Who Wants to Live Forever?

Prologue

The humidity was oppressive in Florida and there was a part of Kimberly Hart that regretted her decision to come here. Actually, who was she kidding? A large part of her regretted coming here. The weather was a minute concern next to leaving her whole world behind in California.

Kim had met a number of wonderful people while training here. The facilities where she trained were spacious and beautiful. She was advancing well in her gymnastics. And yet, nothing seemed to clear Kim's mood these last few weeks.

It was almost as though something was...off.

Walking back to the apartment she shared with several of her teammates, Kimberly sighed and let her mind wander. It would be the same night as always: shower, dinner, hang out in front of the TV, get ready for bed, then pass out.

No one was walking the sidewalks near Kim's apartment, but she could hear a raucous crowd near one of the bars down the street. Yup, just your standard night.

Kimberly.

She froze.

Kimberly...Kim.

She whirled around at the sound of the voice calling her name. But there was still no one near her.

And Kim knew that voice. She'd recognize it anywhere.

Kim...please. Hurry!

The voice in her head now seemed to echo through the grounds. Kim could sense that his voice was coming from behind her. Tommy's voice.

"Tommy?" she called, voice shaking. "Where are you?"

Panic was settling in. Why on earth would Tommy be asking her for help? She was no longer a Power Ranger…

Come to the docks…

"The...docks? Tommy, what's wrong?" she cried.

Hurry…

His voice was getting softer, distancing from her. Gritting her teeth, Kimberly charged towards the sound of Tommy's voice. Maybe there wasn't much she could do, but she would do whatever she could do to help him.

He was the love of her life. She would never abandon him.
