Author's Headnote: October, which means Vampires are in-season! Here's the chapter.
RWBY FoB: Just for Fun: Bleh Bleh Bleh!
Segment 8, Die Monster!
It is Salem's palace, being that it is of a gothic design with black walls and floors, with purple carpets and drapes all around it. And at the end of the hall, is the throne room in which the evil vampire queen, Salem stands, with her silver hair and pale white skin, wearing a classical dress. The end of the quest is approaching. With the main hero, being Jaune Arc, the descendant of the great hero who had slain many of Salem's disciples many years ago. But now, Jaune is here, ready to fight and slay the infamous Salem once and for all.
He had approached Salem, with his sword at hand and his shield ready to fight the infamous vampire queen. The moment he has been waiting for, he is standing right in front of Salem. Salem on the other hand, is sitting in her throne with a goblet of wine in her hand, observing the hero as she drinks from it. She is giving an intellectual stare as the encounter begins.
The time has approached, the moment one he has been waiting for this time. To defeat the immortal vampire for once and for all. To be renowned, just like his predecessors before him! The fight is about to begin and Salem's minion started playing the piano to the scene.
"Die, you monster! You do not belong here!" Jaune yelled.
"It was not from my power that I have been given eternal FLESH!" Salem said, spraying when she said the last word. "I-"
"I, Nora Valkyrie!" Nora said, appearing out of nowhere.
And then suddenly the minion started to play a different song.
"Have a dream! And that is dream is to defeat you, Salem!" Nora said, finishing her monologue. She then ran toward Salem, only to be stopped by Blake.
"Alright, cut!" Blake yelled. "What is Nora doing on the stage!?"
"Helping Jaune defeat Salem." Nora said, excusing herself.
"He doesn't need help here. Go, do your own thing."
"What is going on!?" An elderly woman asked, from the theater crowd seating.
"Bruh..." Yang said, from the background, who is on top of the stage, managing the lights.
"Uhhh... I think we skipped one part." Jaune said. "I think there was something before this..."
"Well, damn." Blake said.
"Wait, are we doing the thing?" Ruby asked, who was playing the role of Salem. "My butt's getting a bit numb from sitting in this 'throne.'"
"We were, but Nora interrupted."
"Oh ya, Weiss! We're doing the thing!"
"Why do I have to be the minion?" Weiss asked, playing the role of the minion.
"Because you're the only one who can play piano." Ruby said.
"Also... why did you change the music when Nora came in?" Blake asked.
"It's a natural reflex you have when playing the piano for so long." Weiss stated.
"But didn't we already start!?" Jaune asked.
"Wait, where's the monster?" The elderly woman asked.
"We did, though. But because of Nora, we have to start all over!" Weiss said, agrrivated and threw a plastic foam H at Nora.
"How long was that there?" Blake asked.
"Eh, there were some left-over props from the Play Coco was directing." Yang stated.
"Oh..." Blake said... "Can we get Nora off the stage?"
"Wait, did Salem possess Ruby's body?" Nora asked.
"Nora, this is a play!" Weiss yelled.
"A play on what!?"
Weiss, aggravated, started to press piano keys at random.
"Throw the H up!" Yang requested. "I'll hide it somewhere."
Blake then threw the H up, and then got Ren to remove Nora from the stage. After a quick calm down... and after Weiss stopped playing the keys at random, Blake was ready to start the scene again.
"Okay, let's try again!" Blake said. "Action!"
It was Salem's palace, Jaune had arrived here to slay the vampire queen, Salem in an almighty battle! In which he had approached with his weapon drawn, standing across from Salem who was drinking from her wine glass on her throne. Minion playing piano, yadda yadda. This is take two.
"Die, you monster! You do not belong here!"
"It was not from my power that I have been given eternal FLESH!" Salem said, not spraying her word this time. "I was bound to this world by humanity, who offers me tribute."
"Tribute? TRIBUTE!? You steal their aura and make and turn them into the monsters that you control!"
"Perhaps the same could be said for all beliefs."
"Your words are as hollow as your aura! Mankind does not need someone like you!"
"But what is a man?" Salem asked, throwing her goblet to the ground... although it does not shatter, but the glass shatter sound effect plays anyway. "Nothing more than a pathetic gathering of hypocrisies!"
"Edgy!" Yang said, in the background. Blake hopes that no one notices that...
"However, the time for debate has passed..." Salem said, standing up, before being interrupted.
"Die, you monster!" Jaune yelled.
"Damnit!" Blake said, facepalming.
"Your time is nearing an end!" Salem then finished, preparing for a pose... until...
"DYNAMIC ENTRY!" Nora yelled, kicking at Ruby, and knocking them both to the ground.
Ruby, then sneezed.
