Neville prowled through the library searching in between the shelves looking for the wayward royal. Ever since that day the entire school has begun to shun Hadrian like he's the next Dark Lord or some such nonsense. "Where are you Ian.." He muttered out lowly. Having given up Neville decided to start his search on the rest of the castle.
"Any luck Neville?" Daphne questioned having caught up to her betrothed. Blaise has been refusing to be anywhere near Neville. Even going so far as to avoid Hadrian. Which isn't hard when the berk is avoiding everyone including his only friends. And yes she was including her in that statement.
Neville shook his head to her question. Having stopped to wait for her to catch him. "If you're looking for Hadrian then he's on the seventh floor currently with Blaise Zabini." The twins appeared behind Neville causing Daphne to jump and shriek slightly.
"He's with Blaise?" Neville questioned, baffled. Blaise has been avoiding him. He knew the other was afraid of his other side. Hoping against hope that Hadrian's own Subs don't react the way Blaise has with him.
"Oh yes..." One twin started.
"He's been with.." the other continued.
"Zabini every second…"
"Of everyday…" The twins finished telling the duo.
"Can you two not do that?" Daphne grouched out, gaining a small migraine from following the twins as they spoke.
"They always talk like that. According to Hadrian they do it to confuse everyone around them on who's who." Neville explained to his soulmate. "You said he was on the seventh floor? Can you lead me there?" he asked the twins.
"Us. Neville. Us. I'm going with you." Daphne grounded out to her betrothed.
Neville sighed but directed the twins to lead on. When they got to the seventh floor the group was confused. There should be a door leading to whatever room Hadrian and Blaise were in but one wasn't there. Splitting up, the group began searching for the door. Daphne frowned because she wanted to see Hadrian to make sure he was ok. The fact that Blaise was with him would allow her to check on him as well. As she stood there in thought a door materialized in front of her caused her eyes to widen just slightly.
Cracking the door open just slightly she could hear the voices of both boys in the room. "You can't even leave this room without your eyes purple, Hadrian. How are you supposed to go to classes? I've been bringing you your classwork with the help of Professor Snape. Dammit he even told me where I could find you! What the hell is going on? Why won't you speak to me?"
Hadrian glared at the other boy scornfully. "Why are you avoiding Neville?" Hadrian finally spoke and it was a question Blaise didn't want to answer. Daphne frowned but caught Neville before he could speak. Shushing him.
"I. I'm not." Blaise began.
"You are." Hadrian countered. He moved his gaze away from the other boy and towards the crackling fire in the room. Hadrian chuckled scornfully, "My own subs aren't even from this country. Dammit. Why?" He muttered out into the silent room, punching at the arm of the couch.
Blaise sighed but finally spoke, "That might be a good thing Sire. I'm not avoiding Neville on purpose." He stopped in thought, "Well maybe I am. But I have a reason for that." Blaise assured hurriedly. Hadrian just shot him a confused yet annoyed look. "Don't look at me like that! Dammit it's hard to be around his other half!" Hadrian cocked his head to the side resting it in the palm of his hand, he waited patiently for the other to finish his thought. Blaise growled in frustration pacing the front of the couch, "It's frustrating that he's not thirteen yet. His glare affects me so much." Blaise shivered with a perverted smile upon his features.
The group eavesdropping at the door all widened their eyes after hearing the admission. Neville blushed just slightly while Daphne smirked victoriously in her soulmate's direction. She knew there had to be more to why Blaise was avoiding Neville like the plague. Hearing how he got just because of Neville's creature side was fantastic. That meant that Neville didn't have to hide who he was around either of them. She smiled beautifully lost in thought about what the future may bring and the family they would be able to start. Sub's couldn't have kids naturally. I wonder if a potion could be made for Sub's to conceive. That would be something she could try and work on. Maybe get Ian involved. He's bright when it comes to potions.
"Well at least it's nice that Neville finally knows why you're somewhat running from him." Hadrian finally told the other about the group at the door.
Blaise glanced in his direction sharply, "Don't joke around with me like that." He told him, frowning in annoyance.
Hadrian frowned but pointed towards the door of the room they were in. He watched as the Sub slowly turned and looked at the cracked door. The other's eyes widened seeing a small glimpse of golden hair that was Daphne's. "D-D-Daphne?!" Blaise yelped and collapsed onto the floor.
Hadrian smirked, "You all might as well come in. Even you two." He told the group including the twins in it.
"How long have you known Ian?" Neville questioned carefully, seeing the purple eyes staring back at him.
Hadrian glanced towards Neville tilting his head sideways slightly, "How long have I known what Nev?" He questioned.
Scowling, "You know very well what I'm asking Ian!" Neville growled out glaring at the Royal.
The twins got in close looking at Hadrian's eyes, "Woah! Your eyes are purple! I always thought they were green." They murmured at the same time.
Hadrian couldn't contain himself. He laughed, great big belly aching laughs could be heard as Hadrian fought to regain control of himself. One look at the twins set him off again. The twins smirked towards each other, "We did good didn't we Gred?"
"That we did Forge. We did good." They sat down on the ground in front of Hadrian and rested their heads on each leg. It took only a few more moments before Hadrian began carding his hands through the twins' hair. "We aren't Subs. But we are pranksters with a calming presence. Plus we are going with you guys when you leave." They told the group.
"How do you know about that?" Hadrian questioned sharply tugging slightly on they're hair to get the pair to look at him.
The pair looked towards Hadrian before glancing at each other having a silent conversation between them. "Our soulmate isn't here." One twin started. Hadrian kept watching the pair with rapt attention. "We can feel him, but cannot hear him." They frowned in thought, "We know you guys are leaving this world behind. We just don't know why." They sent the last statement like a question towards Hadrian.
