Carmeara.
She had been so close. She had washed her beloved Trigger in the void of darkness, despite his attempts to resist it. And he had cast off the ugly new appearance he had taken on all those years ago to return to his beautiful original form, the one that used the darkness like she did. But then, as Trigger was passionately destroying everything those pathetic humans had been allowed to build, she felt new memories come to her, from 30 million years ago. Her beloved Trigger hadn't been swayed away from her. His mind had been poisoned by a human, Kengo Manaka, one who had somehow managed to persist through the ages, much like Yuzare's spirit. And not only had Kengo Manaka returned in the present, having now made his uglier version of Trigger a separate entity, and not only did he manage to gain a sample of the Eternity Core, using it to further defile her lover's visage, but he then he had the audacity to proceed to destroy her beloved. She would have punished his insolence there and then, we're it not for her meddlesome subordinates.
But, having calmed down from her initial rage, Carmeara now had a clear objective, in addition to acquiring the Eternity Core's power. She would find Kengo Manaka, she would make him suffer as much as she had at his hands and then she would avenge her love's demise. Now that would make her, as Kengo Manaka so often said, "smile, smile".
Darrgon.
Darrgon wasn't the brightest torch in the cave. That was something other people, both humans and his fellow Dark Giants, had made abundantly clear to him. But he did have some understanding of the situation.
Back in the good old days, Trigger had been a close comrade and frequent sparring partner. When the latter had turned to the light, while Carmeara had taken it as a betrayal and Hudram had taken it as an inevitability come to pass, Darrgon had taken it as a new challenge to overcome. Though he hadn't had much of an opportunity to face the new Trigger before he was entombed for millennia, his release in the present had afforded him another opportunity. Though after their first battle, the other two had forbidden him from actively pursuing his worthy opponent in favour of getting the girl who had the Eternity Core. While at first slightly frustrated at this new work for him, he had come to love it… especially when the girl proved herself worthy of him, even if she was rejecting his advances. And then Carmeara had brought Trigger back to the darkness, which left Darrgon disappointed, but at least they could continue where they left off. Or so he had thought. Not only had Trogger rejected Darrgon's aid against himself and then fell in battle with the new Trigger.
Still, Darrgon was never one to back down from a challenge. The old Trigger may have been gone, but there was a new one for him to face, one with the power of the Eternity Core at his disposal. Darrgon would be able to kill two Birdons with one sword by defeating him.
Hudram.
Once more, Hudram had decided to go off on his own. It was the best thing he could do to be alone with his thoughts. As he'd expected, Trigger had turned out to be their enemy, even when split between his dark and light incarnations. He had spent centuries back in the day trying to warn the other two that Trigger would one day betray them. But Darrgon hadn't believed him and Carmeara wouldn't hear of it, violently punishing him for daring to suggest it. Now that he had been proven right not once, but twice, he had wisely decided to avoid Carmeara when thinking about it. Now he was investigating the site of the previous battle once more, looking for more clues. He knew that Trigger wouldn't allow himself to be destroyed so easily, least of all by a human like Kengo Manaka.
Sure enough, investigating the area, Hudram had discovered that there was nothing to indicate Trigger had died. There was no debris, scorch marks or radiation to be found, telling him that Trigger had merely appeared to be destroyed. Even more curiously, Hudram sensed the essence of a Lishurian in the air, with only one possible suspect as to who that could be. The essence had become crossed with that of a dark aura, that was… familiar. Hudram realised that Trigger had not only survived, but he had forcibly fused with the Lishurian to continue his vendetta against everyone, in an attempt to copy the human factor that Kengo Manaka possessed. An idea that Hudram would borrow.
A few minutes later, a random drifter, recently fired from his job and disgraced, stumbled into the streets after drinking himself to the point of inebriation. He noticed a small usb on the ground, alongside a gun that looked futuristic. He picked up both, pressing the button on the usb, which had a demonic looking creature on it. "Hudram!", the item announced as a dark aura entered the man, suppressing his mind. He tried to call out, but no words came, before Hudram took over, looking at his new body. "Not the most ideal choice, but it will suffice." He then inserted the Hyper Key he had reverse-engineered based on examining the ones Yuzare's vessel had been holding, into the weapon he had likewise copied the plans for, with only a few changes to the overall design. "Boot Up: Gust!" Opening the barrel of the weapon, Hudram began laughing as he pressed the handle of the weapon. "Unleash the skies, the darkness of speed! The Agile Tactician, Hudram!" Darkness overcame the human's body as it transformed.
Trigger.
He had wandered into the town nearby, observing the changes with his new eyes. Eyes that he had taken from the Lishurian that harboured a deep seated hatred for Hudram. A vendetta that made him an ideal host. Once, Trigger had considered Hudram, along with the other Dark Giants, his staunch ally. But when the human known as Kengo Manaka had entered his mind, he had discovered an obvious truth: you could not conquer the world unless you could ensure it's people were happy. After all, if the people weren't happy, then they'd only dispose of you at the first opportunity. So he had accepted the light in order to dispose of his comrades, as he knew they would never agree to such a plan. But he wasn't expecting to be sealed within a statue for 30 million years.
After that time had elapsed, he had reunited with Kengo for the same purpose as last time: to conquer the world while keeping its people happy. But as months went by, it had become clear to Trigger that Kengo had no ambition behind his dream to protect everyone's smiles. It was simply him trying to enforce what lesser beings called "justice". After Carmeara had separated the two, he had decided that without that annoying voice in the back of his head, he would be able to conquer this world through force, and then dispose of the annoyance of his former allies. But then Kengo Manaka had reappeared, having abandoned him to become a new Trigger, one carried purely by Kengo's pesky conscience. And not only that, but he had managed to do in mere seconds with that power what the 4 Dark Giants had sort for ages with it: obtain the power of eternity. If it hadn't been for the Lishurian nearby, Trigger would almost certainly have died at the hands of his doppelgänger's Violet Eternity Zerades.
But as it turned out, when you're almost destroyed in a battle with yourself, you get some perspective. And that perspective had made Trigger come up with a new plan. If he could exhibit control over his new body long enough, then he would overcome his counterpart and claim the fragment of the Eternity Core for himself to destroy Carmeara, Darrgon and Hudram. And then, and only then, he would destroy and recreate a new world. A world where everyone was happy, under his rule.
