Thank you so much Leann Nickerson, Secretwrittenword, Kathy and Blondie 20000 for all the encouragement! Thank you to everyone who has favorite and followed this story too!

Kathy: Yup Sam needs his Dad as much as Dean needs him so I'm happy John had a small moment to shine in that last part. I don't think Caleb wasn't thinking about the Druids as much as the only one he really would know and trust is Eabha and she was in Ireland.

Blondie 20000: I knew Jared audition back in the day for Scooby Doo but I never knew he auditioned for Shaggy! I just assumed it would have been Freddie. Oh my, no he may have the long hair but Jared is wayyyy to muscular for Shaggy (like Thelma gushed...'those shoulders'!). I'm with you...I just can't see that at all ? ゚ᄂᆪ?.

Okay so this chapter is just basically fluff...fluff and oh yeah more fluff ?. The men decide to give Dean a real Thanksgiving dinner. Oh yeah John and Sam realize that maybe Caleb isn't the best babysitter here too ?.

Chapter 12

"Artie say gobble gobble," Dean commanded the dog who was currently sitting on the floor next to his best friend who was bouncing up and down.

"Dean, Artie can't say gobble gobble. He's a dog and says woof woof," Sam explained to his hyped up brother. John snorted when the dog immediately returned Sam's greeting and barked at him.

Sam sighed as Dean turned and ran towards the kitchen screaming, "ME WANT PIE!"

"NO!" John and Sam both shouted as they ran after the toddler. John picked up his son from behind, holding him under his little armpits and Sam couldn't help laughing when the child's legs continue to move like he was still running.

"Daddy...pie...please," Dean said as his father turned him so that he was facing him.

"No more pie. We're going to be eating in a bit," John told the child.

"Pie pleaseeeeee" Dean begged his father's.

"Nope, sorry Ace. How about I take you to the school playground so you can run off some of that excess energy instead." John said in hopes of distracting his pie eating monster.

"Good idea," Sam agreed as he went over to the closet and grabbed Dean's coat, scarf and mittens. Between the two hunters it only took them ten minutes to wrestle the child into his outerwear.

Sam held a protesting Dean who was insisting his tummy needed pie while his father slipped on his own coat. He was just passing the child to John when Caleb came in and asked, "little dude, what's with all the shouting?"

"Oh I don't know, might have something to do with some idiot giving him not one but two slices of P-I-E as a snack," John hissed regarding the highly hyper child.

Caleb winced, "guess that wasn't such a good idea...huh."

"Ya think," Sam huffed as he followed his father towards the door. "Can you handle him by yourself?"

John went to say of course he could handle his son alone but then he saw the way Dean kept looking around frantically, his eyes wide open and instead turned to the instigator and said. "Don't worry, Caleb's coming too. He can chase after your brother."

The other hunter gulped when he saw the way Sam was holding Dean who was bouncing excitedly as he gushed about the slide, the swings and the tunnels and that he was gonna be fastest ever. He went to say he told Jim he would help him with something...anything but knew there was no way he was getting out of it and said, "let me grab my coat."

Two hours later Caleb collapsed on the couch as Dean rested against his father, snoring softly. "Ninety minutes Jim. He was just a flash of color that I did nothing but run after for ninety minutes. Finally John got him to go on the swing and boom...he was out like a light."

"Aww there's nothing like a sugar rush and crash," Sam said with a chuckle. "I took the bird out and it's resting and I just put the potatoes and carrots on to boil. So we should be ready to eat in an hour."

John smiled at his son, he had insisted on doing a real Thanksgiving dinner for Dean and from the smells coming from the kitchen it was going to be delicious.

"So when will Eabha be here?" Jim asked.

"I'm picking her up tomorrow afternoon," he said. "I told her she was welcome for dinner but she didn't want to intrude."

John cleared his throat as he looked over at his sleeping son and said, "did she say if we need to prepare him before she gets here?"

Caleb smiled at his old friend. John had made the decision that if she had a way to give his son his life back then he wouldn't stop her. "She's just coming to meet Dean. To see how powerful the magic is surrounding the spell. She won't be doing anything tomorrow."