Hadrian glanced towards his shadow, his eyes already starting to recede back to green. Seeing Neville shrug caused Hadrian to frown. He glanced back down to the two, "My death is being plotted and put into action as we speak. A Select few and I will be leaving this world behind before the world comes crashing down around us." Hadrian patiently explained to the pair.
"You should bring Bill." One twin spoke. The other nodded in agreement.
"Who's Bill, Fred?" Hadrian questioned the one who asked. Looking right at the twin in question.
"He's our eldest brother." Fred responded in kind. "He would be helpful because he's a ward breaker. Plus he's the only other person who can tell us apart." The twins smiled gently towards Hadrian thinking about their eldest brother. Both were resting their heads back on Hadrian's legs.
"So they weren't kidding?" Daphne questioned. Hadrian glanced towards the blond beauty in confusion. "Can you tell them apart?" she questioned again but in a different way.
Hadrian nodded, "Yes. I can tell them apart. Their magic is different from each other. It's how I can tell them apart. But for visual sake Fred has fewer freckles that are darker, and George has more freckles that are lighter. George's freckles are more like small patches that go over the bridge of his nose here." Hadrian pointed out the small patches on George's face then proceeded to look at Fred, "While Fred's are darker he has a few distinct sets just below his left eye." Hadrian then pointed out the freckles on Fred's face.
"Not everyone takes the time to look at everyone to see differences in the other person Ian." Neville pointed out to the Royal.
Hadrian hummed looking towards the ceiling, "If that's the case then Fred has a deeper voice compared to George's. Plus he's the more mischievous twin. George can normally be found in the Library while Fred is pouring over their notebook coming up with their next elaborate prank." The twins blushed and hid their faces; they weren't aware they could be told apart that easily. Now they deeply wished they could be with Hadrian. Sadly they knew nothing would come from it.
"Was it that easy to tell them apart?" Neville was baffled just hearing about it. Ronald and Percy always bemoaned not being able to tell them apart. Hadrian just smiled gently at the twins knowing what was going through their heads. He could think of one thing that would make them somewhat happy. But whether they chose to accept it was another matter. Besides, the twins look good sitting like that against Hadrian. "Do you think you can make it to your afternoon classes Ian?" Neville brought up an important subject.
Hadrian frowned slightly, "Yea. I'm calm again. For the most part anyways." A lot is going to be changed this time it would seem. Fred, George, Bill, Victor, Hermione, Draco and Izuku. We are going to need a bigger boat. Plus I need to find some specialty closets that could be used for either storages or to be turned into rooms. "I think I need to get a notebook to write some things down in." Hadrian muttered to himself. He had the twins move so he himself could get up. Leading the group they all left the room and trekked their way to their afternoon classes.
As Hadrian walked into the Great Hall the twins had sidled up to him and dragged him over to the end of the Gryffindor table. They sat him down first before the pair sat down with Hadrian between them. They each rested their heads on his shoulders and started to doze off. Neville led both Daphne and Blaise over to them cackling in laughter at Hadrian's expense. "You can laugh all you want to but this is something I'm used to Nev." Hadrian told the other boy. He had taken a decent amount of meat to dice up for each of the twins. He added some vegetables and some mashed onto each of the plates before deciding he was done.
Turning his head just slightly in Fred's direction he tapped the other boy's nose, jolting him awake again, "Wha?" Fred yawned, "I was comfy master, why'd you wake me?"
Hearing that stilled Hadrian who frowned slightly. "You need to eat before you sleep. Eat Fred." He decided to leave the master comment alone for now. Turning towards George he proceeded to tap the other's nose as well. "George. You need to eat."
Jolting the other twin awake, "Ok..Ma~ster. "George yawned out. Hadrian frowned and glanced at Neville who was just as lost as he was. Neville shook his head before starting to eat himself. Hadrian himself just frowned deeper before sighing and beginning to eat himself.
Quickly finishing his food, Hadrian got up to leave. Glancing down towards the twins and frowned as they dozed off over their plates. He gently woke up the twins and led them out of the Great Hall and back to their common room. This is extremely difficult when the pair of them are dozing off again while walking. He huffed out a frustrated breath and continued to lead the twins up the stairs. Finally making it over to the painting he muttered out the password, watching as the painting swung open to allow them entrance.
He let the twins go and walked over to the couch collapsing on the couch flopping his head on the back of the couch, he watched as the twins went up the stairs towards their room presumably. Sighing he grabbed the blank notebook from his inner robe pocket along with a refillable ink quill. Scratching out the small changes that he was planning on along with the small changes that were made. He never saw or heard the twins come back down the stairs and flop down on the floor placing their heads on each leg and falling asleep like that.
Hadrian, having finished writing the small changes in the notebook, had flipped it closed and placed both the book and a capped quill back into his inner robe pocket. Smiling gently down at the twin red heads he began to card his hands through their hair and fell asleep that way. Neville as always remained close by. He watched as the twins went up the stairs only to walk back down with their blankets and covered up before going to sleep. He even watched as Hadrian fell asleep as well. Frowning, Those two are pseudo Subs. Not real ones but a pair that can be Subs if a Dom as powerful as Hadrian is, is in need of them. Their kind are rare. I'm going to have to talk to them if this is what they truly want. Neville came back down the stairs with a pair of blankets in hand, he used one and covered Hadrian up before he himself sat down in the chair nearby and dozed off.
"I knew they were freaks. I just didn't know how much of a freak they were until right now." Another voice muttered our sneering down at the twin red heads. "I need to write home to our mother about this." A growl was heard coming from Hadrian sleeping on the couch, causing the owner of the voice to scurry away in fright.
