A million-dollar question: Do you feel happy knowing someone toyed you around?

Eh! The question was so stupid that it wasn't worth a single dollar. Geez, cut it out, will ya? Just answer it. How do you feel knowing someone was steering your life car.

Here is my answer...

I think the answer to the question lies depending on the situation, based on the profit and loss life statement. Depending on which situation you are in, your answer may vary. I believe the person that can act all good and well doesn't exist. Hypocrisy may exist but not the person with goodwill, who would put other persons' well-being before himself. Why do you think? I may be wrong but it's genuine. It's not that such a person doesn't exist but such a person would lose in this society, in this late-era where everyone is fighting for greatness. Nobody would remember a loser.

There are people who made name for themselves in history, I agree but the path they took wasn't any less thorny. While you know the name of those whose names are written in the book of history, has a question ever occurred in your mind that; just how many of such people perished along with the passage of time, without the future generation knowing what they did? For example; take people who participated during the Pokewar, or during the apocalypse of Aether... You may know the great name or the rank from general or commander, but don't you think the people battled in war who fought for the country made equal contributions? They made sacrifices of their own tears, family, and blood. Don't you think they are heroes too?

But we barely find their name. Those brave and courageous soldiers just vanished without the future generation knowing about them. Anyway, getting back to the topic, what I want to say is, Our lives balance on the value of profit and loss. You don't believe me, then I wouldn't force my point of view on you. Just check and observe your surrounding. Tell me one thing though, if every human could walk the path of virtual, I believe there will be no rape and NTR doujin, ah! ahem* I mean no corruption, fraud, and depravity. All people with smiles on their faces, only light exists on this earth. Odd, imagining everyone with a freaking smile was kinda creepy. Guess, it was true that light and dark are two sides of the same coin.

But that doesn't change anything. Believe me, a poor wouldn't mind getting toyed by the riches if he could climb higher in the hierarchy called the society. Is there anyone who would want a comfortable life? Basic human necessities: Food, clothes, shelter, education, and health. But you work so that you can have more, don't you? Foolish as it is, let's look at the fool's work. Why not let your friends do your homework? After all, you can submit your work while resting at your home. A pleasuring satisfaction while bullying your friends. A work that can be done while paying money. Don't you feel frustrated when some rich kid literally pays for the gacha and get the good SSR, while you either have to work hard to earn gems or sacrifice your food for the day? And the worst part: No good item for you, as you aren't blessed by the gacha god... Sucks, huh?

Wow! so many useless sentences, huh? Well, what I want to comply with is that humans work similarly to profit and loss. If you are profiting, then all is fine and a loss for you, well it's a loss. To raise, you need to throw someone down and that's the fact. So, based on the profit or loss you gain, the fact doesn't change if the other party was using you or not. If profit from it, that person may turn a god for you. If lost, that person is evil. Just a single profit and loss changes the view of how you were used.

And just like how normal society works, I am not happy at all. Because we played the game the monster laid for us and we didn't gain a single thing. So, in my eyes, the monster is pure evil, someone who needs to be killed. A hypocrite statement, I believe but that's just how it is. After all, the good and evil is also based on the term profit and loss. You don't believe me... Fine, whatever. You must have at least heard of chivalry thieves, right? You know those who steal from riches and distribute it to the poor. Now, how do you think the thief is viewed? The riches who sustained the loss from the action of the thief, he is an evil and vile person. The poor who gained something from the thief, he is the light and messiah.

The same action of the thief can be viewed from a different perspective. That's why I don't really believe what is good and what is evil. I just support the statement if there is profit for me. But wait a minute, isn't thievery a bad thing? Of course, they are evil. But you know, the laws and order are also created by people. After all, not all thieves can be chivalric. N' their action wouldn't have any benefit for you. It's not like there exists something like a heavenly principle, a law created by an entity other than humans. If such a law existed, then it may be life and death. After all, if you are born, then you have to die. You can't cheat that perspective.

