Chapter 13 – Gone….. But Really Gone?
Chichi Pov:
Just Darkness... That's the first thing I remember. It was dark, and it was cold, and I was scared. There was nothing around, except it seemed as though I was in some sort of confined space, I could touch the ground and I could feel there were walls, I jumped up and I felt as though there was no gravity! I could float then I hit my head on a….. ceiling? How odd? I planted my feet on the ground and I thought I must have been standing in some sort of dark corridor, But there was no light, I could see no end to this corridor, it seemed to just go on and on. I couldn't see a thing, just black all around me. Is this what the dead zone was? Just a long dark tight Corridor? How strange. The walls were tight and all I could do was walk in one direction or turn the opposite way! How did this happen? The last thing I remember was letting go of the rock and falling into the void, I hated to do it but it was the only way, to save my family, my friends and the earth, But that just made me wonder, I went into the void, but where was the reason? And by reason, I mean….
'YOU!' A huge bloodcurdling raw was shouted my way and I turned around to see a beaten-up Shing Ling and she looked pissed!
'Oh crap!' I huffed
'You…Brought me Here! Now you are gonna be Sorry!'
'Its over Shing Ling! We are here in The dead zone! There's nothing you can do to change it!'
'The only thing I plan to change Is the matter of your existence! I will beat you Chichi! And I plan to do it right now!' She smirked getting into a fighting stance, I had to admit I was feeling weak, but no way was I gonna tell her that.
'If a fight is what you want! Then fine! A fight is what you'll get!' I huffed and powered up again
'Don't even think about it Chichi! I'll beat You!'
'Try it!' I smirked
No Pov
'Fine!' Shing huffed as Chichi charges as Shing Ling kicks to the opposite wall and kicks off using the force to kick Chichi. They both knock each other away, but Shing quickly gets back on her feet, while Chichi plants her stance on the ceiling. Shing punches and kicks Chichi several times, although every one of her attacks are blocked. Chi lunges at Shing Ling but misses, and Shing kicks her back. Chichi lunges back and knocks them both into the wall hard. Shing steadies herself on the round as Chichi lands on her two feet in a fighting stance.
'Give it up, Shing Ling.' She yelled
'Never. I can beat you.' Shing yelled back!
'No. You. CAN'T!' Chichi screamed and charges at her and pin her to the ground and throws a punch two her face, Shing Shoves Chichi off and lands a kick to her gut but Chichi manages to kick Shing in the face, resulting in shing to draw blood, Shing looked chi angry, she was dead! Shing Ling takes a swing but Chichi catches it and begins punching Shing. Chi let's go of Shing's arm and hits him with a backfist and a hook. Shing steps back and does a spin hook kick that Chichi ducks under. Chichi also does a spin hook kick and Shing also ducks under that. Shing Ling moves in, grabbing Chichi's head and kneeing her twice in the face. Chi kicks Shing back. Chichi goes to throw a punch to Shing but she quickly dodges the hit. The two ladies stare the other down and continue to exchange more punches and kicks as they both pant for breath but not quitting or bowing down to the other for anything or anyone. Shing kicks Chichi in the face, and Chichi retaliates by grabbing Shing from behind and throwing her into the wall, causing it to receive a dent! Shing gets back up and swing chichi into the wall too and goes to throw a hard punch to her face but chichi quickly dodges causing Shing to Punch the wall instead! Shing yelps in pain form the wall punch as Chichi uses her distraction to her advantage and send a kick to Shing's Gut! Shing falls to the ground and brings chichi down with her to send a kick with both feet to her stomach to send her flying back across the other end of the corridor! Chichi gets up on her feet, panting, bruised and sweating. Shing Got up too and looked at her enemy with pure hatred and frustration.
Chichi Pov
'Still standing' I panted
'Alright, Chichi. Our fight has been fun but... if you could just keel over and die already, that'd be great!
'What's wrong Sweetie...? *pants* Getting tired?' I grinned
'I'm not tired.' She huffed trying to catch her breath 'You're tired! I can do this shit all day!' She huffed
'Yeah…. I know. In fact... I kinda planned on it...'
