Midoriya was surprised it didn't take Uraraka very long to pick out a dress. Yaoyorozu insisted on getting her the silver choker and silver earrings she was eyeing the whole time as well.

"You've done enough for me," Uraraka told her over and over again, "You don't need to buy me brand new high heels. I know they go with the outfit, but it doesn't matter since the dress covers my feet."

"Alright, you win," Yaoyorozu said, hanging her head in defeat.

"Okay, Deku," Uraraka said as she dragged him over to the men's side of the store, "Let's pick your outfit."

Everything about her grip was so soft and gentle, even though she was pulling him to follow her. Seeing her genuinely enjoy every moment, especially after they've been through together, was so refreshing. He gripped her hand back and matched her speed.

Scanning through different tuxedos, it took him a bit longer than Uraraka. He couldn't help himself. He was too in his head and muttering a bunch of facts about flexibility, fabric and color palettes.

Then, he spotted something that seemed familiar. The colors reminded him of Uravity's hero outfit.

The navy tuxedo... the pink button down shirt... I mean, she's wearing green, so I should match her, right?... She's not wearing anything navy or pink--

"Ahem," A clearing of someone's throat made them turn around to see Ashido and Kaminari holding out accessories. Ashido held a silver headband with a pink flower on top, and Kaminari held a light green flower that was suppose to be worn on a jacket.

"What's this for?" Uraraka asked, a little confused.

"We just wanted to make up for everything. This is from the whole class, not just us," Ashido explained as she handed the headband to Uraraka.

"Yeah. We feel bad making you guys perform for the whole class. If I were you, I would be... well, I'd be pretty excited to have to dance with one of the girls in our class--" Ashido gave him a scary glare and he immediately took it back, "Bu-But I understand why it might've been too much. Sorry, Midoriya."

Looking at both the headband and flower pin, he soon realized they were giving them the solution to their matching problem. Appreciation ran through his entire body and held himself back from giving them an awkward hug in public.

"Thank you. That was really thoughtful of you guys," he responded and accepted both the apology and gift.

Uraraka gave Ashido a friendly hug and gladly accepted their apology.

Without hesitating, he grabbed everything he needed to buy. Soon enough, they both bought their outfits for the Winter Dance.

Little did they know someone was shadowing them, matching Uraraka's fashion sense. Well, almost.

"Wanna go grab something to eat?" Uraraka asked Midoriya as they took their bags.

"Yeah, sure--"

Midoriya's attention turned over to Kaminari, who was talking to a girl he didn't recognize. No, he might've seen her here and there looking for a dress. She looked like she was about to purchase a red dress, but had other things below it. He couldn't quite make out what they were.

"You know, I would love to see you in that dress with me. What do you say? Wanna go--"

"I despise guys like you," the dark haired girl interrupted with a nasty expression, "You're way out of my league, creep."

Before she turned away from a rejected Kaminari, her expression changed for a millisecond the moment she saw Midoriya and Uraraka. He wasn't fast enough to notice it, but she headed in the opposite direction.

"Wait, are you sure--"

"Kaminari," Jirou said as she blocked his path, "Leave her be. Why would you ask a complete stranger instead of someone you actually know?"

"Because she's--"

Gone. She was no where to be seen.

Kaminari sulked and went back to looking for an outfit. Jirou seemed slightly bothered by the whole thing and Uraraka ran up to her. Midoriya couldn't hear a word she was saying to Jirou. Whatever it was, it cheered her up enough to walk in Kaminari's direction.

"What'd you say to her?" Midoriya asked Uraraka as they exited the store.

"Oh, just girl stuff," Uraraka responded as she wrapped her arm around his and changed the subject, "Come on, I'm starving. I'm craving a big bowl of ramen right now."

Those words alone made his stomach growl. With a small giggle escaping through her shining smile, Midoriya was able to enjoy some alone time with her.

Sure enough, there was a ramen stand within the plaza. Luckily, they got the place all to themselves.

"This looks amazing!" Uraraka cried with excitement once they got their orders, "It's almost too pretty to eat!" She grabbed a pair of chopsticks rather quickly as her eyes grew wide with anticipation. "Itadakimasu."

As she slurped up some noodles, her cheeks warmed up from the steam. Her full smile said everything.

"So good!"

The chef was practically blushing at her comments and passion for his food. She kept savoring every bite and looked really cute doing it.

"Deku, aren't you going to eat? It's going to get cold," she said after swallowing another bite.

He just realized he was watching her the whole time. Everything suddenly came rushing back, and he frantically grabbed some chopsticks.

"Oh, uh yeah. Itadakimasu."

Without hesitating, he slurped up a huge mouthful of noodles. Savory flavors made his mouth water, causing him to inhale another big slurp of deliciousness.

"Deku?"

"Hmm?"

There was a long pause, which caught Midoriya's attention and stopped eating. Shifting his focus over to her, she seemed deep in thought. But in a good way.

"I know we haven't practiced the performance a whole lot, but I have a feeling we'll be able to pull it off," Uraraka told him as she straightened her posture, "I trust you, Deku and with our quirks, I know we can create something really special. Let's give it our all!"

Uraraka held up her fist, waiting for him to fist bump her back.

Midoriya hadn't seen her this pumped up since the Sports Festival. It was so relieving to see her true colors once again.

She deserves a fun night with her friends.

Her confidence was spreading and Midoriya replicated her posture. He didn't even have to think about anything as his fist met hers.

"I trust you, too. Let's do our best!"

Once they finished their meals, they decided to walk around a bit before meeting up with everyone else. The moment Uraraka spotted mochi in one of the stores, she knew she had to buy some for Yaoyorozu to make up for buying her dress.

