I was in the Mirror Dimension. What I was about to do was something stupid. I plan to integrate with the crystal of the Divine Dividing. I know that it was possible since the Issei from the show could achieve it, but even then, it was a show. I took out the light blue orb and activated my Boosted Gear.
'Partner, are you sure you want to do this? You are plenty strong now, and you don't have to do something this dangerous,' Ddraig said. He was worried about me since the Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing can be said to be the opposite of one another. But even so, two opposites can be brought to harmony, just like Yin and Yang.
"I'm sure, Ddraig. Besides, I already told you before that there are worlds out there that have beings more powerful than here on Earth," I said.
'I still have a hard time believing that. I can trust in the existence of other worlds, but to be stronger than the True Dragon, that's another thing. I'll believe it when I see it,' Ddraig said.
"Believe me, Ddraig. It's best if we don't ever encounter them," I said. I know what the people of ExE is capable of. They aren't someone I want to meet right now.
I continued what I was doing earlier. I started absorbing the power of the Divine Dividing. I was feeling it all over my body, the pain that is. It hurts. It felt like my body was being ripped apart from the inside. The process took over an hour for me to absorb. Symbols appeared on my gauntlets. It was light blue and quite prominent since my gauntlets were red.
"What the hell?! Why did it take so long to absorb?! I thought that it would only take a maximum of five minutes," I shouted due to the pain I was feeling.
'What made you think it wouldn't take long? You have to remember that Albion and I were powerful enough to cause all the faction leaders to band together to defeat. Absorbing our power isn't that simple,' Ddraig said. It made sense.
"That makes sense. I mean to be able to absorb such power wouldn't be simple. I don't know. I just thought that I would be able to do it quickly," I said. Damn it! Sometimes I still forget that this is no longer a show.
After absorbing Albion's power, I left the Mirror Dimension. I was spending the day with everyone in the house. Xenovia and Irina discussed something to do with me, but I ignored it. Grayfia and Asia were in the kitchen with my mother making lunch for everyone. Raynare was with Ophis, she was trying to feed the Infinite Dragon God, but it was an utter failure as Ophis wouldn't allow anyone to feed her but me. As for dad and I, we made plans for the restaurant that my parents wanted to open.
"Issei. What do you think the name of the restaurant should be?" Dad asked. I thought for a minute, but I couldn't think of anything. I kept thinking until I remembered the name of the café on the show, it was called Café CxC, so why not name the restaurant Diner DxD.
"What do you think of the name Diner DxD?" I asked. My dad was thinking over the name, but in the end, he liked it.
"Not a bad name. Maybe we can even put a café next to the restaurant, and call it Café CxC," Dad said. I found that funny. I don't remember who opened Café CxC in the LN, but I'm sorry for that person since now, it will belong to my family.
After school the following morning, I laughed hard because Rias now has to deal with Azazel. While I was laughing, Sona told me that she wanted to meet speak with me. I followed her to the StuCo room, and she asked everyone to leave the room for a moment.
"So? What did you want to tell me?" I asked.
"During the upcoming break, my Peerage and I are heading to the Underworld. I thought I would invite you to meet with my parents?" Sona said with a blush. Meeting with parents even in the Underworld is a big deal and a sign of something serious.
"Are you sure about this? I don't mind coming to the Underworld with you but are you going to introduce me to your parents as your fiancé?" I asked.
"I am. I would like them to meet you and accept you as not just a candidate but as my official fiancé". Sona said.
"That's a big step…Alright, I'll come with you to the Underworld," I said. I know that her parents may not like me since I am considered 'Human'. I know that Sona wouldn't care if I'm Human, but her parents might.
"Thank you for doing this," Sona said.
"Hey, I am your fiancé. Something like this isn't that hard to do. By the way, my mom has been asking me to ask you to come over. When do you have free time?" I asked.
"I have free time tomorrow. Will that work?" Sona said.
"That'll do," I said.
'By the way, partner. You haven't told this Devil that you are now in a relationship with that Grayfia girl. Are you ever going to tell her?' Ddraig asked.
'Of course, I'm going to tell her. That's one of the reasons I wanted her to come over to the house. Although my mom has been asking me to invite Sona, I also wanted to invite her to explain my current relationships,' I said.
After meeting with Sona, I made my way home since it was already the end of the day. Once I got home, I was greeted by Asia and Raynare that arrived before me since I told them that I was meeting with Sona. Grayfia also greeted me and asked if I wanted to take a bath or if we could go to the bedroom and have fun.
Raynare was angry, but not at Grayfia, but because she didn't think of the line herself. She told herself that she would use that line in the future. A few hours later, in bed. Raynare and I were talking.
"Issei. Can I ask you a question?" Raynare asked.
"Sure," I said.
"What are your plans for the future? I know that you don't have a grand ambition like other people with power, but I want to know if you do have a plan," Raynare asked.
"For the future, huh? Hmm…I don't have much of a plan. I just want to spend my life surrounded by the people I love. Whether it's my parents, you, Asia, Grayfia, and the others that I may love in my life. I don't want any more than that for my future. But I also know that people of power can change the world. If that's the case, then I'll try and change the world for the better, but it won't be my main goal, nor will it be my focus," I said.
As much as I want the world to be better, I don't want that as my main goal. In my previous life, I didn't have much of a life, and if my main goal is to protect the world, then in this life, I probably won't have much of a life again as protecting the world isn't that simple.
