Alright Lillie, don't panic... Take a deep breath... Fuu, fuu, haah... Yes, yes, just like that. You are a brave, good girl. Of course, beautiful too if I may add. So, it's all gonna be okay... Don't worry.

...Like HELL, it's gonna be. Uuuuuu~ why the hell is this happening to me? The elite GROUP of twenty-five people was killed, well one managed to survive, barely if I may add. True, comparing to Gunshot, Ultra Guardians are powerful, quality over quantity but what about me? Comparing to the likes of UG, I am just a beginner, in fact way below even to the likes of Gunshot. If the beast could kill those elite members of Gunshot in a heartbeat, then ain't I just a free meal? Nothing is going to change even if I try to console myself, is there?

I was right about it. I knew that my premonition over bad feelings would come true. Aghh~ my stomach. It hurts. I can go home, right? Damn it, this goes beyond the horizon of just getting training. Wicke, I hate you. I was tricked. Of course, this was all inside my head, on the upfront, I was as calm as a silent lake, just listening to what Looker had to say. This goes without saying that this world doesn't work on fairness and equality. I mean, forget me being a minor, I don't even have a registered pokemon. Though I could probably solve it in a way, that doesn't change anything. You can't fly a plane just by looking at it, now can you?

Conditionally, the one surviving member of the Gunshot, albeit badly injured managed to inform the HOUSE, about the threat lurking around the Alola. I can honestly tell how he felt and how frustrating he was, as I was about to go through the same in a short moment. All the difference was, the one lying dead would probably be me. Damn, son of mother Arceus. Even someone as benevolent as me couldn't help but curse at the face of my fate.

Mr. Looker further empathized the point made by that surviving member of the Gunshot. Second, for those who hadn't managed to get the concept of HOUSE, it is similar to a guild in the game, but let's leave all those unnecessary subjects for later. Anyway, from the brief explanation of the surviving member, before he lost his consciousness due to blood loss, they were totally overpowered. Not a single member of the Gunshot was able to see the creature except for the blurring silhouette, just like in the taken photo. That just proved how fast the creature was. Just with speed alone, the creature was able to overpower one of the elite groups of Alola.

Hearing his story, even the HOUSE couldn't help but act, thus, gaining the attention of international police and the Ultra Guardians. Even the HOUSE couldn't help but pity the man, himself as the raging of fierce emotions wielded inside him, anger, frustration, weakness, impediment, unable to do anything but run while watching his friends die at the hand of such monstrosity. Same friends that had been through many things alongside him, they now exist no more. They couldn't outmaneuver the monster of that scale to run away. Thus, the friends at least thought to produce some materials to get revenge and barely success to push one of their friends outside the territory of the blur monster. Even with all their might, the blurry picture was all they could manage. While their death was truly sad, some part of me couldn't help but think that they did a sloppy job at getting evidence.

It would have been better if they had managed to get a slightly better picture, but the HOUSE managed to get the gist of what kind of monster it was through the sloppy picture. The mutant with insanely high speed. Though few pokemon came to my mind, I know I can't relate to it as the nature of the Aether was unknown. It could even turn the Munchlax into a rocket launcher. From the base of five to all the way toward two hundred or even more. Ughh~ I don't even know what is happening anymore. Things are just escalating to an even more dangerous route. And all I wanted was to sleep inside my room while playing games.

First I was dragged out, then I was asked to catch the mutant. Before we could complete the task of catching, we were forced the meeting with the international police. And like that wasn't enough, some asshole deliberately put the secretive file on the table, on the good side, I was able to form a good bond with Anabel. I don't know what their plan was, but now they are stalking me, causing me to feel uncomfortable. If they were literally hiding behind the pole or something, it would have been at least better but the stalker is completely invisible. I don't even know what their plans are and why they are doing all this? And to make the load heavier, now there is a monster capable of massacring its way through elite GROUPS. And, we have to fight such a thing.

In all, the letter I wrote when trying to leave the house wasn't that farfetched, huh... Maybe my life force was really meant to come to an end here. It would have been great if there was at least some sort of lifeline but they were none. Sad but nonetheless, the truth. There was none the single thread that I could hope on. Maybe it's finally the time to give on to this sad life and move on... Like hell, I would... I can't die at least without getting myself a boyfriend. It may come with a surprise but I sure ain't planning to die a virgin life.

