A/N: Okay, so here is chapter two. I will be working on this and silence. I will be working on this for the next while though.

Chapter Two

The next six days are almost like a dream. Maybe it's because of what he's surrounded by, or he's still in shock? But even if it is a dream, he doesn't want it to end. For the first time in years, he was happy, and he wanted to savor it. Because deep down he knew it couldn't last.

But in the meantime, he tries to get acquainted with his soon-to-be classmates. Since his own arrival, more students have arrived at school in the last six days. But most of them arrived today, some of them saying that they weren't about to miss the party. "What party?"

"The witch and the fairies always throw a back to school party at the beginning of each semester. And trust me you don't want to miss it either. If you've never partied with a witch, you haven't truly partied." Trent would have laughed if Conner wasn't completely serious.

"So I'm guessing you're going?"

"Yeah. And you should too. Most of the school is going to be there, it'd be a great way to make some friends before classes start tomorrow."

"You're not going to stop unless I say no?"

"Hey man, I was just trying to help you. If you want to spend the next semester of your life with only one friend then-"

"Alright alright. I'll go to the stupid party."

That night, Conner takes him into the woods, the sound of music getting louder the further they walk. The party itself looked to already be in full swing. There was a group of people gathered around a cauldron, throwing various objects into it. Those objects include a smoky purple flower, a black powder, and what looked like vanilla extract. Then some other things that he couldn't clearly see. "Do I even want to ask?"

"No you do not. But believe it or not, that concoction actually tastes pretty good."

"I don't believe you. And I'm surprised you actually know what the word concoction even means."

"Oh very funny. I'm going to get some. Do you want any?"

"I'm good."

"Suit yourself." Conner approaches the cauldron, grabbing himself a cup. Trent shakes his head, just before spotting Kira standing by herself. His feet seem to have a mind of their own as he finds himself approaching the young witch.

"Hey!" He shouts over the music, causing her to turn her head.

"Hey. Do you want something to drink?" She gestures to the table next to her, which had several plastic cups filled to the brim with a variety of different drinks.

"Uh... sure."

"What's your favorite fruit?"

"I don't know… bananas."

She picks up one of the cups, handing it to him. He reluctantly takes a sip, the taste of bananas hitting his tongue. "That's actually pretty good. How did you do that?"

"Witch." She wiggles her fingers in the air.

He chuckles, another sip of his drink. He shakes his head, a feeling that he couldn't quite describe washing over him. "Whoa. What's in this drink?"

"Some fairies made all the drinks, and fairy dust is known for being pretty… potent for lack of a better term when ingested." She sips the last of her own drink, seemingly unaffected by this fairy dust.

"That's one way of putting it." He chuckles. "How are you fine?"

She shrugs her shoulders. "I don't know. My roommate's a fairy, and fairies are just naturally covered in fairy dust. That's why they're always glowing."

She gestures over to the cauldron, which was still surrounded by a group of girls. And they did seem to be glowing, but he'd thought it was the light emitting from the cauldron when he'd first seen them. He also sees Conner talking to one of the girls. "So I guess I'm used to it, plus I've had it before."

Before anything else can be said, someone gasps from behind him. He turns around to see a group of people joining the party. Two girls and three guys. They were dressed in all black, and four of them were pale. While the girl at the front of the group had golden skin.

Conner approaches Trent and Kira, clearly much more intoxicated than the two of them. "Who invited them?"

Conner looks at Kira, who raises her hands. "Hey don't look at me. Witches hate vampires just as much as werewolves."

"I will never understand why the headmaster let them into the school."

What happens next seems to happen in slow motion. The group comes closer to them, one of them bumping into Conner, spilling his drink on his shirt. The group keeps walking wordlessly, but Conner turns around.

"Hey! Are you even going to apologize?"

The one who'd bumped into him, turns around, smirking. "What for?"

He laughs, before turning back around. But Conner isn't done, as he grabs the boy, forcing him around. Before Conner says or does anything else, the boy flashes his fangs, getting in Conner's face. "You wanna fight, wolf boy?"

"Conner stop. This guy isn't worth it." Kira tries to reason. But neither boy was willing to back down just yet.

Fortunately, one of the other vampires pulls the boy back. The boy tries to fight her, but is easily overpowered by the golden skinned girl. "Brandon, let's just go. Let's just go."

The boy finally seems to relent, walking out with the rest of the group. Conner's breathing is heavy, just before collapsing onto the grass.

"Where are we taking him?"

Kira doesn't respond.

"Is he going to be okay?"

She still doesn't respond, instead stopping once they've gotten him inside. They lean him against the wall, as she looks down the hallway. "The coast is clear. Now give me your hand."

She puts her hand out, and he reluctantly takes her hand. Deciding it would be best not to question her, at least for the time being. Kira closes her eyes, saying something under her breath in a foreign language. It sounded like German, but not quite. Once she finishes, they're not in the hallway anymore but inside a room. "Where are we?"

"We're in my dorm room."

"Wow it's very… um, not what I expected your room to look like."

"Oh no this is my roommate's side. My side's in here." She walks over to a door, which leads into another bedroom. There were books strewn all across the room, and her bed wasn't made. She steps over the mess, walking over to a wooden cabinet. She opens it, immediately pulling out a small brown pouch. She rushes back out into the other room, kneeling down next to Conner's still unconscious body. She grabs his arm, rolling up his sleeve to reveal a puncture wound on his forearm.

"Where did that come from?"

"I don't know. But I could smell it on him. Can't you?"

"No." She narrows her eyes, but doesn't say anything else about it.

"Come here." He kneels down next to her, as she spreads the contents of the pouch onto Conner's arm. She grabs Trent's hand, talking under her breath in a foreign language again. But this time it goes on for several minutes longer, the puncture wound on Conner's skin slowly fading away. Kira lets go of them both, swaying back and forth.

"Kira?" She starts to fall, but he catches her in his arms. She shakes her head, looking tired.

"I'm fine. That spell just took a lot out of me. I'll be fine in the morning. I'd be a lot worse if I hadn't channeled you."

"Channelled me?"

"I practice elemental magic, and humans are mostly water. That's about as close to an element as I could get on short notice."

"So you could say I saved you."

"Whatever you want to believe, wolf." They both laugh, and as their laughter dies down he finds his staring into her eyes. One of his hands moves from where it had been positioned on her waist, to her touch her cheek. She leans into his touch, before leaning closer to him. Their noses brush before… Conner groans, and they both pull apart.
