12. Open The Dead Zone!

Chapter 12 – Open The Dead Zone

Goku continued his fight when her heard his wife's voice

'GOKU! GOKU!' She called out in his mind

'Chichi! You okay?' He asked as he destroyed 2 more demons

'Now! Tell Roshi and Shifu Do it now! OPEN THE DEAD ZONE!' She instructed

'ROSHI SHIFU! DO IT NOW!' Goku yelled to the two old masters as they nodded

'Tien! Krillen! Cover us!' Roshi ordered as Tien and Krillen stood in front of them to stop any demons getting to them!

'Ready?' Shifu asked

'Yes, Let us begin!' Roshi said as they concentrated hard, they energy flowing around them, it was working

….

Shing Ling began climbing up the side of the wall to get back up on the surface to destroy chichi, suddenly a huge wind began to blow her way as she got confused

'Wha…. what is this!?' Shing ling asked and turned around and looked down into the cavern and saw a massive black void emerging in the floor of her lair!

'That… Is the dead zone' Chichi answered

The Dead zone was opening!

'The dead zone?!' Shing asked

'Yes… and that is where you're going!' Chichi smirked as Shing Ling scoffed

'I would like to see you try and make me'

'Oh trust me, I will' Chichi responded and launched a punch to her face knocking her back, Shing Quickly rose to her feet quickly and looked at Chi dead in the eye, the fire roamed around the underworld and the two of them stood on a fiery battle ground. Chichi looked over at Tai who gave her a confident nod.

'You got this Chichi' he said confidently and continued his fight on the large demon as Chi turned her attention to Shing, Time for a fight, and by the end of it, Chichi promised herself she will come out on top. Shing Ling and ChiChi squared off, arms raised in a defensive position. For a moment, there was complete silence as they were content to stare at each other. Then with a yell, Shing Ling ran forward and kicked a leg out at ChiChi, who ducked and countered with a sweep of her leg. But Shing was anticipating this and flipped backward, then raised her arms once more. She motioned for ChiChi to come forward. With a grin, ChiChi came barrelling at her. Shing Ling saw a punch coming and prepared for it, but too late realized it was a fake and the real punch was coming in from the left. She cursed herself for forgetting that ChiChi was ambidextrous. Her head snapped back and she fell backwards, but quickly rolled and sprang back up again. Again the punches came, but this time Shing Ling was prepared for it. She sidestepped a right hook and grabbed ChiChi's outstretched arm before she could recoil. She twisted the arm and then used her leg to trip ChiChi to the ground. ChiChi fell and cursed, then hopped back on her feet. The two prepared to Fight again Until Chichi Got an idea, she quickly turned at Tai who was Busy fighting a large demon like monster and smirked. To buy some time she knocked Shing Ling back a distance

'TAI!' She called out as he turned at her

'What?' He answered still fighting

'Move the fight over here! And when I say now, Follow my technique!'

'Which technique?!'

'You'll know when I start!' She answered and then was suddenly tackled down by Shing Again. Tai Looked at the large demon and got ready

'Come on big guy! Come over here! This way come on!' Tai teased the Demon who began to move after him, both getting closer to the two ladies fighting. Shing Ling punched Chichi hard making her lip Bleed as Chichi turned to look at the dead zone, It was getting bigger, she could feel the suction of the portal, if Shing needed to get into the portal, it needed to be now! Shing squared her off then Without warning, the two sprang at each other. Fire met fire and vice versa, the result being a mixture of flames as and smoke that floated upward as the two fought. Suddenly their opposing forces knocked the both of them to the ground. They both stood up at the same time. ChiChi extended a fiery arm and two fireballs formed out of her hand; she hurled them at Shing Ling Immediately a wall of dark demons rose up and engulfed the hot orbs. But While the flowing demons were up, ChiChi had shifted into a column of fire and soared upwards and to the back of Shing Ling, reforming into the fiery Being behind her. When the wall of demons disappeared, ChiChi sent two blasts of fire at her legs, causing her to topple over.

