Hello everyone, here is the next chapter

Ann moved her head into her pillow. Everyone at school knew about her, that she was actually a he. She didn't know how they found out, but had seen a snapchat from someone's story which was a picture from last year, a picture where she was a he and had forgotten to delete. That was probably how, and someone had found it and figured it out. She pretended she was sick the last 2 days, not wanting to deal with school. She had gotten a lot of texts from Haruta, and a handful from Thatch, all wondering how she was doing. And she was doing horribly. She moved her head up and used a hand to dry her cheeks a bit as she was half crying. She needed to go back to school. She had dealt with this before, at her last school, and she had hoped for a new start, but it was now ruined.

She needed to go to school tomorrow, and would do her best to prepare. Haruta did say she could come to her house before school and they could walk together to school, maybe that would help. And she felt that would help. Haruta didn't mind this. And the same with Thatch. Those two were still by her side. When the next day came, she left home early and headed to Haruta's house, who gave her a hug and said she was sorry about all of this. It helped some. They then left for school and when they got there, they were met with many whispering among themselves, a few out right mocking her. She hated it. When they had class, and they were supposed to be in groups, and the teacher was assigning groups, the group Ann was supposed to be in said "Eww! No! We don't want a he-she thing!" It made her feel low, and the teacher said that wasn't appropriate to say, before she got to another group, one Haruta was in, which was good. The others did send her dirty looks, but she could survive dirty looks.

When they had recess, everyone mocked her, aside from Thatch and Haruta, who stayed by her side, which was nice. She had at least 2 on her team that was supporting her. When the next day came, she wore a cap, to half hide her face, to make her feel better, and it helped some. She just hoped the others would find something else to do than mock her. But after a few days, Ann hating everything at school, beside Thatch and Haruta, Haruta gave an excited sound when she met with her in the morning. "Tomorrow is field day!" Ann nodded. "It sounds cool. But are you sure we can just… leave the group?" Haruta nodded. "Yes, I've done it the last like 7 times we've been on a field trip. No one cares." Ann nodded and hoped that was true. Haruta hummed. "And we can get away from the assholes." Ann smiled a bit with that, that sounded nice.

When there was gym and she walked into the locker rooms, the girl stopped her and said "No males allowed." Well, everyone but a few, which included Haruta, who tried to stop it from happening, but she was outnumbered. So, with a half hanging head, she walked out and waited until the girls were done, as she didn't want to head into the boys locker rooms, and when the girls were done, she headed in and changed and went to gym. And when the gym was over, she waited by the door for a bit, before she walked in to the locker rooms which were now empty, so she could go to the teacher's locker and change and shower. She was a bit late for the next class, but it was okay.

She got through that day, and she was happy it was field day tomorrow, which meant she could get away from everyone a bit and be with Haruta. When the next day came and they were on the bus, many were talking about her and a few threw out words, and the teachers tried to keep everyone in line but they couldn't. So when the bus stopped and they did a group call, and they were there for that, before they left for the city, Haruta said they had about 3-4 hours on them, and could just have fun. That sounded nice.

Haruta walked with Ann and they were at the mall, and they were looking around. As they were walking and talking, Ann walked a bit ahead and turned around, walking backwards, and then she saw a low hanging sign with some cones around it as they went around a corner. "Hey Ann! Watch out!" Ann blinked and turned around, and saw the sign too late and crashed into it with her head, which made her fall down as she was almost running. It looked like it hurt a lot and she ran up to Ann. "You okay?" She asked as he helped Ann up, who moved a hand to her head. "I think so." She did look okay, which was good. "Did you hurt your head?" She didn't know as Ann was wearing the caps. Ann shook her head. "I don't think so. Let's head on." They should, so they started walking again and looked at a few things.

When they had checked the mall, they headed outside to head to another smaller mall a bit away. But as they were outside, Ann shook her head a bit, before Ann looked confused and Haruta saw some blood start to trickle down her forehead. "Ann!" Ann blinked. "What?" Haruta moved up and took Ann's cap off and saw she was bleeding a lot from a wound on her head. This must have been from when she crashed into the sign. It looked really bad! "Ann! We need to get you to the hospital!" Ann lightly shook her head. "No no, Garp will be mad at me…" Ann then blinked again. "I feel… dizzy." Haruta nodded and tried to think what she knew. "Let's get you down to sitting." Ann nodded lightly, probably since she was dizzy. "'kay." Ann then slowly sat down and it seemed like she wanted to close her eyes which she knew was bad. "No no! Don't close your eyes!" Ann gave a small hum. "Just for a bit." Haruta shook her head and took her phone out and dialed 911. She then looked at Ann, who had her eyes half closed and had laid down. "No no! Be awake!" "911, what's your emergency?" Was said on the phone and she tried to calm down. "Yes hi, my friend hit her head. She's bleeding really badly and almost asleep."

She heard some typing on the other end. "Okay, what's your name and your friend's name? What's your age?" Haruta felt really worried and needed a second to think. "I'm Haruta, my friend is Ann. We're 14." She then looked at Ann who had closed her eyes. "No no! Ann! Be awake! Please!" That had Ann open her eyes again and she heard the operator speak again. "Okay. You're doing really good. Where are you?" Haruta nodded and said she was outside the mall and the response was that an ambulance was on its way. That was good.

