All the damn big talk but look at us, unable to do a single thing. Well, it would be me who is just a hindrance actually. But it can't be helped. That's right, after all, I was thrown into the battlefield without any power. Unlike my friends, I don't even have a registered SKIN. Honestly, there is nothing I can do except for watching the battle. In fact, the plan I came up with was all I could manage at the time. I mean I can't just go and punch the monster, right? Do you really think my punch can deal more damage than a bullet? Nope! So, as a matter of fact, let's keep on watching.

But even at my friends' side, the battle hasn't been an easy one. Ever since the fail attempt to put the ball into its mouth, it has gotten more ferocious, pushing my friends. Not for Anabel protecting me, I would be dead by now. Why? Because it is me the monster is actually targeting right now. I guess that's to be expected from the police. She is protecting me from the monster without any flaws. Actually, the only problem was how powerful and speedy the monster was. Even with her all prior training and experience, the monster proved to be a difficult opponent.

"Future sight," Anabel's eyes glow bright pink as she began to see the movements of the monster for about ten seconds in the future. "Mamane, two seconds, thirty-degree clockwise... six seconds, ninety-degree... nine seconds, forty-degree anti-clockwise." At least, that's what she told me. And I retaliate that message back to Mamane through the call feature. Honestly, it was a pain due to the time it would take back and forth.

Anabel's psychic power was reliable. Not only for the offense but can be used for defense. The future sight allows the user to see the future for a certain time with seventy percent accuracy. Let's say, Anabel decided to say the future out loud, if the monster were to hear it, it would take a different course, downing the possibility to complete zero. So, it was necessary for the 'sight' to remain secrecy to obtain a more accurate result. And with Anabel, who can calculate the timing, it just makes her perfect use. Honestly, she is just perfect, if it was a game, it would surely be one of the best cards to play, super rare type. Can only be obtained after pulling 100s times and remaining hungry for days to come.

If she was soloing, it would be different, but with the party, having told Mamane could play a vital role with his 'field' feature. He could access the movements of the monster, giving the whole team coordination, giving us chance to strike back. It was especially handful when considering how fast the monster was. But point was, by the time, I would be relaying the message, he can't play the role in 2 seconds. Just think about the loss we could incur by not utilizing the slight chance Anabel gave us. Well, Mamane can play his part, after all, he is quite intelligent. And the support from Anabel is from the direction Mamane is looking, so quite simple to know where the monster was going to strike next.

Just like that, Anabel remained on defense, surrounding us with a psychic barrier and giving direction to Mamane. Though his response would be quite late, we can still work with the rest of the remaining. And with Mamane, giving other members the movement of the monster, they can push back the monster quite hard. But how could everything be so simple? Along with the battle, even the monster began to realize how his movements were getting monitored. So, he also began to choose his next move carefully, making future sight quite unreliable. After all, if the sight were to prove wrong, our side will get a grim result.

The monster launched a heavy kick toward our heavy hitter but get blocked by the shield-wielding user. Even then, Kiawe bent a little when considering the pressure he got from that hit. Lana, using that chance, used her fishing rod like a whip, raining a water blade on the monster. Just like with Z, Lana can cause quite a destruction when attacking, so the monster launched backward dodging the attack from Lana.

"Area heal!" The roots popped from the ground as it began to heal everyone in the vicinity, leaving the monster outside of it, of course. Given without saying, Mallow can control her roots and choose the target. Though she can't go full offense, when it comes to support, she is the best out there. Unlike Anabel and Mamane, who are battle supporters, she can be considered a lifesaver. If you have played games, you can tell it, right? How much a healer means to a party. And truth is, it's not a game where you can just suck a potion and get a full hp. And even Mallow has her limit, she can't go on forever while healing. It's not just Mallow, it applies to everyone here.

While my friends are fighting, let me tell you a bit about the infamous SKIN. While SKIN may be amazing items, it puts a heavy load on one's body if overused. While you can carry up to six cards, you can't use all their abilities. You may already tell after how seeing how my friends are battling. Anabel using psychic, Lana, water-based attack, Mallow, grass, Mamane, electric, and Kiawe, fire. Though, Kiawe has some restrictions as he can just use that crystallite to generate a high fire element. It's because Kiawe uses another one. Rock, considering his shield. It's all because of the limitation SKIN creates in one's body.

Though our battle suit has a function in supporting, it wouldn't be forever. Thus, you could say that it would be better for a person if they could only rely on a single element than going for multiple. There are various reasons for carrying multiple SKINs. You can never be sure when venturing outside the veil and it wouldn't hurt to be on the more cautious side. 'Great power comes with great responsibilities,' but 'Great power doesn't come for free.'

Well, that is the general outlook of the power source of humans. It's not that it prevents people from using more elements, but using more means harming your own body. Even Kiawe could barely hold when using two elements. Well, he has his own reason for relying on two elements. Well, even I don't know much why Kiawe shows such will in wielding two elements when he knows it won't be easy. After all, many people tried only to face with worse outcome.

Getting back to the battle, as it went on, there was one person who the monster found quite annoying. Do you believe it was Anabel who was protecting me? Nah! I am extremely useless, no doubt even the monster wouldn't have much preference over me. Then, just who is that person, you may ask. Think about it for a second, what do you usually find annoying during the battle against the boss or PVP? Simple, healing techniques or healers... If we have it, fine but just how much irritation it causes when the enemy keeps healing again and again. And if that's much profound healing, you will find out that the opponent can heal faster than you can damage it. Here, Mallow has such profounding ability of healing.

Mallow's SKIN, leaf, allows her to access and interact with the forest. So, she can use various grass-type moves too, especially focused on healing. And her suit's special feature, leaves, amplifies her healing abilities with an AoE effect. Having healers have a great effect but the same can't be said when the enemy possesses such power. And right now, the monster may be thinking the same.

Thus, the move the monster made was to target Mallow. But before it could hit Mallow, Kiawe got in the way holding his shield down. Surprising to all of us, the monster suddenly changed its target, making Mamane his next object. Because of its speed, the monster covered the distance really fast, without giving Kiawe any chance to meddle. Lana whipped her fishing rod but the monster simply dodged it as well as bullets from Looker and pigs. And long before we could do any further, Mamane was hit by one powerful punch from the monster in his stomach.

Mamane vomited a mouthful of blood while clutching his stomach. He fell to his knees, unable to keep up the strength. Honestly, he should be thankful to his big belly for actually observing much pressure from that punch otherwise, if it had been any of us, we would be flying seven heavens afar. We then heard the roar of the anger. It was Kiawe as he shouted while dashing toward the monster with spikes filled big shield. Well, I guess, I could understand his pain, considering he had the ability to protect Mamane but was unable to do it. He didn't even get to envelop Mamane into shield particle that usually allows him to protect one person.

But honestly, I would like him to stop, simple, he can't win, not when he actually lost his mind. The monster simply put his hand out blocking Kiawe's dash attack. And then, "Release." As the monster said that, unseen energy hit Kiawe throwing him backward. If this keeps ongoing, we can't win. Despite our effort, we haven't even success to put a scratch on the monster's body while two of our members are already down to their knees.

The monster is just too powerful...