On the ground, Shing ling looked up to see ChiChi standing over her, a fireball in each hand. Shing merely waved up at her. ChiChi stopped and wondered what she had up her sleeve. Little did she know that Shing Ling had summoned a demon to take chichi out from behind while she wasn't looking or even noticing. ChiChi saw the shadow too late and a shrill shriek came from her being as the demon grabbed her from behind and wrapped an arm around her throat and began to choke her out. A bubbly laugh erupted from Shing Ling as she rose. She rose back onto her feet and waited. Where ChiChi was being choked out and covered by dark shadows that were the demons. Chichi knew she had to get out of it, she concentrated all of her power, bring the flames into her hands, moving it up into her arms, then moved it around her torso, then all of a sudden her entire body was engulfed in flames burning the demons off her, she had never brought her power to this level before, but now she had unlocked her potential she was able to do so!

Chichi charged at Shing ling in a completely new phase of power and shing couldn't land a hard punch as she would be getting burned , Chichi dodged a punch and pressed her hands on Shing's Face and was beginning to burn her, Shing screamed out in pain and anger and sent a kick to Chichi's gut knocking her back a little, the portal was nearly at it's peak, Tai had brough the demon closer to their battle continuing his fight with the demon! Chichi gave Tai a nod and would give him the signal soon, She charged at Shing Ling and Shing brought up two demons as Chichi dodged one of their punched and sent a kick to the other, she grabbed one of them and threw it at the other and launched a large fireball at the pair and they were quickly disintegrated! While chichi was quickly distracted Shing ling grabbed her from behind and flipped her over her back and had her pinned to the florr and landed punch to her face hard, Chichi felt the blood run out of her nose but she didn't let her stop her, she quickly cannonballed her body and sent a hard kick with both feet to Shing's face and made her fall back, she was getting closer to the portal, the suction was beginning, small rocks began to be pulled into the void as Shing held her own, she was stronger then some stupid portal! Chichi Charged at her and sent a kick to her gut as Shing elbowed her in the chest, the two were doing hand to hand combat as Chichi engulfed a fire ball into her hand and threw it at her as Shing dodged it and rose a demon from the ground, a little bigger than the previous ones as it kicked Chichi back into a side wall making her land on her stomach, she groaned and rose to her feet, before it could launch another assault she threw a fire ball at it destroying it in the process, the dust and flame blocked Shing's Vision from a quick moment as Chichi looked to Tai who was still fighting his demon, She ran towards a side wall and jumped high onto the wall hard and jumped towards the large demon knocking him back onto Shing Ling blocking her path to Chichi, Shing had lost her balance and had fallen over the edge of the the battle gound alongside her demon and was close to falling through the void, but she held on to rocks as a desperate attempt. Now! It was Now or never!

'TAI! NOW!' Chichi yelled as Tai Got in his stance! The portal was wide open, and they needed to act quickly. They could feel themselves being pulled in if they left it too long, they would be!

'KAAAAA….MEEEEEEE' Chichi began as Tai went along, knowing this technique well

'KAAAAA…MEEEEEEE' Tai began too! Shing Ling was gripping onto the rock as She watched her Demon loose his grip and be sucked into the Dead zone! Shing refused to let that be her fate also! She was climbing onto the rocks, unaware of the technique both of her former comrades were developing

'HAAAAA…..MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…' Chichi continued making the energy beam form in her hands

'HAAAAA…..MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…' Tai continued making the energy beam form in his hands too, Shing noticed the two of them and her eyes grew wide

'No…..NO….'

'HAAAAAAAAA!' Chichi released the energy beam and launched it hard

'HAAAAAAAAA!' Tai also released his beam and launched towards Shing Too! Together the energy beam was large and strong and Shing ling lost her grip and began to fall into the dead zone!

'NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!' Shing ling screamed and fell into the dead zone below! Shing ling was finally defeated, Chichi looked down at the void, searching for her, but no sign! She was gone! It worked, the void was now at its full peak! The underworld began to rumble! Chichi and Tai lost their balance as the place was erupting and also fell over the side, they held onto the side rocks tightly not letting go as they would immediately be sucked in! It was getting too strong! If the void stayed open any longer, it would tear the planet apart. Tai held onto the side wall as did Chichi and began to send a message!

