Lara's pov

The time had finally come for Val-Dez and I to welcome Ky-Dez into the world. Screams aside, I was ecstatic. After 50 agonizing hours of labor, our healthy baby boy had at last arrived, already showing off his powerful lungs. I figured that now I would be happy. A wonderful husband in Val, a wonderful son in Ky, and a wonderful friend in Jor-El. As for Zeta-Rho and Tal, last I heard, they had moved to Kandor, but there had been rules put in place that I maintain no contact with either one of them, apart from that one letter when Tal turns eighteen. So, I could not be sure of their whereabouts. I gently shake my head to clear those thoughts from my mind, focusing on the family I had now. Live in the present. Enjoy my life with my family. Forever.

A YEAR LATER

Turns out I could count forever on one finger. My Val had fallen terminally ill, and not one of our scientists and healers could help him. Jor-El , bless his heart, tried every remedy he could find across all 28 galaxies, never resting and neglecting everyone but his Lan Jor- El in favor of sparing me the same cruel fate he'd been dealt through Raya's death. He also stood with me during the burial proceedings, providing the comfort my own family did not achieve. I again was grateful for this wonderful friend. And slowly in the months following this tragedy, I began to see him in a different light. Friend? Definitely. More than that? In my mind, definitely. But with my track record and our losses... I knew not what was in store for us. I definitely did not envision him returning my feelings, but alas we shared a vision and hope for a better future and world. We shared a heart.

We soon were married, and happier than ever. One night after dinner, he took me in his arms as Lan and Ky played and asked, smile on his own face

"What has got you so happy, Love?"

Grinning even wider, I announced

"I am with child."

Too overcome with emotion to speak, he kissed me, and I melted into his embrace. Sadly, the idea of living the years to come with our children was not going to come to fruition, as something sinister was upon us.

Zeta- Rho's pov

My Tal was now ten years old, but he still asked about birth mother every once and a while. It got old. Fast. Thankfully, the upheld tradition of tense punishment made him give the notion up at last. I had spent the last few months studying a planet in one of the 28 galaxies in the world, with the intent to supplant their race with our own. But first, I needed to send Tal there to start the good work and scope out the area. This galaxy was known as the Milky Way, and its third planet from its star Sol was the destination for his trip. Planet Earth. Sounds weak and meek, they should be easy to conquer. After a while of training, I sent him off, at the age of ten.

Jor-El's pov

After the gestational period was over, Lara and I were graced with a chubby, raven - haired, blue- eyed baby boy. We named him Kal-El. He was our first-born, the celebration of our marriage. But, his arrival was bittersweet, for we could not keep him, Lan or Ky much longer at all. Krypton was doomed, and pods to escape were grossly limited. We were not to accompany them if they were to have a fighting chance. at surviving the journey to planet Earth, the third planet from the star Sol in the Milky Way galaxy. Given we could not accompany them, we left instruction and messages in a crystal that went with their pods. After a final farewell, we sent them off and returned to ashes no sooner than our planet.

A/N

- Sorry I fell off the update train, I am NOT consistent.

- Slowly getting to S&L cannon, expect a time jump

- The in-story explanation will be fuzzy, if present at all, so suspending logic and whatnot, the Well of Stars/ Segara Be-al made it to where despite a year and a few months separate the three babies Lan, Ky and Kal, ages will be adjusted to be the same during the journey and upon landing they will be the same age. Tal will remain 10 years older though.