"Right," the elder Winchester said as the toddler in question turned and snuggled closer to him. He smiled down at his son as he wrapped his arm his small body.

Jim knew how much his friend and Sam were hurting at the thought of the blessing coming to an end sooner rather than later but he was actually proud of John's decision. He had told Sam that John may surprise them and he had. His decision was for what he thought Dean would want and that really was what mattered most of all.

John strapped Dean into his high chair as Caleb and Jim helped Sam carried in the food to the dining room.

"You ready for dinner Ace?"

Dean yawned as he rubbed his sleepy eyes. "We eat gobble gobble now?"

"Yup we're having gobble gobble," Caleb told him as Sam came in carrying said turkey.

Soon each man had a plate in front of them laden with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables and buttered rolls. Dean's eye widened at the plate his Daddy put in front of him. It was nowhere near as much food as the men but it was still impressive.

Sam chuckled at his brother's expression. "Do you think you can eat all that Bud?"

The men chuckled when Dean nodded his head quickly as he looked at his plate.

Two hours later the leftovers were put away and the dishes were done. Caleb and John were sitting in the living room watching the late afternoon game as Dean snuggle next to Sam who was reading "The Gingerbread Man" to his brother.

They all looked up when Jim walked in holding his hands behind his back and looked at the television. "Seems like I'm just in time," he announced as halftime was called.

"Time for what?" Caleb asked.

"Well I thought you men might like to toss around the old pigskin," he announced as he pulled his hands out and showed them a small nerf football.

"Thought you said the old pigskin," Caleb said with a chuckle as he caught the ball.

"Little fingers," Jim reminded him.

Sam smiled as he looked at his father, Caleb and Jim. "I think we're up for a game of football. What do you say Dean…the Winchester brothers and Artie against Dad, Uncle Jim and Caleb?"

Dean nodded his head head as he clapped his hands in excitement. John laughed as he said, "well you need to put your shoes on and your coat and then we can go play."

Dean didn't need to be told twice as he went over and grabbed his sneakers before running back to the couch and held them up to his brother and said. "help please."

"Sure thing," Sam told him as he helped him with his shoes while Caleb grabbed his coat.

A few minutes later Sam was squatting next to his brother on the front lawn who was patting Artie. "Okay Dean now you have to do exactly what I tell you so we can score."

"Artie play too?" He ask as he took a few seconds to hug his best friend.

"Yup…Artie play too. Okay Bud listen up," he told him as he leaned forward and whispered in his brother's ear.

"15…8…hut…hut…hike!" Caleb called out as he tossed the little football between his legs back towards John.

John had barely straighten up to start to run when he suddenly had a giggling thirty pound toddler wrapping himself around his leg. "Hey!"

"Me got Daddy!" Dean cried out. "Sammy me axle Daddy!"

John laughed as he pretended to fall forward, careful of the child holding on for dear life. "Ohhh Dean tackled me," John said as he felt his son basically climb him like he was a tree and laid down across his back.

Dean also 'tackled' Jim and Caleb before finally Sam passed the ball (of course the other team had to give him a minute to make sure the child had a good grip on it) and Dean turned and ran smack dab into Jim.

John and Caleb couldn't help laughing when Dean dropped to his hand and knees, put the ball down...crawled through the older man's legs and then reached back and grabbed the ball much to the other men chagrin before running over the field goal line they had marked.

"Woohoo and the Winchester brothers win!" Sam shouted as he ran over to Dean and showed him how to spike the ball.

"Nice… teaching him to be a sore winner." Caleb teased as he watched Sam showing Dean how to do a touchdown celebration dance.

"Okay, I vote we go inside and watch the end of the game," John said as he shook his head at his sons.

"I vote we have some pie," Jim said.

"PIE!" Dean shouted as he ran over to Jim and hopped up and down. "Me want pie!"

John, Sam and Caleb sighed at the thought of the child having more sugar. John went over and lifted Dean up. "One small slice of apple pie," he told his son in defeat. He just couldn't say no to his little pie eating monster.

Sam smiled as Dean grinned and nodded his head before quickly agreeing, 'okay Daddy'. Who knew Dean's obsession for pie started at such an early age.