'GOKU! GOKU!' Chichi called out

….

The earth was rumbling, and the demons still continued their battle against the warrior, 5 demons jumped on Goku who blasted them off his body and sent and Kaio Ken at them!

'GOKU! GOKU!' Chichi called out in his mind

'Chichi! You okay?!' Goku asked

'Its Done! She's Gone! Tell Roshi and Shifu!' she yelled as Goku smiled

'I'm proud of you chi! We're gonna be okay!' He said cheerfully

'Yeah we will be' she responded, making Goku smile then turned at the two masters

'ROSHI! SHIFU! CLOSE IT! CLOSE IT NOW!' Goku yelled as The two masters nodded

'Let's do this!' Roshi instructed as Shifu nodded

'Begin Closing the dead Zone!' Shifu responded as the concentrated

…..

The underworld was no longer rumbling as much as it was, Chichi and Tai didn't feel like they were being pulled into the void as much as before! Tai began cheering as Chichi chuckled, both of them still holding onto the side wall not letting go until the Void was gone.

'We did It! She's gone!' Tai cheered

'Couldn't have done it without you Tai! Thank you!' Chichi smiled

'No, Thank you, You freed me, and I will forever be grateful'

'We'll wait for the void to disappear and then we'll head back to earth! Can't imagine staying here any longer'

'Preach to that, its getting smaller, just a few more seconds' Tai yelled as the void grew smaller, it was closer and closer to closing It seemed everything was gonna be okay

Until….

'HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA' A cackling laugh was heard below as A dark shiver went through Chichi's soul! She looked down and clocked eyes at a familiar face, climbing back up the wall looking crazy and smiling like a mad woman

'No…' Chichi gasped

'YOU SERIOUSLY THOUGHT I WAS GONNA GO IN SO EASILY!?' Shing ling roared

'Oh Shit!' Tai huffed

'Roshi! Shifu! Open it again!' Chichi called out in a panic

'You can't open it again; you want your world to be ripped apart? Because that's what will happen, so let it close Chichi' Shing ling was climbing up the wall 'Once the void is closed that'll be it!' Shing Ling cackled evilly

'No…..' Chichi sighed sadly

'I WILL RULE OVER THIS WORLD, MY DEMONS WILL WREAK HAVOC OVER THE EARTH AND THEY WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE YOU LOVE' Shing Ling roared up at chichi, who was visualising her friends fighting the demons, slowly they were losing energy and were getting beaten down and her family, they couldn't go on forever like that! More demons were coming, and they were gonna destroy everything! And the only way to destroy them was For Shing Ling to be Gone!

'I can't let them die….' Chichi said to herself 'I am a zodiac Warrior…' she whispered to herself

'YOU FOOL CHICHI! YOU THOUGHT YOU'RE FOOLPROOF PLAN WOULD WORK! BUT IT DIDN'T! THE VOID WILL SOON BE CLOSED AND I WILL BE STANDING TALL AMONG ALL OF YOU! YOU THOUGHT A FEW PUNCHES, KICKS AND A BUNCH OF FIREBALLS WOULD BEAT ME DOWN AND THAT WOULD BE IT! WELL ITS NOT, I WILL KILL BOTH OF YOU FOOLS! I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!' She roared as the Void was closing, a few seconds and it'll be gone, Chichi looked up at Tai who looked defeated, he felt this was the day he would die. No! He wasn't gonna die and neither were her friends and her family!

'Chichi?' Tai looked at his friend in concern, she looked defeated and panicked. She needed to stop her soon! If there was ever a time to put a said plan into action it defiantly had to be now! The Dead zone was seconds away from shutting and if the masters opened them again the planet would be ripped apart from the inside! And shing needed to go into it otherwise her demos would kill all of the people she loved and Shing would destroy everything on earth and call herself superior! No it can't happen!