'The fuck's that supposed to mean? Christ, Woman! Always with the cryptic one-liners...' she huffed as I chuckled
'I don't have to beat you, I just have to waste your time.'
'What are you talking about...?'
'What I'm trying to say, is that you have already lost.' I smirked
'Oh-ho ho, really? And when exactly... did that happen?' She asked
'The moment I sent you into the dead zone. We are gonna be doing this for eternity, hope you're happy'
'I won't need all of eternity to Kill you' Shing roared
'Oh yeah? How bout we test that statement?' I smirked as she charged at me I sent a knee to her gut as she groaned and I punched her hard in the face as she fell to the ground, I began to punch her face repeatedly, everything that she had done to me, I was taking it all out there and then! One punch represented a person who I loved and what I was doing for them, One punch For Goku, One punch for Gohan, One punch for Goten, one punch for Tai. I just couldn't stop and when I thought about my dad, that was when my punches were harder! Her face was battered and bleeding but I couldn't care less! I stopped for a moment and looked at her, she was at my mercy, if I send one more punch she would be dead! I held my position and looked her in the eye. I could see into her. She knew I was stronger! Everything she had fought for, everything she believed was dead! I held my position ready to punch her one more time, she smirked and laughed
'Go On! Hit me! Hit me and kill me! Show me how strong you've become' She was taunting me, she wanted me to hit her again. I wanted to! I really wanted to. But kill her? I couldn't do it. I released my hands from her and relaxed my fist. I got up and looked down on her.
'I don't need to kill you to prove I'm stronger. I know I am'
'No you're….'
'YES! I am! You don't have to be good at fighting to prove you are stronger, true strength is knowing when not to take a life, but when to spare one. I was always a warrior pure of heart, and I proved how pure I was when I gave up my own life to defeat you. Accept your defeat Shing. Everyone else has, the only thing you can do is admit it to yourself.' I said, she looked up at me and sighed hard and looked down
'You're right….. You are stronger than me… You win Chichi, you will always be a better warrior than me'
'Don't think flattery will get you anywhere Shing.' I huffed and turned around and looked into the darkness. I couldn't believe we were now trapped here forever. Suddenly A sharp pain hit me in the back! I felt something pouring down my back, I looked over my shoulder and saw Shing Ling's face, she was smirking, she began to laugh manically, She had concealed a hidden dagger! She had stabbed me in the back! My knees gave out and fell to the floor as she towered over me!
'"Oh I'm the strongest warrior ever" Don't make me laugh, you were too weak to kill me! And I have now killed you! I WIN! I FINALLY WIN!'
'You'll never win…..' I Groaned weakly
'Coming from the dead woman on her knees bleeding to death. Face It Chichi, I beat you! I am the strongest warrior and boy does it feel good!' She grinned as I felt my eyes grow heavy and the horrible sharp pain in my back increased, the dagger was launched deep in my back. Shing laughed out loud as I groaned, I felt my energy drain away from me and the last thoughts that flowed through my mind was my Husband and my children. I wish I could see them one last time. I was set to die, alone here in the dead zone. And all I had for company was the woman who has caused me so much grief. She almost killed my friends, she had my father murdered and was set to destroy my friends and family and now, she had killed me. I would gave anything to see my Boys and Goku again. To be next to them but you can't always have what you want. I lay on the ground and watched as Shing laughed over me, her evil, contempt laugh as my eyes closed and my life slowly fading…. Fading ….fading. Darkness overcame me. I was dead.

There was a bright light hitting my unconscious face, I scrunched my eyes and fluttered my eyes open very slowly, where was I?
'WAKE UP CHILD!' A huge voice roared as I jumped awake and looked around! There were several people around me, all looking at me and wearing white robes and all had…. Halos above them! I got on my feet and looked up and the giant red man sitting at his giant desk looking down at me!
'What the….?' I looked around completely confused
'Let's see here….. Ummm….. Chai….Chan….Chei…Chen….Ahh here we Go! Chichi, Princess of the fire Kingdom, Wife to Son Goku, died in the dead zone….'
'WOAH WOAH WOAH! DIED?! I DIED?!' I gasped and I looked over my head and there was a Halo! What the hell?!
