Chapter 2:
Naruto awoke to the sun shining on his face. As he looked around he noticed the very "sterile" look of the room he was in. Immediately he knew he was in a hospital, outside he could hear nurses and doctors going up and down the halls. He sighed and laid his head back and decided to fall asleep again just as the door to his room opened softly.
"I'm glad to see that you are awake, Naruto-kun." He heard a soft voice speak from the doorway.
"Itachi? Sasuke? How did you even know I was here?" Naruto asked in confusion, with his voice still weak. He didn't expect to have any visitors... Let alone his rival and her brother.
"A shinobi will always find a way to gather intelligence." Itachi said with a smirk before Naruto saw him subtly point to his Anbu mask that hung on his hip.
Sasuke just rolled her eyes at her older brother's attempt at humor. She took a few steps into the room awkwardly before she finally sat down in the chair beside Naruto's bed. Naruto didn't speak as he saw that Sasuke was thinking hard about something. After a few awkward moments, she finally spoke.
"Don't think that I was worried about you or anything. I just came to see you because there are rumors that you beat a jonin and if they're true I want to fight you. I wasn't worried though." Sasuke said as she stared at the plain floor, waiting for Naruto to respond.
"Well thank you for coming to visit me anyways Sasuke, you two are the first visitors I've had since I woke up. As soon as I'm out of here, I'll beat you for sure." Naruto exclaimed with a wide grin.
"Whatever stupid, I better go tell Shikamaru and Choji that you're awake. They've been going crazy, you'd think that two lazy people like them wouldn't care this much." Sasuke mumbled as she stood and made her way to the door.
"I'll be home for dinner, see you later Sasuke." Itachi said as he poked her forehead and jumped up into the shadows in the ceiling.
Sasuke puffed out her cheeks and hurried out the door, but before it closed Naruto could swear he heard her say something, but it was too quiet for him to hear. He shrugged and thought he would get some rest until word had spread and Shika came to visit with Choji. With that, he settled into the bed and closed his eyes.
Up in one of the corners of the room, Itachi had heard what Sasuke said though.
'Hmm, should I tell him what she said? Nah, best to let things play out as they should.' Itachi thought with a little smirk on his face, as he hid himself from view.

*Two Days Later*
Naruto walked into class on Monday morning and did his best to ignore all the whispers until Sasuke walked in and shocked everybody by sitting beside the blonde. Usually they were arguing or competing in practical tests, nobody could quite understand what had changed. Even Naruto was about to say something as his attention was drawn to the front of the room when Iruka walked in. Naruto's heart swelled with happiness as the person he saw as an older brother figure was alive and well, he had to keep reminding himself that the Iruka that died was just a genjutsu.
As the excitement of the morning winded down, Naruto began to look out the window and start daydreaming. As he was looking out the window, he could have sworn he saw his reflection have red slitted eyes. He shot up in his seat and tried to play it off, going completely unnoticed except to Sasuke who kept her mouth shut. She decided to bring it up later if they could talk alone.
The rest of the day at the academy flew by for Naruto, he tried to pay attention and Iruka seemed impressed at the effort Naruto was displaying but Naruto really only had one thing on his mind for today. He needed to talk to the Hokage. He needed answers and he knew the old man had them, he just had to figure out how to get the old man to tell him.

