After I killed Kokabiel, I headed to the area the others were watching me. Xenovia and Irina looked at me because I called my sword Excalibur and destroyed four Excalibur fragments. I guess the fragment couldn't withstand the power of my sword. Not even dust was left behind. Well, that sucks since the Excalibur fragments will never be fused to be True Excalibur.
"T-That sword…Is it really Excalibur?" Irina asked. She was eyeing the sword.
"Yes, it is, but it isn't the same as 'True Excalibur' that was forged through the means of magic and alchemy by those that have reached the territory of God," I said. I then showed them the sword, and they noticed the writing on it but couldn't understand it.
"What language is that? I've never seen it before," Xenovia said. She inspected the sword without touching it.
"I know that language, but it hasn't been around for a long time. It's the language of the Faeries," Raynare said. She was confused why my Excalibur had the language of the Faeries because they didn't put their language in anything that they didn't make.
"Can I ask? Why does it have the language of the Faeries?" Raynare added.
"That's because they forged my Excalibur," I replied without giving anymore. I returned Excalibur to Avalon.
"Let's head out of here," I added. I then made a portal out of the Mirror Dimension.
The moment we left the Mirror Dimension, we were met with two people. One of them is a tall man appearing to be in his twenties with an average build, black hair, golden bangs and black goatee. He also possesses twelve jet-black feathered wings that grow out from his back. This was Azazel. The second person was a young man with light silver hair and hazel eyes. He's wearing a dark green V-neck shirt with a high-collared black leather jacket and has big boobs…Wait! What?! That's not a young man! That's a young woman! What the hell?! At least now I know that this world is different from the show. Vali is a freaking girl. What's her name gonna be? Valeria?
"Azazel-sama! What are you doing?!" Raynare said.
"Ha-ha! About that…" Azazel said, then he explained.
-Before Kokabiel was sent to the Mirror Dimension-
Azazel was near Kuoh Academy. It was then that he saw a burst of light hit the sky. It was the spell that Valper was using to fuse the Excalibur fragments. Azazel knew that something was wrong and that the Fallen Angel he has been searching for might have been responsible for the current situation. Azazel then called for the wielder of the Divine Dividing. He couldn't act himself as his presence could be a sign of invasion. Thus, the need for another person.
But when the wielder of the Divine Dividing arrived, the light disappeared, along with the energy signatures of everyone in Kuoh Academy. This made him think of the worst. He no longer cared if the people of Kuoh senses his presence since the disappearance of the two heiresses could spark a war anyway. He bolted towards Kuoh Academy as fast as he could. The young woman that he called over followed him.
When the two of them arrived, there wasn't a sign of a fight. Azazel analysed the entire academy, but he couldn't trace any form of magic that may have caused the disappearance of the two heiresses.
After an hour of searching for clues, Azazel gave up and was ready to leave along with the young woman. The two of them flew to the sky, and it was then that a portal opened, and Issei and the others came out of the Mirror Dimension.
-Back to present-
"Well, that's what happened. When you all disappeared, I was thinking of the worst-case scenario. Thankfully, that's not the case. So, what happened?" Azazel said.
"What happened? That psycho Kokabiel happened! That man wanted to restart the Great War! He wanted to use Rias and Sona as bait to lure Sirzechs or Serafall so that he can kill them!" Raynare shouted.
"So, where is Kokabiel?" Azazel asked.
"Dead! And I'm glad for it," Raynare replied. She didn't like Kokabiel at all.
"Ha-ha-ha! Your hate for Kokabiel runs deep," Azazel said. He may have been laughing, but he was saddened that another Fallen Angel life was gone.
"May I ask what you, the Governor-General, is doing here in Kuoh, the territory of the Devils," Rias asked.
"Mha-mha-mha… I'm not here for a fight. I was here looking for the wielder of the Boosted Gear. A while back, I felt the awakening of the Red Dragon Emperor/Empress, but the signature suddenly disappeared. Then a few days later it came back, then it disappeared again. It caught my curiosity as to who or how someone can hide the power of the Red Dragon Emperor/Empress," Azazel said. Even now, Azazel could not detect the presence of Ddraig. Not even Albion could. Rias was going to say something to Azazel, but she was beaten to it by Xenovia.
"If you're the Governor-General of the Fallen Angels, then you must know…Is it true that God is dead?" Xenovia asked. Irina and Asia also wanted answers. They didn't believe what Kokabiel said, but they weren't sure if he was lying or not.
"Hmm…Where did you hear that from?" Azazel asked.
"Kokabiel said it during Issei's fight against him," Xenovia answered.
"What he said is true. But it is best if you ask Michael about it since you probably trust him more than you do me. Plus, he is incapable of lying unless he wants to fall," Azazel. Irina, Xenovia and Asia were questioning their belief in God.
"Azazel-sama? If you're here, then, why did you bring her here?" Raynare asked while pointing at the girl beside Azazel.
"I was planning to send her to retrieve Kokabiel since my presence here in Kuoh could cause some issues, but after you and the other suddenly disappeared, I didn't care about that anymore and came here personally. To my surprise, there was nothing here until you all came out of the portal," Azazel said.
"Who is she?" Sona asked.
"She is my foster daughter and also the wielder of the Divine Dividing," Azazel asked.
"Let me guess, her name is Valeria," I said. Raynare and Azazel looked at me. So did the White Dragon Empress.
"Uhm…Ise. How did you know that?" Raynare said. I then facepalmed.
"Please don't tell me you gave her the nickname Vali," I said.
"This is getting weird…How do you know my name? Or my nickname? I'm sure I've never seen you before," Valeria said. Dang it! Really. Hah…Whatever.
"Forget I said anything," I said.
"Hell no! From the looks of it, you've been stalking me!" Valeria said.
"What?! Are you insane?! I spend most of my days with Raynare and Asia! I don't have time to stalk you, and I don't even know where to find you!" I said.
"IF that's true, then how do you know my name and the nickname my close friends call me? How do you explain that?!" Valeria said.
"Ahhhh…" I couldn't say anything.
"You know what?! I don't have to explain myself to you!" I said. Valeria and I were glaring at each other. Hard.
"Anyway, it looks like everything is okay here. Valeria and I will be taking our leave," Azazel said. The duo flew into the night sky and disappeared within seconds.
After that, we all head home to have a nice rest. When we got home, Xenovia started questioning me. She saw that I didn't give any reaction to the news of God's death.
"Tell me, Hyoudou Issei, did you already know about God's death?" Xenovia asked. Irina and Asia were waiting for an answer.
"Yup, I've known for a while now. I told Raynare about it when we met Asia," I said. Raynare did a spit take since I brought her into the conversation.
"Ise! Don't bring me into this!" Raynare shouted.
"So, it is true then. If that's the case, what is the point of our devotion? What is the point of all the teaching that we preach? Was everything a lie?" Irina said. She was starting to spiral. She was more devoted than Xenovia, hence why the news is affecting her a lot more.
"Irina! Calm down. God may be dead, but that doesn't mean that his teaching is wrong. Nor are the records of him a lie. Besides, even in death, doesn't his name give people hope? That's what's important," I said. Irina was in tears. What I said calmed her down a bit, but not by much.
Irina didn't stop crying a few hours later. Raynare and Asia decided to let me stay by Irina's side. Xenovia, on the other hand, went to her room. As for me, I continued to comfort Irina until she fell asleep. I may not know how it feels to have something you believe in be broken down, like what happened to Irina, but I would help her get through it.