'Yes, you died in the dead zone. From a stab wound in the back' He said
'But…. I ….You…. I was trapped in the dead zone! Like forever!' I said
'You were trapped. But you died and now you are here, therefore releasing you from that prison' He explained as I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
'So… I'm free?' I gasped
'Well if you count death as freedom then sure' He said
'But what happened to Shing Ling?' I asked
'Well, if she didn't die, than she will remain trapped'

In the darkness that is the dead zone. Shing looked around and was laughing happily, then slowly stopped when she realised chichi's body was gone, she looked around and saw the dark abyss around her and realised she was alone! Chichi was no longer there and she was now going to be in dead zone…..alone….forever.
'no…No…NO…..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! I BEAT HER! YOU CAN'T TRAP ME HERE! I AM THE STRONGEST ZODIAC WARRIOR! RELEASE ME! NOOOOOO! LET ME OUUUUUUUT! RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!' She screamed into the darkness of the dead zone! Forever to remain imprisoned in the dead zone.

Chichi Pov
'I can't believe it!' I gasped
'Well if you move along onto that pathway, then you can begin to enjoy your eternal life in heaven.' He said as I moved along. I walked onto the path and looked around, the place looked so bright and happy I saw many people just sitting relaxing as I looked around. I removed the bun in my hair letting it flow as I looked around. Suddenly a figure began to walk towards me, a small little man with blue skin, wearing black sunglasses and a halo across his head. He stopped in front of me and bowed.
'Ahh you must be chichi, Goku's wife. Its an honour to finally meet you' He greeted as I looked at him confused
'Ummm thank you. Do I know you?' I asked
'hehehe we've never met, but perhaps you've heard of me, my name is King Kai. I am you're husbands' teacher' He greeted as I smiled
'You're king Kai? Wow! An honour to meet you sir.' I bowed
'The pleasure is mine Madam. I know it must be very strange for you to be here, And after everything that has happened I think there is someone here who would like to see you' King Kai smiled
'See me? who?' I asked as he pointed and I gasped
'CHICHI MY SWEETHEART!' A voice called out and my face lit up with joy
'DAD!' I Screamed in joy as I ran over to my dad, A picture of health like he hadn't been ill and my eyes swelled with tears! I could see him and I was happy! I jumped into her arms as he hugged me tight as I did! Never wanting to let go of him.
'My little girl! I am so proud of you!' he chuckled and held me In his arms as I couldn't stop crying
'Daddy! I'm so sorry I couldn't save you I wish I could and I just!...'
'You have nothing to apologise for chichi. I watched you fight Shing Ling down there! I am so proud of you, you have become so much stronger than I anticipated!'
'I'm just so glad I get to see you again daddy!' I smiled as he put me down and I wiped my tears away
'Oh sweetheart you have made us so proud and we are so glad you have brought peace to earth again. We couldn't be any more proud' The Ox king exclaimed as I scrunched my face in confusion.
'We? Who's we?' I asked as The ox king softly smiled and looked in the distance behind me, I turned around and someone was walking towards us, the light of the sun was blocking the figure but I could definitely see they were wearing a long white dress and it was a woman, they came out of the sun's gaze and I could see as clear as day. I looked closely and gasped. A woman stood before me with a gold halo over her head. She resembled me greatly, was as tall as I was and had long dark hair flowing over her shoulders. Tears were falling down her eyes as well as mine were she smiled at me, a huge wide smile exactly like mine. I slowly walked towards the woman and was trying to find the right words to let out.
'M-Mother?' I inquired. The woman nodded smiling trying to fight the tears that were falling but failed greatly. I was lost for words, I stood inches away from her as she reached out her hand and It touched and stroked my cheek.
'My Chi-Chi.' She whispered. My smile grew wider and my tears flowed as she stroked my cheek! I couldn't; believe it! She was here!
'Momma!' I screamed happily hugged my mother tightly. 'Mom, it's really you!'
'Oh, my sweet daughter, I've missed you.' She cried as I pulled back, looking at her lovingly.
'I can't believe you're here! This so unreal!'
'I am so proud of you, I knew you were strong from the moment I brought you into this world and I have never doubted your strength. I am so proud' she cried as I did and I hugged her again. Dad walked over to us and hugged us both in a tight family hug, I felt like a little girl again. I felt so much emotion from the minutes of being in heaven.