As she looked at Ann and tried to keep her awake, she heard someone speak to her left. "Ann? Haruta?" She looked over and saw Thatch, who looked shocked to see them. "What is wrong? Why is Ann bleeding?" Haruta didn't know what to do. "She fell! The ambulance is coming!" She then looked at Ann, who had closed her eyes again. "No no! Ann! Wake up!" It didn't work, so she spoke to the operator. "She won't wake up!" She heard some more typing and was relieved to hear the calm voice of the operator. "Okay. You're doing great. Make a fist and rub her upper chest, between her collar bones, hard." Haruta nodded and did, and it worked. Ann woke up again, but looked confused.

She gave a nod. "Okay, it worked." The operator spoke again. "That's good. Keep her awake." Haruta nodded, she would. Thatch then crouched down next to her and Ann and looked at Ann. "Hey, Ann. How are you? What happened?" Ann lightly shook her head. "Nothing. I just fell." Thatch frowned, obviously not believing that. "You're bleeding pretty badly." Ann moved her hand a bit. "It's nothing." Thatch shook his head. "It is not nothing. I think the paramedics will be here soon." That had Ann look a bit afraid. "No no! Garp will be mad at me!" Haruta looked at Ann. "Why will he be mad? You're injured!" Ann lightly shook her head. "He will be… embarrassed because of… me…" Haruta blinked, Ann was slurring her words. She moved the phone closer to her ear. "She's slurring her words now!" The operator responded quickly. "Keep her awake until the paramedics get there." Haruta nodded and looked at Thatch, who was looking at her. "We need to keep her awake." Thatch nodded and looked at Ann and tried to keep a conversation up.

It was just a couple more minutes before she heard an ambulance, which soon pulled up next to them, and she looked at her phone. "The paramedics are here." She heard a hum. "Good good, you did great. The paramedics will take care of you." Haruta nodded. "Okay, thanks for the help." She then hung up and looked at the paramedics who got out of the ambulance and she felt glad they were here. "What happened?" Asked one of the paramedics. Haruta nodded. "She fell a bit back! Now she's slurring her words and wants to go to sleep." The paramedics nodded and one of them moved to Ann. "Hey, Ann, how are you?" Ann gave a breath. "Tired." The paramedic nodded. "Okay. You hurt your head pretty badly. We need to get you to the hospital." Ann shook her head a bit. "No! Not the hospital!" The paramedic shook her head. "No, you need to go." Ann moved her hands and fought against the paramedics a bit, but they soon got her onto a stretcher and got her to the ambulance, and then one of the paramedics looked at them. "You two want to join in the ambulance?" Haruta looked at Thatch, who looked at her. "I can go inform the teachers." Haruta nodded, that was good.

She then got in the ambulance with the paramedics and they asked her a few questions, and Ann a few questions, keeping her awake. They then got to the hospital and was taken to a room where a doctor soon came and checked her, Ann barely keeping awake it looked like, even saying she felt nauseous too, which she knew could happen. When the doctor had checked her, even asking her to walk once, and she spoke much better now, the doctor smiled. "You can sleep a bit, but I will wake you soon." Ann nodded. "Thank you." The doctor then said she looked okay, but they wanted her for observation for a bit, and that her guardian had been called. The doctor had also patched her wound, so her head had bandages around her head.

She moved her hand to Ann's, hoping she would be okay, she was her best friend. And she really liked her. She was awesome. Haruta sat beside Ann in her bed, and she was asleep, but it was apparently okay she had been told as she looked okay according to the doctor. As she was holding onto Ann's hand, she heard someone yell out in the hallway. "Where is my child!" She blinked as she knew that voice, it was Garp. She stood up and moved to the door and peeked outside, and saw Garp yelling at a nurse, who tried to calm the man and say she would check, and she figured she could speak. "Um… Garp? We're here." Garp looked at her and moved towards her and looked shocked when he saw Ann in the bed. "What happened to her!" Haruta gave a small sound. "She fell and hit her head. Really badly." Garp nodded. "Okay, but she's good, right?" Haruta gave another sound. "Yeah. She didn't want to come here though. She actually fought a bit against the paramedics." Garp frowned a bit. "Why not! She is obviously injured!"

Haruta felt herself get a bit mad at that. "Because of you!" Garp frowned more. "What do you mean because of me?" Haruta gave a small snort. "She didn't want to embarrass you!" Garp blinked. "What? She didn't want to embarass me?" Haruta nodded. "Yes! She was more concerned about embarrassing you than herself being injured!" Garp looked a bit shocked and guilty with that, and that was good. He should feel guilty. This was his fault, that she felt so low that she didn't want to go here, since she was afraid to embarrass Garp, which was so wrong.

The doctor then came into the room again and gave a smile to Garp. "You must be Garp Monkey, guardian to Ann." Garp nodded. "Yes, I am. How is my child?" The doctor hummed. "Let me just wake her, and then we can speak outside." The doctor probably wanted to speak to just Garp, which she got. She was a child. The doctor then went up to Ann, and moved a hand to her shoulder and shook her a bit, making her open her eyes. When she did, the doctor smiled. "Hey, how do you feel?" Ann gave a small groan. "Dizzy. Where am I?" The doctor hummed. "At the hospital. Let me just speak to your guardian a bit, and we'll be back." That had Ann wake more up and looked terrified at Garp. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen!" Garp moved his hand a bit. "Don't think about that. Let me just speak to the doctor." Garp then left with the doctor, and Ann sighed when they were gone. "He's going to be so mad." Haruta shook her head. "No no, he won't. If he does, I will yell at him." Ann gave a small chuckle at that. "Thank you. I'm glad you're here." Harita smiled. "I had to be with you. I was worried. Why didn't you tell me you hurt yourself?" Ann shrugged. "Didn't know it was bad." Haruta nodded, she could maybe buy that.

For now, she was glad Ann was okay.
