(A/N: Hiccup Chief/Drago is coming-John Powell HTTYD 2 Score)

(Starlight's POV)

"It was a beautiful morning, one like many on our island. But something was wrong. This morning father wasn't in our cave and mother seemed worried. When I ask mother where father was she just smiled and said that he had something important he had to attend to.ButI could tell she wasn't telling the truth.

"Aaaahah!"

"Yahhh!" I shouted. "Flash! What are you doing?"

"What am I doing? What are you doing? You looked like you were taking a flight on the moon."

"What does that even mean?" I ask.

"I have no idea." My brother replied. "I just heard it from Crest."

I just rolled my eyes in annoyance and jumped off the cliff edge that I had been sitting on. As I flew though the air, I once again felt the thrill of flying, the feeling of the air rushing over my black scales, the beautiful view from high in the sky... it was magical.

"Do you have any idea where father went?" Flash says from behind

I sigh.

"No I don't" I replied. "Mother just said that he had some place that he needed to go to."

"I hope everything is ok" my brother says,

"Me to." I replied a voice that showed my concern.

"Well of we are going to go find him now would be a good time." Said Flash.

I give my brother a look that said "seriously".

"What!" He replied " I just know how much you hate secrets and how you would probably try to find out we're father went sooner or later so what better time than when mother is down at colony and us four are the only ones here. Besides, you know mother and father won't tell you anything so it would probably be better to find exactly where father went.

I roll my eyes at my brother again and fly higher into the sky.

"Where did father go? He probably received some urgent message from Crest or one of his other friends. I think I remember hearing a dragon landing on the sand outside our cave last night. Hmmm... Flash is right. As mush as I would ask, mother will never tell me were father went. I suppose it won't hurt to at least ask around and see if anyone saw my father leaving. Rush might, she's an early-morning-riser.

"Well??" Says Flash, breaking me from my thoughts.

Without saying a world I turn around and dive for the clearing where Midnight and Nighfall are playing together.

"Yes!" I Flash says from behind me as he too tucks into a dive towards the clearing.

Midnight's POV

"The sky was so beautiful. With its infinite amount of blues and massive fluffy clouds that turned to mist when you flew though them..."

Midnight was laying on his back looking up at the vast sky trying to calm down his nervousness. When he had woken up Father was gone and so was Starlight and Mother seemed worried. But when he ask her what was wrong, she just smiled and told him that everything was fine.

"I sure hope nothing happened to Father. I hope he didn't get attacked or shot down by humans."

When Midnight was very young, his Father had told him and his siblings about the humans and how they hunted and killed dragons. It had made Midnight angry, and scared, and sad all at once.

"But why?" Nightfall had asked. "Why do attack us when we won't attack them? I mean, we are big, strong, and frankly, it would be stupid for a human to even want to attack one of us."

"Because they see us as a threat." Father had replied. "They see us as mindless animals who do nothing but kill. So they attack us when whenever they have a chance. It is because of humans that out numbers are so few. We are a prize to them. Other dragons are so common that when they have a chance to kill one of us, they will always take it."

"Make no mistake." He had said, "humans are dangerous creatures and are not to be trusted."

Father was always reminding him and his siblings about the humans and how dangerous theywere. Because of this, Midnight was very afraid of these gangly, little creatures.

"Maybe I should go find Starlight. She would know what to do."

Suddenly something big and heavy pounced on top of him. In surprise Midnight rolled and trashed until the other dragon pined him to the ground. The other dragon let out a giggle and a snort of satisfaction.

"Haha, got ya!" The female night fury said with glee.

"Ug, Nightfall!" Midnight groaned.

"What?" She replied. "I was practicing my stalking. And you had no clue I was here."

"Well, get off!" He shouted.

The weight was suddenly gone as Nightfall stepped off of Midnight. Midnight stood up and took a deep breath. Then, with a mischievous grin, Midnight launched himself at Nightfall and tackled her to the ground. They thrashed about for a few minutes until Midnight was once again on his back, pinned by his sister once more. Nightfall smiled proudly and gave Midnight a look that said " What to try again?"

Suddenly the ground thumped as two dragons landed next to them. Startled by the sound, the Midnight and his sister stopped fighting and look in the direction of the thumps.

"What are you guys doing?" Chuckled Starlight.

"I was enjoying the morning when someone attacked me." Replied Midnight as he shot Nightfall a frustrated glare.

Nightfall shrugged, " Father says I need to practice my stealth so I figured now was as good a time as any. What are you two doing?"

"Welllll," said Flash. "We were thinking..."

"What Flash is trying to says is that we are going to try and see if we can find Father while Mother is away." Replied Starlight.

"Really!" Replied Midnight excitedly

"Yes!" Said Nightfall. "When do we leave?"

"Right now if you two are ready." Replied Starlight.

"Ready!" Both Midnight and Nightfall said in unison.

"Then lets go!" Said Flash.

Starlight and her siblings jumped into the sky in the "V" formation that father had taught them. Starlight was the leader with Midnight on her left and Flash and Nightfall on her right.

"Where are we going first?" Asked Midnight.

"Well, there is only really one dragon close enough who could have seen Father leave." Replied Starlight. "So we are going to go talk to her and see if she saw father leave."

Midnight and Nightfall looked at each other, and then looked back at Starlight who turned her head and gave them a smile.

"Yes." She replied. " We are going to see Rush.

Far away, on an beautiful island just outside of the Barbaric Archipelago, Shadow landed on a cliff overlooking a large canyon. The dragon who he was supposed to meet with had not yet arrived so he sat there and studied the landscape around him. The canyon below him had a river running through it with massive pine trees lining the banks. The walls of the canyon were gray-green with moss and other small plants that were growing on the walls. Suddenly a loud thump came from behind him and Shadow turned to face the new dragon.

"Sorry I am late," replied the dragon.

"It's fine." Replied Shadow. "You said you had some information for me?"

"Yes." the dragon replied. "And I'm afraid that it isn't good."

"Why?" Asked Shadow. "What happened?"

"I saw him." Replied the dragon. "I saw that Nigh Fury killer. I saw the human who is responsible for the murder of the Night Fury species. And he is coming this way.

Chapter two is finally done! Thank you all for being patient and waiting for this update. I've been very busy with school and the holidays so I haven't had the time to write. I will be starting chapter three soon and I can't wait. Thanks again, Eric.