'You….. You really thought you could send me into the dead zone Chi? You can't do anything, you can never send me anywhere!' Shing ling smirked as Chichi looked up as an idea ran through her mind, That's it!

'You're right….I can't send you there' Chichi said in defeat, she then turned to look at her and smirked 'But I Can Take You There!'

'Wha…..what?' Shing asked as the portal was seconds away from closing

'Goku….' Chichi sent a telepathic message to Goku

'Wha….Chi…..'

'I love you' She said and sadly smiled Tai realized what Chichi was planning to do and panicked

'No Wait Chichi Wait Don't…!' Tai pleaded as Chichi Gave him a sad smile and let go of the rock as she began to get pulled into the Deadzone.

'NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' Tai screamed out as chichi went into the portal, she passed by Shing Ling and pulled her off the rocks and held her tightly as they both went in

'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!' Shing Ling screamed and chichi smiled. She was beaten. She was defeated. Tai looked down at the portal and everything went into slow motion, Shing fell into the portal first and chichi was going in after her, they locked eyes and she gave him a soft smile, as if she was accepting her fate, the prophecy was fulfilled. The evil one was defeated by a warrior pure of heart, so pure that they were prepared to give up their lives to save everything and everyone they hold dear. Chichi knew it and she was okay with that. She gave Tai a small nod and shut her eyes as she fell into the Deadzone and she was gone! Up on earth, the demons stopped fighting and they felt the something was wrong! The dead zone began to grow smaller and smaller until eventually the portal closed! Tai held onto the wall in shock, he looked at the portal and then ….. it was gone!

The demons stopped fighting and looked at each other and suddenly found themselves turning into ash and being blown away into the air as the warriors looked out, it would seem now that Shing was imprisoned, the demons would disintegrate, Tyrian helped Bo to her feet, Shang embraced Su Yao as the others checked on everyone else. Krillen sighed in relief! They had won! Goten and trunks separated from the other and cheered happily. Gohan turned off his super sayien and happily sighed. They had won! Goku…. On the other hand, couldn't shake the feeling something went wrong.

'Their Gone!' Wang Cheered

'I can't believe they did it! I thought something would go wrong' Tyrian joked

'Nice confidence bro' Ren said sarcastically

'No I didn't mean…I mean…..oh shut up' Tyrian huffed as Bo Laughed

'Guys! The point is they did it! Shing is gone!' Bo cheered

'Mom did it! I knew she could do it!' Goten smiled at his brother

'Soon we can go home Goten, and mom will be safe with us again'

'Shing Ling really is gone?' Ling su asked

'yeah, and I'm sure she got the defeat she deserved' Shen replied

'I agree, I have to admit, haven't had a fight like that since Cell's minions' Krillen joked

'Yeah but it was a good fight, even though more and more kept emerging, thought we were goners for a second' Yamcha sighed in relief

'You were worried Yamcha?' Tien grinned

'Whaaaat? Nooo?' Yamcha defended himself

'Yeah right you looked so scared' Trunks laughed

'Wish I had a camera' Krillen added

'You guys suck!' Yamcha huffed in annoyance as the others laughed

'I'm just glad we all made it out alive, especially You' Su Yao hugged her husband who hugged her back

'You too Honey' Shang smiled 'Chichi and Tai pulled it off'

'Yeah! I knew she could do it!' Yang cheered

'She has become a mighty warrior; she has evolved more than I could imagine' Shifu sighed in relief

'I agree, her father would be proud' Roshi nodded in agreement

'Where are they? They haven't returned to the earth yet' Piccolo wondered as Vegeta looked over at Goku who held an odd expression on his face as if he was proud but hurting

'Kakarott, we won didn't we?' Vegeta asked as Goku looked at him

'Yeah we won, Chichi won, It's just….' Goku lost his train of thought as a large light engulfed before them and suddenly Tai appeared before them

'Tai!' Shang called out

'Hey guys' Tai said sadly

'We did it! We won!' Yamcha cheered until something was noticed, where was chichi?

