Three days have passed since Tomoe Meguri tried to bring me to the StuCo room. Every day since then, I've avoided going near them. And thanks to the instinct I got due to one of my wishes, I sensed when they tried to sneak behind me. They are far more persistent than I thought. I noticed, though, that not once did Rias even try to approach me herself. It goes to show that she wasn't even apologetic for what she did. But I already anticipated that.
Anyway, it's Saturday now, so I'm training with Raynare. And let me tell you, she is strong, but she can only create a light spear. That's right, singular—just one light spear. When I say she is strong, I mean physically. When it comes to magic, she isn't all that good. Throwing light spears isn't enough when you're fighting strong opponents. Thankfully for me, a part of one of my wishes comes with the experience of Dr Strange, meaning I have his knowledge of Mystic Arts and his combat experience.
"Come on, Raynare. You need to be creative when using your magic. Throwing light spears isn't enough to go against more powerful foes. How about gathering the light energy onto your palms and compress it? That way, when you fire the light energy, it would be a beam of light," I told her. This got her thinking, and she wanted to test it out.
When Raynare tested the ability, it was a success, though it had drawbacks. The time for her to gather enough light energy to fire as a beam is twenty seconds. That's not good when you're fighting for your life. Twenty seconds is too long. But she told me that she might be able to perform it in less than a second with practice.
Now, that's good, but still not great. With that in mind, I thought, why not create a magic barrier to protect herself while casting the Light Beam? That way, she is protected while it charges.
After a few hours in the Mirror Dimension, they finally left. For the first time in Raynare's life, she was able to train without holding back. She was surprised at how good I was at magic. But she was confused at the system of magic I use as most magicians use the system Merlin Ambrosia created, which is a copy of the Devil magic. When she saw mine, it was nothing like it. The foundation was different, and it had nothing to do with any of the magic systems that she knew.
"So, you're telling me that you don't need magic reserve? That's incredible!" Raynare said. She was amazed that I didn't need an innate magic reserve to use the Mystic Arts.
"Indeed, I don't need magic reserve, but tapping into Extra-Dimensional energy is exhausting, hence why I have to train my stamina and endurance. And also, I do have mana. I just don't use it at the moment. Maybe someday, I'll show you what I can do without the use of Mystic Arts," I told her.
"I would love to see that. I mean, the way you used those swords you've conjured, it was elegant and noble. It reminded me of a knight, but more than a knight. Like the King of Knights!" Raynare said. I just laughed at that. Right the King of Knights.
"Well, now that we've done our training. What would you like to do? We can go to the movies, shopping, or go to the arcade," I told her. But she wasn't interested in that.
"No. How about we take a 'shower'. I'd like to feel refreshed before we eat dinner with your parents," Raynare said.
"I still can't believe my mom. She just decided to let you stay with us. I mean, it's great that I can wake up with you every day, but what my mom did isn't normal, right?" I asked.
"No, it isn't. Normal people would probably be weirded out and think she was crazy, but I'm not a normal person. Hence, why we are in the situation we are, besides, like you, I'm enjoying our current arrangement," Raynare said.
After talking, we took our 'shower' and had dinner. When it was time for bed, we got to it right away because we will be hunting Stray Devils tomorrow. And hopefully, we don't meet Rias or Sona and their Peerage.
I knew I jinxed myself. Because now, I'm in the same abandoned building as a Stray Devil and Rias and her Peerage. Damn! I can't believe I forgot that she would be here. And That I was too slow to enter the Mirror Dimension to keep Raynare and I away from their view. Well, it's pointless now. Might as well just watch them eliminate the Stray Devil.
I saw the Stray Devil fire lasers out of her tits. The damn thing was able to melt through concrete with ease. I then saw Kiba move quickly towards his target and cut off her arms. Next, I saw the school mascot Koneko get bitten by the stray, but it was pointless as Koneko was able to keep her mouth open. She then smashed the teeth of the stray, picked her up and tossed her on the other side of the room.
While the stray devil was down, the group of Rias were just staring at it rather than eliminating it right away. And that was a mistake because the arms that Kiba cut off could move even while detached from the main body. The arm attacked Rias and brought her down. When Akeno saw this, she struck the stray devil with her lightning, but rather than finishing it off in one swift move. She decided to play with it, even knowing what it did to her King. I only had one word for what I saw.
"Pathetic," I said loudly. They did not like that. They all looked at me with anger in their eyes, partly because of what I said and partly because of what I did to Rias a few days ago.
"You think you can do better? Because all I saw was you doing nothing," Kiba said.
"With a large group like yours, I expected to do nothing. But if you think you needed help even after you've outnumbered one stray, then you are pathetic. I would understand if the stray was a powerful one, but that wasn't the case," I told them. They then got angrier. But they didn't say anything. As for Rias, it was another story. She knew just how strong I was, even if it was only my physical prowess. I then heard her tell her Peerage that they were leaving.
Raynare and I decided to continue our patrol. That's when I spotted a certain psychotic priest and a nun. It was Freed Sellzen and Asia Argento. Freed was armed with a light sword and a gun while Asia was just following behind him. I saw that they were heading into a house. The same place that the Issei from the show met Freed. It was then I knew what the fucker was planning. So, right before he entered the house, I was able to drag him and Asia into the mirror dimension without him realising.
Raynare and I then followed him into the house. When we saw Freed, he was angry. He was shooting the people in the house, but the bullets were going through the body without causing damage. Not far from Freed was Asia, she was horrified that Freed just shot the people in the house without any warning, but she was relieved when the bullets just passed through the people's bodies.
"Why aren't they dying?! Die, die, die, die, die, die!" Frees shouted while continuously firing his gun.
"That won't work! As long as you're in this dimension, you won't be able to harm anyone," I said. He looked at Raynare and me with burning rage in his heart. But more so towards Raynare.
"You're that bitch Fallen Angel that wouldn't go along with the plan! I see now that you're mingling with that turd!" Freed shouted.
"If anyone is a turd, it is you Freed. You may pretend that you kill people for the church because they are a heretic, but the truth is, you've been miscommunicated from the church a long time ago for your psychotic behaviour. No, you kill because you find enjoyment from people's suffering, and for that, you won't be getting out of here alive," I told Freed.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! You think you can stop me! With what? You're nothing but a turd!" Freed mocked.
Rather than speaking with this maniac, I made an Eldritch Whip and aimed it at his neck. Once it latched on, I pulled it and made him fly towards me, then release the Eldritch Whip, but he was still flying towards me. Typically, when this happens, people would kick the person flying towards them in the face, chest or stomach, but not me. I kicked Freed in the neck, which broke upon impact.
Asia was staring at me with a shocked expression because I just killed someone in front of her. Que Raynare, she went towards Asia and explained everything that was going on, including why she was sent here to Kuoh. Asia was horrified when she found out that she was going to be killed because of the powers that God gave her. And since she didn't have anywhere to go, they brought her back to Issei's parents' house.
