It had been months sense he last saw her. Word from the Never Fairies was she was finally coming back today. Jack could hardly wait to see her again. One of his best friends and big sister was finally coming home. Prismabella known to the spirit world as The Spirit of Rainbows was a bit of a shy person. Once she got to know someone to the point she was comfortable with them she was an open book. So full of life, creativity, and imagination Jack loved her as though they were blood related. Much like Peter, the Lost Children, the Never Fairies, and a few others the Guardians haven't met yet. That would change with time starting with Prismabella or Prizzy as Jack liked to call her. He was the only one she allowed to call her that which made him happy. It was a statement to how close they were.
Prizzy was close given the rainbow in the sky and the shapes the clouds were forming. Two of the things that her job intaled were these and Jack knew it had Prizzy's touch all over it. Turns out Jack was right as shortly after he saw her flying towards him as she yelled "Jackie" a name Jack let very few people call him. He stood up from the tree root he was sitting on and waved.
Soon as she landed they embraced as Jack picked her up and swung her around. When they released eachother Jack said "Man I missed you Prizzy. How are you? Have you really healed enough from the Kyto insident? I heard it was bad. I'm sorry I couldn't help but the battle with Pitch happened at the same time and..."
Prismabella interrupted him "Jackie..Jackie calm down ok your worry babbling again. To answer your questions I missed you too. I'm doing fine now. Yes I've completely healed from the Kyto insident. It wasn't as bad as you think as we didn't loose any Fairies this time, and Tinkerbell improved her collar for him. We don't know how he broke the first one. And don't you dare be sorry for not helping or start blaming yourself for it either. No one knew a simple visit would turn into a battle against that dragon. Also you were busy protecting the world from Pitch. There is no way you could have helped even if you did know about it at the time. And neither of us found out about eachother's battles until they were done and over with. So no more sad face ok?" She cupped his face as she said this and, he smiled back. "Atta boy now tell me everything that happened since I left and I'll tell you my story afterwords ok?"
Jack did just that. Prismabella was livid with Pitch. As well as the Easter and Antarctica incidents. She had the mind to tell the Guardians off but, realized that was already taken care of. So she decided to keep it to herself unless needed. As for Pitch she decided that if she ever ran into him again she'd at least join in on kicking his butt for what he did to Jack and tried to do to the children. She hugged and congratulated him at the end of the battle story for how he did and, becoming a Guardian.
Then he described his injuries, introducing Peter and some of the Never Fairies, meeting Ombric and Katherine, and the relationship he was developing with both Katherine and Baby Tooth. She couldn't help but comment at that. "Sounds like Baby Tooth is becoming another sister for you. Ombric is right about names being powerful though. Not to alarm you but something will most likely happen. No telling what but, if it does it'll happen soon maybe in the next few months. See magical beings like Fairies whom are born into magic are more susceptible to the power names have. Especially if they are not given one at birth. But I don't think it'll be anything bad. That all depends on what the name is, if you stumble upon their true name, and the intent behind the name. Being a former Never Fairy myself you you learn these things."
That got rid of the worried look on his face but he had a question "What do you mean by true name?"
She took his hand in her's smiling and explained. "Well that's a bit complicated. Have you ever read The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini?" Jack nodded and waited for her to continue. "Well his version is similar to the truth you see discovering a true name is hard but only magical people and magical animals are influenced by them. Some know other's true names by instinct. Some are long or short. For example being one syllable or word. It's not as dangerous as Paolini's version however, one is not forced to do whatever a person who knows and, uses their true name orders. It does however form a magical bond between them. Meaning getting empathic and, telepathic abilities that only pertain to eachother. It's a very strong and sacred bond. So sharing your true name is very serious."
"It also give one an insight to who one truly is. Never Fairies for example know their true names right away and that is what everyone calls them. Though the abilities aren't as strong as it is in others they do have a bit of the empathic and telepathic abilities with others and don't mind sharing them with others. I myself being a former Never Fairy have the true name instinct and know and use my true name. We are a bit touchy with nicknames because most of the time telling others of your true self makes nicknames sound like an insult. The nickname you call me doesn't do that for me but, for reasons I don't quite understand. However your the only one that doesn't happen with. I think that may be because our bond is stronger than normal so it's not effected by nicknames."
"As for Baby Tooth she never had a name until you gave her one. That gives one a new sense of identity and self. Which is a powerful thing. Also if you stumbled upon even part of her true name it may change her in unpredictable ways. This is partially due to the bond of namer and nami is strong outside of Never Fairy culture. It may change her form, her powers, or what kind of Fairy she is. It is rare but sometimes beings who are born magical are ment for something different than the world or job they were born into. If Baby Tooth was not ment to be a Tooth Fairy though she was born one discovering her true name or the beginnings of it may change her to fit what she was ment to be. Ombric though he knows alot does not know everything. Yes I've met him a long time ago actually but, that's a story for another day. My point is people who have even a slight instinct of true names need this information. It's dangerous not to know for it can cause chaos but, for people who don't have it it isn't well known. It's a way of protecting ourselves. As for why I'm telling you this is I believe you have a developing true name instinct and need to know."
"As for the intent well that is something everyone magical or not is effected by. It means that any name you call someone being their given, true, or nicknames can have a a positive or negative effect emotionally or mentally. So any questions?"
He didn't have any and thanked her for the information. Just then they heard a sound that was impossible for them to be mistaken of. It was the sound of Prismabella's pet cloud Kit. He came wooshing in with a call of "Koo Koooo!" and nearly takled Jack to the ground. Jack laughed as Kit cuddled up to him. Then Jack said "Woah easy easy Kit I missed you too. How are you Buddy?" Kit in his own language that to others sounded like nothing but the Koo sound proceeded to tell Jack how happy he was that Prismabella was better and that they were finally home. He then began to babble slightly about what he couldn't wait to do and see now that they were home and together again. jack being one of the few who could understand Kit listened intently until the little guy talked himself out. when he was done Jack said " Wow that all sounds fun. I'd love to do some of it with you but, right now I have somthing else in mind that i believe you'll both like. How about we head up north and go to Santoff Claussen? I'd like to introduce you both to the other Guardians if that's alright? you can tell me and if you want the others your story then. That way they can get to know you and you them. Whatdo you say?"
She seemed a little hessitant at first but summoning her courage Prismabella nodded. Jack was proud of his sister. He knew how shy and anxtious she could be. Especially in new situations and with new people. He could tell she was nervous but was willing to fight through it not just for him but, for herself as well. He knew in his heart that introducing her to the Guardians was the right thing to do. They were gonna love her and she them, he could feel it.With that he held her hand in his and the three of them flew off toward Santoff Claussen.