Segment 9, Classic Dressing
"Weiss..." Ruby asked.
"What is it, Ruby?" Weiss asked.
"Why did you give me this overly formal old-timey black and red dress?" Ruby asked.
"Well, I figured it would fit you..."
"Because I am a vampire."
"Because you are a vampire, yes."
"But I'm not over 200+ years old!"
Team RWBY was out clothes shopping at night, Ruby and Blake were looking for dresses for their date. So, they went to the dress store. In which led to Weiss picking out a peculiar set of clothes for the young vampire. A Pre-great war black and red gothic-like dress. Long, even covers the feet. Also comes with full-arm length cloves and all. It's like some sort of classical and old-timey vampire gown. In which proves Weiss does have a sense of humor, just it's not verbal.
"Where would I be going that this form of dress would be appropriate?" Ruby asked.
"Don't worry about it. Yang is getting something similar for Blake too." Weiss stated.
"That doesn't answer my question."
'We're getting you these dresses for the giggles."
"I'm not going to wear them, though."
"You may never know."
But no less, there's no talking out of it. In which the four of them went to the check out to buy the dress. Afterwards, the four of them went back to the dorm, the next evening Ruby had woken up with a note telling her that there's a costume party taking place, she figured she could go as herself. Without the bandana either.
Although it hasn't started yet, being that Blake sees Ruby going out without her bandana, not even costume makeup, everyone can see her veins. Fangs too if she opens her mouth. What is she trying to do? So, out of curiosity, Blake went to confront Ruby and ask.
"Ruby... what are you doing?" Blake asked.
"Going to a party." Ruby stated.
"You aren't even wearing a costume."
"Sure I am."
"You are wearing your normal outfit without the bandana."
"I'm going as a vampire."
"Ruby, are you really think people will think your actual vampirism would pass as just a costume?"
"Relax, it's a costume party."
"Well, you're going to need the fancy-dress Weiss bought, otherwise people would see you as lazy."
"Alright, fine."
When Ruby had gotten in the dress, looking like an in-earth counterpart being a Victorian vampire. But Ruby does not know that being that earth and Victorian are not terms in her mental thesaurus. She appeared like a roll of red toilet paper surrounded by white toilet paper. In other words, she stood out like a sore thumb, a decaying and blue sore thumb with the rest of a living body. Basically, people are looking like her like she violated a dress code.
She then did a typical vampire pose and showed out her fangs. And then people went on with the party, believing that she's wearing a very, impressive costume, and not just an expensive dress.
Segment 10, Flowers
Jaune had decided to visit the RWBY dorm today, he had acquired flowers that he had planned to give to Weiss today. He had then knocked on the door.
Soon after, Ruby had answered the door. She then gave a curious look.
"Jaune, who are those flowers for?" Ruby asked.
"Weiss, why?" Jaune asked.
"Don't bother, flowers are gonna die out in a couple of days we'll throw em out."
"Okay, what should I get?"
"Blood."
"Blood?"
"Yes, blood. Lots and lots of blood." Ruby said, with her voice subtly becoming more grimm. "Spill it from your enemies and do not finish it. Let them bleed out, look at the victory you achieve as you see your victim's eyes slowly loose the life from it. Savor it, watch as they beg for mercy and a quick death. But it will not come. They will perish slowly and painfully, feeling their guts turning and squinching in pain as they could do nothing to save their own lives, and don't have the guts to end it quickly." She said, as her skin becomes black, her scaela also becomes black, and her hair turns a silver white. "They will bleed, cough, scream in agony and suffer. Watch as their own fear for their own life makes them feel their agony. As they collapse and perish, you gather the blood. Bring it to me, I will relish it, I will savor it. It will make it all more enjoyable."
"Err... to you?" Jaune asked.
"Yes... to me. For I am the harbinger of justice. And the blood of the wicked fuels me and my eternal quest to cleanse evil."
"What about Weiss?"
"Oh." Ruby said, reverting back to normal. "Give her a puppy. Or a kitten. Only one, two or more would be tough to handle." She said cheerfully. "Girls love pets. Source: me."
"Uuuhhhh... okay..."
"Jaune, is there something wrong?"
"You were talking about killing someone in a slow and horrifying way, as you started to sound like a grimm, and look like one!"
"What are you talking about? I would never kill someone. And I'm human, just like you."
"Okay... sure..." Jaune said, closing the door. Ruby's got some rent-free space in her head and living in her nightmares for the next couple of weeks after seeing that. There is something wrong about Ruby, and Jaune does not want to explore what that might be.
Author's Footnote: Offtopic, but I started playing Persona 1 on an Old PS1, but the memory card broke so my progress didn't save. It's mildly infuriating. See ya at my next chapter, regardless of story.