'CHICHI!' a voice called out as I turned around and saw a familiar face
'Dende?' I asked
'King yemma got a message to me about you being here. This is great I gotta go tell the others about this. They are gonna want to know you can be revived' He said as I gasped, it only just dawned on me!
'I can be with the boys again?' I smiled
'You bet! They are gonna be made up about this! Get yourself ready I'll go send the message!' he said and ran off as I smiled. I was gonna go home. But then I turned around and looked at my parents, it was strange, but I wasn't ready to leave them yet. something needed to be done before I go back.

Everyone arrived back at the look out, all looked like death. Bulma hadn't been able to stop crying and neither could Goten or Gohan. Goku hadn't said a word since Tai's return and he was no better, neither were the Zodiacs. They were all silent until Piccolo spoke out
'She was brave, bravest of us all' he sighed hard removing his turban.
'Doesn't make a difference, she's still Gone!' Wang huffed
'Oh come on wang' Bo sighed
'What? He's right! She made her choice! Nothing we can say or do is gonna bring her back now!' Tyrian yelled
'She saved our lives! Have respect! That can't have been an easy choice to make but she did it to protect the people she loved!' Krillen yelled
'Yeah and now matter how you want to look at it. She has left broken hearts here! We have lost a friend, those two boys have lost their mother, and that man has lost his wife! You think she was thinking about them when she….' Shen couldn't finish his sentence
'That isn't fair and you know it!' Su Yao said sadly
'I know, I'm sorry'
'She made a choice. And she saved billions from that hell that would have occurred. An impossible choice' Tien sighed
'You can only imagine how much she debated on making a choice like that' Yamcha agreed
'Still left us here though, to pick up the pieces.' Ling su wiped away her tears
'And not even Shenron can bring her back' Roshi sighed as Dende appeared put of nowhere looking cheerful
'Hey Guys! I'm glad you're here! I got some great news to tell you!' He exclaimed
'Not now Dende!' Trunks shook his head
'But it concerns chichi!' he said
'DENDE! MOM IS GONE! SHE FELL INTO THE DEAD ZONE AND WE CAN'T BRING HER BACK! SO NOTHING YOU CAN SAY OR DO IS GONNA HELP!' Goten cried.
'Goten! Chichi is dead!' Dende yelled out as everyone looked at him!
'What?' Tai gasped 'She's not dead, she's trapped in the dead zone! She's alive! But trapped forever'
'No! She'd dead, Shing Ling killed her in the dead zone!' Dende said.
'Dende, what are you talking about!?' Gohan asked.
'Shing Ling killed your mother in the dead zone, you mother died and was transported to the afterlife, that's where she is right now!' He said, Goku who hadn't said a word turned to look at the little namekian and his face lit up.
'She's there? In heaven?' he asked
'Yes Goku. She's there!'
'How is that better?! She's dead! That's not comforting!' Shang huffed
'Shang, I think you fail to understand, Shenron may not have the power to bring someone back from somewhere as dark and powerful as the dead zone, but to revive a person from the dead, that's a whole other matter' Shifu explained as Shang and the others looked up hopefully.
'You mean… Chichi can come back!?' Yang asked
'It looks that way' Shifu nodded as the others cheered! Gohan and Goten hugged eachother tightly, their mother was coming home!
'Dad! this is great! We're gonna see mom again!' Gohan cheered as he hugged his kids!
'Our chichi is coming home boys! I need to see her again!'
'Oh Vegeta isn't this great! My best friend is coming back!' Bulma hugged the sayien prince who also gave a small grin
'I suppose being dead is better than being trapped in an eternal dark void' He said
'But she won't be dead for long' Goten cheered
'In that case, we got Dragon balls to find!' Yamcha yelled
'But where are we gonna find them? There are 7 right? Scattered across the globe?' Ren asked
'I have a radar. Looks like we got some work to do' Bulma grinned.

After a few hours, all 7 dragonballs were gathered as everyone huddled around them as Dende prepared himself to release the mighty Shenron.
