Breath steadily, Lillie. Keep your calm. You are doing great. Comforting myself, I faced the monster. Even when I am just parrying, it took all my effort to keep up with the monster. And a single hit could literally finish me off. My defense is literally none to nothing, so I can only rely on instinct to dodge the attack of the monster and attack it.
Three points are what is allowing me to keep up with the monster. Well, if we are talking about injuring it... yup! I haven't made a single scratch.
First is my own ability to adapt to the fighting style. Now, I ain't with someone who would follow rules and all. So, I can go all out with my own style. Rules are thrown to the drain. And with the help of Anabel, who controls the shape and power of the barrier surrounding me, even the literal kick I throw could be fatal. Though that may not mean much when it comes to the monster.
The second was using the power of the monster against itself. It was a low but powerful weapon. After all, every hit of the monster was simple yet mind-blowing destructive. And even it has to follow the rule of physics at the end. Thus, I could manage to parry and re-attack.
The third is an important but risky move. In another word, how the monster's transformation works. Since I am bullying it thus, I am taking its ability to think but it is about the time before it realizes. I knew about it when I found how someone was behind the monster. The monster is capable of intelligence but not so much as we thought. It was clear from all the pranks and plans I pulled.
Here is how the transformation works. Unlike normal Ditto, it doesn't have to use transform upon seeing the Pokemon neither it could automatically transform up to seen pokemon. It could freely change its shape. Though I don't know how but I could be cautious that it can transform into literally any pokemon. And also it can't transform into a mutant. And downside was, it can only adapt to the style of transformed pokemon. What I mean is, when it was transformed into Pheromosa, its speed was top notch but it couldn't access that speed when it transformed into Machamp. And the reason we managed to injure it was because Pheromosa's defenses are weak, to begin with.
And transforming into a Machamp caused its defenses to raise and its physical attack remained high as before. But in return, its speed lowered. Or more precisely, the speed was adjusted to the level of Machamp, now Machamp can't compare to Pheromosa, can it? So here is the main disadvantage for me, as long the monster transform into something with some high special attack, I can't counter it. I mean I never practiced countering the flamethrower. In a way, you could say it transforming into a Machamp was a serious advantage for me, like even a beginner could easily counter its move when its moves are so simple and easy to read.
Thus, I can only move until the monster realizes its fatal mistake. And I am buying time by taking the monster's ability to think by making it angrier. Though I don't know why I am trying to buy a time? Maybe some help is going to come? Or maybe it's just a push before death...
"Grrrr!" With the angry roar, the monster charged toward me. Though I said, it is slower than before, but comparing to human-like myself, it was a lot faster. It goes without a doubt that a simple carelessness could cost me more than I can account for.
Well, even with such speed, I didn't flutter. Cause despite its speed, it was as straightforward as it could be. Hence, the high-speed punch that bore down toward me, I simple moved down to dodge it. But rather than simply dodging, I then raised my right kick to hit the monster under its chin. With the help of Anabel, the power was simplified, thus even the monster stumbled a meter or two backward.
And to annoy the monster even further, I looked at him disappointingly and showed him a peaceful sigh, "V!"
"You... You bastard." The monster roared echoed throughout the destroyed forest. But its echoes were like a melody to my ears. After all, it's okay since it still hasn't realized the advantages I hold toward it. So, I still have some time to counter. With that said, let's move to plan B, actually injuring the monster. I don't know if we could succeed but hey, no work no food. And anyway, it would be better than just hitting it when I can't even injure the damn shit.
I made a small gesture to tell Anabel that we are shifting to plan B. Without even looking at her, I could already feel her nodding her head. And once more, I saw the monster charging toward me. But this time, rather than saying just a simple punch, it looked like it came with some sort of move. And truthfully, it was fast enough that I didn't even have to move a bit to engage in battle with the monster.
As soon as it came to me, the first thing it did was use one of its hands to grab my neck. Of course, the natural course would be to parry that hand and counter but then it used its other two hands to grab both my hand causing me to unable to counter its attack. How unfair that it has four hands. And of course, its next move was to slam my face with its remaining free hand. That was quite an amazing pull but too bad, as I simply wrapped my legs around its free arm like a snake, and just like the first time, I distorted my body slightly to the right to dishevel the monster movement to cause it once again to fall in its back.
The same rule, same application. I am really glad that the monster could throw such powerful punches at such speed. Thank you. And as a present for your effort: And without giving the monster any chance to retort, I slammed my knees right under his solar plexus. "Geh!" The monster cried in pain as it vomited the blood while grabbing both sides of its stomach, thus releasing my both hands. And me being me, I grabbed the chance to deliver another blow to its solar plexus before distancing myself from the monster.
The monster cried in pain while writhing in the ground. Now that is the scene I want to see. It goes without saying that I don't have the ability to injure the monster to such an extent. Even if I had hit the monster with my full power. It's when plan B came to action. The moment I hit the monster to its vital point, Anabel would then reform her barrier to the atomic level and used my arms as a medium to get them inside the monster's body.
Now here is a question for you: Suppose you get your hand on a bomb and an enemy troupe. Now with two options presented to you, whether you can drop the pin and throw it toward the roped soldier or put the bomb inside the month and close it? I don't know about it but I do find satisfaction with the latter option. Remember, I did the same with the DTW too.
And going back on hand, after making them enter its body, Anabel blasted them from the inside. I don't know how she did it but she somehow did which I am honestly not complaining about. Though not on the same level as DTW who cares, as long we hit its vital point. I managed to figure it out when Ditto was transformed into Pheromosa, its body wasn't that of slime when it got injured. Though I can't be so sure. A question of what if the inside of Machamp was the same as the slimy body? Then we couldn't have managed to injure its vital point. After all, it didn't get injured or bleed when I was bashing it, so I wasn't so sure how the inner mechanism of the Machamp was. But well, the effort paid up.
The good thing was, whenever the Ditto transformed, it also changes its inner work to match that of the pokemon it transformed. Thus, the Machamp wasn't made of slimy material but with bones and muscles. But in exchange, it received every benefit of the transformed mutant. In a way, this mutant Ditto was similar to any normal ones except given its ability to change freely into anything. And frankly, that point was what the most annoying along with its regeneration. Why? Because the monster was already back to its feet, even after all our effort. It's like even if I work to the death, I still have to go hungry.
And another point was, the monster has finally realized why I was holding my own against it. Well, I guess that's given. 'Tis time to say goodbye...
