I wish to start this profile off with a small warning. I write many different kinds of stories- mostly humorous, romantic, and dramatic. Friendship and family are big components; just like angst and dysfunctional relationships. So even though I like to think there's a little something for everyone, be warned that there's a little something for everyone. Even though I have many different fandoms under my belt, I am mostly writing for Naruto at the moment. I may branch out from time to time with a one-shot here and there, but that's an exception, not the norm.

Now, aside from that small bit about what I tend to write, I think this is the moment to give a huge warning about how I write. And that's very slowly. I take a while to update. And I'm very fleeting when it comes to my passions- so there are stories with more than twenty chapters that have been completed to be found. Just like there are stories that aren't even halfway completed and I doubt they'll ever be finished. So be prepared to find stories left on permanent hiatus.

I've got a few series I've written and published as separate one-shots. That works in Ao3 because I can link them all together, even if they're published separately. In a world where Konoha is just a bit different, the members of the Akatsuki all eventually find their way to a home where they are not forced to take part in (too much) villainy.

The Jashinist and the Yamanaka Family Hidan is just about kidnapped by Inoichi Yamanaka- therefore becoming Ino's older brother.
Konoha's Demon Advisor Kakuzu becomes the First Hokage's favored foreigner. No Hokage ever has to face chaos without the wise council of the Taki-native.
Hinata's Pretty Monster Kisame helps Hinata when she's scared. He regrets such a decision for the rest of his life.
The Orphans Tenten agrees (is forced) to become an agent of Hiruko/Seita/Sasori. She learns from an early age how little yet how much a name means.
No Price is Too High (The Demon Advisor's Retribution) With the missing-nin under his thumb (Hidan, Kisame, Sasori), Kakuzu burns more bridges than he cares to admit.

This is How I Met my Soulmate:
A series of one-shots about the first meetings of soulmates that range from tooth-rottingly sweet to absolutely toxic.

Our Little (Great), Unimportant (Life Changing) Meeting Kankuro swears soulmates are the worst thing in the world. Finding his own in the jounin Orochimaru makes him see there's more to soulmates than what Suna's made him believe.
Jashin's Chokehold Jashin had created Hidan specifically for his most loyal follower, Tobirama. Tobirama wasn't supposed to die while Hidan was created, though... so, Tobirama gets brought back to life after Hidan almost dies (even though killing an immortal is impossible).
Toady and Queenie Quite frankly, only a Yamanaka would be able to deal with Jiraiya. Although he could live happy with Inoichi's death glares.
This Hello is Only Goodbye Baki was a weapon, first and foremost. Finding both of his soulmates wasn't supposed to have changed anything.
This Love Might Dai learns, eventually, that being the soulmate of a Hatake can be quite... suffocating.

Unexpected Soulmates:
A series of small one-shots where soulmates find one another by the first words they tell each other. These also all begin with words that start with 'un'.

Understandable Ibiki is too drunk to not say too much on the day he meets his soulmate. Shibi understands.
Unforgettable Kakashi had always thought the first words his soulmates would tell him were rather questionable. Genma and Raidou proved that such an analysis was pretty accurate.
Unbelievable Kotetsu was not prepared to find out that his soulamte was the Clan Head of the Hyuuga Clan.
Undoubtedly No one wanted to be stuck as her soulmate, Anko knew, and that's why many tried to find out the first words her soulmate would tell her to make sure to avoid such a thing. Who would have thought Kurenai would be the one to stumble upon a woman that wanted nothing to do with soulmates?

Junkrat and his Strays:
Overwatch rules clearly stated no animals. Junkrat cares little for rules.

A Cat for a Rat Junkrat finds a cute cat. His animal saving days begin.
Three Pups, a Kookaburra, and a Rat Junkrat manages to find more animals to save.
A Helping Hand and Two New Friends Complications arise. Junkrat finds a sucke-helper to bring into the fold.

For the Love of an Inuzuka:
Kiba's got quite a string of suitors with their eyes on him. He, of course, had no idea until it became a problem.

No Broken Hearts Kiba was heartbroken after Kankuro broke up with him. His stupid friends take him out to have some fun. Apparently, Gaara was in love with him- and lets him know.
Crazy in Love Genma knew it wasn't right to like a kid... but Kiba was grown up enough now to be drinking alcohol and be getting in stupid adult problems. It was just unfortunate he was stuck with Gaara.

Snow Leopard and Excitable Puppy- Soulmates no Matter What:
Tobirama/Kiba is one of my favorite rare pairs. Here's a a whole series about the ups and downs and in-betweens of their love in a universe where Tobirama died without a soulmate, Kiba was born without one, and they find each other because Orochimaru.

Reluctant Soulmate, Meet Adorable Soulmate Tobirama and Kiba met under rather unpleasant circumstances. Tobirama did not want to accept Kiba as his soulmate. Kiba wittled him down eventually. (Chaptered story)
Just my Soul Responding The moments in which Kiba stole Tobirama's food and the moment in which Tobirama fought back. (One-shot)
True Halves of a Complicated Whole No one ever said a relationship was easy- Tobirama and Kiba's life isn't easy even after Tobirama has finally accepted Kiba. (Work-in-progress)
May we Meet in Another Life A darker take on the first story of the series- What if Tobirama had died after he was brought back and finally found a soulmate he believed he would never have? Kiba loses a piece of himself he never knew he had.