'Okay, arise Shenron and grant us our wishes!' Dende yelled as the huge glow lit up the sky and once again, the mighty Shenron was upon them! As everyone looked on, the Zodiac warrior looked on in amazement
'Well that's something you don't see everyday' Tyrian gasped
'I am the eternal dragon. State your wishes and I shall grant it.' Shenron roared.
'Wow! This is so unreal!' Yang gasped
'Well Goku, I guess this is where you ask' Dende stepped aside as Goku cleared his throat!
'Eternal Dragon, our first wish and the only wish I care about is to bring back the woman I love, the woman who sacrificed everything to save her family, her friends and her planet to keep the peace, Shenron please I ask you to Bring Back Son Chichi!' Goku asked as Shenron glowed for a moment then stopped
'I Cannot do this' he roared as the others gasped
'WHAT?!' Gohan yelled
'You wanna explain kid?' Shenron looked to Dende
'Oh yeah I forgot to mention, you still can't bring back someone who's already died before.'
'What!?' Bulma gasped
'Oh yeah, Chichi got killed by Buu remember? So in that sense she's already been revived before! We've all got one chance right, and chichi used hers!' Krillen explained
'OH NO!' Bo gasped
'Don't freak out, Porunga can still bring back people who have died.' Piccolo explained
'Good thinking, Piccolo, we'll just use the remaining wish to go to Namek!' Yamcha cheered
'I'll go get the Ship ready' Bulma smiled
'HEY GUYS! CAN YOU HEAR ME?' A voice called above them as everyone looked around
'What the….?' Su Yao looked around
'Who is that?' Wang asked
'Wait isn't that…..?' Shang gasped
'MOM!?' Gohan and Goten yelled in joy
'CHICHI?!' Goku cheered hearing his wife's voice again!
'Hey guys. I'm in heaven. With King Kai! And my dad! all good up here considering' She called out as the others listened on happily they could here her
'It gonna be okay Chi, We're gonna go to Namek so we can wish you back. So just sit tight Okay?' Tai called out
'Yeah... 'Bout that...' she said slowly
'Mom, what is it?' Gohan asked
'I was just wondering, maybe if you could hold off on bringing me back, just for a short while. There are some things I need to clear up while I'm here' She said
'Chichi, what are you talking about? You wanna stay dead!?' Yang gasped
'Not forever Yang, just a little while'
'Well how long is a while?' Bulma asked
'One year'
'ONE YEAR?!' Everyone yelled as Goku approached
'Chi…..' he said sadly
'Goku…' she replied softly
'Please, don't ask me to be without you for a year'
'Goku, please understand, its just…. Dad is here with me and there is so much I need to say to him before I come back, and…..i met my mom' she called out as Goku lit up a smile
'You did?'
'She's here too and I just want some time. The next time I see them I'll be as old as they are and I just want to be with them for now. Give me a year. I need this' She said softly as Goku smiled back and nodded
'Okay Chi. If that's what you want. We'll wait for you' Goku nodded
'We'll be here waiting' Gohan agreed
'Always' Goten said as Chichi chuckled
'My Boys. I love you very much. Don't forget that' She said
'We love you too mom. Say Hi to Grandpa for us' Gohan answered
'Tell him we love him! See you in one year' Goten said
'Okay, bye for now' Chichi voice faded
'CHICHI WAIT ONE MORE THING!' Goku yelled
'Yes?' She answered
'I love you!' Goku exclaimed as she sighed happily
'And I love you. One year Goku. One year' Her voice faded away as Goku turned to his sons and hugged them tightly
'We got a year boys! One year till we are a family again' Goku smiled happily
'So what do we do in the meantime?' Goten asked
'We better get to Grandpa's kingdom, we gotta clean the place up and take care of things until mom gets back, she'd want us to do that' Gohan said
'I'll help too if that's okay, the least I can do considering' Tai lifted his hand up as did Yang.
'Yeah I want to help too' She smiled softly
'Me too, We can help in anyway we can' Shen smiled
'Well then, we got work to do.' Goku said as they all took off into the sky
…
Back up into the clouds Chichi walked back over to her parents and hugged mother tightly and loosened the bun in her hair
'One year' Chichi sighed
'Then we have time, we have a lot of catching up to do' He mother smiled softly as they began to catch up.