"It's a start," Uraraka told him as she waved the bag around, "I owe her a lot more than this."

"That's so thoughtful of you, Ochaco," Midoriya commented.

It took him a second to realize what he had said. His face turned bright red. He didn't give himself a chance to look at her reaction.

"I-I'm so-sorry, i-it ju-just slipped out! I don't know what came over me..."

Awkward silence fell between them as he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. His stomach felt like it was in knots while they kept walking.

"You can if you want to..." Uraraka mumbled, causing Midoriya to stop in his tracks. She followed him and repeated herself, even though he heard exactly what she said. "You can call me Ochaco if you want to. I don't mind..."

I didn't even mean to. It just slipped out. It felt so natural to call her by her first name. We've known each other for awhile now, hung out plenty of times, and I do care about her. So long as she's comfortable with it...

He snapped out of his daze, and noticed that he had started walking without realizing it. Uraraka was no longer by his side.

She was with some guy.

A guy with dark hair and actually looked somewhat similar to him.

Tall, dark and handsome echoed through his head, and he couldn't help but feel intimidated. The guy was slightly taller than him and upon closer inspection, he had ruby red eyes.

Like Kacchan and Kirishima...

His nerves were starting to get the better of him, but then he noticed Uraraka. She looked really uncomfortable, and he began to hover over her, nearly cornering her into the wall. He knew she could just float him away, but seeing her in a situation like this got his blood boiling.

"Someone like you shouldn't be here all alone. Why don't you come hang out with me, sweet cheeks?"

Clenching his fists, he forced himself to confront the bastard. As soon as he touched her, Midoriya grabbed his arm rather tightly. The guy was a bit thrown off by his sudden appearance, and tried to get out of his grip.

"She's with me," Midoriya growled with a fierce look in his eyes, "Don't you dare touch her."

"Deku..."

He tried not to make a scene, but hoped he was threatening enough for him to back off.

"Come on, let's get out of here," Midoriya muttered to Uraraka as he gently grabbed her arm and walked away from him.

Every few steps, Midoriya glanced behind him to make sure they weren't being followed. Fortunately, the guy lost interest and walked away in the opposite direction. As him and Uraraka turned the corner, he spotted a store filled with photo booths up ahead.

Without hesitating, they both entered the nearest one and sat on the seat. Both of them took a moment to catch their breath, especially since they've already been through a traumatic experience at the mall before.

"Are you okay?" Midoriya asked, taking his last deep breath.

It took her a second to respond, still trying to compose herself. A memory of her terrified expression was forever burned into his brain. That day still haunted him, and he knew deep down she felt the same way.

He hated that she was traumatized because of him. Because he let his guard down.

"Yeah," Uraraka responded, "Thank you, Deku... for stepping in like that."

"Yeah, well... Anyone else would've done the same thing. Besides, it's my fault for not paying attention. Just like last time we were... here..."

Without looking at her, he could tell she was thinking about what to say next. Then, she gently placed her hand on top of his.

"I was there, too. I blame myself for running off on you. I wasn't... in the right head space that day, but in the end... you're okay and that's all that matters to me," Uraraka confessed as she caressed his scarred hand, then tried to lighten the mood, "So now we're even."

Her smile never ceases to amaze him and with all being said, he smiled back. Midoriya didn't even think about how close they were, with the booth being so confined and all. None of that seemed to bother him.

"Thank you, Ochaco... for cheering me up."

She wasn't even thrown off when he called her by her first name. If anything, she seemed genuinely happy.

"Well, since we're in here, we might as well take some pictures," Uraraka suggested as she searched her purse for money.

He noticed her smile begin to fade while digging through, and he took out his wallet.

"You don't have to--"

"It's okay... I want to."

He inserted five hundred yen into the machine and got ready to take the pictures. It was a bit awkward at first, but Midoriya was able to loosen up after the third one.

It was as if what had happened a few minutes ago had never occurred as they made funny faces at the camera. He was so comfortable with her that he didn't even freak out when she wrapped her arm around his.

They went all out with the decorating, mostly Uraraka. Midoriya didn't want to ruin the pictures, but he eventually let go and gave Uraraka bunny ears on one of the pictures. Flowers, hearts, rainbows and everything you could possibly think of was added, but somehow it looked nice.

An excited Uraraka stepped out of the booth to retrieve the pictures with Midoriya following her lead. Unfortunately, there were no pictures in sight.

The slot was empty.

"It must've ran out of paper," Midoriya told her while pulling out his phone, "Don't worry, I put my email in earlier. I can send them to you if you want."

Before she could react, he had already sent it to her.

"Thank you, Deku. For everything," Uraraka said softly and gave him a kiss on the cheek, "Everyone's probably worried about us. We should probably go find them."

Midoriya felt like he was on cloud nine as she led him to the others. Every now and then, Uraraka would smile back at him. Even though they were going through a lot right now, having someone like her by his side made everything better.

Unfortunately, the photo booth was not out of paper...

I decided to make this chapter the longest chapter so that it'd be rewarding to have Midoriya and Uraraka enjoy some time together. It took some time to figure it out, but it turned pretty good.

I know that's not exactly how a guy buys a tuxedo, I just went along with it ;)

I did my best to replicate what it's like to use a photo booth in Japan. They're pretty different over there compared to America. I hope you liked the little connections between this chapter and the previous chapter.

Itadakimasu is a humble way of saying, to eat and receive. I'm sure a lot of you already know that.

Yes, that guy was based off of Deku's original design.

What's going to happen next with Toga??

More coming soon!
