Chapter I: The Prophecy and the Foretelling

Far away in a valley nestled in the highlands of Scotland lies a hidden castle that was but in the late nine hundreds anno dominai. This castle was built not with machinery but with magic.

Yes, real magic wielded by four powerful mages known as the Founders. Their names lost to history bar the names of their houses; Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

They also left behind their sacred treasures being a locket, cup, diadem and sword along with a dirty, black witches conical hat that was bespelled with unknown magics to sort castle is in fact a school. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, dedicated to teaching young boys and girls across the length and breathe of Scotland and later England to properly harness the gift that is magic as its practiced today is totally different from ages passed. For in an age along since passed there existed magic, but it was split into five separate elements, those being Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and in this lost age, a lost city whose name and place is nothing but dust was home to the White Tower. A place for women alone to practice the magic of the elements known as Saidin. But everything must have a balance. For Saidin, its Saidar which was the male equivilent but during the lost age, the White Tower sought out males who wielded the Power as it was collectively known as, and bound them. For the White Tower feared the rise of the Dragon Reborn.

Not because of his prophesized rebirth. But because in an even earlier age, the Dark One whose name was Shaitan from his prison manipulated the incarnation of the Dragon Reborn to kill his family and utterly destroy himself and in doing so, Shaitan poisoned Saidar so that if a male pulled on the Power, the male would go mad.

Thus, it was that the Dragon was reborn as Rand Al'Thor and purified Saidar and built the Black Tower, raised an army of males who could touch Saidin and with the White Towers help, had waged war against the Forsaken (who were thirteen of the greatest men and women seduced by the Dark One to his side) and utterly slaughtered them and was able to defeat Shaitan in an utterly climatic battle that changed the landscape.

Thus the battle was won but not the true Final Battle for the Dark One wasn't flesh but spirit. But the Wheel turns and ages pass into legend and myth and vanish into dust. The Towers, built hundreds of miles apart now stand side by side, restored and hidden by four mages who built a grand castle turned school waiting for the Amerylin Seat and the Tamerylin Seat to appear, hand in hand as one to protect the magical world.

But now many eons later, a mad man has delved into the blackest of black magic and called like minded people to his side and waged war against those of so called lesser blood. Thus war has raged back and forth between the masked forces of the Dark Lord Voldemort and the forces of light lead by Albus Dumbledore.

But what no mortal knows is that slumbering deep within twenty four different people lies the knowledge and power of the lost age and thus the board is set for the true Final Battle and all but Seats themselves have been reincarnated and they await the day the Dragon shall be Reborn for upon that day, the ancient and lost knowledge and power shall spring up and the battle shall begin.

High in the north tower of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a woman named Sybil Trelawney, the great granddaughter of famed Seer Cassandra Trelawney waits in her rooms surrounded by lit candles and incense.

What she waits for, even she doesn't know but she knows deep within that what's going to happen will take her literal breath away because, it was almost nine months ago on a chilly Samhain day, she spoke the words that brought hope to a beleagured nation.

Oh, everyone thinks seers don't remember their spoken prophecies but they do. Its part of their gift going back even farther than the fabled Oracles of Delphi to the lost age. According to the fragments of knowledge left behind, Sybil knew that her Seer gift was in fact the watered down gift of Foretelling from that lost also knew that this prophecy would put a target on the backs of two fledgling families. She remembered the words as if it was yesterday.

'The One with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches...Born to those that have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...And the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not...And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives...The One with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...'

Now nearly nine months on from that fateful day, she sat awaiting silently watching as the clock ticked closer to midnight and as the clock chimed midnight, the woman's body froze and her eyes glazed over and her mouth opened and into the room she uttered, "HE COMES! HE COMES! What was unfinished in the lost age, shall be finished in this...Thus the cycle continues, Light versus Shadow...Power bound until he comes to the truth. For on the day, he rises, the Towers shall return. White as snow for the fair...Black as night for the strong.

Those who wear white shall be a shield, those of night shall be a sword, bound to the Seats for life against the Shadow, for when the veil thins, the Dragon shall Awaken.

For he comes from a forest king and his burning flower. Twenty six shall folow, thirteen for light and thirteen for the shadow. The Towers shall come hand in hand, spliting those who enter the hallowed hall lest the world fall to shadow and ash."

Sybil Trelawney fell forward with a smile on her relaxed face staring unsighted at the clock as it chimed midnight and in a hidden hospital in the heart of London, a black haired baby screamed out, crying as he was wrapped in a blue blanket and handed to his mother.

But what no one noticed was that the infants eyes flashed from emerald green to a dark brown color before switching back to emerald. The infant was soon held by his father and thus was named Harry James Potter.

For he was once Rand Al'Thor, the Tamerylin Seat of the Black Tower, and he was the Dragon Reborn!

As Harry was being born, far away across the country in a small hamlet there was an odd house reminiscent of a chess piece. Inside lived a blond haired and heavily pregnant woman with her husband who was the editor of a magazine and an avid magizoologist.

The woman's name was Selena and as she rose to her feet she felt a shift in the wind and reached for her swollen stomach and said, "The Dragon is reborn, Mother. Soon, you will be too and together the Shadow shall fall."

Deep in the bowels of the earth under London, squeezed under the Underground and unfelt by the non magical residents of London, lies the Ministry of Magic. Although it should rightly be Ministry for Magic but the magicals of Britain are egotisical and corrupt to a fault thinking of only themselves.

Further still lies the hidden Department of Mysteries and inside the Department lies the Hall of Prophecy. Upon a shelf deep in the room, a glowing glass ball suddenly crumbled to dust, leaving nothing but a sliver of parchment and glass dust on the spot where the orb was.

For what no magical knew was that Foretellings always trumped prophecy and worse still Foretellings were never written down. It was always remembered by word of mouth.

Thus the future was in the hands of fate and now fully able to work unhindered by mortal hands as it worked its way through a new family of three to bring down a madman.
