Chapter Three:
Kisuke hummed in thought to himself after listening to both Kagome and Shippo's stories, he looked at his daughter now son, and his adopted grandson. "Hopefully we can find a cure for the curse. I assume you will be enrolling in Karakura High and Shippo in Karakura Junior High?" He asked Kagome.
"I'm probably going to enroll us tomorrow," Kagome told him while he reached for his tea. "I can enroll you in Karakura High under the name Kaname Urahara. Making identification for both you and Shippo won't take long at all." Urahara offered, not knowing whether Kagome would say yes or not since he would have his name for his fake identity. "Thank you, that would be very helpful," Kagome said, not looking at him.
"I'm trying to figure out something. Not that I don't want you here." Yoruichi began. 'That's definitely not the case.' She thought as her eyes quickly ran up and down his body. "But why come here to Karakura town? Why not use an illusion to make yourself appear like your old self?" She asked Kagome before glancing at Kisuke, hoping he didn't notice the way she was eyeing his 'son'.
"The main reason is cause it's easier for me to hide my demon features than to change my entire appearance," Kagome admitted sheepishly. "It's getting better, though." He said with a slight smile. "And the other reason?" Tessai asked.
"My mom thought it would be a good idea for Shippo and me to bond with Kisuke while we get our education, although I think she specifically wants me to rebuild my bond with him," Kagome said with a slight shrug as he sat his now empty cup down onto the table. "So, that means you two are going to be living here?" Jinta asked with a slight scowl.
"Hell no, I lived with him once. I'm not doing it again if I don't have too. I found an apartment that Shippo and me both like. We're actually gonna go shopping for it and hopefully, a car that's in my budget when we leave here." Kagome said.
"What's wrong with living with me?" Kisuke asked with a frown, and a slight pout that turned into a full pout when he saw the look, everyone, except for Shippo gave him.
~ Later At The Mall ~
Kagome smiled down at Shippo while they walked towards the mall's food court. Even though they both were carrying tons of bags; they couldn't take everything Kagome had purchased for them and had to have the rest of them shipped to the apartment. In the bags for both clothes Kagome and Shippo.
They had also bought living room furniture such as a black couch, decorative pillows, chairs, tv, tv stand, coffee table, picture frames, mirror, end tables, lamps, and a rug.
Shippo's bedroom furniture such as a bed set, comforter sets, blankets, pillows, mirror, toys, lamps, and picture frames. Kagome's bedroom furniture; a bed set, comforter sets, blankets, pillows, mirror, lamps, and picture frames.
Kitchen appliances; tableware, storage containers, trash can, cookware, bakeware, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, blender, microwave, waffle maker, blender, mixer, knife set, cutting boards, deep fryer, fruit bowl, dish rack, and paper towel holder.
Bathroom supplies; towels, washcloths, hand towels, hand soap, body wash for him, body wash for Shippo, shower curtains, and rug.
Kagome had spent a lot more money than he was hoping and was thinking for once it was a good idea that he had taken Sesshomaru's offer to work for him at his company as an intern.
"What do you want to eat?" He asked Shippo as he looked down at him. He watched with a small smile as Shippo's face scrunched up a little as he began to think about what he wanted to eat, he knew that if his illusion were down his tail would be wagging behind him.
"How about ... McDonald's?" Shippo asked, looking up at Kagome hopefully. "Sure," Kagome told him, he watched as Shippo grin before running towards the mini restaurant.