Naruto found himself slowly wandering towards the Hokage Tower after classes had ended. He still didn't know how he was going to ask the Hokage his questions. Growing frustrated, Naruto growled and stomped towards the Hokage Tower, deciding to forego any tactics and be straight up with the old man.
As he made his way up the tower he was getting angrier and angrier thinking about why he had been lied to for all of his life. So when he finally burst through the doors of the office he was not expecting there to be other people in the office with the Hokage.
"Alright old man, I have some questions and you're going to answer them. I've been lied to long enough and I think after what I went through I deserve some answers!" Naruto burst through the door and yelled before stopping in his tracks when the eyes of not only the Hokage, but Kakashi, Shikamaru's dad, and some old guy with white hair and red markings on his face looked up at him as well.
The room was silent for all of 2 seconds before the man with white hair burst out laughing and fell out of his chair. This in turn, made Naruto angry so he insulted the laughing man.
"Hey, what are you laughing at you old bag of bones? I've never seen you around here before so the Hokage won't care if I whoop your ass!" Naruto said as he puffed up his chest to hide the embarrassment of trying and failing to be intimidating.
The older man stopped laughing and shot Naruto a look full of regret, a reaction Naruto was not expecting and was about to comment on when Hiruzen decided to take control of the situation once more.
"Ahem... Naruto I believe you said you had some questions? Everyone here knows what I know and can be trusted. One moment while I put privacy seals over the room so nobody can listen in." Hiruzen said with a smile, shooting the other adults a knowing look when he mentioned the last part.
"Right, well... Firstly, when were you going to tell me that I was the Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox?" Naruto asked, regaining some of the anger he had lost when he witnessed the man fall out of his chair.
"Well, to be honest I don't know. I wanted to do it when you had become a genin but when is it ever the right time to tell somebody that they have a demon fox sealed inside of them? I also had to make sure that you were mature enough to hear this information. Given the circumstances I guess "now" works just as well." Hiruzen sighed, and gained a look of uncertainty.
"I guess I understand why it was kept from me, I have kinda been a nuisance for the village...heh." Naruto said as he scratched the back of his head and looked at the ground before continuing.
"Oh and second! Why didn't you tell me that my parents didn't abandon me? Why didn't you ever tell me that my father was the Fourth Hokage? Before you ask how I know, the person who kidnapped me gave me alot of books to read through, and I had ALOT of time to go through it all. So please just be honest with me." Naruto said, his voice getting quiet.
Hiruzen knew that the boy was being as serious as he'd ever been. Lying to the boy now would create a fracture in his trust for Konoha. Hiruzen sighed and began to explain why Naruto's heritage had been hidden.
"Naruto my boy, your father is known as a hero... In Konoha. It is an entirely different story in Iwa. To us, Minato was a man who singlehandedly won a war and saved thousands of lives by himself. To Iwa, he is a monster. A boogeyman that their children hear about when they misbehave. If Iwa learned that Minato had a son, they would send entire squadrons to either kidnap or kill you. Although it was unfair to you, I was afraid that if it was ever mentioned, then the info had a chance to slip out. I'm sorry for the way you have struggled. I am sorry for my part in it." Hiruzen bowed his head and apologized to Naruto.
Before anybody else could speak, the white haired man spoke up.
"Brat, what did you mean exactly when you said you had "ALOT of time to go through it all? You were missing for 10 days." The man asked Naruto, who just smiled and was happy to tell the adults how he had started a new training method.
"Well, Mr. Idontknowyournameyet, I tried escaping and calling for help for the first 3 days, and learned how to make Shadow Clones on the 4th day, so that gave me 5 days to train. I used about 200 clones per day, for 12 hours per day. I had to ask Shikamaru for help but essentially when all the math is said and done, I learned about 12000 hours worth of information and techniques in five days. That's about 500 days, or 15 months worth of training." Naruto finished as he folded up the piece of paper that held the math equation on it and put it back into his pocket.
All of the adults in the room just sat there, eyes wide and minds blown. Nobody said a word until the white haired man started to chuckle, which turned into a booming laugh as he thought about the way that this kid could abuse shadow clones to learn lifetimes of information in the matter of months.
"Hahaha, the name is Jiraya kid. The Legendary Toad Sage of Mount Myoboku!" Jiraya said as he struck a pose.
"So you were my dads sensei? You're also supposed to be my Godfather, what's your excuse?" Naruto said, with his arms crossed and an eyebrow raised, clearly unimpressed by the man.
Jiraya face-faulted into the floor before he hopped back up and bowed to Naruto.
"My spy network is an integral part of Konoha that keeps me out of the Leaf for very extended periods of time. If I could have safely taken you with me, I would have. Yet it would surely have drawn some unwanted attention if the sensei of your father left the village with a blonde boy so shortly after his passing. All of this is an excuse though, as I should have been there for you more. I'm sorry Naruto." Jiraya explained, being more serious than he had been during the entire meeting.
Naruto said nothing for a minute, he seemed to be deep in thought. After a few more seconds Naruto snapped out of it and a smile grew on his face.
"Then, would you take me on as an apprentice to make up for it?" Naruto asked, eager to start going on missions and becoming a real shinobi.
"Not so fast, brat. These are times of peace, enjoy your childhood while it lasts because it wont. When you graduate the academy I will take you on as an apprentice, but until then lets have a spar. I'm curious to see what 12000 hours of training in 5 days looks like." Jiraya said, as he hopped out of the window from the top floor of the Hokage Tower.
Naruto just rolled his eyes and looked at the remaining adults in the room before he made his exit as well.
"Showoffs, amirite?" Naruto said with a smirk as he disappeared in a swirl of leaves.
"..."
"Did he jus-" Kakashi began, but was cut off.
"Yes he did Kakashi, Naruto just used the Body Flicker Technique at the age of 7." Hiruzen said as he groaned before standing to follow Naruto and Jiraya.

AN: Well there's chapter two, Im trying to take it slower and have stronger dialogue in my stories as opposed to skimming through a conversation and jumping straight into the next scene/fight. Let me know how Im doing and leave a review? YES I KNOW SASUKE IS A GIRL IN MY FIC AND YES ITS PROBABLY GOING TO BE A NARUTOxFEMSASUKE FIC! IM NOT SORRY! Next chapters will be longer, just wanted to set a few things up in the first two chapters. Thats it for me, see you guys in the next one.
