"Damn, girl. You and Daryl sure do good work. Have you thought about making more like this little guy? I mean ... The human race could use more people raised by the likes of you two." Michonne said as she gently cradled the baby boy in her arms.

"Hey! It's only been a week since I had THIS one!" Charlotte laughed.

"Don't make like you're not enjoying yourself, Charlotte, because it's clear you are." Maggie deadpanned.

"Well, it helps that he's a really good, easy going baby." Charlotte replied as Michonne handed him back to her.

"He really is, consider yourself lucky, I don't think Hershel slept a wink for the first month after I had him." Maggie said.

"Which is something considering his parents are two of the most feral sumbitches I've ever met!" Michonne said with a laugh.

"Right? Strange, huh?" Charlotte replied.

"Just you watch, ALL her kids are gonna come out amazing, like this little guy." Michonne said.

"Stop talking like we're gonna have more! I didn't even plan for THIS one!" Charlotte retorted.

"Don't give me that shit, girl. We all know how you and Daryl can't hardly keep your damn hands off each other. I'd be willing to bet my toothbrush that you'll be having another one, and my hunch says sooner rather than later. Speaking of baby making, has Mark cleared you for takeoff yet?" Michonne said.

Charlotte blew out a frustrated sigh.

"No, he says we gotta wait four to six weeks and it sucks cause I got some needs that need to be met, god damn it."

"I can't get over how good you look, girl you look like you weren't even pregnant." Michonne said.

"Which is something considering how big I was!" Charlotte laughed.

"I keep telling you, you weren't really that big, it just seemed that way because of how you were carrying him, and how small you are. The little guy didn't even weigh seven pounds. Have you thought about a name yet?"

Charlotte shrugged.

"We've been calling him Storm, since cause ya know ... He was born in the middle of one of the worst storms this area's ever seen, According to some of the people in town who are locals."

"That sounds like a dog's name!" Michonne said with a laugh as she playfully nudged her friend's shoulder.

"Hey lay off! Neither of us ever thought we'd be in this situation, so is not like we had a list of names made out!" Charlotte retorted as she playfully shoved her.

"Something will come to you, until then, call him Storm if you want. I think it's a cute nickname." Maggie said as Charlotte stood.

"It's gettin' dark, time for my shift at the gates." She said as she gently wrapped the baby up in his wearable wrap that she had made from a sheet.

At the time, she had scoffed at her sister insistence that she learn how to sew, mend and even make clothes.

But then the world decided to end, and she was forever grateful to her sister for making her learn. Especially now that she had a kid to look after.

"Didn't Mark say to take it easy?" Maggie quipped.

"Is that even possible in this world?" Charlotte replied as she walked out the door, leaving Maggie and Michonne in her wake.

"Like I said, two wild sumbitches." Michonne said as they let themselves out.

Charlotte sighed boringly as she peered through her rifle scope into the dark surrounding forest.

She turned to her son, who was nestled safely in the homemade crib that Aaron had made for him.

"Hey, you'd better be paying attention now, cause one day you're gonna be doin this with your momma." Charlotte said as she refocused her attention through her scope.

It was then that she saw it, movement ... Or ... At least what she thought was movement. It was too dark to tell, even with the night vision scope.

It could be walkers, but they didn't normally skirt the treeline in an effort to stay out of sight.

So that meant that it was either an animal ... Or other humans. Either way, she would make a note of the location and the time she saw it and relay it to Rick first thing in the morning.

"Movement you say? Just before dawn?" Rick said as he studied the piece of paper she has written down the logistics of where she had seen the strange figures moving through the dense forest.

"Yeah, but it was too dark to see if they were animals, or humans, even with the night vision scope." Charlotte said as she adjusted the homemade sling she used to carry her skin around.

"He's growing already, I can tell." Rick said with a smile.

"Yeah, he is. Good thing soon he'll be old enough for me to use a harness." Charlotte replied.

Rick smiled ruefully.

"I did warn you that they grow fast."

She smiled at him, but there was a touch of sadness to it.

"Yeah, you did."

His aging face suddenly became serious.

"I know that you have a lot on your plate with a newborn and all, but I would really like you to be on watch at night, you have the sharpest eye out of everyone."

She playfully saluted him.

"Sure thing, lawman."

He chuckled.

"It's been a while since you called me that, I've missed it."

Charlotte made a mental note to make sure her son called the old sheriff 'lawman' , too. She had a feeling that it would make his day.

"I think I've got a name for our boy figured out." Charlotte said as she and Daryl crawled into bed.

"Oh yeah?" He replied as he pulled her against him and threw his leg over her hip.

"Micheal Ashton Dixon has a nice ring to it, don't you think?" She said.

He pulled back slightly and looked at her.

"Yer brother's name."

"Yeah." She replied softly.

"Okay, pirate girl, if it means that much to ya, that's what his name'll be. On one condition tho ...I get to name the next one, especially if it's a girl." He said.

She playfully smacked his shoulder.

"Oh my god! Not you, too! Why does everyone keep saying that!" She exclaimed.

He suddenly kissed her hard.

"Because as soon as Mark gives the all clear, I'm gonna fuck you silly." He growled.

She flashed him a cat like grin.

"You'd better."

She'd be lying if she said that celibacy hadn't been as tough for her as it had been for Daryl, especially since up until now, she and Daryl had been used to having sex almost every day ... Sometimes twice a day. In fact, if she recalled correctly, they had had quite a wild romp in the sack the night before their son was born.

And it wasn't like they had any options for birth control anymore, other than natural remedies, and those were hit or miss anyway.

"Who knows? That little dude there might've been a fluke, he wasn't even supposed to happen in the first place, but I'm not gonna worry about it, if it happens, it happens.

"I never thought I'd be sayin' this, but bein' a momma looks good on you ... REAL good." He said as he grinned wolfishly at her.

"Keep talking like that, and we won't make it til six weeks." She replied.

"God I wish I could fuck you, you drive me crazy, woman!" He groaned.

"We might not be able to fuck, but there are ... Other ways we can have fun." She purred as her hand slowly slid south, seeking the prize that was pressing against her hip.

"Have I mentioned his much I fucking love you?" He said.

She suddenly gripped his cock firmly, causing him to draw in a sharp breath.

"Why are we still talking?" She quipped as she kissed him.