Looks: I'm dark skinned and I've got myself a small afro, painted a dull color of red. I'm short for my age, and I have pretty big eyes.

Description: I'm a college student now. And I've had this account for six or seven years now- since 2012. My personality tends to appear in my writing in some manner- be it consciously or subconsciously. I've chilled out over the years, but my hyperactivity is still pretty easy to spot when something really grabs my attention. I've become rather patient and tolerant in my college years, so, compared to my younger years, I've changed quite a bit. And I like to think that my personal evolution can be seen when comparing my older stories with the newer ones.

Well, as you can tell, my name in this place is Varmint, and I'll tell you about what I will write. I'm a pretty unreliably reliable writer when it comes to the stories I want to write. When the plot bunny bites (why haven't we called these 'plot wolves' yet?), it bites. It literally will not leave me alone until I write it. This works pretty well for one-shots because I finish them up (usually) in a day and post them. But this proves to be problematic for multi-chaptered stories.

... I... Uh... I have the bad habit of leaving multi-chaptered stories alone until inspiration strikes again. And if it doesn't, I don't continue writing. Which is the reason why I have so many discontinued stories. I hate it, but it's the truth and I can't get around it.

Although I have large pieces that I have managed to complete, like The Bonds That Hold (A YJ/Abused Wally fic), Bound to the Enemey (A slow burn Itachi/Kiba fic), and Watch Me Burn (A psychopath!Wally fic).

Some of my stories will have slash, because I completely adore some of the slash couples, although I can write up a het fic if I'm asked to or feel like it.

Favorite Characters:

Young Justice: Red Arrow, Superboy, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Green Arrow.

The incessant plot bunny for this fandom is Wally West. Now, I've been on this site for a couple of years now. And Young Justice was the first fandom I ever wrote for. Unfortunately for many that love those stories, I've grown out of my superhero phase. I don't really write much for them unless it's a one-shot. So most of those stories you see down there that haven't been completed? It's highly unlikely they'll ever be finished.

Seven Soldiers of Victory (Old school ones): Vigilante, Crimson Avenger,Green Arrow, Speedy, Wing.

Vigilante. This man won't leave me alone. He comes and goes as he pleases like a true drifter of the prairie. But when he appears, he does not leave me alone until I have finished a one-shot for him... Rather annoyin' cowboy, if you ask me.

Justice League: Vigilante, Batman, Flash, Green Arrow, Shining Knight.

Deadpool: Who else? DEADPOOL OF COURSE!!

In my earlier fics, Deadpool would always appear. Specifically in the Young Justice humorous fics. The reason he is there is because I wanted him to and that's it. I am very much aware that he belongs to Marvel. But I wanted to write for him because I loved the guy, had little experience with Marvel itself because I'm a DC fangirl, and no one could tell me how to write. So he's shoehorned into quite a few DC stories because... Well... Yes.

Hetalia: Russia (He's just so adorable!), Denmark, Canada, Cuba, Germany, America at times, Britain even fewer times, and France! Just gotta love that frog!

Denmark is a little ball of love that loves to knock me over the head with his beautiful battle ax until I write for him. I haven't written for Hetalia in a while either except for a crossover with Naruto, so you can't really expect much for me out of this.

Naruto: Kiba (The rabid plot wolf-like-bunny that won't leave me alone. You'll see a lot of him in my stories.), Kakashi, Tobirama (I don't know much about him. Just that he's cool looking, has water related jutsu, and is hated by one of my friends... So I love him.), Hidan, Sasori, and many more!

Naruto is my current obsession. The show, not the character. Naruto (the character) is okay, I guess. But the people that really get me are the side characters. Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto are an okay-ish team, and I guess a lot of people like them, but I don't really like them all that much. I prefer the much more adorable and less explored characters that could have the coolest backstories! Like Ibiki Morino or Genma Shiranui.

Kiba is the rabid plot wolf that refuses to stay still for more than two weeks. He appears out of nowhere, bites tightly until I have written, then returns to lurk the depths of my imagination until he decides to strike again. He is both adorable and terrifying and the person I love writing for the most when it comes to my fanfictions. Most of them will deal with him in some manner, either as a main character or a recurring secondary character.

Genma Shiranui is a chill kind of dude that refuses to be called a plot bunny, so we'll call him a plot farmer. He drifts in and out like Vigilante, but doesn't strong arm me to write for him. He just threatens with not leaving me alone until I finish up with him. And he's the star of one of my most popular stories yet, Genma Shiranui: Mother Hen Extraordinaire. If you haven't checked it out and like a good, funny read with angsty moments and adorable children, do so. You may just like it.

And Ibiki Morino is the silent killer with a golden heart that doesn't even bother me. He just stands in the corner, patiently waiting to be used in my stories. And I love him for constantly being a usable character in almost all situations (he's actually extremely versatile if given the right characterization).