I wonder how the world would turn if such a law exists that humans can't defy. But sadly, that's not the case. You can't kill another person, and there are rules that you can't kill some dangered animals. But if you do, you can relatively get out of the situation by just bribing. Those lives are worth the printed paper, no? How amusing. If both parties profited from it, then why not. And thus, the vicious life cycle of our society where the challenge is everything.

But I have zero complaints about how society works. After all, I am the same. I am by no means the virtuous person. I work so that I profited from it. In fact, everyone does. If you think about good and evil, you may as well die of hunger. After all, from the perspective of those plants and animals, you are evil for killing their families. Good for humans that those creatures aren't intelligent to think about revenge. Just kidding... It is an ecosystem, right? Let's just put it that way.

Wow! the nerve of me, to think all the useless information while in the intimidating presence of the monster. I might as well when I have a chance as such, the monster was currently busy with the bickering with Anabel. Honestly, I am not really happy with my current predicament. Not just the situation I am in, I am also not supportive of how the monster made us play into his hand. As I said, I am someone who values profit and winning, as the situation we fall in because of the monster wasn't really a good thing from my perspective, thus because all I got are bad luck and loss, I am mad. Ahaha, all those useless information n' all I wanted to imply was, I don't like being used.

Well~ then again, considering the power difference between us, I doubt being mad would help me. Free food that I am, it doesn't change that the reason we fell into this situation was because of our own lack of visualization. Though if looking at it properly, it is less being used and we walked right into the trap it laid, but there are barely any subtle changes. But if I have to say, I am quite impressed by how the monster makes use of our own information to miss lead us. Dayum! Now no matter how much I felt inferior, I have to say that I can't help but respect the monster.

If you look back at it, everything makes sense. The first thing to consider was our negligence to our information. We have done many kinds of research on the topic of mutants that we took for granted that they can't develop high intellect. This was our basic and the biggest mistake that allowed the monster to laid its trap more easily. This made us thought that the monster attacks thoughtlessly whoever defies its territory. And to boost the statement, it started attacking the GROUPs that ventured into its territory. And it made preparation to lead the false information by letting small members of the GROUPs go.

Of course, hearing about the potential threat of the monster, many high-ranking GROUPs ventured out to seek the monster. And that was a great chance for the monster. That not only allowed the monster to flaunt its power to lure out the bigger power but it could also eliminate many powerful GROUPs that would hinder his upcoming plan. It was like hitting two birds with one stone. And by proving itself to be stronger, it managed to lure out the UG who are possibly the main threat for the attack it prepared.

All in all, it managed to perform the plan flawlessly. That was a nicely executed plan if I say so myself. And as the result, we are not stuck in a stalemate with the monster. The stalemate was a nice word to put it when in reality, it was because the monster wasn't doing anything, or more precisely, it was bickering with Anabel over a nickname that I can calmly access our current situation and currently allowed to live. If we have to fight, I wonder what kind of situation we would find ourselves in?

"Do you really believe that your plan would succeed?" Anabel sneered changing the flow of conversation from her nickname to the main topic. "Nice try but the city itself is surrounded by the barrier. No matter how much you try, you will never succeed in attacking the town."

"Then why don't we try to find the answer?" The monster snapped his finger.

In the calm snap of his finger, the whole island shook like the earthquake suddenly hit the surface. But even an idiot could tell that it wasn't really an earthquake but the effect created by a large number of mutants running. Even looking from where we are, we could see the dust rising from the ground, especially in the three major areas. To sum it all, the horde of the mutants are going after the three teleportation checkpoints of Melemele Island. The rumbling of the ground and the terror of the mutants creeping up was like the apocalypse humankind first felt when the Aether first hit the earth.

At least on the small scale to say. But considering the target is just a small area of the whole world, I guess even such a small scale can't be ignored. But comparing to the past, we have a lot of countermeasures, so we aren't hopeless yet. We managed to fight back in the past and this time will be the same, we will fight back.
