On Saturday, I picked Sona up in front of the school gate. From there, we started walking around town while talking about our lives. I told her stories of my childhood. She told me stories about hers. We had a couple of laughs about the crazy things in our life. Like that time, I thought Irina was a guy, or how her sister Serafall would wear magical girl outfits everywhere. After walking around for a while, we passed an arcade, and Sona became curious. Apparently, she has never been to one. So, I asked her if she wanted to go in and try some of the games. Oh, boy! Let me tell you. She isn't good at games. But, she was good when it came to the claw machine. Not once did she drop any of the plushies she was aiming for, and no magic was being used. I was impressed.
After that, we both went to a restaurant to rest. We ordered some food, and I offered to pay. I remembered that I could conjure diamonds and other precious jewels and sell them for money. That's what was paying for the date. You would think that because of Sona's small frame that she isn't a heavy eater, that's not true. She ordered three large cheeseburger meals and two parfaits for dessert. Not bad, I like a girl who isn't afraid to eat as if she is enjoying the food.
Outside the window of the restaurant that we were in was Tsubaki. She has been spying on us since the beginning. Now, I can dismiss Tsubaki, but I can't ignore the person behind her, which happens to be Serafall Leviathan. Damn! I was enjoying the date too. I hope they interrupt us at the end of the date, rather than in the middle.
Through the date, Serafall and Tsubaki didn't come close to us. They were far enough that Sona wasn't able to detect them. Too bad that my senses were far better than Sona's. Although, thanks to my heightened senses, I can prepare in case Serafall decides to attack me.
"So, that's the fiancé of Sona. He feels weird," Serafall said.
"Leviathan-sama!" Tsubaki shouted.
"Shh! Be quiet! We don't want them to see us," Serafall said in a whisper.
"How long have you been there?" Tsubaki asked.
"Since the beginning," Serafall said. Tsubaki was shocked that Serafall was following alongside her, and she didn't even know.
At the end of the date, I brought Sona back to her place. We had a wonderful time and even planned to go on a second date in a week. When Sona entered her apartment and closed the door, I was then grabbed by Serafall. She flew me to the nearby park where it was empty. She then started questioning me.
"What is your intention with Sona?!" Serafall shouted.
"Well, since we are engaged, I thought I'd bring her out on a date to get to know her on a more personal level. I thought that I might as well see if we have a connection. If we do, then great! But if we don't, then I would have looked for a way to break the engagement, especially if Sona isn't happy with it," I said. None of which was a lie.
"Hmm…You don't seem to be lying. So, tell me what you think of So-tan. You seemed to be having fun with her earlier," Serafall said.
"Yeah! I mean, she is a wonderful young woman. Some may not like that she is quite strict, but I find it alluring. But, when she was having fun earlier, it was on a whole other level. That smile of hers, it's special," I said, remembering the things I did with Sona earlier.
"It is, isn't it?" Serafall said with a smile on her face.
"You don't seem surprised to see me. Can I assume that you know who I am?" Serafall added.
"I do. You're Serafall Leviathan. The strongest female Devil. And also, the sister of Sona Sitri," I said.
"Tell me, are you getting close to Sona because of her title as heiress to the Sitri Clan?" Serafall asked.
"Nope! I don't care about such things," I said.
"Hmm…Hmm…Hmm…" Serafall was thinking. She then grabbed me by the collar as hard as she could.
"If you hurt Sona in any way, I will hunt you down! Do you understand?!" Serafall said in an intimidating voice. I then grabbed her arms to pry them off of me. She was shocked that I was able to fight back against her Demonic Strength.
"You don't have to worry about that," I said while pushing her arms away.
"You're strong. I know that Sona has told you this yet, but even if you are now considered as a marriage candidate, you still need to impress our parents, but seeing that you're strong, I don't think they would mind you. The problem that may occur is the fact that you're Human," Serafall said.
"Oh! If that's the case, then that's not a problem. I'm not one hundred per cent Human. Not anymore, anyway," I said.
"What?" Serafall was confused. Then she remembered that she was feeling something weird from me earlier.
"That's what that weird feeling was! If you're not one hundred per cent human, then what are you?" Serafall asked.
"Oh! I'm not going to tell you. You'll have to find that out yourself," I teased.
"Maybe I will! You should expect to see me more often," Serafall said before she started to leave.
"Wait! What?! Don't you have a lot of things to do in the Underworld?! I also don't think that Sona would like that you're around a lot! Damn it. Why did I have to say that!" I shouted as Serafall disappeared from view. Huh? I wonder where Tsubaki was. I remember that she was with Serafall earlier until I was grabbed. Weird. Anyway. It's about time I headed back home.
With Serafall, she was heading back to Sona's apartment. On her way there, she was rubbing her arms on the area that Issei grabbed her. It was starting to bruise. It goes to show just how much stronger Issei became after he received Ophis blessing. When she arrived at Sona's place, she knocked on the door, and Sona answered it and asked her to come in.
"Onee-sama? What are you doing here?" Sona asked.
"Well, I heard from mom that you were engaged. So, I wanted to see what this fiancé of yours is like," Serafall said.
"So, what do you think of Issei?" Sona asked.
"One thing for sure is that he cares about you. I asked him multiple questions, and he didn't lie once. Second, he's strong. Look what he did to my arms," Serafall said while showing her arms. Sona was wide-eyed when she saw the bruise on her sister.
"I knew he was strong, but to be able to do that to you was not something I was expecting," Sona said.
"You don't know the half of it. When my hands were on his collar, and he pried my hands away, I can tell that he wasn't putting much strength to it, but it was enough to overpower me and bruise my arms," Serafall said.
"Why were your hands on his collar in the first place?... Huh! You threatened him, didn't you! Onee-sama! We already talked about this; I can handle things on my own!" Sona shouted.
"I know! I know! I couldn't help myself! I'm sorry!" Serafall said.
"Try not to do it again," Sona said with a sigh.
Back to me, Issei! As soon as I got home, Raynare questioned me about my date. She asked me how it was. Did I enjoy it? Is there a second date? And other such questions. I had nothing to hide, so I answered everything honestly. I even told her about Satan Leviathan.
After all the questioning, Raynare was jealous, just like she said she would be when I told her about my engagement. I asked her how I could show my feelings for her, and she whispered something in my ear. We didn't sleep that night.