'Tai… Where is Chichi?' Goku asked walking towards Tai

'I…I'm sorry, I couldn't stop her' Tai said

'Wha….what?' Yang asked confused

'Tai what happened?!' Shang asked

'Shing…..She was so strong, she wasn't gonna be sent into the deadzone easily, so Chichi….. she…'

'She went into the deadzone and Took Shing ling with her' Shifu said as the others turned to Shifu

'She what!?' Piccolo gasped

'Mom…..No….' Goten began to cry!

'Chi…' Tyrian lowered his head. Goku began to breath heavily, that was the feeling he was getting! He felt her leave this dimension! She was Gone!

'No….No,…NOOOOOOOOOO!' He screamed into the sky. The silence after's Goku's outburst tells them all they need to know. The mission was completed but at a dire cost. Sadness overtakes everyone. Goku falls to his knees and pounds the floor in grief. Gohan ran to his dad and hugged him tight! As did Goten! The 3 boys hugged tight as they had lost their number one girl.

'Do we know if she suffered?' Ren asked

'No, it was her choice, she knew what she was doing, she saved us all' Tai replied when all of a sudden, Tyrian began to laugh as everyone looked at him confused

'What? Why are you laughing? Is something funny?!' Ling Su asked

'Yeah, you're acting like she's dead. Why are we acting like she's dead? We have the dragonballs, right? As long as we have those, Goku, we can bring her back, isn't that right?' Tyrian said and then grew frustrated at everyone for being sad 'So stop this shit. We're the Zodiac Warriors, get it together.'

'We can't get her back.' Piccolo huffed

'Wha– what?' Yang asked in tears

'It can't be undone. It can't. The deadzone prisons its victims for all eternity, the dragonballs can't bring anyone back from that, its stronger than the magic of a dragon that grants wishes' Tai answered dryly

'I'm sorry. No offense, but you're a very earthly being. Okay? We're talking about dimensional magic. And "can't" seems very definitive don't you think?' Yamcha argued

'Oh Yeah? look, I know that I'm way outside my paygrade here. But she still isn't here, is she?' Tai argued back

'No, that's my point…..'

'It can't– be undone. Or that's at least what Shifu and Roshi told us! Didn't you say that?' Tai asked angrily as Roshi sighed

'I'm sorry, its true. Shenron wouldn't be able to bring anyone back from the deadzone, its beyond his power, I'm sorry' Roshi replied

'Exactly! So Maybe you wanna go take it up with them, okay? OR MAYBE GO GRAB YOUR STUPID DRAGONBALLS, AND YOU GO AND TALK TO THE DRAGON!' Tai anger is quickly replaced with grief and Yang walked over to him to calm him down. Tai broke down as Yang hugged him, she was a little nervous to do it due to Tai's personality, but she knew Chichi would appreciate her comfort. Tai accepted her hug and fell to the floor in tears as did everyone, they comforted each other. Roshi and Shifu lowered their heads in respect as did Piccolo and Vegeta, who rested a hand on his son's shoulder

'She was brave' Piccolo stated

'Yes… It's a shame, she made a fine warrior, and saved many lives' Vegeta nodded slowly

'Who does that remind you of?' Piccolo asked as they turned their attention at the grieving Sayien holding onto his boys

'Mom…..I can't believe it!' Gohan cried

'I want my Mom back!' Goten cried

'She was Brave Goten. Our mom was brave'

'What are we gonna do?' Goten asked as Gohan sighed in defeat

'The only thing we can do buddy, remember her' Gohan answered

'Mom' Goten cried hard

'My wife…My chichi….. Is gone' Goku was on his knees as he held his boys tightly to them, Goku felt his tears emerge and cried with them. His wife, the mother of his kids, the love of his life…..was gone, and she wasn't coming back to them. How could she? She was trapped in the deadzone and not even Shenron's power could bring her back.

Oh Noooo, Chichi is gone. Sorry if I have made anyone cry from that. But she was brave, wouldn't you guys agree? I hope so. I was dead pleased with this chapter and I hope you guys liked it too.
