breathed out a cloud. Gliscore flew right into it and was taking some damage from it.

"Pull back!" Ichigo said. Gliscore moved back and got out of the smog. "Now use Stone Edge!" Gliscore caused rocks to shoot out again, but Shusuke was ready for it this time.

"Hyper Beam!" Shusuke said. Magmortar held out its arm and fired a powerful beam that blasted right through the rocks. Gliscore got hit by the attack and was blown into the wall with Gliscore taken out.

"Gliscore is unable to battle! Magmortar is the winner!" The ref declared. Ichigo is now down to his last pokemon. Even so, he still has a chance to win this.

"Pretty good, Shusuke. Although, I still have one pokemon left and this one is going to be tough to beat. This one is one of my better battlers." Ichigo said as he got his last pokemon ready. "Haxorus, I choose you!"

"Haxorus!"

"Ichigo's last pokemon is Haxorus!"

"I thought as much. Now, time to let these two pour out the fire they're feeling!" Shusuke said.

"We'll give you some firepower. Haxorus, Rock Smash!" Ichigo said. Haxorus charged right at Magmortar and smashed one of its tusk against it. The strange thing was that Magmortar allowed the attack to hit. It didn't make sense until they saw a blaze of fire burn against Haxorus. "What the heck?!"

"There's Magmortar's ability: Flame Body! Making direct contact with Magmortar has burned Haxorus."

"And Haxorus is going to continue loosing energy. Now use Hammer Arm, Magmortar!" Shusuke said. Magmortar went at Haxorus and smashed one of its arms against Haxorus.

"We'll still fight back! Dual Chop!" Ichigo said. Haxorus had dragon energy flow into its tusks and slashed both of them against Magmortar. "Now use Brutal Swing!" Haxorus had dark energy flow into its tail and smashed it against Magmortar.

"Magmortar, Fire Punch!" Shusuke said. Magmortar fought through it and smashed a fiery fist and hit Haxorus right in the face. "Now use Clear Smog!" Magmortar breathed out smog right in Haxorus' face. Haxorus took some damage from that and from the burn.

"This is bad. Haxorus is quickly loosing energy." Rukia said.

"Ichigo's got to do something fast or else he's going to lose." Chad said.

"Push through! Haxorus, Rock Smash!" Ichigo said. Haxorus kept on fighting as it smashed its tusk against Magmortar and knocked it back.

"That's what I like to see! Magmortar, Hammer Arm!" Shusuke said. Magmortar went at Haxorus again and smashed its arm against Haxorus' head. Haxorus also suffered from the burn again. "Now use Hyper Beam!" Magmortar blasted Haxorus being so close and caused massive destruction.

"That had to have hurt! With Haxorus already suffering from the burn, could this be the end of the battle?" Shusuke thought it was, but Haxorus showed it was still standing strong.

"It's still standing?!" Shusuke said.

"It's going to take more than that to keep Haxorus down. Haxorus has been through some hard times, but that only made it stronger." Ichigo said. "Brutal Swing!" Haxorus swung its tail and smashed it against Magmortar. The battle was starting to catch up to Magmortar. All those powerful attacks are starting to take its toll on both pokemon.

"I'm impressed with how this battle goes. I heard that dragon-types and fire-types can be compatible with each other." Shusuke said. "I knew this would make a great battle, but I think it's time we ended this."

"Bring it on." Ichigo said as he was ready.

"Magmortar, Fire Punch!" Shusuke said.

"Giga Impact!" Ichigo said. Both pokemon used their attacks and it looked like it was going to be a powerful collision. The two of them collided and tried to push the other back. The power struggle between two powerful pokemon caused an explosion to go off in the center of the field.

"What an explosion?! What happened to the pokemon?!" They all waited for the dust to clear away. It showed that both pokemon took a lot of damage and could barely stand. In the end...Haxorus was the one standing and Magmortar collapsed.

"Magmortar is unable to battle! Haxorus is the winner! Victory goes to Ichigo!" The referee said. Everyone cheered loudly. That's now two members of the Elite Four Ichigo has defeated.

"We won!" Ichigo said as he and Absol rushed over to Haxorus. "You okay, big guy?" Haxorus appeared to be okay. It was just proud that it did its trainer well.

"Nicely done, Ichigo." Shusuke said as he had Magmortar return. "You've truly earned your place here." Ichigo has done rather well. There are only two more battles to face before Kisuke. Speaking of which, all of them were in a private place in the stands to witness the battles.

"He really knows how to battle." Kisuke said.

"I suppose he isn't doing too bad." Kagerosa said. As for Muramasa, he got up from his seat and was heading out.

"Muramasa, where are you going?" Kariya asked.

"To get myself ready. I will be Ichigo Kurosaki's next opponent." Muramasa said.

Ichigo has defeated Shusuke. That's two down and only two to go before he can challenge Kisuke. Can he keep this winning streak up? Stay tune to find out.