Thus, sorting out all the difficult emotions inside me, we headed toward where the monster laid. Let's show the monster that the Ultra Guardians are a force to be reckoned with no matter the cost. If not for my inner turmoil, the words would have much impact but sadly wasn't the case. But hey, I am the only one who knows. Anyway, talking about the party, joining for the mission was two members of International Police, Looker, and Anabel. I just found out but looks like Anabel was above Looker. Talk about a total surprise. Well, considering it is Anabel we are talking about, as hard-working and amazing as she is, it comes with no doubt that she was born to stand higher.

Leaving aside Anabel and Looker, who were the ones proposing the idea, we were accompanied by ten other members of Aether Foundation. The nine members were right under the command of Faba, the one who works directly under my mother. To be honest, I don't really have much impression of him, except that he keeps buzzing next to my mother, like some insects dancing around the fire. Though the statement would be that he sees my mother weirdly, in reality, he was just a pawn my mother keeps, like a toy to be used. Well, I don't care as long as he keeps his distance from me. Right now, he is engaged in conversation with Looker, while I am waking side-by-side with Anabel, a bit distance from the rest of the members of UG.

"Are you nervous, Lillie?" Anabel asked looking at my way, "considering this is your first battle."

"I'm okay... Don't worry. A little bit ready on the bright side." Just the statement, I don't want Anabel to worry over me when she wasn't out of the danger zone herself. Considering the fact that she was just a lump of Aetheric energy, there is no way she could be safe when she would attract a lot of attention from mutations. I can't really tell how her body functions but I am pretty sure, it hadn't been easy for Anabel too. There is no way, right... Can you really live peacefully when attracting killing machines toward yourself?

Though I was keeping my calm, I wasn't able to hide my anxiety fully. I am glad Anabel didn't question me further. I'm sure she was worried but since I was keeping a distance, she was respecting my wish. It wouldn't be weird if she knew how I felt too. I don't know if it was a good thing or not to keep our problem to ourselves but I am sure we both have the same thought, that is to not show our anxiety to others, not to be a burden. But no matter how you look at the situation, a girl who attracts the mutants and a girl without any power, putting it bluntly, they are indeed a burden to the team.

Thus, to get rid of our anxiety, we steered the conversation in a different direction. While keeping up with various updates along with some silly talk, we reached the point where the veil ends. I could see various devices, that look like pillars forming a barrier, known as a veil. Naturally, it goes without saying that not only it prevents the Aethers transaction, but not a single thing could also enter and exit through the veil. Of course, that goes for air too. Then you may consider how could people inside the veiled breathe? If people just start taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide, naturally, the amount of oxygen decreases. But that would be if the land was a wasteland, but the inside of the veil is completely ecofriendly.

Also, the work of the pillars isn't just to create barriers, you know. It can also do various other things including supplying oxygen to the people living inside. It can also work as a substitute for ozone, preventing global warming, creating artificial rainclouds, and various. Well, not that all these pieces of information matters to me since the work are usually done by admins, previously knows as kahuna of Alola.

After walking a bit, we reached the checkpoint where guards are standing by. Since we can't exit wherever we want, we have to go to the near checkpoint and submit the reason before heading out. We could have just flown to the outskirts of Melemele from Paradise but since it would be faster, we decided to teleport back to school. And for me to catch a mutation before heading to where the monster lies. Even if I am keeping calm, I honestly don't want to just go to where the monster was empty-handed. At least, if we were to walk there, we could find the mutation on the way. I would catch it and register. Ans with Anabel with my sight, it would be faster.

Looker and Faba went to the post to describe the situation. Well, considering who we are, we could get the bypass in a jiffy. Though it would be hard for normal citizens to get a pass. While this scene might not make much to members of Ultra Guardians, this is my first time here. I watched the point carefully. It was a lot secure than I thought. First was the two teleportation circle, one inside and outside at a distance of five to six meters. A tall tower for the lookout and a reception room. I could also see the few people armed with their respective SKIN.

After a few minutes, Looker and Faba came back, along with the muscle-built person. We were all requested to stand on the teleportation circle while the muscle-built man ordered his men to activate the mechanism. The mechanism was similar to what our school had. The men who had been ordered used the key to activate the teleportation. Well, the difference was they didn't have a secret table like in our school.

Once activated, we were enveloped with white light, disappearing from one while coming out of another. And it goes without saying that I was hit by dizziness. Just how many times does this make in a single day? No matter how many times we do this, I still can't get used to teleporting from place to place, no matter the distance.
